After months of research, we ultimately chose RBE based on our initial positive impressions from a meeting and all of the extremely positive reviews. I can now confirm that those reviews are 100% accurate and truthful in their praise of RBE services!
We worked with Lizzie Torrance for our Williamsburg Wedding at Misi Restaurant in April, and can't recommend her and RBE enough. Like our wedding was literally 2 days ago and we couldn't wait to write this review. Lizzie is the ultimate professional, handling everything timely, seamlessly, and calmly - literally all the things you want AND need during this time. RBE had a very comprehensive set of tools and resources for the planning process, and sent just the right amount of reminders and recaps to keep us on track without being overwhelming. She coordinated and communicated with vendors and was super adept at filtering to us only what we needed to weigh in on. On the day, Lizzie and the RBE team were on it, managing the people, multiple venues, timeline, and all the behind-the-scenes details we probably didn't even know were happening so that we didn't have to think or worry about anything. If you want 100% confidence that your wedding will run perfectly, then ya gotta go with Lizzie and RBE. -

Rachel Behar is THE BEST!!! I truly can’t put into words how incredible it was to have Rachel and her team as my wedding planner—I wouldn’t change a single thing about our experience...it was PERFECT!! Even though Rachel has been in the business for years, she made me feel like I was her only client. From day one, she was always three steps ahead. So organized, quick to answer every question, and if she didn’t have the answer, she found out immediately.
She was open to all of my ideas while also bringing her own creative vision, which made our wedding feel so unique, and truly “us.” She was always willing to try something new instead of repeating the same formula, which made our day feel special and personalized. Each month she kept us on track with updates, reminders, and clear timelines, making the whole process stress-free. And speaking of stress-free...day of our wedding, I didn't have a worry in sight. I stress about everything, but she allowed me to stay in the moment, not worry about anything, and everything was taken care of.
Beyond being an amazing planner, Rachel became a true friend. I’ve seen planners who are harsh or overly strict, but Rachel led with kindness and confidence—she got everything done without ever being intimidating. Every vendor who had worked with her before had glowing things to say; whenever I mentioned her name, the response was always, “You’re in the best hands.” And they were absolutely right.

We worked with Lizzie at RBE for our October wedding and cannot recommend her enough! Over the past year, Lizzie went above and beyond to bring our vision to life and to create a weekend that felt so us and so perfect in every way. Months later, we still receive compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We truly couldn’t have done it without Lizzie’s professionalism, organization, kindness, and support!
From the start, Lizzie really took the time to understand what we were looking for in our wedding and was patient, flexible, and responsive. She introduced us to incredible vendors that she and the RBE team have strong relationships with, while also going out of her way to find new and different options to ensure that every aspect of our wedding perfectly fit our vision. In a place like New York where the options can feel endless and intimidating, Lizzie made the process feel so much more manageable and smooth.

Where do I begin!
To say that this was a perfect experience would be an understatement. My wife and I were recently married at the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan (11/7/2025). When we started planning our wedding, we were actually reluctant to use a wedding planner because the both of us plan larger workshops and events for a living. We however quickly realized that we were absolutely in need a planner simply due to the fact that we wanted the night to be perfect and there were so many things that kept coming up that we did not consider.
Enter Rachel Behar Events!
We interviewed quite a few wedding planners and selected this company and we literally could not be happier with how the ENTIRE wedding was planned. Lizzie Torrence was our planner and she was absolutely amazing. I have never seen someone so amazing with literally EVERY detail. She was kind, patient, responsive, full of ideas and just an overall joy to work with. We couldn't imagine working with anyone else and we knew from the beginning that our wedding was in the best of hands from start to finish with Lizzie and RBE.”

I could write an entire book about the ways RBE and Lizzie impacted by wedding day but the bottom line is that you MUST hire RBE (& Lizzie specifically!) if you want your wedding to be flawless. From the moment I had my introductory call with the RBE team I felt supported by their energy & professionalism and overtime, those same qualities also expanded into genuine friendship and joy as well. Lizzie was always so responsive/communicative, eager to share her professional opinion, a wealth of knowledge, and always had my back. She knew what I was looking for with each and every vendor and she didn't rest until she helped me achieve every one of my ideas! She was fiercely loyal throughout the entire planning process and kept us all organized so that we never felt overwhelmed or behind or stressed. All of the meticulous planning led up to the big day and her presence was key for my positive outlook and even guests were commenting to me about how fabulous and professional she was. It was so apparent to us all that she was born to be a wedding planner and she is AMAZING at it. I don't know what I would've done without her through the entire process and I already miss our frequent check-ins! We had a fantastic experience working with Lizzie for our wedding. She was extremely organized throughout the entire process, and made planning feel manageable and streamlined. After the wedding, so many people complimented us on how smoothly everything went, and all credit for that goes to Lizzie.
Lizzie's calm presence was really nice to have. She was great to have around on the day of the wedding. She handled logistics smoothly and kept everything running on schedule without ever making anything feel rushed.
We also appreciated how she advocated for our preferences in vendor meetings and ensured our vision was reflected. Her vendor recommendations were great; we ended up hiring several people she connected us with and were very happy with each of them.

If Rachel is available for your wedding or event, thank your lucky stars and hire her immediately!
I met with a few planners before choosing Rachel. I could just tell she had that cool, calm, and collected energy you want in a planner, with the added bonus of a sense of humor and a willingness to help in any way she could.
She was beyond organized which I loved, and she was available via text or email pretty much instantaneously, which I think is pretty rare.
Rachel would ask us thoughtful questions about what we wanted for each aspect of our wedding, and then would reach out to vendors, discuss our wedding with them, and present them to us. Looking back, the vendors she guided us to all came together perfectly and matched our vibe. She was also open to reaching out to and working with a new vendor or two that I wanted.
On the day of, Rachel brought along Lizzie (who we also adore!) + more of her team, and they all ensured our day was flawless.
We will truly miss working with Rachel! If you're looking for someone you can trust to knock it out of the park and provide a stress free experience, Rachel is it, hands down. -

Rachel and Lizzie are absolutely phenomenal event planners! I cannot recommend them enough to anyone planning an event—whether it's an intimate gathering or a full-scale wedding weekend. Hiring Rachel was without a doubt the BEST decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. I truly don’t know how anyone plans a wedding without her. I knew from the minute we met that she was exactly what we needed. Rachel made everything feel seamless, stress-free, and even fun. She was always ten steps ahead, thinking through every detail, offering solutions before problems even arose, and ensuring our day was absolutely perfect. We were so blown away by how incredible she was during the wedding planning process that we hired her to help with the rehearsal dinner as well! Having Rachel involved made us feel so confident in what we were doing, knowing her and her team had it handled.
Beyond her impeccable organization, Rachel's relationships with her vendors made all the difference. I don't even know where to start - but what I'll say is that our dream wedding would not have been possible without the RBE team. I'm a pretty type A person, and initially doubted whether I even needed a planner. But looking back on everything that went into planning my wedding, I know I could not have done it without Lizzie and Rachel. Lizzie was by our side since the beginning, helping me (not a creative person) bring my creative vision to life, and taking all the work - that really started to pile up at the end - off my plate. Wedding planning is an incredibly stressful process, but the organization, industry knowledge, and most of all, calm/friendly/positive demeanor that Lizzie always had allowed me to push past the stress and enjoy the time for what it was. She was always accessible when we had questions and gave us the honest advice we often needed. I always felt like her priority was making our wedding as amazing as possible.
Meanwhile, Rachel supported us on our actual wedding day, and I can't express how helpful and calming her presence was. My only regret is not having her there at my rehearsal dinner! I was able to fully focus on being present for my special day because I was confident I could trust her to get everything done on time and extremely well, and she delivered! My friends were truly astounded at how smoothly and timely the whole day went. Rach, you made sure everything went off without a hitch, with a positive attitude the entire time.
Simply put, the RBE team are kind, supportive, organized, understanding, talented, and really, truly there for you. They feel more like friends than vendors, but manage to balance that with hard work that you can see the results of. You can trust that they will do everything in their power to make your day perfect. I couldn't recommend them enough!! -

Lizzie jumped in as our wedding planner midway through the planning process and didn’t miss a beat! She made every part of the process so seamless. She really took the time to get to know us and our style/preferences and recommended vendors that fit our needs perfectly. It was so nice to have a roadmap and to be able to focus on the big picture, knowing that all of the little details were being taken care of. The day of our wedding was totally stress-free and executed perfectly so that we were able to enjoy our time with loved ones. We didn’t even find out until after the event that our pizza order for the after-party had been cancelled! Lizzie somehow made sure it still showed up as expected.

It's hard to put into words is how absolutely wonderful my daughter's entire wedding weekend was and how much I appreciate everything Rachel did to make it exactly what both my daughter and her fiance and my husband and I wanted. She even made sure the weather cooperated. :)!
There was not one detail that was overlooked. Rachel worked seamlessly running interference between all of us and somehow made it look easy. Every vendor she recommended and the kids chose turned out to be great.
The number of complementary emails, texts and phone calls that I received saying how beautiful and warm and fun the weekend was is overwhelming and almost everyone I’ve spoken to mentioned how great they thought Rachel was too.

We had the pleasure of working with Rachel Behar as our wedding planner, and we could not be more thrilled with the experience she provided. From the onset, Rachel demonstrated exceptional organization and communication skills. She is a spreadsheet queen, which helped us stay organized and keep track of everything from guest lists, to the day of timeline, and our budget. She was not only attentive to our needs but showed incredible thoughtfulness towards our loved ones. For example, she made sure my grandmother's wheelchair was positioned perfectly so she could fully enjoy and participate in my father's speech and then made sure to pack her a goodie bag of desserts when she needed to retire early in the night.

Where do I begin with Rachel and her team? We hired Rachel after meeting with 6-7 other event planners, and knew immediately she was for us because of her "yes" attitude. The wedding planning process is daunting - she was truly our compass, and never made us feel anything was out of reach (even though we had a budget and short engagement of 6 months). Working with Rachel is like working with the world's best project manager with incredible connections and relationships and great taste. I cannot begin to explain how wonderful Rachel Behar and her team are. I came to Rachel after my first planner ghosted me. I had my venue and caterer booked, both of which Rachel knew well, which was helpful. Rachel's network of quality vendors is impressive. My now husband and I got engaged six months before our wedding date, and at no point did I ever feel that I was settling with a vendor due to lack of options. In addition, she and her team took on a lot of communication with my vendors on my behalf, lightening my load of things I needed to figure out for our wedding.
In addition to her amazing resources, Rachel and her team are extremely organized and provided a lot of structure (Google docs, 'one month to do's', etc) in the planning process. She and her team were also always available to answer any questions I had throughout the planning process, and were very helpful with their recommendations on items I needed to source for the wedding (via Etsy, Amazon, etc). There wasn't a question I had that Rachel didn't have an answer for.
Sadly, I lost my father to cancer two months before my wedding. Rachel and her team were the first ones to send flowers with their condolences, and Rachel reached out saying she was there for anything I needed- a break from planning, a 'to do' list to work on to serve as a welcomed distraction, anything. Words cannot express how much my family and I appreciated her support during such a trying time.
Lastly, Rachel and her team excel at taking on a challenge. In addition to our short timeline to plan, I wanted to have a Persian wedding- with it's own unique ceremony & traditions. Even though she had never planned a Persian wedding before, she and her team rose to the challenge, and she helped source wonderful vendors (even finding a Persian officiant all the was from Paris, France!) for our big day.
I can wholeheartedly say that our wedding day was as wonderful as it was because of Rachel Behar Events -

Each and every moment of working with Rachel during our two year engagement was perfect. There was nothing about the planning process that was even remotely stressful and we are still amazed by Rachel's ability to tackle so many moving pieces with such calm and grace. It was incredibly relieving to feel like Rachel was always one step ahead of us, 100% reliable, and always responsive. She also helped us source the best of the best in the industry and we loved having a mostly Brooklyn based team of vendors - everyone was so easy to work with and made the day so special.
Besides Rachel's calm disposition, kick ass organization, and unreal industry knowledge, what we appreciated the most was her advice giving/withholding. How can I begin to talk about how incredible Rachel is?? From the minute we hired RBE, my husband and I (and our families) felt like we were in the best hands. The vendors she connected us with were all fantastic, and she was on board to help us realize our big, bold, colorful vision. We never felt stressed or anxious about ANYTHING, and I was able to fully enjoy my wedding day (8/26/23). I can’t say enough good things about Rachel and her team - they made our dream wedding come to life and it was better than we could have even imagined!!! From the very beginning, Rachel asked all the right questions to get to know us and our style and she helped us pick vendors that fit exactly what we wanted. She was always so patient with us and never pressured us into making any decisions that we didn’t want, always reminding us that it was our wedding and we could pretty much do it however we wanted! I asked for her opinion many times along the way, for everything from style to logistics, and she always gave us honest answers to help us make the best decisions for our wedding. Rachel and her team really shined when it was finally time for our wedding weekend - all of our guests stayed on site for the weekend and Rachel and her team were there the whole time. When I say that everything went perfectly… WOW!! It was true magic. She made sure that we didn’t need to lift a finger or worry about anything so that we could enjoy every moment of it. It was the best weekend of our lives and if I did it all over, I would 100000% work with Rachel again. -

My husband and I couldn't recommend Rachel and her team more!! Not only is Rachel an absolute expert in wedding planning, she is also kind, warm, and a delight to work with. A true "calm in the chaos" energy. Rachel takes all the stress and guess work out of planning your wedding (my favorite part was the monthly to-do lists!) and you can feel confident that you're in the best hands right through the day of your wedding. Rachel's teammate Lizzie was our day-of coordinator and she was on top of things from the moment we got to the hotel the afternoon before our wedding. We were able to sit back and enjoy the festivities all weekend without a second thought. The wedding of our dreams was everything and more and we couldn't have done it without Rachel and RBE!
After initially being hesitant about hiring a wedding planner, I know now that it was needed and the perfect decision for us! Rachel is amazing and was so helpful throughout the day from just chatting like it was a normal day (which I needed) to helping us remember to eat, hydrate, and reapply lipstick! We couldn't have done it without her!! Throughout the day and leading up to the day, we knew everything was taken care of because we had Rachel on our team. Our parents felt as calm as possible because they knew Rachel was there. Rachel worked with our venue and all of our vendors effortlessly to create a beautiful and intimate wedding. From day 1 of planning to day 365, Rachel recommended amazing vendors and coordinated so many details behind the scenes that EVERYTHING was thought and taken care of.
My husband, who's a strong introvert and homebody, said so many wonderful things about the day, planning, Rachel, Brette, RBE, and our vendors! We both felt comfortable and confident in Rachel so that we could be present and enjoy the day. Everyone helped make what can be so overwhelming and stressful, comfortable and incredible!! Rachel's attention to detail, caring nature, style, and energy was exactly what we needed and were so grateful. On high emotion days like a wedding, having someone fully dedicated to the success of your event is necessary and Rachel/RBE are perfect for that!

The best decision we made in planning our wedding hands down was hiring Rachel and RBE. My husband and I both agree that our absolute dream wedding would never have been possible without Rachel’s care, expertise, organization, network of vendors, and professionalism.
People cannot stop raving about how special our wedding was and the first thing we say is, “Thanks, we had the BEST planner, Rachel.”
We had a very atypical wedding that required a lot of thought, sensitivity, logistics, and creativity. Plus, as a Type-A, creative person, I had a lot of ideas that Rachel totally embraced and made happen. Two different bands playing harmoniously together? Not only was it not a problem, Rachel knew the most talented team to make it a seamless musical experience that had the dance floor(s) going all night. My amateur sketch of wild flowers hanging from the ceiling turned into the most enchanting wedding decor? She knew the best people to execute it (and beyond!) that literally had us and our guests feel like we were living in a dream. A USPS mailbox brought in for our guestbook activation? She not only sourced it, she literally went and picked it up herself.
It is also worth mentioning that Rachel is probably one of the nicest, loveliest people you will ever meet. She is so responsive and so on top of things I often told her I couldn’t believe she was also planning other weddings at the same time—that is how attentive and cared for she makes you feel. And it isn’t just “feel”—she genuinely cares about the couples she works with, creating a bespoke wedding for them, and making sure their days go perfectly. Throughout the wedding planning process and day of, we felt so at ease because Rachel was always one step ahead of us and on top of every last detail.

No words can adequately describe how incredible Rachel made our wedding (and the 20+ months leading up to it). We had a dream of hosting a colorful, warm, crazy fun NYC wedding, and she helped us make it a reality -- complete with the best music, the most colorful florals and rentals, stacks of NY style pizzas at our afterparty and a Mr. Softee truck for dessert! (among so many other things)
Her knowledge + connections to the NYC wedding vendor community ensured that we hired only the best vendors (who ALL were incredible, every single one!), and her amazing organizational skills kept us calm and on track the entire time. (Seriously... the Google doc for this wedding was nuts). Rachel even found us a really niche type of musician for a very specific part of the Jewish ceremony and it ended up being a highlight of the night.
On the day of the wedding, Rachel was the absolute MVP. She somehow found earplugs for my dad who dislikes loud music (no idea where she got them) and patched me up when I fell and cut my knee by producing bandaids from her emergency bag. She helped me apply and re-apply boob tape so my dress would stay up, and she even dressed in our wedding colors to match the decor!!! And I know there are a ZILLION other things she did behind the scenes to make everything perfect that we don't even know about. It all added up to what was truly the best night of our lives. Truly! There aren't enough words to explain a) how incredible Rachel is at her job, and b) how immensely grateful we are to have worked with her and RBE on our wedding!!! Simply put: Our wedding would not have been possible (nor would it have been the same) without Rachel.
From the first time Rachel and I spoke, I got such a good feeling from her, and also a clear sense for just how much care and effort RBE puts into each and every one their events. We knew the planning of our wedding was going to be a bit more involved and complex than most - we wanted to put on an 150-person, multi-tented wedding in the backyard of my childhood home. Rachel never once shied away from the many steps and hurdles that had to happen between the initial ideation and final execution.
If it's not already obvious from, well, every other review: Rachel is the ULTIMATE event planner. Smart, thoughtful, caring, detail-oriented, organized (this was key for me), super creative, a much-needed calming presence when things got crazy... all of it applies! And her team members who were with us day-of - Brette and Anabel - were so lovely and helpful in their own right.
Rachel's industry connections are a huge asset, made even better by her ability to really get at and understand precisely what we were looking for. We felt like all of the vendors she sourced for us were both the best at what they do AND the right people/companies to help realize our vision cohesively and expertly.

Rachel Behar is, without a doubt, the VERY BEST wedding planner on the New York wedding scene today. I planned my daughter’s Brooklyn, NY wedding from Miami, and with Rachel on the ground in NY, the entire process was seamless and ultimately resulted in the most extraordinary night of our families’ lives.
Rachel has amazing relationships with outstanding vendors, and she helped us assemble a team that delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the creative menu (Marcey Brownstein Caterer) to the magnificent florals (Ivie Joy), to site visits and venue suggestions for the entire weekend of events and right down to the Mr. Softee ice cream truck that showed up at the end of the wedding, Rachel always knew what to do and who to call and when.
Throughout the planning process, and even more importantly, on the day of the actual wedding , Rachel anticipated every need and instantly filled any need (which were few) that we did not expect to have. The entire weekend and week before went smoothly and was stress-free. Rachel and the entire RBE team are fantastic and we would ABSOLUTELY recommend working with RBE for your wedding or any other big events. We hired RBE 7 months before our NYC wedding and she helped us craft an amazing event in a short period of time.
Rachel consistently struck the perfect balance in letting us drive the vision of our wedding for areas where we had one, and providing ideas and direction when we did not. Rachel responded to even our craziest ideas with interest and dedication to find a way to make them work, and throughout the process we felt that Rachel was hands-on and personally invested in the success of our wedding.
Rachel has personal relationships with excellent vendors in the NYC area who are affordable and easy to work with, which is in part thanks to Rachel’s prior experience working across different parts of the industry that gives her a unique “end-to-end” understanding of what it takes to put on an event.
Planning a wedding is stressful, but Rachel mitigated that stress as much as possible, including stepping up and making sure everything was in place on the day of. One highlight that shows Rachel’s dedication: part of our vision was to have an ice cream truck arrive at our rehearsal dinner venue in a busy part of Brooklyn, but there was no dedicated parking lot or space for the truck to park. Early in the process, Rachel proactively researched the rules and logistics for our desired plan, and then she went in-person to city hall herself to pickup a permit for the ice cream truck. On the day of the event, Rachel stationed herself in the intended spot and fended off cars, sweet talked the local cops, and made sure our ice cream truck could show up without any issues.

My number one tip for any couple planning a wedding - or anyone planning an event - is to hire Rachel Behar Events. Hiring Rachel and her team to plan our wedding was the single best decision my husband and I made throughout the planning process. Before we hired Rachel, we were stressed, disorganized and unsure if we’d be able to pull off *any* wedding at all. With Rachel’s help, we had the wedding weekend of our dreams (we heard from several guests that it was the best wedding they had been to!), and the planning process was organized, calm and fun (which I honestly hadn’t thought would be possible before!). Rachel asks couples to brainstorm what their perfect wedding day would look like - I just looked back at my response, and Rachel helped us incorporate every *single* aspect of our dream day.
Rachel has fabulous vendor relationships - through her connections, we landed amazing caterers, florists, bands, hair and makeup, photography, lighting and day of stationery, all on short notice, in 2022 of all years - yet she was always an advocate for us above all, landing us an amazing deal on an absolutely jaw dropping hotel suite, negotiating savvily on our behalf, and advising where made sense to spend vs save. Our wedding guests raved about the food, florals, band and stationary at our wedding and honestly - we would never have been able to find or book them without Rachel’s help. She’s a true professional and knows the best vendors in the business.
Furthermore, Rachel is extremely organized and responsive. We had literally countless emails and texts between us and Rachel on about every wedding-related topic you can imagine, and she responded to each promptly, calmly and helpfully. She’s also an absolute joy to work with - friendly, funny and positive - and relieved all of our wedding related stresses and concerns with her insightful and thoughtful advice, checklists and check-ins.
I’m completely Type A, and it’s a true testament to her skill and talent that on the day of my wedding, I handed Rachel my phone and let her and her team handle all of the logistics - and the day went flawlessly.
We can’t wait to work with Rachel again - my husband and I are already trying to brainstorm an excuse to throw another party with Rachel Behar Events!!

RBE is incredible
We originally chose Rachel in part because of her familiarity with the venue and area (she got married in same hotel). We were a little nervous since she had only more recently started her business vs some more established planners we spoke to, but it became apparent very quickly that we made a good decision. She certainly brought that experience from her own wedding at the space, but also so much more to the table.
She was punctual, organized, quick to respond - always open-minded and positive, but also thoughtful in sharing feedback where important/helpful. She had potential vendors whenever we needed suggestions, but I never felt like she pushed vendors on us in instances where we wanted to go another direction (floral, invitations). She also worked well with anyone we chose.
For our process, I was more involved than I needed to be as I'm nitpicky. However, I got the sense that RBE will cater to whatever direction the couple prefers. If you need more handholding/would like to fully outsource, she will be more than capable and will execute. If you want to be more involved, she will let you drive whenever you want/need, and step in to remind you of deadlines or details, gently, when you forget.
Ultimately, I was shocked at how much I let go of in this process and on the day - and more importantly, how easy it was to let go. Means that I really trusted her and her team. In the very few times I was stressed about something day-of, I would turn around and one of either her or Heather was there to answer a question or to find someone. I'm sure so much more happened behind the scenes that I didn't see, but what I could see was seamless. I also somehow never felt hurried or bothered - such is her demeanor as a person. Organized/in-control/positive/kind - never anxious/rushed/negative...which is really important on a long and busy day. Emotions can be contagious and I felt like she only spread the right ones! You can't go wrong working with Rachel - and if anything ever feels like it is, just tell her and she'll figure it out with you. There were definitely things outside of our control in this process and I felt more comfortable navigating them with her by my side.
