Jodi and her team were wonderful to work with. My husband and I had so much fun at the tasting, and Jodi recommended adjustments to our cake ideas to make it look even more beautiful. The final product blew us away! Rachel's cakes also made cookies for our favor table, which our guests were raving about. We will definitely be going back for all future events! -

Delicious, beautiful cake
We loved working with Rachel for our wedding cake and dessert table. The flavors were amazing, and several of our guests told us it was the best cake they ever had. We went with vanilla toffee, strawberry, and Rachel’s signature cake (Guinness/salted caramel). Rachel was also extremely patient and willing to accommodate our budget and requests. -

Lisa Sent on 02/10/2018Best.Cake.Ever.!!! Thanks to Rachel's Cakes for the best wedding cake hands down. Everyone at our wedding reception raved about it. We had a hard time choosing which cake, but we loved Rachel's Cake the best which is "Guinness chocolate cake, layered with salted caramel cream cheese and frosted with vanilla buttercream. Drizzled with salted caramel." They handled the cake with care and there were no issues with the delivery. Thank you!

We'd heard of Rachel's Cakes through a friend (who had the most delicious cake at her wedding), who had herself heard about Rachel's Cakes through a coworker (who had delicious cake at her child's bar mitzvah!). We did two tastings and thought all of the cakes we tried were moist and flavorful. We got really positive reviews from our guests, and can't wait until the 1 year mark when Rachel will make us a small cake to enjoy! (Also, against everyone's advice, we kept the top tier of our cake and ate it at 6 mo. - it was still just a good as the day of our wedding). My brother will be using Rachel's Cakes at his wedding this May. We cannot recommend more highly! -
Kate Sent on 09/03/2018Rachel made and designed our wedding cake, and she made the whole process a breeze. We loved getting to know Rachel via the tasting in her shop in Burlingame, and she was very easy to communicate with via email. My husband really liked that Rachel's cake wasn't too sweet, and I loved that everything tasted homemade. It was difficult to decide on flavors, but we ended up going with lemon and mocha, and we heard rave reviews from our guests. She also made it easy to rent a sweet cake stand that we loved and matched the vibe of our event perfectly.
I also love that Rachel will gift us a small cake for our first anniversary... very thoughtful, and we will look forward to enjoying it in about a year :) -

Rachel booked another tasting immediately after ours resulting in us being rushed through the entire process. During the consultation, it was apparent that she had not looked at the pinterest board with ideas that we had provided to her prior (there were only 8 cakes pinned) or bothered to research Art Noveau or Mucha despite it being indicated on the form we filled out for her weeks prior that those were our themes. As a result she was unable to support us in coming up with a design idea, and porvided a quickly thought out sketch that was essentially an uncohesive mishmash of the designs I had said I liked. Following the tasting I essentially designed and drew out the cake myself, and sent the update design to see how possible it was. I received an email back saying the proposed idea was doable and promising that I would receive a an estimate back shortly there after. Three months later and we still have not received a quote, let alone any kind of follow up contact.
