  Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

  Corey was phenomenal to work with! We truly felt like he went above and beyond in every aspect of our event. From the initial meeting, to the taste-testing, to the on-location planning, Corey worked extremely hard to make our vision of our wedding dinner come to life. He offered honest feedback and gave us sound advice on questions we had. We can honestly say that there was not one hiccup when it came to our caterer or our wedding dinner. Our wedding was in the summer of 2017 and our friends and family still talk about how amazing our wedding food was. Thank you Corey and staff for blowing us and our guests away!

  Creative & Amazing Caterer

  Corey and The Red Onion team were creative and flexible with our custom wedding menu, for less than other vendor's most basic options. I shared my wedding's theme and location, and he was able to create a "Victorian, Western, American Gothic, Boho" meal that our guests are still raving about 3 years later. You cannot go wrong with The Red Onion Racine

  We love Chef John!

  Chef John and the Red Onion Cafe did a wonderful job at our reception! The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and all staff members are terrific. We chose a buffet setup for 150 guests; this included individually plated and served salad (try their house dressing, it's delicious), along with bread for the table. We received nothing but positive reviews from our guests on the food and service. We could not be happier with the service Chef John and the Red Onion provided us on our special day. I personally have bartended wedding receptions for the past 5 years; when it was our turn for our wedding, there was no choice to make, we knew Chef John was the catering vendor for us. If you want flawless service and food, these guys are the best!

  We went with Chef John and the Red Onion because they have such a unique menu. If you're looking for something different and delicious, this is the place to go. We had plenty of food on our buffet for a good price. The food was warm and cooked just right. The serving staff was pleasant and on top of things. Our contact, Corey, was always helpful and gave thorough responses to our questions in a timely manner. They were flexible with our tasting and even let us take the leftovers home for the family members who couldn't make it. I've also been to the Red Onion Cafe on other occasions. The food is scrumptious and the employees are always cheerful. I highly recommend the Red Onion and Chef John catering.
