We cannot say enough good things about this vendor. We had David and Ken as our DJs, and they honestly made the entire evening. They played everything we requested and made it flow perfectly- from 1970s ABBA all the way to 2000s club music, there was never a bad transition or bad song played. they were mindful about our requests for "no play" music and managed guest requests appropriately. They had everyone on the dance floor throughout the night. We are still getting compliments on our DJs a week later- that's how fantastic they were! 12/10 recommend this service!!

We absolutely loved working with DJ Collie! From our first meeting, he was an incredible listener and really took the time to understand our vision and the vibe we wanted for our big day. He asked all the right questions—including ones we never would have thought of—and used that info to perfectly capture our essence on the wedding day. Perfect DJ for our perfect night
Rocko was super easy to work with and was able to answer all our questions. We had DJ Collie for our wedding. He was very accommodating and took all our requests into consideration. Rocko was amazing to work with from start to finish. During the booking process, he was super helpful and patient in answering any questions I had. Our day would not have been the same without our DJ, DJ Collie. A few weeks before the wedding, we had a phone meeting for almost three hours, covering every single detail of the day. I met Collie in person for the first time the morning of our wedding, and he was so kind and bright. One of the first things he asked me (the bride) was if I had eaten that day, which showed such genuine care. We are still getting compliments on our DJ and reception, everyone saying how great the music selection was and how high energy the entire evening was. Love DJ Collie!
DJ Collie was an incredible dj, from running the wedding ceremony sound to the dance floor in the evening. He read the room perfectly, took every cue on the dances, and worked with us to plan the perfect dance soundtrack throughout the night. He was so much fun to work with, and we couldn't recommend him highly enough. We also loved the photobooth, especially with the customized photobooth picture cards! Rocko is simply the best! He did a masterful job with the sound, choosing the exact right songs and just making the night a once in a lifetime experience. It was a perfect mix of songs we chose along with just the right songs for each moment during the ceremony and reception.

We hired Rocko for ceremony music & DJing for our wedding. He was talented and professional and helped everything run smoothly.
Leading into the event he had a very easy, organized set of questions. He worked with our venue to set everything up and we didn't have to be very involved.
His acoustic guitar ceremony music fit in perfectly and he managed all the various speeches, first dance music, and dancefloor perfectly.
The best part was that we were very hands-off. We gave very general recommendations for the dancefloor music and didn't have to think about the music at all during the wedding. Everything went perfectly and strongly recommend Rocko's services!

Dream reception!
We could not have asked for a more organized, friendly, or FUN DJ in DJ Rocko!! As a dance teacher and lifelong dancer myself, the dancing part of the wedding was always very important to me. Our experience working with Rocko was wonderful! We booked him for our wedding day because he was highly recommended by our venue, and we are SO glad that we did! Incredible DJ!
We usually don't leave many online reviews, but we had to make an exception for RD Entertainment at our wedding! Rocko was a key player in making our day unforgettable. His organization skills really stood out, ensuring everything ran smoothly. We bombarded him with emails, and he always responded promptly with detailed answers, which put our minds at ease. Rocko's emceeing was on point, keeping us right on schedule. And let me tell you, the reception was a hit! We gave Rocko a few song suggestions, and he nailed the rest, keeping the dance floor packed for a solid 4 hours post-dinner.
On top of that, the music choices seriously brought the party to life, creating such a fun atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. The only tiny snag was that we hoped for a bit more variety in the music selection, but overall, it didn't hinder the celebration. Despite that, Rocko's energy and ability to keep the party going were stellar, and we're grateful we had him there to add to the magic of our special day. To anyone looking for a top-notch DJ who goes above and beyond, we wholeheartedly recommend RD Entertainment!

Rocko was AMAZING. 10/10 would rcommend him for any event you have. He did my German/American wedding where the age range was from 17 - 83 (with 32 as the average). Our entire party was dancing at every opportunity and the build up to the end was truly awesome. We were ALL scream singing the final songs and wishing it didn't have to end. He was very relaxed, even as I threw last minute changes at him and it put me right at ease. He was also very confident and calm when directing us all in the way I had wanted, even though we didn't have a rehearsal and when I decided to play last minute games. He even had songs in German. DEFINITELY the perfect DJ to trust for your big day as well as any other. Thanks Rocko!!!

Amazing DJ!
Rocko was amazing throughout the whole process of planning and having our wedding! Rocko worked seamlessly with the other vendors and guided the day starting with music and audio for the ceremony, live music (performed by Rocko) for the cocktail hour, and music and MCing the reception. Rocko even worked with us to set up audio for my husband’s band to play! The uplighting was well worth it. Rocko transitioned from beautiful warm candlelit lighting during the dinner hour, to fun party lights during dancing. We couldn’t be happier or more grateful to Rocko; he truly made it a perfect day!

RD Entertainment is a preferred vendor for a reason
We got married last Saturday and people could not stop talking about what a great time they had. This was in large part due to Eric's DJing. He hit all the right notes and interspersed our preferred musics with similar classics. Essentially, he was a human Spotify Discovery Playlist. Everyone was on the dancefloor late into the night. I have had a few friends with bad DJ experiences (wrong cue, audio issues), but I didn't have to worry a bit about that. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking in the greater Syracuse area.

Rocko from RD Entertainment was awesome; he was super communicative from the start, answering any questions we had and offering us different options for services (we ended up using uplighting that changed colors and matched in time with the music -super fun and highly recommend).
One big thing we noticed right away was the inclusive language that he used in our planning form... With our slightly confusing family dynamics and mixed-gendered wedding parties it was really nice to not need to correct anything regarding terms like 'bridesmaids' or 'best man.'
The wedding day itself ran incredibly smoothly and Rocko hit perfectly on everything we had discussed in our planning call, including all the must-plays and vibes we were going for throughout the day. We received a ton of compliments from friends and family members night of and following the wedding saying they loved the DJ and all the song choices and we definitely couldn't have had the party we did without him!

We hired Rocko for our wedding at Emerson Park Pavilion, and he was awesome! He was familiar with the venue, so he provided the perfect uplighting and even back lit our twinkle lights on our pipe and drape to make them perfect! He talked on the phone with me for a while and really listened to what I wanted but also gave me his professional opinion. Rocko was THE BEST! Our photographer recommended him to us and the second we spoke with him on the phone we knew we wanted him at our wedding. He is the most down to earth person ever - so easy-going, personable, knowledgeable, professional, etc. Throughout the whole planning process we asked him a million questions based off of his experience and every time he responded with a thoughtful and helpful answer. At the reception he did such a great job at picking up on what the crowd wanted - he even got 94 year old grandma up on the dancefloor! I can't say enough good things about him. We had to cancel our wedding celebration due to COVID19, but still feel the need to let everyone know what an excellent person Rocko has been to work with. He and his team are incredibly knowledgeable about the wedding industry and are professional in everything that they do. We had put a lot of work into planning our reception event, but it wasn't until bringing Rocko on board that we felt confident that things were all in place and ready to go - his experience and advice are definitely worth it! If I could give 10 stars I would!
From our first meeting with Rocko he was professional, knowledgeable, and put us at ease. We described the overall vibe we were going for, the type of music we like and the type our guests like, and let him know we just wanted people to keep dancing. And dance we did! We are still talking about how perfect our night went -- Rocko was the perfect emcee, moving the night along well with sincere energy and excitement. There were no awkward pauses in the flow of the event and there was not one song that our guests left the dance floor. The variety of music was perfect for the age range of our guests that we had in attendance and shifted as the vibe of the night shifted from dinner to party as well. Rocko went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect.

My wedding was on the smaller side (60 guests) and one of the things I was nervous about was that there would not be much dancing. Rocko assured me that the size wouldn't matter, that this for sure! My guests did not stop dancing all night, even my husbands grandfather started dancing, which never happens :) We also had some indie requests for the songs we picks and that was not an issue at all. I also told Rocko they types of music we like and the overall vibe we wanted, and he took it from there, and it could not have been a more perfect night. Rocko was very flexible and easy going while being extremely professional and organized. I had him make a few last minute announcements as well, like a speech I wasn't sure would be made or not and when the bar was closing. He was more than happy to accommodate. Also the price was extremely reasonable as well for the service provided. You will not go wrong hiring Rocko.

The key to the best night ever!
We were excited to work with Rocko after our very first phone call! He was very helpful with any questions we had and wanted to make sure that we had the best day possible (and the best experience possible during all the planning!) The music at our wedding was the most important thing to us and Rocko definitely delivered!!! The uplighting was the icing on the cake of the beautiful ballroom- and the photobooth was a huge hit. His attention to detail did not go unnoticed and we couldn’t be happier with his services!

RD Entertainment did an amazing job at our wedding! Chris was really easy to work with and encouraged people to make song requests. He did a great job of blending songs we requested with current songs and oldies so we had everyone dancing all night long! We even had dancing after we did our sparkler sendoff to kick off the fire pit after party! OH MY GRAVY, choose no one else BUT Rocko with RD Entertainment. Rocko is professional, kind, caring, dedicated, flexible, and HE MADE our ENTIRE RECEPTION a smashing success!! Choose no one but him!!!! We were originally going to just have a computer hooked up to a speaker, thank goodness we finally came to our senses. Additionally, my sister is a high end florist, who has been to over 1,500 wedding. Both my sister and her best friend (who was our wedding photographer, who has also been to thousands of wedding over the years), both said how amazing and awesome our DJ was! That is saying a lot. When two wedding professionals who have traveled the country doing weddings for the past 15 years remark on how amazing and fantastic OUR DJ was-- that is saying a lot. Finally, what matter most to my wife and I was the amount of care and kindness Rocko gave us on our wedding day. He was kind, responsive, caring, understanding, and really took care of us the entire night. His compassion and kindness is what make him so special in my book. We were lucky enough to work with Rocko throughout all of our planning, and have him at our event!!! Rocko is experienced, patient, detail oriented, and organized. Not only did he play EVERY song on our request list, but he literally had every single wedding guest on the dance floor from the moment the dance floor opened to the moment they turned the lights on at the venue. We had DJ David for our wedding and have nothing but praise for both David and Rocko! David ran a perfect event for us! Beforehand, both Rocko and David were quick to respond to any questions we had and made it so easy for us setting up a wedding from 4500 miles away. On the wedding day, David was seamlessly transitioning between all the different reception events and all the while checking with us without it feeling like he was in the way. The music was perfect for the cocktail hour and he also knew exactly how to play to the crowd when everyone was dancing. David had no problems switching things up when the inevitable change of plans was bound to happen. To top it all off, David did all of this limping around on an injured knee....talk about dedication! Their price point was competitive with the other vendors in the area and we felt like they were an astonishing value! We have nothing but the highest praise for RD Entertainment and their DJs!!! Rocko was just the perfect addition to our day. I am admittedly very wary of DJ’s, I’ve been to too many weddings where the DJ grabs the mic and uses the ceremony as his stage to perform. Rocko was the COMPLETE opposite. He had such an easy going personality and really made us feel that he was there to make this day special for us. He listened to all of our requests for timeline and music for both the cocktail hour and reception, even if it seemed a little random or out of place. For example, one of my favorite moments was during cocktail hour - we requested him to play a collection of today’s country hits, but I asked for a johnny cash song or two peppered in there. At one point, my dad came over to me, so happy, and asked, “Did I just hear some Cash??” So thank you Rocko, pretty sure that made my dad’s night :)
One of the best part’s of the night was that Rocko paid such great attention to the crowd. Our reception was in a barn and it got a little warm throughout the night. Obviously the dance floor emptied out after a few upbeat songs just because people got a bit warm and tired, but every time that happened, Rocko threw something slower that was just the perfect choice, bringing people back on to the floor for a slow dance or two, and then he picked the energy right back up. It was amazing.
Thanks to Rocko, the dancing went until the BITTER END. Another favorite moment of mine was dancing to Shout with my little brother as one of the last songs of the night, the few remaining dancers going nuts on the floor. If our venue wasn’t shutting down at midnight, I’m pretty sure we could have kept on going thanks to Rocko’s setlist.
Honestly, I wish Rocko stepped off the stage for a bit to hang out with us during the ceremony, such a nice guy and a pleasure to have as part of our day.

Rocko came highly recommended to us by both our wedding venue and also family friends! We knew as soon as we chatted with him initially by phone that he would be a wonderful addition to our wedding day - Rocko is kind, thoughtful, relaxed and extremely professional. He never tried to push anything extra on us and listened closely to all of our requests. On the wedding day itself, he was truly phenomenal. He edited songs for us (e.g., I chose three songs for the processional and also three songs for the hora) to perfectly blend one into the next. He was fantastic at reading the crowd and playing songs he knew everyone would love. Our guests were out on the dance floor all night. The uplighting he set up for us was also beautiful. The innkeepers at our venue told us after the event that they were extremely impressed by Rocko and I completely agree. Thanks to so much, Rocko! I loved working with you!

Rocko was SO wonderful to work with. He helped us figure out the best flow/timeline for our wedding day, and we were very happy with how it turned out. Our guests were out on the dance floor the entire night which was very important to us!! We chose different songs for the wedding party entrances with a large party, had many specialty dances/traditions, and he played all of our “must play” songs. He also provided the uplighting and it looked awesome at our venue. Everything was outstanding, he simply is the best!!

He was extremely responsive the entire year prior to our wedding, and made me feel like I didn't have to ask for any particular songs or talk to him at all on the night of the event (not that I didn't want to talk to him but he made it all so easy!). I cannot say enough about how amazing Rocko is! Because of a distance issue, instead of playing traditional music at our ceremony, he offered to play his guitar which for me seeled the deal. He didn't have to go that extra step and make accommodations for me, but he did! And the ceremony was absolutely perfect with light acoustic music in the background. I wasn't sure he could top that but the reception was perfect as well. His announcing was perfect, anything we asked him to do he was so willing to do it, even last minute changes the day of. You cannot go wrong hiring Rocko of RD Entertainment. He is the best in the business!!!

Rocko was everything we could've possibly wanted in a DJ! He was so easy to work with, extremely responsive, and knows his stuff when it comes to wedding music! My favorite part of working with him was when he told me I could be as involved or as uninvolved as I wanted to be. This allowed me to take charge of what I wanted, like picking specific ceremony songs and entrance songs, but then not have to worry AT ALL about what music would be played. The dance floor was packed all night and he was able to read what songs worked and keep them playing all night! He was also super accommodating to making sure that I (as the bride) was happy all night! If you want one less thing to worry about when planning a wedding, book Rocko and know that you have made the best decision possible!

Rocko made our wedding an absolute dream come true! He has the experience and expertise you can trust to ensure that every detail is covered. We did not have to worry about a thing, he was right there when it was time to cut the cake, make introductions, etc. He made everything so easy for us, but most importantly he made it a fun and unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance. I kept hearing people say they had never seen so many people dancing at a wedding. There was never a dull moment because he always seemed to play just the right song. Rocko is kind, courteous and professional and we knew we could trust him on our special day.

RD Entertainment was the perfect DJ for our wedding. Rocko was quick to respond during the planning process and was extremely flexible throughout the day of the wedding, he even agreed to stay and play extra time last minute! Rocko knew exactly what music to play in order to accommodate the crowd, everyone from age 10 to 87 was up and dancing the entire night!

My husband and I loved having Rocko as our wedding DJ. We had a really difficult time finding DJs that weren't too blah or too over the top. Thank god our photographer suggested Rocko, who strikes the best balance between both! The first time we Skyped with him, we closed the laptop and instantly knew he was the guy for us. He's just laid back and has a calming nature, but is great at what he does and has confidence. We live far away and he was accessible when needed over email, and when we came into town on short notice, he was able to accommodate his *summer weekend* schedule to meet with us. After that meeting, we walked away saying this is the best vendor we have! And that was the first time we had met him! He really showed it on our wedding day, when right before the ceremony started, the shuttle bus carrying all the guests broke down and he was the first to hop in his car to go personally drive guests up the hill to our venue! Rocko is worth the money, don't meet with anyone else!

Rocko was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone. He was highly responsive to all of our requests and questions. He asked for a sampling of songs prior, and based on his expertise, created a song list that kept everyone on the floor until closing. As MC, he was very intentive to our schedule, and to keeping the flow just right. He was very professional in all of our dealings. Rocko was worth every penny if you want that professional service.

Rocko did an incredible job at our wedding! We provided him with a list of songs we wanted played, and some that we didn't, and he took over! Everyone raved about how great our DJ was. Importantly, he knew when to change a song when it was clearing the dance floor so that the party would keep going! Rocko kept the evening moving smoothly, with just enough announcements but not interrupting the party. HIGHLY recommend Rocko for your event! It was honestly one of the few things I booked and then barely worried about, and it worked out perfectly!

Rocko does a great job. Through the run-up to the event, he was very responsive and walked us through all that we needed to do in order to prepare for the big day. At the event itself, he was dressed impeccably, and although we were occupied with a hundred different things, Rocko got setup and going without any guidance from us. Song selection was spot on and really an all around great experience.

Rocko was a fantastic DJ, and we were so grateful for quality service. The DJ makes or breaks a reception, and we were in great hands. The phone calls and really organized paperwork prior to the event made us feel super comfortable. We had several friends and family that complimented the music, and the flow of the evening. Also, Rocko perfectly timed two integrated songs for our first dance - it was a really incredible moment that we now have on video. Thank you so much!

Rocko was our DJ for our wedding on September 2! He did a great job communicating with us ahead of time on the day's plans, vibe, and timing. Our wedding was at Emerson Park, a venue in which he does a lot of events. It was an added perk that he already had worked with our wedding planner and knew the ins and outs of our venue. Rocko also is VERY personable! He made our wedding a lot of fun and our guests had a blast. The uplighting he provided was perfect for the setting we had, and he was extremely professional. Rocko did the music for our ceremony in addition to our reception and he was amazing. We also added uplighting, which worked perfect at our venue. Professional, personable, and the ability to make last minute decisions on music choices when we were feeling a bit stuck! We left a lot in his hands with minimal guidance for him as to what to play, so I was very pleased and less stressed knowing that he would take care of the rest! Our guests had the best time and some were happy to have their requests played. I would absolutely recommend!

Our wedding took place at the Ithaca Farmer's Market in the summer of 2016. Rocko was **awesome** - we absolutely loved working with him. We repeatedly got compliments throughout the night about how much people were enjoying the music. He did a great job of coordinating with the other vendors and also helped us manage panicky family members who we needed to just give us some space! He came highly recommended and we would very strongly recommend him to others. Great guy!

Rocko went above and beyond as our DJ! He has a wide selection of music and will work with you to customize your event. He is very good at getting everyone dancing and having fun! I was worried that no one would want to dance but our dance floor was packed all night! Rocko is very accommodating especially when meeting with you prior to your event and met with us on more than one occasion in person, via email, phone/text and even offered to video chat because I now live out of town. His pricing is very reasonable and he will work with you to set up whichever payment plan works best for you. Also, he not only offers 1 or 2 sound systems (a smaller sound system for the ceremony if requested) but he has wireless uplighting that truly added the perfect touch to our venue.
We highly recommend RD Entertainment, not only were we satisfied but so were our guests!

I had a great experience with RD Entertainment. They really understand the flow of wedding receptions, which was helpful because they suggested very thoughtful transitions and helped create special moments that would not otherwise have happened. Guests of all ages were on the dance floor throughout night, and I never once thought to myself, "Gee I wish they weren't playing that song." They were very perceptive, flexible, and attentive to us. I would hire RD Entertainment again in a heartbeat.

When we first started planning our wedding, music was one of my very top priorities. We’ve been to many weddings where the music was lackluster or seemed like more of an afterthought, and I wanted my love of music to be well represented at our wedding. We had originally decided to create our own playlists but were referred to Rocko by a groomsman. After just a few interactions with Rocko, it was clear that he “got it” and truly knew what he was doing. He made me feel exceptionally comfortable relinquishing that aspect of the wedding over to him, and I am so glad we did. Rocko was fun but professional, kept things moving throughout the reception, and most importantly kept people out on the dance floor for hours. He was willing and able to follow through on all of our requests, and had the expertise to be able to create an exceptional event and quickly adjust on the fly. After meeting with numerous DJs in the area, we knew we had found a great fit after speaking with Rocko. Throughout the planning for our wedding and reception, he was organized, responsive, flexible, and his prices were competitive. On the big day, Rocko's natural talent was apparent. He executed every detail perfectly, played great music to fit the different moods of each part of the evening, and kept the party going without a hitch. We highly recommend him!

My children say "Rocko is the bomb! The best ever". As the parent I have found working with Rocko on more than one occasion a delight. He takes all the stress off of me. I tell him what I am planning, guide him with some thoughts and ideas and he pulls it all together. We have had extremely successful and fun events each time we've used him. He is versatile, he can throw a birthday bash for 3 boys with Down syndrome or MC a Batmitzvah with equal success, appropriate play lists and atmosphere. We would never use anyone else. A family celebration would not be the same without Rocko there. He is professional, on-time and makes great music choices for us. He provides a fantastic service at a great price. Good value for money.

We loved working with Rocko from start to finish! We were planning from a far distance (Texas) for a NY wedding, but that never affected our communication with Rocko. He was always reachable by email and phone, and always responded quickly.
Leading up to the wedding, we had the pleasure of meeting once in person, and he took the time to get to know us, our families, and our needs in order to cater his personal interactions and professional duties (introductions, etc.) to what we wanted.
For our wedding, we had both live musicians as well as a DJ, and Rocko not only was open to the idea, but helped with transitions between live music and his work smooth and unnoticeable. Even when our dinner was delayed and our live musicians' time had ended, Rocko stepped in to smooth things over.
Several times throughout the evening we needed to coordinate events with Rocko, and he was always a step ahead and prepared for what we needed, even before we requested it. Rocko kept the dance floor active all night, accommodating guest's requests, while keeping our preferences in mind.
Rocko was a joy to work with, not only because he was kind, understanding, and easy to work with, but also due to his professionalism and skill. Our guests left commenting on what an amazing evening it was, largely due to Rocko's skill in cultivating the atmosphere we wanted. We can't thank him enough and would highly recommend him for any wedding or other event!

Planning a wedding from across the country is hard so when I was given Rocko's name, I was relieved to find a professional. From the first time I spoke to him, he put my fears at ease. I am a stickler for being prompt and found Rocko to be very prompt with retiring emails, phone meetings and even the final face to face meeting we had. He was able to get a sense of my husband and my personalities and use that thoughout the wedding. While visiting the venue the coordinator mentioned how great Rocko's up lighting is, boy was he right. The room felt so warm. I was very happy with the entire service that Rocko provided. I would highly recommend his services.

Chris was our DJ and he did a fantastic job. He listened to our ideas and gave us suggestions that were spot on. Our guests raved about his music selections and several asked for his contact information. We plan on using Chris for a retirement party next year.
