Wonderful Wedding Gown Shopping Experience!

Thank you, Jon, for a truly wonderful and memorable bridal gown shopping experience! Jon welcomed my mother, grandmother, and me into the beautiful store and immediately made me feel comfortable about the plan for our shopping experience. He listened intently and asked questions about the wedding venue, color story, and my vision for the gown. He has a wealth of experience and an artist’s eye, and he immediately pulled stunning gowns that fit my style, my body proportions, and our budget. I felt so beautiful trying on different gowns, and he helped me express my likes and dislikes and identify different elements of the dresses. He is so knowledgeable about fabrics, cuts, stitching, and colors! After lots of individual attention, I said “yes” to my dress, and I feel so wonderful about my choice and this experience. I would highly recommend Renaissance to anyone looking to find their special gown; Jon’s experience and kind attention, combined with their impressive inventory, made for a fabulous experience!

Personalized Experience

I could not have asked for a better experience. Jon was welcoming and truly wanted to make my bridal dress search personalized and special. The store itself is unique and elegant and the dress selection was fabulous. I appreciated having an intimate appointment with just my family in the bridal salon. Jon took interest in getting to know me and my family and really listened to what I was looking for. He gave great feedback and had a great understanding of fashion and what worked for my body. I found my dress and I absolutely love it! I would highly recommend!

Words cannot express

Words cannot even express my experience at this place! Jon was AMAZING! I went in, and he started the consult with a conversation about me. What I like as wedding options etc. then he brought this dress out that looked like it was MADE for me! I was so impressed with his professionalism and personalism. I ended up getting the second dress he picked out. Just speechless on the experience. Highly recommend to any bride that does not like to go shopping or is nervous or dreading the dress shopping experience.

A wonderful experience!

I had an amazing experience at Renaissance Bridals when shopping for my wedding dress. Jon spent the time with me prior to putting me in dresses, and was able to get *my* dress on the very first one. He then took the time to put me in other dresses to determine what I liked and didn't like to ensure that I felt confident that I knew which one was mine. He made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. It was so wonderful to work with him and find my dress!

The Say Yes to the Dress of York, Pa

I went into this shop apprehensive about where to start with the wedding gown process. John was AMAZING. He knew exactly how to help me pick a direction and lead me to the perfect dress within 30-35 minutes. He listened to EVERYTHING I had to say and based the dresses he pulled on my feedback. He was kind, encouraging and honest. I went to a couple other dress shops and none compared to the quality of the dresses and one on one service at Renaissance. The gowns at Renaissance are made with excellent craftsmanship and have comparable prices to the other shops I visited. Their gowns don’t shed glitter like the other shops I visited. I can’t recommend Renaissance enough.

Absolutely Amazing

I have been trying to find the words to express how elated I am that I had the pleasure of finding my dress at Renaissance Bridals. It is hard to explain the "feeling" that I had my entire appointment. Jon, one of the owners, is a true artist at work. He made me feel confident, comfortable, and we had a blast trying on dresses! The first choice picked by him was the "one." We still tried on other dresses, but when you know, you know! He chose a dress that I would have never picked off the rack myself and customized it while I was there making it the exact dream dress for me. He suggested a gorgeous veil and hair piece, which tied everything together and brought my mother and I to tears. You have the entire building to YOURSELF at your appointment. No pressure, no other eyes, just you and your loved ones-if you bring them. Jon, thank you for going above and beyond. You truly created the most special moment for my mother and I, and yes I am crying tears of joy typing this review!!

Amazing experience

If you are trying to find your dream dress I highly recommend Jon ! From the moment we walked in the door he made is feel so welcome ! He asked some questions about what I was looking for and not looking for. Right away he was pulling dresses that suited what I was going after. He put me in a dress and right away I loved it ! I said multiple times “I love this dress”
I said yes to the dress and he took my measurements and we did the paperwork all within 1 and 1/2 hours!

All Around Amazing Experience

From start to finish, Jon was absolutely a pleasure to work with. We had our own private room, which was really nice because there were no distractions or people to maneuver around. Jon really took the time to get to know me and understand the style of my wedding. I took the whole 1.5hrs for my appointment because I am very indecisive. We had another dress appointment right after, but the dresses didn't even compare to what we saw at Renaissance Bridal. I called him right after that appointment and he let me come back right away to try on the two dresses I was torn between. I was on a time crunch because we had a coordinator meeting to get to, and I was already running behind. He quickly helped me try on the dresses again, took my measurements, we bought the dress, and I was able to make it to my other appointment on time. I really appreciated his flexibility, knowledge of the dresses, and his kindness. Long story short, I couldn't be happier with my experience and my dress!! :)

AMAZING! John is the best!

John is AMAZING!!!!! Got my dress in 10 minutes!!!!
I got engaged end of May and we want to get married in November of this year - I knew this would be difficult to pull off and was nervous that it might not even be possible. I emailed the team to make an appointment and they were very timely and flexible. After not having luck at the previous bridal shop I was a little discouraged, but as soon as as I stepped into Renaissance I had a good feeling - it was very clean, professional, and personal. John took one look at my Pinterest board and began pulling dresses. I may not have been able to explain what I wanted in words but he knew exactly what I envisioned. I swear I was in the shop maybe 10 minutes and I had on the dress of my dreams! I knew it was the one the second I had it on! I wish I would have went to John at Renaissance first because he truly has a knack for what he does. John made me feel absolutely stunning in my dress and I cannot wait for my wedding.
**John has also helped my sister and cousin find their wedding dresses as well so I should known that’s where I would end up.

We had a fantastic experience at renaissance bridal!! Beth was very professional and responsive in setting up and adjusting our appointment time and John was such a delight to work with. He was very accommodating as I had to use a walker for the appointment and was extremely helpful with everything. He is very knowledgeable and helped me find my perfect wedding dress. It was also a very private and intimate experience - we were the only ones on the first floor for my appointment and the one-on-one experience made it that much more special! We would definitely recommend John and his team for anyone in the area!

They found the one!

I found a dress on Pinterest that I was infatuated with. I looked for bridal salons that might have it. We called around. My dress was listed in Renaissance’s inventory so we made an appointment. When we got there they didn’t have the sample for that dress, which was a bummer. I tried on a couple nice dresses and I really liked them but just couldn’t commit until I tried on THAT dress - my intuition was screaming at me. Not long after that visit I got an email from my stylist at Renaissance letting me know they had the sample of the dress I wanted! I went in, put the dress on, and just KNEW. No more searching. Staff was really pleasant and understanding. There is no on-site seamstress, but that was fine, I was just thrilled.

Absolutely amazing! 10/10

Jon was AMAZING. I had been to a few other appointments where the consultants were nice but really didn’t feel like they knew exactly what I was looking for. Jon immediately greeted us and sat down with us for about 10 minutes to ask about what my interests were, and I felt like he actually listened! He has SO much experience and knowledge, literally every dress he brought out was gorgeous and exactly what I had described. And when he brought out the one, he looked at me and said this is going to be your wedding dress, and he did not disappoint. I’m so glad I went here, it was the best experience and I said yes to the most beautiful dress!

After going to a couple salons in Lancaster, it was very clear to me that he knew what he was talking about and looking out for my best interest. It can be overwhelming but we had a great time at our appointment and every dress he brought out was just as lovely as the last. Dream Wedding Dress

I went to 3 other bridal shops before deciding to go to Renaissance. I was looking for a specific type of dress for my body type (strapless) and it seemed many other bridal shops had few options looking for a strapless lace, fitted gown. I was having decision fatigue between a few dresses and Jon helped me make a confident decision after THREE appointments with him in one week. I just picked up my dress over the weekend ( it shipped in about 4 months amid the pandemic!) and it's even more beautiful than I remembered. Thanks Jon!

Just the Absolute Best!

I went to another bridal store, and it was lovely. However, I cannot imagine going anywhere and having a better experience. Jon, the owner, was beyond amazing! He took the time to make sure I was comfortable. He listened to what I liked and disliked. Jon asked questions to ensure he understood what I was telling him. Once I found my dress, he did not pressure me to buy or push the appointment along. Jon allowed me to enjoy the moment with my mom and facetime my friends and family who couldn't make it in. An absolute dream come true, thanks to Renaissance

I bought my dress at Renaissance a few weeks ago, and oh what a beautiful experience it was. Being newly engaged is so exciting and one of the most anticipated and exciting parts of this process is the dress shopping!! Even though this is exciting it can also be a little anxiety provoking, especially for me who has always dreaded trying on clothes/feeling self conscious etc.

My experience at Renaissance was nothing short of magical. This was because of Jon, one of the owners, who created a safe, comfortable place for me, my mom and sister to have the best experience possible. Jon is charming, intuitive, authentic, and so brilliantly gifted at what he does. He did not sell me a dress, he created an experience. He helped guide and talk me through each dress helping me identify what I did and didn’t like about each piece until we found the one that was meant for me. There are no words to truly articulate how highly I recommend you to go here. You will not regret it. Go here if you want a genuine, personalized, empowering experience.

Meant to be!

When I visited Renaissance Bridals, I had been to about 4 other salons in the area and I was convinced that I was going to need to drive to a bigger city to find what I was looking for. I am about a size 14 in streetwear so the other salons just did not have the selection I needed to find my dress in my size so I was not able to try on many of the styles I liked, or if I could try them on they were so small that I couldn't imagine how it would really look in my size.

I had "my dress" saved in my phone, but every time I asked a local bridal salon if they had it they said no, but they could order it. I was not comfortable ordering it without every seeing it in person so I was ready to travel to a larger city to see it or move on and pick something else.

Jon called me the day before my appointment to ask what I was looking for, what my size was, my style, my budget...etc. He said he would pull a few dresses for me ahead of time. No other salon did this extra step so it was really nice.

I walked in the next morning and "my dress" was sitting there waiting for me! It was the first dress he pulled! I didn't even ask for this dress by name because I was ready to move on since no other salon I asked had it in stock! Jon pulled that dress without me even having to ask! It was the first dress I tried on during the appt. I tried on maybe 5 or 6 others, but I knew the first dress was mine! I was blown away that he pulled that dress and I never even told him about it!

I had to visit the salon alone because my family and bridal party live elsewhere and Jon also helped me facetime and take pictures so my Mom could be involved.

The shop itself is absolutely historic and beautiful and curvy brides they have a great selection for you to choose from!

An Unforgettable Wedding Dress Appointment!

First off, Jon is the best. And I mean that in the most sincere way. As soon as I walked in the door, I immediately felt like he really wanted to make my appointment THE MOST personal, joyful and beautiful experience.

But with being in such a stressful time and not being able to run business as usual due to the virus, he somehow turned that into an incredibly positive experience! He was able to sit down with me one-on-one to really understand what I was looking for so he could help me find exactly what I had envisioned (and more). The fact that we got to be the only bridal party there at the time made it such a relaxing and easy-going experience! It also felt really safe, because they are very careful with masks adorned, and keeping everything very sanitary. You can absolutely tell that they care deeply for their customers.

The most impressive part, is that I could tell he really cared and was giving me his undivided attention, because the very first dress he pulled was the dress that made me say YES!

I'm one of the most indecisive people. He wasn't pushy, and made sure that I was coming to my own conclusions about what I liked with each dress. He asked me questions per our consultation and let me come to my own conclusions about what I wanted. I had struggled at an appointment at another bridal salon for not knowing what I wanted, but here, he helped to make it the most enjoyable and easy experience.

Lastly, the building is absolutely gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about this place. I would recommend Renaissance Bridal to anyone looking for a dress. I will never forget my experience! Thank you, Jon!

Just wow!!

Planning a wedding is stressful. Planning a wedding during COVID is a whole new level. Renaissance was my 3rd stop for dresses and I'm happy to say my final! The experience started with a phone conversation with Jon (owner) the night before to go over where I'm at in the search process and what I'm looking for. He was so personable and I could already tell this experience was going to be different. The moment we showed up, our safety during these tough times was top priority with temp checks and sanitizer. Jon got to work and pulled a couple of dresses. This is where the story gets good..

First dress - immediately told my MoH that we'll probably be able to eliminate this one because it wasn't really what I was looking for. It had some of the things I wanted but was missing some things. Boy did that change once I saw myself in that mirror. Fast forward a few more dresses and I found myself comparing every dress to that first one. That was my dress. I put it back on and the eyes started watering. Jon knew. He had me put that dress on first on purpose. He knew based off of what I was looking for and once he saw me that dress would look amazing on me.

Morale of the story - Renaissance gives you that stress free and professional experience every bride to be needs right now.

Amazing!!!!

Due to Covid I had to email to get an appointment and Beth got back to me quickly. To my surprise I was able to get an appointment the next day. Jon helped me. He picked out some great options for me. He made me feel like I was on an episode of say yes to the dress. He actually pick the dress I said yes to. He jacked me up and this beautiful wedding song came on “not his doing” and the tears came. And I had to have that dress. Thanks Jon I can’t wait to wear the dress you helped me pick!

Safe, Intimate, Individualized, Client Focused

If you are struggling in the pandemic world to find a safe, intimate, individualized, client focused bridal store look no further!

When my fiancé and I got engaged in July we were so excited but we quickly realized that planning our wedding would look totally different that we could ever imagine… Much like so many big events this year that everyone has postponed from weddings, big vacations and holiday celebrations. We were looking forward to having our friends and family around us during the entire planning process.
Renaissance Bridal and Prom made my dress shopping experience so special by making us feel safe and locking out all of the problems of the world (even just for 2 hours). Upon entering the store we had our temperatures taken and were provided handsanatizer to ensure that the store remains a clean area. Jon (one of the store’s owners) helped me feel like the beautiful bride, finding the styles of dress that fit my body and wants best. Additionally, he made me, my mother and grandmother feel right at home in our one-on-one appointment. My dress shopping experience was better than I could even ask for even without being in an international pandemic. Since my family and I were the only clients in the building were the primary focus having the opportunity to try any dress that we wanted and having Jon’s undivided attention.

Intimate, Personalized, Perfect

The owner, Jon, found the perfect dress for me on the first try! The appointment was intimate and personalized. Jon asked what style I was looking for and managed to find a dress even better than I imagined. The first dress I tried on was perfect, but he challenged it by pulling more dresses to see how I responded to different but similar options. He truly has a gift for matching the bride with the perfect dress! They have a huge inventory with so many amazing styles and options. He also made me feel safe by giving us hand sanitizer, doing temperature checks, and wearing a mask the whole time. At the time, I was the only bride in the shop and it was so nice having the personal touch of just me, my mom, and Jon at the appointment. It made the experience much more relaxed, very low pressure, and so much fun!

The BEST experience!

I visited Renaissance Bridal during the COVID-19 pandemic, so you could say that I was bit apprehensive about the visit. From the moment we walked in, however, we felt right at home! They had practices in place to ensure safety of all of us and themselves. Thierry was AMAZING! She chose a beautiful dress for me to try on that wasn't even on my radar- and I knew it was the one from the moment I tried it on. I can't wait to wear it on the best day of my life! Love Renaissance Bridals! I unfortunately already had my dress when I came here but I found everything I needed in accessories instead! I loved my veil and the belt was so perfect everyone thought it was part of the dress to begin with.

Felt like a princess

I cannot express how awesome the whole experience was. I had been to try on dresses At 3 other places prior to my visit to Renaissance Bridal and even tried to order dresses off line. I was honestly starting to feel a little hopeless about trying to find a dress. I am having a destination wedding and thought, I just want something lightweight and simple so why not try online retailers or even prom dresses. Total fail each time the dresses would arrive at my door. From beginning to end this was by far the best experience I had. I worked with Julia and she really listened to what I was looking for and dialed into those details to help me find the absolute perfect dress. I would 100% recommend Renaissance Bridal to anyone looking for a dress! You will feel and look like a princess!

Julia (Bridal Consultant) was WONDERFUL! I had shown her a few dress options I liked on Pinterest and she found an almost exact style. It was the first dress I tried on and the very last before I took the plunge and said yes to the dress! I honestly didnt consider myself a crier but I absolutely had that weepy bride moment and Julia teared up right along with me. :) Julia is unbelievablly sweet and clearly invests in you as a client- she is genuinely touched to share in your moment. For being a glorified stranger, she felt more like a friend and I am very thankful to have had her help with this process.

Appointment with Bree

My experience was amazing!! I came into this appointment with a "dress to beat" and Bree rose to the occasion. She blew that dress out of the water with every pick! She did an amazing job of grabbing gowns that suited my preferences and helped me pick the one for me. She was great with my family and the whole process. For anyone who's looking for that flashy show stopping gown, this is the place. Their dresses are full of drama and glitz, I was in love with almost every gown I tried on. Dresses in the shop were also extremely affordable. The shop can fit almost any budget!

Worth the trip from anywhere.

This bridal boutique is AMAZING. I went to so many other shops and the process became painful. I just wanted to give up. It was a bit of a drive for me to go to Renaissance, but it was worth it. No where else could compare to their selection, and the ambiance. I worked with Julia, who I cannot compliment enough. She was patient, kind and had great suggestions to make every dress perfect. I told her my likes and dislikes and nearly every dress she brought out could have been “the one”. They were even in my size, unlike everywhere else. There was no pressure to buy at the top of my budget, and she even showed me a beautiful gown on clearance for $99. Love this place. I’m a little sad now that I found my dress, because looking for it there was such a great experience.

My Dress Was One of My Favorite Parts of the Day!

I had a great experience with Renaissance. I went to a few dress boutiques before renaissance, and did not receive the same kind of attention and excitement at other shops as I got from the moment I stepped into Renaissance. I worked with Julie, and she was both interested in what I was looking for, as well as a top-notch dress stylist. I found my perfect dress in under an hour, and have had no doubt in my mind that I’ve selected the perfect dress ever since! I am a curvy bride, and was nervous I would just settle for something that “does the trick”, and not actually love it, but I love this dress. I feel gorgeous in it, and was showered with compliments all day. Renaissance has a whole list of well-known designers available, and the service I received was unparalleled. I’ve known 3 other brides who have gotten their dresses from here since I got mine, and they all feel the same way!

The Dress of my Dreams!

From the moment my family and I stepped into Renaissance Bridals it felt like everything was taken care of! We were greeted by store owner, John, welcoming us! Once I checked in at the counter my stylist, Abbie, welcomed us into a private dressing room with seats for your guests, an area to try on dresses, and a large all around mirror! She sat with us and got a feel for what I wanted in my dress. She offered us mimosas or water while she was pulling a few dresses to get us started.
Now it was time to get going and try on the gowns!! I put the first one on and walked out to see my family's reactions and finally saw it for myself. WOW, it was stunning! Abbie went to get a belt to add and John brought in a veil for me, so I could get the total look. WOW again!! We all were in love, but it was the first one I put on, but definitely a front runner! After trying on a few, nothing was comparing to that first dress! Once we tried on the other gowns I put the first dress back on and I knew that was MY dress!! The whole look was so prefect and I was doing the "bridal wiggle" as Abbie called it!
I just want to thank Abbie & John for making this experience so memorable and allowing me to find the dress of my dreams!

My dreams come true!

I would give Renaissance Bridals 10 stars if I could! Julia was my consultant and she literally made my dreams come true! I had such high hopes and expectations for my dress shopping experience that I was preparing myself to be disappointed, because I thought there was no way my expectations would be met. But Julia and Renaissance Bridals exceeded my expectations. Julia listened to me and knows the inventory so well that she pulled dresses that were exactly what I wanted. And she seemed genuinely happy and excited for me when I found my dress. Again, I can't thank Julia and Renaissance Bridals enough for making my dreams come true!

Great dresses! Great people! Great experience!

If you want the perfect dress and an incredible shopping experience… LOOK NO FURTHER! My crew and I had an amazing time at Renaissance Bridals, and created special memories that will last a lifetime! If you are not only looking for the perfect dress (which I promise you will find here as they have a huge collection), but that memorable and sentimental experience, this is the bridal shop for you! I went to three other shops before going to Renaissance, and not one of them had what I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, I tried on a lot of beautiful dresses along the way, but I felt like each shop either did not understand what I was looking for, or did not have the types of dresses I was seeking. Needless to say, I was discouraged and losing hope. I had quite the opposite experience at Renaissance. I sent over a couple of pictures and descriptions of what I liked before my scheduled appointment, and the only place to look at them before my arrival was Renaissance. In fact, Julia already had a bunch of dresses pulled based on what I sent to her, so she did not waste time! I felt like a VIP! Upon our arrival, they offered us mimosas, and created a very relaxing yet exciting environment to try on the dresses. Julia was amazing! It is so obvious she really has a passion for what she does… and is great at it! Within the first 3 dresses, I had 3 dresses I could have walked out with and been happy! She took her time and put me in each of those 3 dresses multiple times! I never felt rushed or pressured! She truly cared more about you feeling amazing in what you were wearing on the big day and less about making a sale. It was clear they wanted me to know that it was the perfect dress for me! Not to mention they stayed well within my budget. I said “yes” to the dress, and am so blessed to have done so at such a great place with such great people! I would recommend to any bride, bridesmaid or mother!

Loved them!!

Julia was amazing!! It was such a great experience and I am so glad I had her as my consultant! She allowed me to try on as many dresses as I wanted! Renaissance provided me the best dress shopping experience!

Renaissance was the first place that I went to try on wedding gowns. I had an idea of what I was looking for but was pretty open to trying different things. I worked with Abbie during my appointment and she pulled such beautiful gowns for me to try on. She was very helpful in asking me questions to help me narrow down which dresses I loved the most! Once we narrowed down the dresses to my favorites, we tried them on again and I instantly knew what dress was mine. I can’t thank Abbie enough for helping me find the most perfect gown for my wedding day! Great selection of very affordable designer dress.

So glad I went here on a last minute suggestion after shopping all over Baltimore and not finding anything. Julia was wonderful and everything I would hope for in a bridal consult, she was very flexible, understandable, patient and very accommodating to my family. After running around for hours she was able to help me find the perfect dress!

Bridal Experience

I want to recognize Julia. Walking into the store on a Saturday afternoon was a bit chaotic. However, in the midst of all of the that, Julia was the one to step up to the plate and acknowledge my mother and I right away! Throughout the whole experience, Julia was so flexible and made me feel special. I had no idea what kind of dress I wanted but she was able to work around that and narrow my choice down. Do the best you can to grab Julia. She was amazing!!!!

The perfect experience!

Renaissance Bridals was the perfect salon to find my dress. Abbie was so helpful and really listened to what i wanted and helped guide me through the process of choosing my dress. Every dress I tried on she would attempt to pin and clamp to fit my body so I could really picture what the dress would look like when it was made for me. In a previous salon my family was told to go pick the dresses and there was no designated changing area so I had to change in front of my friends and family. At Renassiance, Abbie picked the dresses out after viewing my list of wish dresses, stuck to my budget, and I was able to change in a changing room and Abbie only came in when I was ready to zipped up. It was a very kind, professional, and considerate environment and I loved every minute of it. The owner also made an appearance and provided much needed advice on what I should consider when choosing my dress. In the end I said yes to the dress!!! I am not a hugger but I hugged Abbie when we were finished! If you want to find the perfect dress and have the best shopping experience you must go to Renaissance Bridals!!

Best experience

I had the best time at Renaissance Bridals! I brought my mother, soon to be mother-in-law, and two bridesmaids, and everybody was professionally and kindly accommodated. Katie M. was the absolute best consultant! She helped me try on at least 8-10 different gowns. I know it is a-lot, but I was there about 2.5 hours trying on gowns, and Katie was so kind throughout the entire process, not rushing me, going to find new styles I wanted to try, all while not going over my budget. In the end, I found my perfect gown, UNDER BUDGET, all thanks to Renaissance! I would definitely recommend to anybody who wants a very personal experience trying on gowns, with no pressure or rush!

Renaissance Bridal was upmost the best intimate experience I had while finding the perfect dress! Julia pulled so many dresses for me and I got to try on a lot that were exactly what I was looking for. Not only was Julie very attentive, she made me feel relaxed. All of the other staff were very nice and the selection of dresses they had were on point! I would recommend going there to anyone! So happy I said yes to my dress there, Keep in mind I went to NYC to Kleinfields, Rk Bridal and a smaller Boutique store at my hometown. Another plus about the bridal experience at Renaissance you can get a private room and mimosas while you try on dresses what can get better than that? This was the first and last place I went to try on dresses for my up and coming wedding. I was very happy with the selection of dresses, and ultimately was able to find my dream dress thanks to the wonderful staff. I highly reccomend giving them a chance. You won't be disappointed.

I am very happy that I was able to find my wedding dress here! The staff were all very friendly and truly interested in my happiness. The only thing that would have been more helpful would be for them to have an onsite seamstress for alterations. Other than that, I recommend this dress shop to anyone looking for wedding dresses!

My daughter and I had only had 6 weeks until her boyfriends Prom. We are from Maryland. We started in Maryland and ended here at Renaissance Bridal & Prom. In 3 weeks we visited 12 stores. In all 12 stores we found a "maybe dress" as a fall back in Westminster, Maryland. Then we came to Renaissance and found 3 dresses that we had a hard time choosing from!!! This place is amazing! The staff was super helpful without being pushy, the selection is the best! Honestly, I wish we had just come here first. We could've saved so much time and energy.

Let me bring you along on my journey. My fiancé is joining the AF, and last minute we decided to bump up our wedding leaving ourselves with 30 days to plan (crazy I know). Im thinking I’ll have no options and accept the fate I’ll be walking down in a dress I feel mediocre in AT BEST. I had gone to Renaissance before and knew if I had enough time, it’d be where Id want to get my wedding dress but simply didn’t the it’d be possible with 30 days before the big day.

Some god spoken feeling told me to call them, and they were a gift from the good Lord himself. John, his wife, and my consultant Julia were SO pleasant. Greeted my mom and I with mimosas and brought out dresses that could be bought off the rack that fit me like a glove. I walked out with my dream dress/viel, and my mom was able to get a beautiful MOB dress as well.

I sit here still in shock that I have the dress I would have wanted even if I had light years to plan a wedding.

They gave an experience to me every bride deserves when finding a dress and one that no other dress store could compare with.

Renaissance Bridal welcomed me and my fiance with open arms. They seemed to understand that it is a very personal decision as to whom a bride brings when searching for her gown. Thank you for helping him to feel included and wanted. Additionally, my girlfriend and I made our appointments close in time so we could travel together as a group. Renaissance Bridal took the experience one step further and set us both up in the same dressing station so we were fortunate to see each others gown selections and support each others decisions. Yes! We both found our dream gown at Renaissance Bridal!! Finally, we had, not intentionally, closed down the shop that Monday evening. The owner and ladies never made us feel like we needed to rush. Instead, they brought out champagne for us and celebrated us. I will not go anywhere else for my bridesmaids dresses. The genuine kindness and impeccable service Renaissance offers is above all the rest.

I had the best experience when I went to rennaissnace Bridal. My consultant went above and beyond to make time for me and stayed till after they closed to continue helping me find my dress. This was my first visit and I walked out of there with a dress I loved and the best experience. She gave me so much advice and worked with my budget. My experience with rennainsance has been excellent! I thought I wasnt going to be able to find dresses within my budget but I was so wrong! Check them out weddings, Proms,formals!

I called this week to see if they fit me in last minute for an appointment, and they found me a slot that was perfect for me! I loved walking in today and getting greeted by the owner who welcomed us with a smile! She was very sweet and so kind, she asked me about what style i was looking for, and what size street closes i wore, and never talked to me about "wedding dress" sizes which was amazing! I am a plus size bride, and they had so many options. She then proceeded to ask me what things i liked in a dress, and what i thought i was looking for, then headed off and grabbed me a few and they were so beautiful! One of the dresses she pulled was absolutely perfect, and had everything i had everything wanted and more! The second dress was so perfect that I ended up getting to take it home! They were great at working with price, my needs, and what i was looking for! Today could not have been a better experience! After trying on close to 100 dresses at other bridal locations all around Baltimore I didn't think Renaissance would be much different, but I was wrong! From the moment I walked in (with my mother and maid of honor) I could tell that their selection was specially curated. Renaissance Bridal is a wonderful store! I bought my wedding dress here for my wedding back in May. The funny thing is, I didn't go to the store with the intention to buy my dress there! My mother was looking for her dress and we decided to check out Renaissance Bridal, that was the first time we went. There, our consultant was Abby, we looked at dresses for my mother but unfortunately did not find one. Abby suggested we look at wedding dresses for fun and low and behold we found my dress! It was so much fun! I didn't expect to find my dress so we looked at some dresses I probably wouldn't have tried on just for the fun of it and it worked out! I can't thank Abby enough for convincing me to try dresses on! Because my experience with my bridal dress was so great we decided to go back a second, third and fourth time to look for Mother of the Bride/ Groom dresses and Accessories! I would recommend going to any of their events, they have such a large section you are certain to find what you are looking for! It took my mother more stores and dresses to find her dress than it did mine! We looked at Renaissance I think 3 times for her and luckily the last time we found it! I had the best experiences there and would recommend this store to anyone and everyone!

WOW! I am still glowing after my experience yesterday (7/13/17) at Renaissance Bridal to find and purchase my wedding dress! They were so accommodating when I called to change my appointment time and when we arrived we were greeted with welcoming faces and offered mimosas to start our morning off right. Immediately walking into the store I knew this would be the place I found MY DRESS! Julia was my consultant and she did an excellent job running the appointment. She took the time to sit down with me at the beginning of the process to learn about my style, my likes, our wedding venue, and all other intricate details. She quickly pulled dresses that were exactly what I was looking for. The very first dress she put me in was great! She nailed it - that dress was "ME". After trying on a few others, I kept going back to the first one. She told me she had another dress similar to the one I loved that she wanted me to try as well! As soon as I put that dress on I was in love! We switched back and forth between the two in order to compare them back to back. Then Julia suggested we try adding a strap to the dress. GAME CHANGER! This little detail made all the difference and quickly helped me decides YES, we found THE ONE!!!! Many other staff members all agreed this dress was stunning for me and the owners offered us Champagne to celebrate!

We were not quite done yet. Before leaving we wanted to check out what Bridesmaid dresses they had to offer. I was able to find the perfect colors for my girls and my Matron of Honor even found her dress too all in the same day! I cannot wait to bring the rest of my girls back to the store to pick out their dresses. I had a wonderful experience at Renaissance Bridal and would absolutely recommend this shop to any bride looking for their perfect dress!

This past Saturday June 2, 2017 I had the wonderful experience of purchasing my wedding gown at Renaissance Bridal located in the heart of York in Pennsylvania. Being a wedding planner and traveling all the way from Long Island, New York, in was essential my entourage and I did our research. We had been planning my wedding dress search extravaganza for months, so trust me when I say the reviews really help when narrowing down where to shop. After reading raving review after review about this quaint boutique, we immediately added it to our list of "must go places." Upon arrival we were greeted with warm smiles, and an offering of champagne or mimosas to help kick-start our journey through Princess closet Heaven! I worked with Michaela and we reviewed my budget and style preference and in a jiffy she was back with her hands full of gorgeous gowns. As I tried them on each felt more and more beautiful then the next. Ugh... this was going to be so hard. That is until of course I found "the one". I must say you know how everyone says that feeling in the movies is a bunch of nonsense and you really won't crumble to a ball of happy tears? Well.. whoever told you that LIED! I had found my dress... the dress I would marry my best friend in. I had never felt more beautiful, I cried.. Mom cried...my aunt cried.. I'm pretty sure other bride's entourage's were brought to tears. The owner Beth had walked over and placed a veil on my head and that was it, we were all sold! Chi-ching slide the credit card this is the dress.Now I will be honest, singing birds do not come and dress me each morning and we did have a minor hip-cup after purchase, but like true great customer service I had the opportunity to discuss the matter with the owner directly and it was quickly resolved, thus the never ending rainbows. I can't wait to go back and try it on once more after all the alterations. I will be sure to write a review in regards to that process as well, for now a huge THANK YOU!

I got my wedding dress at Renaissance, and it was a great experience. Abbie was my consultant, and she gave me as much time as I needed to try on dresses. (I wasn't rushed out after an hour, which happened somewhere else). The dress was beautiful, and it even came in early. I wish I could wear it more than once! I received many compliments on it.

I have gone to Renaissance Bridal for two dresses so far. One for the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant and the other for my WEDDING DAY! My pageant dress was entirely and exactly what I asked for. As far as my wedding dress goes, its the absolute opposite of what I had envisioned for myself; however, for all the right reasons. Deborah specifically asked me what I wanted and she pulled multiple dresses that I requested. I started to feel as though my vision didn't match my satisfaction when I actually had the dresses on me. Deborah asked me what I liked and what I didn't like after EVERY dress I had on which helped her filter out the dresses that just didn't work. She listened to every word I said. I tried on (I think) 6-8 dresses and I was stuck between two of them. Deborah was EXTREMELY patient with me because I think I tried both dresses on 3 different times and she continued to ask me questions to help with my decision. I finally came to a conclusion and my dress is absolutely flawless. It was $1200 and I could have sworn it was going to be more. I am SO OBSESSED with it and I wouldn't have known that the one I fell in love with was the COMPLETE opposite of what I originally wanted. Her assistants and the owner were there too and their feedback wasn't persuasive to either dress, they continued to make it all about MY decision. I felt so comfortable there, the staff was extremely welcoming and Deborah made her entire time working with me, all about me. I STRONGLY suggest Renaissance Bridal because they are so professional, personal, and LOVE what they do!

Let me just preface I went to a few bridal shops before going to Renaissance, and my experience at Renaissance blew all of them out of the water. I worked with Deborah, and she was incredibly professional and knew what she was doing. She asked me what I was looking for/price range (which was <$1200). I told her I wanted something, soft, classic, romantic, and a little princess/fairy taleish. She pulled out 4 dresses that were exactly the type I was looking for!-honestly, any one of the dresses could have been the ONE. The one dress she pulled out was a little outside of my comfort zone- but it ended up being the one I chose. I ended up buying a beautiful satin Casablanca dress modeled after Kate Middleton's wedding gown for $1000. I'm very happy with my choice and highly recommend this shop. Another thing I liked that was an added bonus was that they let me dress my self and I didn't have to get nearly-naked in front of a stranger and my fan club. That might be an important piece of info for some people.

The woman who helped me find my dress was so smart about knowing what shapes and styles would look best on me. I didnt have to try on dress after dress because she truly listened to what I said. While the place is expensive, they provide dresses that are show stoppers and not ones that every other girl is wearing. I felt so special on my wedding day.

Any venue that greets you with a mimosa gets a 5 on my scale! In all honesty, Renaissance Bridal was amazing and just what I needed. We had 4 months from engagement to actual wedding, so dress choices were limited and primarily what a store already had in stock.

I am not the bride that says "yes to the dress". Shopping in general overwhelms me, so wedding dress shopping was a whole new level. So many dresses, so many options. It was my least favorite part of the wedding experience, until I arrived at Renaissance Bridal.

Renaissance Bridal took us to a room and brought us dresses! My sister got to relax and watch me try on dresses. They would bring more based on what we liked and didn't like. The first 2 dresses they brought me were my favorite.

I walked in wanting to buy a dress from them and left buying a dress that same day.

They also provided onsite alterations. I have no idea how they did it, but they nailed it first try! Since I bought off the rack, the dress needed significant alterations, but they had the dress fit look a glove, perfect!

Thank you Renaissance Bridal for making me feel like a princess on my wedding day!

I had gotten a coupon at one of the bridal shows I attended for Renaissance Bridal, so I decided to go and at least look. Once there I was asked what my budget for my dress was. I hadn't given it much thought so I said the first thing that came to mind, $700. I was told that their dresses usually start around $1000 but they would do their best to help me. In my mind I was thinking "Oh great these dresses are going to be way too expensive and these ladies are going to be rude thinking I am a waste of time." My experience was quite the opposite though. The Bridal team really did do their best to help me and where VERY nice about it. They put me in some beautiful dresses that fight more into my made up $700 budget. I ended up buying my dress from them and I could not have been happier!

Dress shopping for me was the most painful part of wedding planning. I knew the type of dress I wanted and EVERY other shop I went to just did not get it. I was at Renaissance for all of twenty minutes and they had me in a dress that I knew was the one and I did not think that I would know when I found the dress. Renaissance is a great place to get dresses for every occasion. My sister, sister-in-law and I all bought our wedding dress from here over the past few years as well as multiple prom and homecoming dresses when we were in high school. I attended a bridal show in January where I made an appointment to visit Renaissance Bridal to receive a surprise discount in an envelope they were giving out if you booked that day. I found the most amazing dress that was just slightly over my budget. I joked and said that I would only get it if they amount of the discount in my envelope matched the overage of my budget. To my surprise it did! Exactly! I couldn't have been happier with my choice, everyone raved over my dress and how elegant it was. The staff was friendly and accommodating and overall I had a very pleasant experience here.

All the sales ladies, managers, owners, and seamstress that helped me at Renaissance were wonderful! At each appointment they went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for and to make my mom and I comfortable while we were in their shop. My dress was too big at my final fitting the week of my wedding. The ladies didn't panic, they told us to go grab lunch. We came back an hour later and my dress fit perfectly! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this shop. I started when I was in high school where I got ALL my prom dresses. My experience has always been an amazing one, and I was so happy I said yes to the dress there!! The work that was done was amazing. Since I am short, I have to get measurements of the dress I found so it could be made to my size so I wouldn't lose all the beading at the bottom. Being that I live in North Carolina, I was a little hesitant to purchase a gown out of town, but I knew I wanted to go shopping with my mother and grandmother. I'm originally from York, PA so I decided to visit my mother and make appointments at bridal salons in York to see if I could find anything. Deborah from Renaissance was truly a dream to work with. She worked within my budget and pulled exactly what I had described to her. I got to so many compliments on my dress and have to tell myself not to put in on everyday since the wedding.

From my initial appointment through my final fitting, I have had a wonderful experience with this store and its staff! The consultants were extremely helpful and kind, the selection is great, the prices (in my opinion) were very fair, and the alterations were extremely well-done and affordable too. They made sure that I was 100% satisfied with the dress in every way possible. Not only did I buy my wedding dress here, but all of my bridesmaids bought their dresses here, and my two sister-in-laws have purchased their wedding dresses here. I highly recommend for central PA brides!

There is one aspect of wedding dress shopping that brides should be aware of -- many (if not most) stores do not permit you to "pull" your own dresses to try on. If you've watched "Say Yes to the Dress" you know why. It seems to be an industry standard. If this is off-putting to you or bothers you in any way, my suggestion would be to ask the stores before making an appointment if you will be allowed to look through dresses yourself and pull them. In my case, there was a dress in the window that I loved from the moment I saw it, and had everything I wanted, and of course the consultant took it down for me to try on (and that wound up being my dress!). But for the most part, they prefer you to describe the attributes and price you're looking for, and they take care of the rest. I found that to be very effective with this shop because they know their stock!

Renaissance Bridal was amazing! Such a great staff and so knowledgeable and helpful. My first appointment to pick out my dress went great. I think I tried on 2-3 dresses before I found my dress and found a perfectly matching veil too! They knew exactly what I wanted and had a ton of options in my price range. My alterations also turned out beautiful. I was amazed with what they could do with such an intricate dress (Cassablanca 1995). My mom got her dress and jewelry from them as well and she looked awesome. So glad I chose Renaissance and I felt so beautiful.

I went here to find my wedding dress. I told Beth what style dresses I liked the budget. Each dress Beth pulled for me was perfect. I ended up being torn between three dresses but in the end picked the most perfect ball gown by Maggie Sottero. My dress came in a timely manner. The alterations were tricky but the seamstress was truly amazing. The alteration day was on a very busy saturday and took around 3 hours. They spent even minute making sure my dress fit me perfectly. I did not even feel like it was busy, I felt like I was the only person in the store. My dress was perfect and would recommend this to anyone.

I recently went to look at wedding dresses at Renaissance thinking I knew exactly what I wanted. My group was greeted right away and asked if we would like anything to drink. My assistant Deborah right off the bat was very in tune to what I was looking for in my wedding dress. She asked what my budget was and after we had that out of the way she pulled a bunch of dresses for me. Initially I wanted an open back lace dress and thought that was the dress style for me. I tried on a bunch of dresses like this and thought that I had found the one. Deborah asked if I was open to trying a dress with a lace covered back – I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not. Turns out that was the dress I purchase a week later. She listened to what I wanted but also knew I wasn’t completely sold on the style. She worked with me and well within my budget to pick out a dress I wouldn’t have ever imagined myself in. Needless to say if you go to Renaissance I would highly recommend Deborah. She isn’t pushy she knows what she is talking about and will make you feel gorgeous in every dress and can read your body language to gauge if you like the dress or not!

When I went to look for a dress, I had no idea what I wanted. Deborah spent about 10 minutes with me and picked out the dress of my dreams; the first dress I tried on! She is amazing!!! Of course, I couldn't just be an easy bride and buy it - I had to try on different dresses and at different places and Deborah was so supportive. When I knew for sure that I wanted that dress, Deborah even stayed late (she missed part of her family reunion) so I could come back and get it. She has been with me every step of the way - trying on the dress, dress fitting, etc. and has been awesome! She picked out amazing and original jewelry and I received so many compliments on my wedding day!

I can't speak more highly of Renaissance in general. I spoke with the owner several times who has been extremely nice and accommodating and the seamstresses - wow - they are fantastic! Everyone I came into contact with was so wonderful at Renaissance and I couldn't have been more happy with my experience.

Loved my dress and when we went back for alterations, they were very helpful and thoughtful. So glad I got the dress of my dreams here!

I got my dream wedding gown from Renaissance Bridal. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the bridal consultant, Deborah. She was friendly, gave great recommendations (i.e. fit and material), and found the perfect gown for me to try after hearing exactly what it was that I envisioned. Once I had on the gown, she found the perfect accessories to enhance the entire look (belt and straps).

I could not have been more excited to show off my gown at my wedding this past weekend. My guests raved about how gorgeous my dress was. It truly was beautiful! I didn't want to take it off!

The only downfall with Renaissance is that their lovely shop is not wheelchair accessible.

Renaissance helped to outfit the bride, mother of the bride, groom and groomsmen. They were amazing to work with. They were timely, reliable and were genuine in their excited to work with my family and friends. They provided honest feedback, encouraging things that worked for me and not focusing on boosting their sale. Highly recommended for any bride who would love to feel on top of the world.

Renaissance Bridal offered superb service for my bridal party and me. I purchased and had my dress altered using Renaissance and couldn’t have been more pleased. My dress was beautiful and unique and I received many compliments on my wedding day.

I had gone out shopping for a dress at a well known chain store. I was only able to find one that, I liked but wasn't in love, so decided to find some smaller Bridal shops. I came across Renaissance Bridal and made my appointment. My mom and aunt went with me the day of my appointment.

My consultant, Mandy, was so welcoming. We walked in and were welcomed right away. Mandy took the time to find out if I had anything in mind and I did but also told her, I was wide open for suggestions as well. She took us back to a beautiful room, while she went and searched for some dresses to try on. Not once did she ask for my size and I am a plus size lady. She came back with 3 dresses and we started trying them on. She asked me personal questions, and wedding questions. I got to know her personally as well. I felt like a friend was helping me try on dresses rather then a sales rep. If I didn't like the dress 100% she wanted to know what I did like. Eventually she found the dress for me. Introduced me to a local designers sashes and I fell in love with my dress.

I ended up buying my dress that very day. The people in Renaissance, gave me the most wonderful experience, I would have asked for. I didn't feel like, I was being rushed or looked over for my size or my price range. I have told a few friends to ask for Mandy as well. Ran into Jon, at the bridal show this past weekend and he even remembered seeing myself and my mother in the shop as well. We talked a little more and I couldn't imagine getting my dress anywhere else. I look forward to the next year, working with me on my dress and the Tuxedos as well! Possibly Bridemaids dresses as well!!!

I chose Renaissance Bridals initially based on the brands they carried that I was interested in taking a look at. It's a cute little boutique in a old townhouse with a lot of charm and beautiful gowns. They had a variety of gowns in my price range and showed me based on what would look best on my body type- not just the cost (I ended up getting the dress for a lot less than what my max budget was). My mom, mother in law and sisters and I had such a fun time trying on dresses- a handsome gentleman served mimosas and the staff were fun and helpful. We also bought bridesmaids dresses through the salon and my girls were very pleased with them and it was easy for the girls to call in their sizes (they were all over the state).

Above all else, the staff went above and beyond to help and accommodate whatever I needed which was very much appreciated. I stopped in a few times to try on the dress and get fitted and everyone I encountered was fantastic. Alterations were perfect and they addressed everything I wanted!

I had a wonderful experience at Renaissance Bridal! My consultation when I chose my dress was very special, the service far exceeded any other shop I had went to. I also picked out my veil and shoes from Renaissance. I had such a great experience that I also used them for my bridesmaid dresses. One of my bridesmaids was pregnant, so Renaissance worked with me on the options and getting extra fabric.

The alterations on my wedding dress were perfect and they taught my maid of honor how to bustle the dress. Even living out of town, they were accommodative to my schedule. I had no issues with the dress at all on my wedding day and felt comfortable the entire day. The excellent service at Renaissance made my experience of picking my wedding dress and first fitting even more special!
