The only real “natural” wedding makeup artist
I use mostly organic makeup products (I’m especially particular about what goes directly onto my skin). When it came to finding a makeup artist for my wedding, I searched and searched and couldn’t find anyone who uses — even as part of their arsenal — non-toxic products. I even had a trial with someone whose aesthetic is “clean” and “natural” but her products were not — my eyes teared the whole time and I couldn’t wait to get home to wash off the heavy-feeling, smelly foundation. I was so close to doing my own makeup for the big day until the brilliant Jenette Serrins (of Being in LA and Jennette All Natural Skincare) asked her celeb makeup artist client and friend for a rec. That’s where the amazing Katey Denno comes in — she recommended her new-to-LA friend Rebecca. We met for a trial where Rebecca quickly won me over with her intelligence, bright smile, zen energy and amazing makeup artistry! (Her makeup kit is 100 percent organic/non-toxic; she introduced me to so many new and fun lipsticks, eye shadows, foundations, etc!) Over the course of many emails and two in-person trials, Rebecca and I chatted through/ tried a few ideas including a super glam look and a natural look (she is versatile!). She dealt with my indecision/pre-wedding nerves/fatigue with patience and kindness — two traits that are absolutely essential on the day-of. Rebecca’s grounding energy and sweetness made the chaotic “getting ready” portion of the day that much more seamless. My bridesmaids loved her and looked absolutely gorgeous. She even gave me a wedding gift of amazing products. Loved rebecca!
Rebecca was fantastic! She is responsive, timely, and really puts you at ease. I loved her focus on natural beauty and she really did a great job on my makeup. During my makeup trial and on my wedding day, Rebecca showed me both her skill at what she does and was open to listening to what I wanted for my look. I felt like she was one of the few makeup artists I met who really wanted to work with me and make sure I felt good going into my wedding. She was truly a comfort during the wedding prep and I felt incredibly confident going into my wedding.
She even provided a recommendation for my hair vendor, Julia Rose, who turned out great as well. One of the best choices I made for my wedding vendors!Rebecca was fantastic! Absolutely Amazing
I found Rebecca via one of my favorite eco bloggers (EcoCult) and decided to reach out when I couldn't find any other clean makeup artists near us (Upstate NY). Our first phone conversation was so natural - we were able to solidify the details without being overly formal or stiff.
My first trial was before my engagement shoot, and I LOVED the results. We had our photos taken in December and the look fit perfectly. A few months later I realized I wanted something a bit more toned down for an October wedding, and Rebecca worked with me to schedule another trial (at a discounted rate) and we got to catch up again before the big day!
Rebecca helped make our lives easier for the wedding weekend by volunteering to ride the bus all the way from New York City to Oneonta, and then was beyond flexible allowing my father to pick her up the morning of and our hairstylist to drive her back to catch the bus home.
Rebecca instantly feels like a part of your family, and she makes every woman feel like the radiant goddess that she is. She does a phenomenal job of balancing how much makeup you need to show up in photos while still making everyone look like an elevated version of themselves. Rebecca was such a pleasure to work with! My sister in law recommended her because of her use of all natural products, I have sensitive skin so Rebecca was a great fit! She was able to create a very natural look that was perfect for my wedding day. The makeup lasted all night and felt very light on my face. Rebecca was always very sweet and calm and during our makeup trial she tried a couple different options on my eyes until they were perfect! Rebecca is a wonderful person to have on a wedding team: professional, personable, and very talented. She did great work at my makeup trial, listening to everything I said about the look I wanted to achieve, and making it a reality. Leading up to the big day, she spent time on the phone with me, making sure I was comfortable with our game plan and schedule. On the day, she and her assistant Jeniffer were a pleasure to have around. They made everyone look beautiful, customizing each makeup job to the outfits and preferences of each lady. There were nine of us: me, my six bridesmaids, my mom, and the groom's mom. Everyone was so happy with her makeup. I have sensitive skin and am careful to use only nontoxic products on my face, as are many of the other ladies in my wedding party. So I'm grateful to have found someone who can achieve a variety of natural and glamorous looks using completely safe products. The feel was so light, I didn't even feel like I was wearing makeup, but the look lasted all day and all evening. I had been searching for a makeup artist who worked with natural products to create a look and do my makeup for my wedding, and I was thrilled to find Rebecca. She was extremely thoughtful and considered all of my allergies AND was an excellent listener who created a beautiful look for me and my bridesmaids! We had a great consultation where we explored a number of different looks, and then she was great when I had cold feet about my lip-color last minute. I loved working with Rebecca! She did my makeup (and my matron of honor's makeup) for my wedding day a week ago. We had great communication prior to the day to prepare, and the day of she couldn't have been more perfect. She was very professional, and had a calm & friendly demeanor which helped soothe my nerves. The makeup she uses is all natural/vegan which I love because I am very choosy about what products I use on my skin. I received compliments on my makeup all day. Rebecca was highly recommended by multiple vendors, including our flower vendor, Kat Flower. Rebecca was great to work with and helped me see my vision of a "smokey bronze" eye look come to life! My skin never looked better and she nailed the eye look. She even added a hair professional to her package so that I didn't have to look for that separately, which was appreciated. We met once prior to the wedding for a trial for both makeup and hair. On the day, she arrived right on time, ready to go and executed flawlessly. My mom, mother in law and new sister all loved their look as well! Thank you, Rebecca!! My new husband loved my look too and we would highly recommend you using her for your event!

I can't imagine booking another makeup artist for my wedding. Not only did Rebecca make me feel beautiful and glamorous, she did so using only nontoxic brands. We met twice before the wedding to get the lip color absolutely perfect and tweak my eyeshadow and blush, so by the time the big day rolled around, I was able to relax and let her work her magic. The makeup didn't look or feel heavy at all, and I wore it all night without it itching, which I hear is rare for wedding makeup! Bonus: the assistant she brought to do bridesmaid and Mom makeup was equally sweet and fun and talented, and ended up hanging out with my mother-in-law for two hours speaking Spanish with her, which was so appreciated.I can't imagine booking another makeup artist for my wedding. The location was in beautiful, tropical Barbados. Rebecca used all green beauty makeup and chose the right colors that added luster and give me the dewy fresh look. I loved my makeup and it lasted the whole evening. She created everything I wanted and more. Truly bringing out the Goddess look that I was going for. My makeup withstood the Caribbean heat, tears of joy and added the perfect finesse to my Pnina Tornai Gown.
