My husband and I had a small outdoor elopement with just our officiant and photographer, and Sophia at Rachel’s Lakeside made it feel like a true celebration. Even though it was such an intimate event, she went above and beyond to make us feel like VIP guests. She helped set up our spot by the gazebo, which looked absolutely beautiful with the fall foliage as our backdrop. Sophia was so responsive and accommodating — she managed to fit us in between two other weddings that day without ever making us feel rushed. Everything was perfect thanks to her!

We highly recommend Rachel's Lakeside!
We worked closely with Kendra leading up to our wedding and then switched to Sofia the last month and the night of our wedding. Both ladies were incredible to work with and ensured our wedding was everything we wanted. Everything went so smoothly and it was perfect. We felt listened to and had all questions answered throughout the planning process. They were so accommodating and responsive at all times. We cannot say enough about Rachel's and their staff!! -

Amazing!!!!
We were a couple that had to move our original date from 8/2020 to 6/19/21 due to covid. We can’t speak highly enough of how Sherri and Katie helped us with the stress of planning all of this and being so flexible with us due to covid. We had a morning wedding with a ceremony out in the gazebo which was absolutely beautiful! Since we love breakfast so much we took advantage of their brunch for our reception and our only regret is that we didn’t get to eat enough just due to mingling with our guests, but from what we did get to eat the waffles and omelets were to freaking die for! We can’t thank the staff at rachels lakeside enough for making our wedding absolutely worth the wait! -

Beautiful Effortless Affordable Wedding
Throughout the whole process of planning my wedding Sherri, Tyler, & Katie were all a pleasure to work with! However, it was Katie that I worked most with towards the end & did the majority of the work the day of & who I feel like deserves some extra recognition. She had the room setup way ahead of time so that I was able to see everything at the rehersal. She made everything look perfect & exactly the way I wanted, which saved me the trouble of getting to the venue extra early the day of to do a walk through of everything. She was also a joy to have around when I was getting ready. She made a point of checking in with me periodically to let me know when the wedding party & vendors had arrived & that she had gotten them setup as well. On top of that she checked in with me to make sure I was good & when my mom was having trouble doing my bustle she came to the rescue! She even started the camera to record our ceremony, so I didn't have to bother the groomsmen to do it. Also did I mention she made a point to have her outfit match my wedding colors?! Honestly, she went above & beyond & I couldn't be more greatful. I felt like everything was so on point when she was there & I wish she could've stayed the whole night. All in all it was a pretty perfect day. The only recommendation I have for the venue is that if you get hor d'oeuvres make sure the servers save some for or bring some to the bride & groom while they're getting photos done. That & if you get desserts have the servers bring out a little bit of everything, not one thing at a time. But in short if you want to have an effortless wedding that's beautiful & won't break the bank have it Rachel's Lakeside. Sherri, Tyler, & Katie all want your day to be perfect & will answer any questions you have along the way & do everything for you to put your mind at ease to make it that way. -

Had my wedding at Rachel’s on June 16, 2018 and it couldn’t have gone any smoother. If I could give Rachel’s higher then 5 stars I would. Working with Sherri for 2 years she became more then just my coordinator for the place, she became a friend. Stayed with us until after dinner just to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible for us and it did. I have not one thing bad to say about our night, it is everything we could have wanted and more. We got a lot of compliments from our guests about the food coming in very quick and delicious! After Sherri left for the night Tyler did an excellent job taking over. So grateful for them giving us a night for us and our guests to remember fondly -

I got married here back in June
Rachels Lakeside is the place to get married! Sherri and Tyler were amazing to work with and they were so attentive to our needs. They made the place look absolutely amazing and the food was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone for their events -

Kristin Sent on 09/23/2017Working with Sherri from Rachel's was a blast, Sherri helps you out with your day and makes you feel special. Sherri stayed on top of everything and was very organized. I even noticed that even was she was not in her office she walked around with the phone so that way she wouldn't miss any phone calls. Even on the day of your wedding Sherri will make sure that you are not stressed what so ever. My father likes to walk around and usually i have to follow him to make sure not lose him, but Sherri was very nice and on my wedding day she kept an eye on him as i got ready and was out of site form my Groom. -

The Perfect Venue
Rachel’s Lakeside is a beautiful venue. The mid-October foliage and lakeside views created a stunning backdrop for our wedding photos.
My bridal party and I got ready in the Tuscany Suite, which was absolutely gorgeous. It had plenty of space for our makeup artist, hair stylists, and all of us getting ready. The lighting was beautiful, perfect for getting-ready photos and it made the entire morning feel relaxed and special.
Sofia and her team were fantastic. She made the entire booking process easy and was consistently responsive from the day we reserved the date to the day we got married. She ensured our ceremony ran smoothly and our reception looked perfect. I didn’t need to give her detailed instructions, she brought my vision to life with her experience and professionalism.
The food was delicious, and many guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. Our appetizers were coconut chicken, bacon-wrapped scallops, and grilled tenderloin crostini. For entrées, we offered Prime Rib au Jus and New Bedford Scrod. All were excellent.
Our bartender was amazing and made great drinks. We had suggested cocktails (his: espresso martini; hers: blackberry margarita), and both were perfect.
I’m so pleased with how everything turned out. I highly recommend Rachel’s to anyone looking for a beautiful ceremony and reception with excellent food and drinks. -

Recently we threw a second bridal shower in eighteen months at Rachel’s. Katie was our go-to person at the venue. It was so easy to work with LaFrance Hospitality and I would recommend that you consider this company and one of its venues for your special events.
We had a lunch buffet and a brunch buffet. We brought in the cake which the kitchen cut. Such easy parking and no stairs for guests who cannot use them. -
