Vidya made the process and experience as easy and stress-free as possible. I was an indecisive bride; I knew if I liked something or if I didn't but I had a hard time putting it into words. I changed my mind a lot during the makeup trial. Vidya was very patient the whole time and really gave me space to see what I liked best. She gave me advice on what would work well based on my facial features and my outfit and jewelry. Red Lotus Artistry does makeup and hair and I was also picky on hair. I knew I wanted to have jasmine flowers in my hair but couldn't find an inspo pic to bring my vision to life. Vidya drew an inspo pic and I trusted it and it was worth it. I loved my wedding hair and makeup. She worked with Tassi on my hair and it was better than I could have hoped for. She was there for me the whole time and really made me feel cared for. She even stood nearby with a cotton pad and tissue while I was getting first look photos taken so I wouldn't smear my makeup while crying.
I was wearing traditional Indian attire for my wedding and Vidya did a great job of helping me get dressed and pinning everything in place. The string for my skirt broke and she was able to quickly find a new thread, attach the decorative baubles at the end and get me ready in record time!
I would (and have) recommended them to a friend. I can't wait to see what beautiful look she creates for my beautiful friend's wedding as well! -

I have never experienced so much kindness, flexibility, and grace as I did with the Red Lotus team. My sister’s wedding was in November 2025, and Vidhya and her team truly came in and conquered. From unexpected schedule setbacks to emotional moments, they were the calm within the storm for both my sister and me.
They were incredibly accommodating and made sure my sister felt beautiful, confident, and fully supported throughout her special weekend. And as for the hair and makeup — WOWZA! They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and behold… we looked absolutely stunning.
I highly recommend the Red Lotus team for all bridal beauty needs. Thank you to these beautiful ladies for making the weekend so unforgettable! -

I don’t think there are words that I can even come to think about let alone write about Vidyaben and her team. The instant we met with her in person we immediately clicked and straight away we booked her services, even the groom services for Aaran! Vidya not only exceeded in expectations, but her services were beyond words. The makeup and hair looks for each day exceeded my expectations and got better and better after each event. She made me not only look but feel like a princess! Her aftercare package was incredible, after long nights of staying up with minimal sleep it was the perfect thing to end the night before having to wake up super early the next day! I cannot recommend Vidya and her team enough! 1000000% book! -

Vidya is the BEST
Vidya is the BEST!! I used her for my entire wedding week, she is my fairy godmother!! Out of all the vendors I used for my wedding Vidya was one of the only ones that consistently checked in on me (months before the wedding), she was my confidant, therapist, #1 fan and honestly kind of like a big sister. I was so sad when the week was over and we had to say bye to each other - she is literally the most amazing person ever, her work and team are incredible. They made everyone in my family feel beautiful and loved! I used her for full hair and makeup for all 4 events and she did all of my jewelry & outfit placement -

Your glam team is probably who you spend the longest amount of time with as a bride, so having a kickass squad is critical. I was very fortunate to have the RLA (Red Lotus Artistry) team on my side throughout my big weekend. Emily, Tassi, and Chandra did a phenomenal job getting me, my mom, and my mother-in-law ready on time and looking amazing every time. The way they did my hair and makeup made me feel like a million bucks and I couldn't be happier with how each and every look turned out. Vidya and Emily guided me throughout the process and they understood my vision and elevated it to the bridal level. They are such fun and talented ladies and I would highly recommend Vidya and her team for any and all of your glam squad needs! -

Vidya was amazing! As someone who has never really worn makeup I had no idea what I wanted and she sat down with me walked me through ideas and did a whole trial that I then got to take some pictures with as well with our photographer! she was super nice to me and my whole family and worked with what we needed. She was super kind the day of and really focused on making it a great day for me! the makeup and hair turned out beautiful I didn't even know my hair could ever look like that! My makeup was stunning and was just perfect for me and my personality. It was absolutely perfect and worked well with our fusion wedding and changing outfits! I highly recommend her and her team they are all amazing!! -

Bridal weekend MUA/ draping/hair extensions / eyelashes
I shopped around for bridal MUA for about 2 months before my wedding . I did trial periods with a few MUA before I booked. Having a darker skin complexion I was worried that my makeup would not look natural and would be cakey. If you know what I mean … during the trials I had a lot of ups and down with different artist but Vidya was able to push my stress away & work with my skin tone and was able to bring my own natural skin to life. Vidya was able to do my draping, get me ready & do my makeup while I was sleeping in the chair… I will never forget that moment. Being tired and having sleepless nights and waking up early just to get ready. one of the things I regret is not taking enough pictures to show her work. But compliments from family and friends was all the justification I needed to know that her hands have the magic touch. Vidya also to this day keeps in touch which make me feel and love her admiration for her work. As she doesn’t only treat her clients as clients she treats us like family. & I can’t express how much that makes me feel so important and makes me remanence on my beautiful thanksgiving wedding weekend.
Also. A very important tip for any new brides — I think it’s very important to have a good photographer to capture these moment & the works of your MUA . My photographer was very unprofessional & did not capture any good moments. -

Indian Wedding Perfection
Vidya and her team were amazing from start to finish! I hired Red Lotus Artistry for for my bridal and bridal party makeup and hair for three events. Vidya and her team made me feel beautiful! They listened to my ideas and enhanced them with their expertise. I was especially impressed with how they treated my mom. They enhanced her natural beauty without going over board. I had the incredible fortune of having Vidya as my HMUA for my wedding, and I cannot express just how amazing she was. From the moment I met her we had an amazing connection and she effortlessly translated my vague ideas into stunning looks for both my Hindu and Western ceremonies. Vidya's talent and attention to detail exceeded all my expectations, making me feel absolutely amazing all weekend long. TLDR: You spend nearly, as much time with your glam team as you do at your events. It is important that you have a team that makes you feel beautiful on the inside and out. RLA delivered in every way possible. They honestly felt more like family than a vendor.
We used RLA and team for my bridal hair and makeup as well as my close friends and family. We can be a difficult lot to work with. We want glam, but not too much glam, we still want to look like ourselves but elevated. RLA truly delivered, we got soooo many compliments on how good everyone looked and how we all still looked like ourselves.
Now for the Bridal side of things, I cannot say enough to truly convey how happy I am. On your wedding day, you are nervous, exhausted, anxious, etc. Vidya and the team made me feel at ease. I even told them that I would rather just hang out with them than go to my events and I meant it!
We initially had a trial for my wedding day look and Vidya listened to everything I said. She picked up on my style and really delivered. Shortly thereafter we had a consultation where we went through each one of my looks. What I was looking for both hair, make-up, and draping. She created a vision board for me and even made suggestions on simple additions or changes that really elevated my looks. On the day(s) of, she blew it out of the park.
Honestly, I hesitate to speak up and say what I do and do not like when it comes to services like this. When I asked for small changes, I felt so comfortable asking, and Vidya was never offended instead she was happy that I said something.
I said it in the beginning and I have to say it again, you want a team that makes you feel beautiful on the inside and out. RLA really delivered. -

Vidya and team at RLA are truly the queens of HMU! From beginning to end, Vidya was attentive and used her creativity to help me feel comfortable in my own skin. She and her team were so professional and made my entire bridal party, my family and I look amazing! I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and she was so great in coming up with looks for all 5 of my events. I would highly recommend her and RLA to anyone looking for a HMUA! My family loves her so much that she’s even doing my sisters wedding this year! ♥️

Vidya and her team will bring nothing but their A-game to your big day! I was looking for someone who could do hair makeup and sari drape and she was the perfect fit. Let me tell you that I am a project manager for a living and I was impressed at the professionalism by Vidya, she plans flawlessly and manages schedules very well.. She is also flexible when it comes to budget and last minute circumstances. She is a great advisor when it comes to the whole bridal look and managing the day itself.. These ladies come prepared for anything, one of my bridesmaid had a torn seam and Vidya literally pulled out her sewing kit and patched it together, blue eyeshadow for my mom and hair donuts for me and she even fixed my husband's hair. I promise you will not get a better bang for your buck, Red Lotus will make you and your bridal party look like a million bucks!!! -

Vidya and her team were so professional and wonderful at communicating! I’m so glad I went with them, they did me, my bridesmaids and my moms as well and made sure everyone was happy. The makeup trial was so helpful in preparing for the big day, they gave me plenty of tips! And on the day itself they helped me change into my saree after my wedding gown and it went without any problems, all I got were compliments! Would recommend them to anyone!! -

Red Lotus Artistry recently did my hair, makeup, and outfit draping for my wedding. Vidya and Emily were both awesome! They’re both very skilled in what they do, and I was so happy with how everything turned out- it was even better than what I originally envisioned. Aside from their expertise, I really appreciate how professional they both were. They’re a great pair and make everything fun- I’m not used to wearing much makeup, and they very gently pushed me beyond my comfort zone into looks I ended up loving! They were so sweet and even brought me coffee in the morning of my big day. They wanted to do everything to make sure I was taken care of- because of COVID, my best friend couldn’t attend, but they moved my phone around as I moved around so she could still be part of the action via FaceTime. I had a great experience with Red Lotus Artistry, and I highly recommend them for any hair and makeup needs. -

I don’t think I could’ve gotten the Bridal looks I had envisioned if I hadn’t gone with Red Lotus Artistry.
From day 1, when we started with the makeup trial, Vidya listened very closely to what kind of styles/looks I was a fan of, and what I simply couldn’t stand. For example, I’m not a lipstick person at all. I remember explaining that to Vidya and instead of responding with something along the lines of how brides need to wear lipstick on their big day, she said that’s totally fine, we’ll keep it simple and mix the shades until we get what you want.
Between the makeup trial and the wedding weekend, there was a 6+ month window. In that duration, Vidya was available to answer my questions via text/phone call at essentially all times, and I had a LOT of questions about hair care, facials, hair extensions, etc. Her kindness was simply overwhelming.
We had our final consultation the week before my wedding and I’m so thankful for that meeting. Your bridal makeup artist needs to know exactly what hiccups to expect when getting ready for your wedding events, and that’s exactly what Vidya addressed during her consultation with my mom and I. My upper body is on the more petite side, and before even picking up my bridal dupattas, Vidya knew she was going to have to come up with a creative way to drape it around me (unlike the conventional style to avoid me falling over from the heavy-ness), and that’s exactly what she did. She pleated both my bridal dupattas to make it super thin and had the pleats fanning beautifully in front of my lehenga. It was done in a way where there wouldn’t be immense pressure on just one part of my body (I.e. head, shoulder, etc). The final look was gorgeous and I’ve included some pics in this review :)
My deepest thanks to the entire team of Red Lotus Artistry, who arrived at our hotel the morning of the wedding at 4:30 in the AM to start getting my bridal party ready. I loved each and every one of their hair styles and makeup looks. Half of my bridesmaids loved their looks so much, they kept their hair and makeup intact for the reception later that night, all they had to do was a little bit of touch-up, and they were good to go. The team was able to get all the bridesmaids ready in time for the Photoshoot, and I’m sure that wasn’t easy given that I had 9 bridesmaids!
I thank Vidya and her team again for all their hard efforts. I HIGHLY recommend any brides getting married to hire Red Lotus Artistry right away! -

Seriously, Vidya is so amazing. I booked her for my engagement party at the very last minute when my other mua fell through. She was so responsive and accommodating and helped relieve my stress. I cannot recommend red lotus artistry enough. I had originally reached out to another MUA when I met Vidya, however, after meeting her and getting to know vidyas sweet and bubbly personality I knew I had to book her for my wedding. All my bridesmaids loved her and Emily and they all felt so beautiful! Vidya immediately treats you like family and truly only wants what’s best for you. RLA was fantastic! Let me start by saying they are 1) my saviors and 2) Aunty approved. I had initially booked a different MUAH vendor for my wedding, but about a month before I had to find someone new. I was so frustrated and a little terrified that I wouldn't be able to find a new MUAH. Thankfully, I reached out to RLA and immediately bonded with Vidya via email. Her bubbly and kind personality was evident just through our email conversation. I warned her that my mother is a tough critic and has certain views about make up, and she said they'd be up to the challenge. I brought my mom to my MUAH trail, not only did my mom love it... So did I. I had never felt more beautiful, and it made me excited for my wedding. On the day of the wedding, RLA took care of the MUAH for my mom, my bridesmaids, and myself. I really love how everything turned out. -
