We had our Wedding this year.

We had our Wedding this year. We had our ceremony and reception at the Seaside Room. The patio was perfect for the ceremony and our day of coordinator Ramon Salido made sure our Wedding went smooth without any issues! The food and desserts were amazing, all my guests loved it! Not to mention my three tired cakes with different flavors are so delicious. The service and food are highly recommended at the venue.

Our Beautiful Marina Wedding

My wife and I were very fortunate to get the seaside room for our wedding in June. During our whole planning process Bernardo was amazing. The amount of care, detail, and communication on his end helped us tremendously during that stressful and busy time of our lives. The day of our wedding was perfect. The staff at the reception were professional and on top of things. Bernardo was really good at meeting our needs regarding how we wanted our reception to be. Our Beautiful Marina Wedding

My husband and I had our wedding this past June at the Seaside Room in Marina Village, hosted by Ranch Events — and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! There are so many great things to say about them.
To start, their wedding packages are very competitively priced, and their venues are absolutely beautiful. Having attended many weddings ourselves, we can honestly say ours was the first where we truly enjoyed the food! Initially, we were a bit hesitant about using Ranch Events for catering, but after our tasting, we were completely convinced — the food was delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about both the meal and the ambiance.
Megan, our wedding coordinator, was fabulous. She was incredibly attentive, transparent, and genuinely supportive throughout the entire planning process. From our first meeting, it felt like we had known her for years — such a reassuring feeling during what can be an overwhelming time.
Thanks to Megan and the entire Ranch Events team, the whole process was smooth and stress-free. I wholeheartedly recommend Ranch Events to anyone planning their wedding. You won’t need to look anywhere else!

Great wedding

My son's wedding reception was everything I could have imagined, and more! Bernardo made sure everything was
perfect and went off without a hitch! The room set up was stunning and functional and the food was absolutely
amazing!! So many people came to us and told us this was one of the best weddings they've ever been to!

Great experience!

We cannot say enough about the quality of catering and customer service by Ranch Events for our wedding. Megan was
our main point of contact and was nothing but savvy and open-minded to our food & Bev ideas, creatively bringing them
to life in a functional and beautiful manner. We are the third couple in our family to utilize RE for rehearsal dinners &
weddings, and year over year they always do an amazing job. For our rehearsal dinner, we had buffet island style food
that RE set up at our parents backyard that was a nice casual yet perfectly celebratory dinner style to kick off the
weekend.

At our wedding, we had a plated & served dinner service that was more upscale (where the waiters bring the food to
each person at their tables) and everyone said their service was very detail oriented. We ordered a custom wedding
cake from RE as well as a 4' x 2' berry pastry dessert that they didn't hesitate to tackle making for us - it was stunning,
photo attached! We had a full bar (well numerous bars!) where we ourselves bought & provided all the booze + mixers,
etc. and they served. They absolutely crushed the assignment in all aspects of the weekend and brought our custom,
unique visions to life in a seamless, beautiful manner.

All of our guests raved that it was the best wedding food they've ever had and that the bartending was exceptional. It
meant so much to us to work with a catering company that had many great offerings established but also was excited to
think outside the box and make custom items for us. We even provided beef from the ranch where we got married for
them to cook with for appetizers to literally make the meal from farm to table. So special.

Daughter's Wedding Reception 6-1-2024

What an amazing experience. The venue was beautiful and Megan was absolutely wonderful to work with and so very helpful. The food and cake were so amazing that our guests are still talking about it. The day of the wedding Sal and his team where right on point. Everything was ready for the guests when we arrived. They also were right there when we had a question or needed something. Would definately recommend Rand Events and their staff.

Amazing Caterer for Weddings!

We are beyond pleased with the superb catering of Ranch Events for our wedding at El Cortez’s Don Room! Ramon was so wonderful, helpful, and professional throughout the whole planning process. First, they brought us in for a food tasting, where they provided generous (full) portions of all food per our selected menu (normal, Mexican or Tuscany food menus)—they even provided us a slice of cake for over 9 cake flavors and let us take home all leftovers! The food tasting for our wedding menu that was provided was honestly the first “fun” moment of our stressful wedding planning process and I enjoyed it so much. For the food itself, it was so delicious and flavorful! I was cautious at first about what to expect for food quality and my expectations were far exceeded. Their amazing champagne amaretto cake is a must try for your own taste wedding cake!! The staff is so wonderful and helpful, and our main point of contact, Ramon, was a great coordinator and scheduled meetings for choosing the table linens and finalizing the wedding timeline, which I appreciated because it made me feel more calm about getting everything in place for our wedding. During the actual event, the Ranch Events staff were so professional, friendly and efficient, and all our guests told us how much they loved the food! I highly recommend Ranch Events for your future wedding!

Couldn't be happier with Ranch!

Bernardo and Ranch Catering were beyond incredible to work with throughout our wedding planning process! We originally were going to only use Ranch for their catering services but due to covid and restrictions at our original venue, we ultimately switched our reception to the Ranch Seaside Room in Mission Bay. Being a covid bride moving forward with our original date, I couldn’t help but be sad that we wouldn’t be able to use our original venue and that we would have to cut our guest list, but in the end, our wedding was infinitely more beautiful, fun, and perfect than we had every imagined it could be, all thanks to Bernardo and the Ranch team!

Bernardo worked with us through every step of planning our wedding from pre-covid planning through making the event as safe as possible for our guests. Not only was the food DELICIOUS (as we knew it would be from all of our taste testings!), but the Seaside Room and patio were beyond GORGEOUS and so well done by Ranch. My husband and I to this day are still in awe of how everything came together under Bernardo’s direction and guidance.

Bernardo was at our reception from start to finish making sure my now husband and I were happy with how everything turned out and not hungry! After months of stressful planning, it could not have come together better. It’s been just about two months since our wedding and we still have friends and family telling us how wonderful our wedding was and how it was the highlight of the year.

I rarely write reviews but I am so impressed by Bernardo and Ranch that I had to! I HIGHLY recommend them for any future bride looking for a great team, delicious food, and gorgeous bay front venue at an affordable price!

Amazing value and service from a local, family-owned business

We had a fantastic experience working with Ranch Events to cater our wedding! We have had nothing but fantastic service from this local, family-owned business.

Ramon made the entire process seamless, and was responsive, professional, and an overall delight to work with. We ended up coming in for two tastings, both completely complimentary, and everything was cooked in-house and delicious! We had such a good experience working with Ramon, that we decided to expand our order to include furniture rentals for both our ceremony and reception. We also decided to go with Ranch Events in-house florist, Natalie, and had such a wonderful experience working with Natalie and were blown away by her arrangements and floral choices.

Unfortunately due to the county-wide lockdown for COVID-19 two weeks before our wedding, we had to completely cancel all of our plans last minute. The team at Ranch Events were completely open in communication and empathetic in a time that must have been so difficult for their business, and kept our deposit available to be used on an event at a future date (which was fine with us!).

We have nothing but positive things to say about Natalie, Ramon, and the entire Ranch Events team, and look forward to working with them again in the future to cater many celebrations to come. We've also recommended them to multiple friends since then, because you simply cannot beat the quality and value of their services.

One stop shop for all details

We had our reception in the Sunset Room of the Marina Village, and Ranch is conveniently located on the first floor of the same building. They do pretty much everything! We got cocktail snacks, an espresso bar, chairs, linens, and dinnerware through them. Megan was also very friendly and easy to work with. Would recommend them to anyone who wants to simplify the wedding planning process a bit!

She walked us through everything, letting us know all of our options, meeting with us several times to make sure our day was perfect! We got married at Marina Village this past Sunday and had our reception in the Catalina Room. Ranch Events made the planning and the wedding day so smooth. We worked with Bernardo and he went above and beyond on the day of the wedding to ensure it was everything we had hoped for. Our family and friends who helped bring decorations and flowers to the venue had nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff that we there throughout the set up and the reception. The bartender and servers were wonderful! Ranch Events and Bernardo truly made our wedding memorable, beautiful and amazing and we are so appreciative to them for that!

At first I was hesitant to book with Ranch Events because of the bad reviews. But my experience with RE and Rhonda was nothing short from amazing. She was extremely easy to work with, full of great innovative ideas, and very professional. She worked within our budget and made great suggestions to keep costs within our price range. We even got two food tastings, because at our first food tasting we were so stuffed after sampling all of the apps & entrees that we couldn’t decide on the cake flavor. So we scheduled a second cake tasting and Rhonda provided us with an unexpected entrée tasting as well. The food was even better at the reception than at the first and second tastings. At the tastings I wasn’t impressed with the asparagus, but at the reception they were steamed perfectly. Honestly, my guests raved about the food and cake. They are still talking about it! Rhonda suggested a creative, unique & cost effective touch to our table centerpieces, they were cake centerpieces and they turned out equally beautiful as delicious. She was able to find a specific type of rose to top the cake centerpieces in order to match the bouquets. Also there were a couple extra bonuses: RE served chocolate & strawberries with our cheese station, gummy bears & several candy toppings at the ice cream sundae bar and RE even supplied large decorative, blue light-up globes throughout the reception venue. The Seaside Room has comfortable & charming vibe and truly everything surpassed my expectations. Thank you everyone at RE, Rhonda, kitchen staff, wait staff, bartenders, decorating team and set-up/clean-up crew! The service was outstanding and the venue was decorated perfect! (If you have a special request, then just ask you’ll be surprised how accommodating RE/Rhonda can be.) Thank you for creating our best day ever!!!

My husband and I are so thankful to have worked with Bernardo and Ranch Events for our January 2016 wedding. Ranch had everything we needed and more. We chose the Seaside Room at Marina Village because of its gorgeous harbor views and outdoor patio space. Ranch also provided the tables, linens, cups plates and silverware, and they had a wide selection to choose from. The day of our wedding, they did an amazing job decorating and setting up.

Since Ranch is located at Marina Village, we knew all the food and cake/cupcakes would be made on site, so it would be at its freshest when served. Buffet was delicious and definitely the way to go, since it gave our guests more food options. We also loved that they let us have a cutting cake AND cupcakes to serve. Everyone loved the food served at our wedding!

I can’t forget to mention that they allowed us to bring in our own alcohol for the bar! Ranch provided excellent bartending services and allowed us to have both an outdoor and indoor bar to assist the large crowd during cocktail hour. In fact, all the catering staff, including our captain, were friendly and amazing to work with on our wedding day! Also it was an absolute pleasure to have Bernardo assisting us from start to finish! He was always quick to answer questions by email, and anytime we came to the venue, he made sure to say hello and see if we needed help with anything. He went above and beyond to make our special day a memorable one! I highly recommend Ranch Events for any special occasion events, and be sure to ask for Bernardo!

We worked with Beth from Ranch Events and she was fantastic. So helpful and made everything so easy! I'm a bride who had no idea what I wanted and Beth walked me through everything very patiently. Their food and tasting services are amazing and by far the best value. My husband wasn't able to attend the tasting but Beth sent me home with some samples for him to try, she really went above and beyond our expectations. Everyone at the wedding raved about the food and went back for more!

We also used their venue space at Marina Village and loved it! Beautiful venue on the bay and the sunset was stunning! Again planning, set up and execution was done with Beth and I can't thank her enough for making the best day of my life so easy and wonderful!

It is with great pleasure that I’m writing this letter of commendation for the captain of our event. My daughter, Marisa’s wedding was Catered & designed by Ranch Events. The food and service was received by guests and family with many compliments, but it was the manner in which the service was provided by your staff, that drew the greatest reviews.
My daughters and indeed our two families were impressed by the professionalism and personal touch & the attention to detail. The captain was facilitative and coordinated the events with easy and skill. Many of our guests were very complementary. In our every day “hustle and bustle” were generally expect quality, service and we are quick to complain when we don’t receive it. We often forget that a job well done should not be overlooked.

Ranch Catering took care of EVERYTHING for me! Bernardo was my event planner, he e-mailed me and called me every week or every other week to make sure that he had everything correct for our paperwork and made sure that our reception room was going to be decorated in the right color and styles as we had asked. Bernardo set up our candy bar and was directing workers on what to do before our reception had started. He was VERY efficient with communication, he let me know when we was going to be out of town and he also e-mailed me back within 12 hours! He was an amazing planner. Our tasting was also amazing! We got to try all of the food, pick our own menu, change anything within the entrees and we were served at our wedding the entire night. Ranch also did our wedding cake, we got to sample and pick which layer we wanted and I was able to send my own design of the cake to them and our cake was flawless! Ranch provided all of out glassware, silverware, plates and linens along with a bartender, ice, and our wait staff, all at a really good price! I would HIGHLY recommend Ranch to anybody who is not looking to do their own decorations and somebody who is VERY easy to communicate with!

Ranch Catering was wonderful to work with. Rhonda Wick is a well experienced caterer and she provided us with great recommendations regarding hors devours, entrees, etc. We decided on a duo of filet mignon and salmon and our guests raved about the food at our wedding. Ranch Catering also provided our cake and it was the best wedding cake I have ever had. The tasting was a fun event, bring members of your wedding party and an appetite!

After a bad experience with another catering company, I found ranch catering! Rhonda was so helpful, so knowledgeable, so accommodating, and so sweet! The food was delicious, the service staff at our wedding were so nice and so professional, they were fantastic. So wonderful so, that many of our guests commented on the quality if the food as well as the great service. It was great! many people said that the coconut shrimp was delicious. Ranch catering helped make our wedding perfect..I highly recommend ranch catering....especially Rhonda (she's soooo nice!)

We worked with Rhonda from Ranch events for our July 28th wedding at the El Cortez. Every step of the process was a breeze, from tasting to linen selection to cake design. Rhonda was easily accessible by cell phone and email, ready to answer any of our questions. When it came to the day of the event, the staff was extremely professional and executed everything just as we had hoped.
Ranch is a great and affordable option as they include so much in their packages, and as we found, often include other unexpected "extras" as well. From start to finish Rhonda did a fantastic job helping us put it all together, it turned out absolutely stunning!

We used Bernardo with Ranch Catering for our wedding, and got the package deal at the Marina Village Seaside Room. They did a phenomenal job with our wedding- he basically acted as the wedding planner throughout the night. He helped decorate and set up, provided the linens, table cloths, dishware, bartenders, servers, tables, chairs, appetizers, meal, and cake. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how good the food was!! We got the Mediterranean Chicken and Portobello Mushroom Wellington as main dishes- which we think were the best choices, with the White Chocolate Raspberry Swirl Cake. We could not be happier with the service we received, and recommend them for any event!

Ranch did a great job catering our wedding. The food was excellent and affordable. The actually cost less than what we priced out trying to rent all the silverware, chairs, dishes, etc and put it all together ourselves. We also got the cake from them and it was so delicious! Bernardo was our consultant and he gave us great advice to save money, but still make it look great and run smoothly. They arrived early, were ready to serve food as soon as we needed it and they stayed late to clean everything up. Our guests were really happy with the food, their servers and bartenders did a great job and were very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend them!

Ramon at Ranch Catering was excellent. They handled the food, linens, room set up, bartender, and clean up. The room was beautiful and the food was excellent. People are still talking about the food! They were very professional and worked with us for to make the event exactly what we wanted. I would recommend this caterer to anyone!

Everything was AMAZING! I was a Los Willows bride. They brought me in, we tasted everything and made our selections - they even allowed us to add things without extra costs. The food the day of the wedding was great. I am still getting comments on how wonderful the food was and how great it was to have so many options at a buffet.

I worked with Rhonda over at Ranch Events. She was attentive from the very beginning until the end. We not only did the catering with Ranch Events but also the linens, food, cake & floral (Nantucket Floral) which I will comment on the in the flower section (unhappy with response). Talk about a one stop shop and getting the most for your money. Ranch catering was amazing to work with and they made it so easy. They had everything I needed and didn't have to worry about a thing. Beth was amazing and she made sure everything was taken care of. The food and cake were to die for and there were so many choices to chose from and depending on how much you wanted to spend. The staff were dressed so nice and they were great. I would definitely use Ranch Catering again, they made my day stress and worry free.

Ranch Catering is amazing! They are truly the most all inclusive event company in San Diego and the absolute best value. In addition to being very reasonable, they put on a classy and elegant event. I was nervous about using a company with so much included because I thought the quality of certain things wouldn't be up to par but everything from start to finish was amazing. The flowers, the food, the linens, the heat lamps, the twinkle lights, the servers, all perfect! I really must take a second though to commend their bakery. The wedding cake they designed for our wedding was STUNNING and I got so many compliments on it. Not only was the look of the cake perfect, it tasted UNBELIEVABLE!! We orders white chocolate raspberry and it was one of the best deserts I've ever had. I still have guests that bring it up!

All in all Ranch Events put together a million dollar wedding for two people who are most definitely not millionaires :). Thank you Wick family and Ranch Events for taking such good care of us on our wedding day!!

Ranch Catering is the best! Namely, David Wick is the best! We had outstanding service from him. He has a wealth of knowledge, he offered great suggestions and was willing to work with us every step of the way. We were blown away with their food tasting experience; we even got to take leftovers! The food the day of the wedding was wonderful and the setup was beautiful. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food and drinks. We had a great bar selection and service. The cake turned out beautiful and larger than I had expected, which is a good thing! All in all, I have to give Ranch Catering and David Wick my highest recommendation.

Ranch Catering was the recommended vendor for our venue. However, we were free to shop around, and we did. We came back to Ranch Catering because it was the best value for the cost. Our wedding was on a budget, but we didn't want to be *cheap*. Ranch gave us beautiful and delicious food for a great price. For example, my favorite foods that we chose were a macadamia-encrusted chicken breast with a mango chutney, and also the champagne-raspberry wedding cake. Does that sound budget to you? :-) Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful - it was a white frosted cake covered in what looked like real sea shells and starfish - only they were made out of white chocolate!

Ricardo M. was our event designer, and he worked with us to give us everything we wanted. He was entirely flexible with the menu, allowing us to add and subtract things as we wished. He even had the chef use our wedding colors to tint the white chocolate seashells on our cake. We had our choice of china, linens, and flatware. Classic round plates, or modern square? Ricardo also was able to offer us chair and table rentals at a lower price than our venue.

On the day of, the serving staff was 100% professional. We opted for a buffet-style meal, but the staff brought my husband and I our plates so that we could just sit back and enjoy. We chose to hire a bartender from Ranch, but supplied our own beer and wine. I would recommend to anyone to make sure you have a professional, licensed bartender with liability insurance serve at your event. The last thing you ever want on your special day is to be responsible for a guest who drank too much.

Ranch does not require you to buy your cake from them, but they do charge a cake-cutting fee if you do not. When all was considered, we decided to have them bake our cake (through their partner bakery. Renaissance), and we were not sorry! It was beautiful and delicious.

Bring family or friends to the food tasting! And bring your appetite! Try all the different cake flavors! Drink the wine! And definitely don't be afraid to ask for something that's not on the menu or that's not part of the package you chose. Ranch Catering aims to please.

I got engaged and married within 3 months, they were very flexible and had many cakes to choose from, that were soooo delicious and beautiful. I got married on a Sunday and it was no problem for them. I had 3 different flavors and they were all so delicious. Everyone told me that it was the best wedding cake they ever had, and I agree.

Awesome food. We had a hard time picking what food to have at the wedding when we went to the tasting. So many wonderful items to choose from. The staff that set up the buffett did a great job. When my cake coudn't be made in time, they were able to accommodate and make a beautiful cake exactly as I wanted.

Convenient in Every Way!

We stumbled upon Ranch Events when we were touring Marina Village for a wedding venue. Julie (our wedding coordinator through Ranch Events) helped us as soon as we walked in their office and gave us a tour. We loved the Seaside Room - our requirements for a venue was plenty of bathrooms and parking, which it definitely has! The room itself has so many windows, beautiful drapery, patio lights, etc. for a very romantic atmosphere. And the sunset over the marina is really pretty! (I was worried the marina would smell like fish but it doesn't) I wish the bride room had natural lighting but they put in plenty of lights to brighten it up. It's also very convenient to the freeway, hotels nearby, and major attractions.
The venue was on the affordable side. You do have to use their in house caterer. I consider myself a cake aficionado and I wasn't in love with the cakes we tasted so they gave us options like an ice cream bar. Basically if you have an idea for a cuisine or dish, they can do it!
Julie was very responsive through the whole experience and let us do as many walk throughs as we needed. The day of experience was great, you can tell this is like clock work for the staff because they host events daily. They made it very easy for us and our vendors.

Great location for a reasonable price!

Couldn't be happier with Ranch Events! My husband and I were planning our wedding during COVID, and our original venue had to cancel. We needed to find a new reception location and came across Ranch Events through the list of preferred vendors for one of the ceremony locations we were looking at. While we initially were looking at a caterer only, we quickly learned from Ramon of Ranch Events that they run and manage the Seaside Room at the Marina Village Conference Center, which was perfect for us - they were literally a one-stop shop, and they were located conveniently 5 minutes away from the ceremony location we eventually chose.

Ramon was so helpful and courteous throughout our planning process. Our tasting absolutely delicious and the final meals we chose were fantastic. Ramon and Ranch Events were extremely flexible with us throughout the entire process and were great at providing us any tips or advice that other couples had during their events there.

Our wedding day was just as beautiful as we imagined it. All of the staff were fabulous, and the entire event ran by really smoothly. Our guests loved the location and the open atmosphere with the patio and floor to ceiling glass windows. We also loved the upstairs balcony area for our wedding party to use for our outfit changes. It was a good place to slip away if anyone needed it! The only downside is we had purchased sheet cake for our guests and a display cake for us to take home, but all of it ended up getting served so we had none left to take home. I guess the silver lining is our guests all got to enjoy our cake!

I would definitely recommend Ranch Events for any event!

We got so many complements on the food at our wedding from our friends and family that I would highly recommend them for anyone's wedding. We also used them for the table linens and draping for our venue. Everything was delicious and arrived right on time. The only thing that I could say that I wish they had was a gluten free option for their delicious cakes so that my mother could've had one of our wedding cupcakes.

Ramon Salido was our Event coordinator at Ranch Catering. He was totally amazing. We went to like 6 different food tastings and we still got the same 5 star treatment every single time we went. We were on a pretty tight budget and he really worked with us to get us a great deal. The food was AMAZING! Our guests are still talking about how great the food was, and that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Our cake was a big suprise, because he upgraded us to a fondant design and it was beautiful, not to mention the chocolate truffle flavor was sooo good! He was always treated us like a close personal friend of his and we really saw this come through the day of the reception. The staff was soo amazing, constantly coming up to my husband and I asking us if we needed anything! Ramon was also there to make sure that everything was going according to plan. I really believe that this is the best waterfront location for a reception without paying triple the price of the surrounding reception sites. Our reception was truly unforgettable, I would highly recommend Ranch Catering for anyone on a budget because the quality of their services is amazing!

In my book to rate a five, there needs to be no room for improvement. Someone must offer exceptional service. Ranch Events did that. Great price, willing to negotiate, and do everything to make our experience fantastic. Our only complaint was that they arrived on the wedding day later than expected. Up till that day everything was fantastic, and the eventual set up was great. We didn't wait on them for the meal or cocktail hour, though our guests did have to see them setting up since our reception was at the same place as the wedding. Fantastic, highly recommended. Ask for Bernardo! (and ask for the Cambria Cheesecake-spiced pumpkin pie!

"They do everything and work with your budget" - when I (separately) asked two of my recently married friends why they recommended Ranch as a wedding caterer, they both said this exact thing (and these two ladies don't know each other). We used them for our wedding and this statement is so true! They work with you to help your vision come to life all while keeping you within your budget. We were very impressed with their flexibility and professionalism, and Ramon was easy to work with.

They literally will do everything (not just catering food) and their food tastes amazing! Even the cake! They will provide a full bar setup (including glasses, ice, etc) and will allow you to purchase your own alcohol to help you save money (or they will provide all the alcohol - it's up to you!). We got a fantastic price for a cocktail hour (with appetizers), full sit-down dinner, cake, and ALL the linens, dinnerware, etc was included! No hidden fees! You want the fancy tablecloths? No extra charge! You want flowers on your cake? No extra charge. They are amazingly flexible, and Ramon was great fun to work with.
The cake was so much more beautiful than we imagined!!! Now we know why Ramon recommended putting the cake table in a more "central" location rather than off to the side like we've seen at so many other weddings. They will do just about anything you want and are super flexible. Just make sure that you communicate all of your desires and that they all get added to the paperwork in case your catering contact can't make it that day, so that the captain is aware of everything.
We will definitely be recommending them to our friends!

Rhonda was awesome! She helped us plan everything in regards to catering, china and table linens. She was an absolute gem. The only thing that disappointed us was that our filet was cooked med-well instead of the med-rare that we requested. Other than that, everything turned out great!

We hired Ranch Events as our reception caterer and reception venue host. We had several meetings with Ramon to refine our vision, create a menu, and pick out linens. Ramon took the time to listen to our wants and needs, and was able to accommodate our vision. Early on in the planning process we had budget concerns. Ramon listened to our concerns and found a way to make it happen. We rented to Seaside room at Marina Village. It came with an adjoining outside area that we used for our cocktail hour. The venue to perfect, and came with a few pre-installed decor, which fit seamlessly with our decor.

Ranch Events provided the food for our cocktail hour, reception, cake, and bar staff. Everyone LOVED the food and cake! In fact, the cake was the best I have ever tasted! We are still getting feedback from guests on how much they loved the food! Salvador, the event captain was amazing. He ensure everyone was fed in a timely manner, and even cut up the entire cake for people to take home at the end of the night. My only complaint was that someone in the bar staff did not want to use some of the mixers we had purchased for our signature drink, and instead had one of the groomsmen run out at the last minute and purchase a different mixer, even though the ones we had would have worked just fine.

Overall I recommend Ranch Events, especially if you are planning on hosting your event at Marina Village.

The level of communication isn't all that great, but the food was great and plentiful. You get sooo much for the cost. We got cupcakes and creme brulee for our dessert and had a buffet for dinner and all the food turned out amazing - though the lines were long and went a little slow.

I was completely amazed by Ranch. Ranch caters my office for the holidays and I was never fully impressed with the parties, but felt since they offerred a great price I would check them out. Ranch completely blew my expectations out of the water. The room looked spectacular--- they really did a wonderful job. We had a soiree, in which there were appetizers and then a carving station. Many people were exceptionally thrilled with the food. In addition, we had a large chocolate fountain in which everyone flocked to the minute the got in the door. Most impressive is that we chose to have individual cakes on each table as our centerpiece. Each table had a different cake...and the day before the wedding I spoke to Ranch to discuss what how I wanted the cakes to be decorated. I had no idea...so I said just make it all look beautiful, and boy did they! The cakes on the table were spectacular looking and really was wonderous. What was also special is the staff, they were extremely professional and helpful. What was great was when I came in, I asked if the had blueberry vodka and they said no. (we had a full open bar the whole night). Five minutes later the bartender approached me with a smile and lo and behold in her hands was a bottle of blueberry vodka! In addition, my husband stated that if he put his drink down the moment he went to go look for it a staff member was there with the drink in hand... They also were polite and really made it a special event.

The food was great- and seriously, Ranch made my wedding super spectacular. We had a bit of rough spots preparing for the wedding with them, our account changed hands a few times, which is what made me nervous of what we were going to get in the end...but once I walked into the reception, my fears were all washed away.

In addition, Ranch provided the chairs for our outdoor wedding. When we went to show them the spot choice, our catering specialist suggested a different area near-by. I must say, the choice he made completely changed our wedding from special or exceptional! Also, they helped us with getting a double decker bus for our guests to come to and from the wedding.

I highly recommend RANCH.

Ranch catering had amazing food!! We had ordered three types of meals: 2 different types for the majority and we had also asked that they provide a vegetarian alternative... The 2 different types of meals were provided and they did a great job at that... The food was perfect and fresh but they did forget about the veg alternative. I did ask for a very simple cake design and dropped off my fresh flowers, ribbon, and other peices for them to decorate my cake with and they had forgotten to put those peices in the cake and brought the cake completely bare ... It worked out ok because I had a little extra decorations left over but I was mostly upset about that; otherwise, the serving staff was extremely helpful and so nice to my guests the serving staff went above and beyond what I had been told that they were going to do... Every wedding will have small little hiccups and I am glad that it was those two things because everything else was perfect! I would use ranch catering again however next time I would call a day in advance and check to insure that they had everything that they needed and to run through what I had asked for because they were truly a delight otherwise!

Overall we thought Ranch Events did a great job catering our wedding. Rhonda was especially great, providing excellent customer service and made time for us whenever we needed it. I would give her 5 stars in every category. The food was good, and the cake was drop dead gorgeous. The only criticism I would have is that they are a huge company and book a TON of weddings so you sort of feel lost in the shuffle. I know they double booked a few things for our ceremony, such as our arch and we were stuck with a old rusty one. (Kind of just nitpicking) My mother showed up early and had to instruct them on a few things they forgot about but I'm not sure if that's on them of the florist (we had a package deal) We were happy with the outcome though, it was a great wedding.

Ranch Events is a company that provides you with easy clear-cut packages that work with your budget. Using a package cut down how many vendors I had to interview and deal with and how many contracts I had to organize.
Each package provides a coordinator the day of the wedding and allows you to sample all their food before signing with them. Bring your appetite!

I just wanted to write and let you know how amazing your staff was last night. They were all so great to work with. Gio was an unbelievably wonderful banquet captain. He was totally organized to a "T" and you can tell his crew really respects him. Bob did an awesome job bar-tending; he is fun spirited and very professional. Seaside room for our wedding reception was a great choice.

We used the Seaside room for our wedding ceremony and reception site in March 2015.
We worked with Bernardo as our point of contact and I have the highest compliments for him and his staff. From the first day we met with Bernardo, he took a genuine interest in what we wanted for the wedding and reception. The fact he controlled the room setup, décor and catering was a tremendous advantage and made it easier for us to focus on other vendors.
The reception went exactly as promised, the buffet lines went smoothly and there were no significant delays to get everyone served. We received compliments on the food quality and it exceeded our expectations. Choosing the cupcake option allowed us to choose a variety of flavours and guests were able to sample the multiple options.
Bringing our own alcohol saved us a significant amount of money and allowed us to have an open bar for the entire reception. The Ranch bartenders were responsive and professional and made sure that we got back everything that was not used.
Highly recommend this location. Our first impression was that the empty room looked a little dated, but once Bernardo and his team worked their magic we were left with a gorgeous setting for a lifetime of memories.

Ranch catered our wedding at Marina Village on 3/12/15. It was beautiful and everything went exactly as I hoped! The food was delicious -- perfect really! The short ribs were to die for! Rhonda was our contact there, she was so sweet and helpful and amazing! She helped us plan every detail and really made my dream come true. We were on a tight budget, Rhonda was open to negotiating the price and working with us on that. She also made sure we had the pretty chairs (makes a difference not having to use a separate rental company) and every detail the way we wanted. Even down to the way the napkins were folded! Staffs were very helpful too, setting up early in the day so we could put down our DIY centerpieces. Our event captain, he was very nice and gracious. It all came off without a hitch and Ranch was a big part of the reason why! I highly recommend them and working with Rhonda specifically.

My husband and I would like to extend our deepest thanks to all of you, and your staffs, for the extra ordinary job that you all did for my daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Jordan, at their wedding on Saturday. The wedding experience exceeds all of our expectations. The room was beautiful in both set-ups; both the ceremony and the reception afterwards. The food was delicious and we received many compliments on your behalf. The flowers and center pieces were lovely and exactly what my daughter had anticipated. Every staff member that we came in contact with, both prior to, and on the day of the wedding, was professional and helpful. Our friends and families raved about the whole wedding experience and we whole heartedly agreed with them.
Thank you all for making Stephanie and Jordan's wedding day such a special occasion. We greatly appreciated all of your patience. The memories that you helped to make will last our family a lifetime.

Your willingness to meet Steve and me with Jon at Sunrise was such a relief and a reaffirmation of our choice to hire Ranch Events. Your idea, knowledge and experience were invaluable. And then to have a second meeting with Bob and his assistant, Kathy, was beyond any expectation.
Bob’s calm, gentle and generous responses and his depth of understanding of our situation was a true blessing. He is amazing!

Dear Jason Peltier, I just wanted to drop a line to you and commend Julie Palomares for going above and beyond the call of duty. She made the extra effort to come by to meet with ours and your client Yvette Madueno prior to her wedding at the San Diego History Center on March 27th even though she was not a client Julie was obligated to meet with. The client and the client’s family immediately took a liking to her and felt very reassured by her expertise and helpful information. Julie also then made the extra effort to come by on the day of the 27th to make certain that everything was going smoothly and well. The client and her family asked me to make certain to thank Julie since they felt that because of her extra effort and care that they had received the best personal care and service from your company.
Julie is certainly an outstanding member of the Ranch Events team and she has made working with your company an enjoyable experience.
