Ramada Kissimmee Gateway Reviews

We booked this venue for my parents 25th wedding anniversary celebration in August 2016. Felipe was wonderful to work with, he is very attentive to detail, he always responded very fast to emails and calls and he is extremely professional. I met with him just 6 weeks before the party and I was afraid that the party was not going to turn out as I wanted with such short notice but I was very wrong. Felipe really outdid himself and my parents and I were so pleased! We also enjoyed working with Chef Bobby, he is such a nice guy and he really listened when we discussed the food, he did a great job! All of our guest had a great time and the venue looked beautiful! Felipe, thank you so much... You were great! Thank you for having so much patience with me, I know at times I was a little difficult but you worked right along with me to accomplish what I invisioned for parents party!

Felipe and Manuel were very helpful.

The Ramada Gateway is a great venue for all events! Felipe Bonnells, (the catering coordinator) and his staff were very professional and they provided us with the wedding of our dreams. Our friends and family members enjoyed the wedding, reception and their hotel stay. My husband and I gained some of the most precious and beautiful moment’s together due to the accommodations that Felipe had organized with his team. We never knew anything about the Ramada Gateway Kissimmee, but thanks to Felipe we had found a home in the hotel world with Ramada Gateway Kissimmee. The comfort that my husband and I received from the catering staff makes it really hard to consider any other hotels. We would like to give a special thanks to Chef Bobby for preparing a delicious and balanced meal for our guests. Last but not least, it's because of Felipe that we will make it a point to visit Ramada Gateway Kissimmee at least once year.

I have to say that Felipe really outdid himself and I genuinely appreciate all that he did. He was honest and upfront which really surprised me because most of time the first thing people want is your business but instead he listened to what I wanted and worked out a detailed plan for me according to my budget. He was also very accommodating and making sure all my needs were met.

The room that I had was pretty big (100 guests) and the carpet was a beige / sage color with a more modern look compared to the traditional old fashioned carpet.

The chef, I forgot his name, was very nice and also very accommodating. I had two guests with a food allergy and he made sure to cook for them a special meal. The food itself was delicious … never have I been to a wedding with food as good as his. All my guests were happy with the food and service.

The staff was also very professional, polite and friendly. I was very pleased and I highly recommend this reception place.

Oh and one last thing, we got a complimentary room for the night so we were able to party without leaving the hotel.

Everything was perfect from start to finish! Felipe Bonells is awesome and the team he had with him made my day magical and wonderful!

IF YOU WANT A VENUE THAT YOU NEED TO FIGHT WITH THEM FOR EVERY LITTLE THING EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PROMISED BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT THIS IS THE VENUE OR YOU. IN THE END WE WON THE BATTLES BUT IT WAS UNESSESARY TO PUT US THROUGH THAT. WHAT SHOULD HAVE REMAINED A HAPPY OCCAISION WAS STUPIDLY STRESSFUL. ONE EXCUSE THEY OVER USED WAS "THIS IS A PUBLIC AREA" CANT MAKE AN AISLE FOR THE BRIDE TO WALK DOWN TO CEREMONY WHICH A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE THAT WAS A CHOICE WE AGREED UPON. THE DANCE FLOOR WAS SO SMALL JUST ENOUGH FOR 2 COUPLES WE FOUGHT HARD AND WE MOVED TABLES AROUND AND GOT THEM TO MAKE THE DANCE FLOOR 3 TIMES AS LARGE. COULDNT SET UP THE CEREMONY CHAIRS TIL 40 MINS BEFORE WEDDING BECAUSE IT WAS A PUBLIC AREA EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID WE COULD SET UP 2 HOURS BEFORE WEDDING NEEDLESS TO SAY NO TIME FOR DRESSING WE ENDED UP BEING LATE. BUT THE PART THAT DROVE ME THE CRAZIEST WAS THERE LACK OF COMUNICATION I WAS DEALING WITH TWO VENUES TRYING TO DECIDE THIS IS FLORIDA I AM IN CALIFORNIA I CHOSE RAMADA BECAUSE THE LADY THERE AT THE TIME, RESPONSE TIME WAS AWESOME HOWEVER AS SOON AS I BOOKED THIS VENUE SHE DISSAPEARED WAITING SEVERAL DAYS TO A WEEK FOR REPLYIES TO MY EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS SHE EVEN GAVE ME HER CELL WHEN I COMPLAINED BUT SHE NEVER RESPONDED TO THAT EITHER SHE INTRODUCED ME TO THE LADY TAKING OVER SHE WAS JUST A BIG JOKE AS WELL, NEVER RESPONDED TO MY PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS. NO PLACE FOR THE BRIDE TO HIDE OUT EXCEPT A LIL ALLEY WAY. WE HAD TO SEARCH EACH TIME TO FIND A WEDDING EVENT PERSON EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW AHEAD OF TIME WE WRE ARRIVING. TWICE TO 2 DIFFERENT PERSONEL I SAID I DONT KNOW HOW YOU GUYS DO BUSINESS HERE WITH NO COMUNICATION. I AM A TIPPER BUT BECAUSE THEY MADE ME FIGHT FOR SO MANY THINGS WHICH WERE PROMISED I FELT THEY DIDNT DESERVE EVEN A SMALL TIP. SORRY FOLKS. I DO REGRET NOT TIPPING ONE OF THE YOUNGER GUYS HE ACTUALLY EMPATHIZED WITH US AND MADE THINGS RIGHT BUT UNFORTUNATELY I DONT KNOW HIS NAME SO THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT THAT.

I'm sorry, and I normally don't write a review but this was horrible!!. First I am not sure who Felipe was from the past reviews but I went to see the venue and spoke with Jesse who stated she does the events. Now although she was nice, she failed to obtain all our information due to her being in a rush to leave for the day. After we noticed this we sent her an email and left several messages with NO replies!! Trying to put an event is stressful to say the least, but dealing with vendors of this magnitude is a horrifying experience. Good Luck all!
