STUNNING WORK for our engagement and wedding
Where do I even begin to describe how amazing our experience booking with Rachel was!! Rachel’s work is way beyond any photographer I have ever used in the past. We hired Rachel for our wedding and engagement photos . She really brought every vision to life on what we wanted and had the BEST locations on where to shoot and what time. We did photos in my hometown and I was BLOWN away with the quality and outcome of the pictures. Not only was her work truly amazing, but her communication, her planning and even her vibe when shooting us was nothing to compare to!! You can tell she loves what she does and got to know us as a couple throughout the whole process. We didn’t feel like a number , we truly felt as a photographer she got to know us as a couple and was so adamant about making our engagement and wedding photos exactly what we wanted.
We did an elopement package with Rachel and had a micro wedding in the mountains of Wyoming with 12 people…and let me tell you. SHE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. Our wedding photos could not have been more perfect, again I was blown away that I felt to look back on these perfect photos forever.
Rachel was the one to help chose the ceremony location for our elopement and work with us on our visions. She had endless options for us on different ceremony locations and timeframes and even sent pictures and videos in real time of what the locations would look like before days before the wedding. Rachel went above and beyond and I can’t leave express how much we loved working with her.
If you’re trying to decide on a photographer for any occasion, this is your sign, book right now…..you will be so happy you chose her. Rachel is seriously the best , she has the sweetest soul, she is so fun to work with and I’m happy to say we will be lifetime customers. I can’t say enough positive things about the experience we had with Rachel. -

From the second my husband and I saw Rachel’s work, we were in love with it. The way her style compliments the vibe of The Booking House was absolutely perfect. We first met her at our engagement shoot in Harrisburg where she met us for drinks prior to getting us in front of the camera. This was the first time either of us had been professionally photographed but Rachel made us feel completely at ease and guided us through the entire evening. We simply cannot say enough amazing things about her. She is incredibly responsive, transparent, professional, talented, and a great time. With her, our entire wedding day went smoothly, our sneak peaks were AMAZING, and we cannot wait to see the rest of the magic she worked! -

From the very first meeting with Rachel, we knew she was going to be the perfect fit to photograph our special day. She is so creative and knows exactly what to do and where to go. Trusting her to just do her thing was the best decision ever and made the day go so smoothly, and made the photos even better! I really did not have to think about a single thing when it came to our photos, location, etc. bc I knew she just got it. She was always flexible, responsive and the most patient with the last minute changes we had. Rachel gives off the best vibes and is all around such a great person! We will cherish our photos forever! -

Best decision ever!
It won’t take you long to see through the examples just how talented Rachel is as a photographer, as they say the proof is in the pudding! Photography was my number ONE priority when we started booking vendors- it was/is so important to us to have these memories documented for us to look back on. I met Rachel at the one & only bridal show hosted by the Booking House I was able to go to before Covid shut the world down. We instantly clicked because we found out we had a crazy connection to one another completely by fate. I went to the show with very specific vendors in mind to speak with, however after meeting Rachel & watching how she approached potential clients and just the genuine kindness that radiated off her I quickly started to shift my mind. She was hosting a raffle and typically I don’t ever enter things like that because I NEVER win but yet again fate had different plans because a few days later I was contacted by Rachel & I had won! After setting up my initial meeting with her just to go over basic information it was pretty clear to me that she was going to be the perfect fit for our wedding day. My husband is a very quiet and reserved man- we both are not huge fans of being the center of attention and we NEVER get our photos taken so when choosing vendors I knew we needed people who would be able to capture both of us perfectly exactly as we are (& help guide us through the awkwardness of never being in front of a camera). All of that said- asking Rachel to be our photographer was the absolute BEST decision we could have made. The first time we got to spend time with her was during our engagement shoot & she “got” us right away from our vibe to our humor, everything! It was important to us to have some photos taken in our home with our cat and RIGHT away she became besties with Goose! It didn’t feel like we were having someone new take our photos- it instantly just felt like a few friends hanging out enjoying some laughs and because of that she was able to capture EXACTLY who we are. She is the perfect mixture of fun & professionalism- this gal KNOWS what she's doing and has an amazing talent for making you feel great even if you feel silly. She was our cheerleader throughout the entire planning process- every time we would send little updates to one another she was genuinely excited for us & on the day of the wedding she came right up to me and gave me a big hug(probably realizing that’s exactly what I needed at the moment she’s that intuitive!). She started snapping right away and every moment she had she was checking up on me and my girls making sure if we needed absolutely anything she would make it happen. Again- her work speaks for itself, she has a gift & we are lucky she is sharing it with us all. Everyone, my husband and I especially, are blown away by what we’ve seen so far, it takes a lot for me to look at a picture of myself and think I’m beautiful but Rachel helped make that happen. For anyone considering working with Rachel for any reason- I tell you to JUMP at the opportunity because you not only will receive amazing results- you’ll get the most wonderful friend as well. Planning your wedding should not be stressful and you should be oozing happiness on your day and I believe the BEST way to accomplish that is by surrounding yourself with GOOD people & Rachel is 100000000000%+ that! Thank you Rachel from the bottom of our hearts! We cannot WAIT to work together again!! oxox -

Rachel’s work is absolutely incredible! Her unique photography style was what we drew us to her in the first place but we never could have imagined how perfectly she captured our day. In addition, she was a pleasure to work with and answered all of my MANY questions. One of my biggest asks was to take pictures ahead of time so we could enjoy our family and friends at the wedding. Rachel not only made that happen, but also unobtrusively captured some of the most unique and evocative pictures we could ever hope for! We cannot wait to work with Rachel again in the future! -

We had Rachel photograph our wedding in October. She also did an engagement session for us & my boudoir shoot. I feel like we’ve been friends forever after just those three sessions. With the pandemic going on she was supportive in any decision we wanted to make. She was super easy to work with and made being in front of the camera a breeze (esp. for my husband, who’d rather not take pictures). Her talent comes naturally. We would totally recommend her for any occasion. -

Run to Book Rachel - you need her!!!
I knew from the moment I spoke with Rachel that she was the perfect photographer for our wedding. In fact, we scheduled our wedding around her availability. And then COVID hit - Rachel was terrific to work with through the canceling of our first wedding date and rescheduling. She ensured us that everything would be ok and she would make it work no matter when we rescheduled. She took time to check in with us through the difficult months of waiting for our second date to arrive always assuring us that she was there for us and asking if there was anything she could do to help.
There are simply no words to express our gratitude for Rachel and her showcasing her artistic talent in capturing our special day. She made the entire day impeccable capturing unforgettable moments. She helped us in anyway she could to keep our day running smoothly allowing us to simply enjoy the day, taking on many roles when she felt it necessary, all the while keeping a low profile.
Our wedding day is over and the excitement of the day is fading but we will always be reminded of how special our day was as Rachel captured those unbelievable moments. With her bubbly personality she did what she needed to do capturing every special moment, her services did not keep our guest waiting, and she went out of her way to capture moments with family that were unable to join the wedding party due to COVID, .

5 stars aren't enough for Rachel! She photographed our elopement in Wyoming and she was the BEST DECISION we made. She went above and beyond for my husband and I. She had sent us SO many location options for our ceremony, first look, portrait shots etc. She was there for us and quick to answer any questions I had (and I had a lot). Our parents came along for the elopement and they could not stop talking about how wonderful her and her sister in law (2nd shooter) were. The pictures turned out AMAZING - and we had sneak peaks in less than 24 hrs! Our wedding day was a dream come true, and it 1000000% could not have happened without Rachel. -

Rachel is a rock star
Rachel is the crème de la crème! Hiring her as our engagement & wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we have ever made. Not only is Rachel's work stunning, but throughout the whole process, she treats you more like a friend than a client. She displays professionalism while remaining "down to earth" putting myself, my husband, and our whole wedding party at ease. We are absolutely in-love with all the photos Rachel captured at our wedding. When I look at them, I remember exactly how I was feeling in that very moment. Rachel Rocks
I knew I wanted to hire Rachel as soon as I clicked on her Instagram. Her pictures are absolutely stunning, and capture that moodiness my fiancé and I were looking for. I told her straight up that I am in no way a model and awkward as hell in front of the camera. She hung out with us before our engagement session and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed - I actually had a ton of fun, when before I had been dreading it. On our wedding day she was able to easily wrangle up our 16 person bridal party and still manage to capture unbelievable photos. My friends loved her, my mom hasn’t stopped raving about her, and my husband and I feel lucky enough to now call her a friend. I can be a bit indecisive, but there was no questioning my decision to book Rachel. If you’re thinking about it, do it. -

Rachel is absolutely amazing! My husband hates getting his picture taken, but Rachel was so down to earth and made the whole thing so easy and comfortable! Throughout the entire process, she always responded timely to any questions and Rachel made sure to get little details of the wedding that were most important. On the day of the wedding, she was helpful, cheerful and made taking photos stress free! My husband and I are beyond thrilled about our pictures! We highly recommend! There isn’t a better photographer around! -

Could not have had a better experience!
Not only is Rachel an extremely talented and creative photographer, but a beautiful person inside and out. She is so wonderful to work with and will go out of her way to take stress off of her clients. Booking Rachel for our wedding was the best decision we made throughout the entire planning process. She was always easy to get ahold of, willing to give suggestions/advice, and treats every client like a close friend. I would 110% recommend Rachel every time. -

Where to start but that this beautiful, talented photographer helped in more than one way to make our wedding the best day ever. I found Rachel through social media, Instagram and I knew right away that I would do anything to have her be part of our special day. I loved her style, my gut said message her, tell her you want to use her, like no questions asked. We clicked right away! We booked her and I could not be happier with that decision. RACHEL GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND! She knows what she is doing, her talent shows in every picture she takes and even though she has done a million & one weddings at The Booking House, she found new places to capture some beautiful photos. She cares about her clients, she went out of her way to message me (as snow started to fall for rehearsal) knowing I took care of my girls, for the cold weather, to ask me if I took care of myself. She brought me her hunter boots to wear so that I could truck through the snow for pictures! And the next day she took her OWN BOOTS OFF for another bride!!! She is my dearest friend now, I felt such at peace the day of the wedding knowing she had my back and wanted nothing but for this day, our wedding day to go perfect! BEST PHOTOGRAPHER EVER!! If you are looking for someone that is laid back, but takes control and creates beautiful photos, Rachel is your girl! I don't even know where to begin with how impressed I was with her. She went above and beyond for our engagement photos & wedding photos and I couldn't be happier! I mentioned to her that I would love a flower crown (Eucalyptus crown) for our engagement photos and she got the items and created one herself for me! Our wedding day was very unique and had torrential down pours, but she was there for me - not only as a photographer, but as someone that was able to keep me calm when I was clearly upset about all of the rain. She would place us where it was dry and she, herself, would be in the rain to get some AMAZING shots!! Every single person commented about how beautiful our photos were! I can't even imagine my wedding day without her there!!! Not only did all of my wedding party love her, but so did ALL of my vendors! She is so easy to work with and makes things so fun! -

From the first meeting, which had the potential to be super awkward but wasn't; to the engagement shoot, where she put up with our anxious dog and got fantastic shots despite our uneasiness in front of the camera; to the wedding, where she provided a calm presence, yet was authoritative when she needed to direct the show. I highly recommend Rachel Ruhl Photography for any event where you want your personal, unique story to be captured. Amanda Sent on 05/20/2018I can not say enough good things about Rachel. My husband, bridal party, family and friends all LOVED working with her. We received nothing but compliments and our photos are stunning. When we were searching for our vendor team, we were introduced to Rachel by her sister-in-law, Vanessa, with Monark Films. I met with Vanessa and Rachel for a meet and greet at a coffee shop and easily fell in love with them. They are confident in their abilities, they are detail-oriented, the price is so reasonable and their work is second to none. For our engagement photo session, our photos were weather-dependent. We wanted an outdoor, winter wonderland shoot. Rachel was amazing! Checking the weather consistently and being extremely flexible to meet us. We finally found a snowy day and met at a local ski resort. She was so hands on, had amazing ideas and was willing to get "down and dirty" in the snow/mud to ensure no branch was out of place. To have a stranger care so much about capturing your personalities and love... is so special. On our wedding day Rachel was everywhere at once. She did not miss a moment. We are so thankful we found her and so happy with our photos.

You won't find a photographer this good anywhere for this price... did I mention I didn't have to pay for the rights to all the photographs! Rachel even sent all the photos on a flash drive, made them available online, AND printed some of her favorites out and sent them my way with a hand written card. I will always go to Rachel Ruhl Photography for family and couple pictures.

My husband isn’t the photo type and he said he enjoyed taking the photos with Rachel and her second shooter Vanessa. She got photos I didn’t know were being taken and we had fun on the ones that we knew of. She was up for taking a gator ride to go off site and then go get a few picture with our fur baby, you can’t get it much better than that. When a few friends say they wish they had your photographer you know you made the right decision ��
