We used Rare Sparrow / Shannon as our florist for our wedding on September 6th, and all I can say is WOW!!! From our very first call I felt like Shannon truly took the time to get to know us and understand our vision for our wedding florals, and she totally blew it out of the water. She was creative and flexible with our budget, and I didn't feel like she was trying to upsell us at all. I was absolutely obsessed with our flowers on our wedding day and she could not have executed our vision more perfectly if she tried. Would absolutely recommend her in a heartbeat and am honestly searching for the opportunity to work with her again!! -

Gorgeous Florals!
Shannon provided the florals for wedding, which took place at San Francisco City Hall in a 2-hour private ceremony and at Merkado SF.
Shannon was a dream to work with! I loved her planning process, which included the wedding colors, the feel of the wedding, and links to the wedding inspiration board. Shannon understood my vision and provided beautiful detail photos, aisle meadows, bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, cake flowers, welcome sign blooms, sweetheart table meadows, as well as candles and votives. My guests commented endlessly on how beautiful the florals were. They had so much texture and color!
Shannon knew the ins and outs of having a wedding at City Hall, which is notorious for having many rules/regulations for their vendors. She was also instrumental in helping decide how to repurpose my ceremony florals for the reception. Shannon handled the transport between the locations and took down our florals since we had a destination wedding. I cannot recommend her enough!

Amazing, everything I hoped for!
Working with Shannon at Rare Sparrow was great, her process was simple and easy. I felt like she really understood my color palette and it was great to see the visual mock up she made shortly after our first call. I trusted her recommendations on a lot of the questions I had, and the flowers turned out amazing! Working with Rare Sparrow was one of the easiest parts of my wedding planning experience! -

Our planner got us in touch with Shannon and we were thrilled with what she made us for our wedding day. We had a general idea of what colors we wanted to match with our design but were open to her creativity and we are so happy with what she came up with. My bouquet was stunning and had flowers in it I'd never even seen before, the colors were so vibrant and beautiful and all worked so well together. The ceremony arch was so beautiful and we got so many compliments on it from our guests. The contract and process was really straight forward and Shannon responded quickly. We're so happy we chose Shannon and her team and we're still thrilled about the beautiful florals at our wedding. -

Shannon jumped right in and helped bring my vision to life! I sent her a few photos of what I had in mind and she executed beautifully. We had a simple city hall wedding and she put together the perfect bouquet and matching boutonniere! I loved working with her! -

I highly recommend Shannon of Rare Sparrow! She has amazing skills and vision - and was absolutely incredible at understanding and interpreting what I wanted. She brought all the ideas to life in the most beautiful way! She worked with us seamlessly in planning our large wedding which we ultimately had to cancel due to the pandemic. Despite the unprecedented world situation, she was so thoughtful and supportive throughout it all and we are so grateful for that. She was able to create a whole new vision for our civil ceremony/celebration day that was beyond anything I could have imagined! Her flowers really took our day to the next level! The stunning arrangements and my extraordinary bouquet added incredible color and joy to our special day. With so much gratitude - thank you Shannon! -

Shannon was so great to work with, from our very first call to finalizing the details as it got close to our wedding date, we felt we were in great hands. She truly took our vision and brought it to life and was more than happy to work with us and our budget to ensure we felt comfortable with everything, while not sacrificing the overall vision and final outcome. She went above and beyond to bring her creativity to a light installation as well, which ended up being my most favorite thing about the wedding! It doesn't get any better than working with Shannon and her team at Rare Sparrow. She is responsive, friendly and super-easy to work with. I had a small San Francisco City Hall wedding with a dinner reception afterward. Her team did an amazing job with both events and we couldn't be happier. -

I had a great feeling about Shannon from the first time I spoke with her about what we were looking for in our wedding florals. We spoke for about an hour and I got off the phone feeling that she really understood what I wanted and asked a lot of great questions. I found her through Instagram so I already knew her style fit the look I wanted, but I was extremely impressed by the time she took from our very first conversation to working up the quotes to fit our budget. She was extremely flexible and came up with great ideas to fit our budget and was also really reasonably priced. She was extremely easy to work with and responsive to all our questions. Also, my husband has terrible allergies so she was able to accommodate us with a silk bout for him and greenery for our sweet heart table. This was not something other florists were willing to accommodate so I really appreciated this. I was able to have the most beautiful flowers at my wedding without a sneezing husband. The best of both worlds!
I also agree with another reviewer who says her Instagram does not do her justice as the flowers were even more beautiful then I imagined. Anyone who chooses to use Rare Sparrow for their floral arrangements will not regret it. -

Shannon was fantastic from the very start - she was easy to talk to and had lots of helpful suggestions and ideas while really listening to my input and incorporating what I wanted. I only had a very vague idea of what I wanted my wedding florals to look like (natural wood, succulents and air plants) and Shannon was able to turn my incomplete vision into the most breathtaking table arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres I could possibly imagine. She absolutely understood the look and vibe I was going for even better than I did and made it all happen adding some gorgeous orchid accents, gold-rimmed terraria and other textures to round out the vision.
We exchanged several emails throughout the months leading up to the wedding where I asked for input on table linen choices and the table name holders and Shannon was totally flexible and had good insights on everything. On the day she was on top of deliveries and timeline and created the most spectacular floral displays - honestly one of the highlights of the wedding! -

I don't have enough positive things to say about working with Shannon. I spoke with 8 different florists and I knew within 2 minutes of being on the phone with her that she truly was THE BEST. Shannon listened to my vision, offered suggestions and ultimately made the flowers at my wedding look like a dream. Also, I should add in, that I changed my entire flower design one week before the wedding and she was extremely patient with me and made magic happen. I truly could not recommend working with Shannon highly enough - She is professional, hard-working, extremely talented and one of the best vendors I worked with for my wedding. If you are reading this and trying to decide who to hire, look no further!! -
Alicia Sent on 04/09/2018Shannon and Rare Sparrow created the most beautiful flower arrangements for my wedding at Flood Mansion in SF. She was the first vendor I booked, I knew after our first phone call that she was “the one.” She incredible talented and can create such a beautiful feeling/mood with her flowers. She really will tap into your vision even if you don’t really you have one! She was incredibly accommodating even down to the day before the wedding. Also she is just a nice person, which makes the experience that much better!

Catherine Sent on 10/28/2017Shannon and Rare Sparrow is simply the best! She was the florist for our wedding last weekend at the Golden Gate Club and she far exceeded my very high expectations. Shannon and I spoke early in the wedding planning process, and what struck me was her attention to detail even during the quote process. I shared with her my pinterest board and we talked through in detail what it was I specifically liked about each photo. She really pressed me to understand what it was I liked -- the flower varietal, the color, the shape, etc. In addition to understanding my likes and vision for our wedding, it was also clear that my style matched perfectly with Shannon's style. She is an expert at creating romantic and very organic arrangements, taking into account what is in season and will work best with our wedding venue. Flash forward more than 7 months: A few weeks before our wedding, Shannon created a sample centerpiece arrangement and I was absolutely thrilled. It was beautiful! This gave me even more confidence about the look she would create for us on our wedding. And she nailed it! My flower bouquet was stunning and exactly what I wanted. And then when we walked into our wedding reception room, I was completely blown away. Absolutely stunning!!! My guests were so impressed - everyone commented on how beautiful all of the flowers were and how they created a warm, romantic feeling which is exactly what we were going for. In addition to being a superb florist, Shannon is also a delightful person. So kind and thoughtful, just lovely to work with. I should note that her prices are also very reasonable. Overall, I can't say enough wonderful things about Shannon. I highly recommend Rare Sparrow - you won't be disappointed, in fact you'll be blown away!

Alicia Sent on 10/25/2017Wow! Just wow! Shannon is amazing! We were so lucky to have her create beautiful flowers and arrangements for our wedding, we will forever be grateful! She asked us great specific questions, helped us choose complimentary colors to make the flowers pop, and looked at the venue and other details to create a gorgeous pallet of flowers to play with. My bouquet was a work of art! All the bridesmaids & groomsmens bouquet and bouts were gorgeous, she did an amazing arrangement across the tree for our ceremony, it was all just so gorgeous!!! Beyond creating magic with beautiful handselected flowers, she is one of the kindest, most positive people we have ever known. I could not recommend Shannon and her company enough!

Flowers and related decor were one of my "fear factors" for the wedding because I couldn't picture what I wanted and had a tough time picturing the day. Shannon was so patient and helpful. She made me feel at ease because the tasks were in the hands of a professional! She understood the looks I was going for based on a few inspiration photos I found online. She was able to explain each flower feature to me so I could actually imagine the overall look and feel. I wanted florals that were flowy and romantic with a variety of pastel tones and greenery and the flowers turned out AMAZING!! She was especially helpful with keeping me in budget and even repurposed some of the flowers to get full use out of them and it turned out fantastic! I received numerous compliments throughout the evening on the stunning arrangements, bouquets, and other touches she added throughout the wedding. Thank you, Shannon!!!
