Custom professional service with warmth and care

Rabbi Winer helped create the most extraordinary day! He took the time to meet with us beforehand and get to know exactly what we were looking for, as well as getting to know us, to tailor our wedding perfectly. With his decades of experience, he was able to make suggestions and create a service we didn't even dream could go so well. He has kept in contact offering advice and counselling to ensure our marriage is only growing stronger. His wife Lorraine even took part in our wedding as a cantor and helped brighten our day! Our guests have not stopped raving about him even over a year later. Thank you Rabbi Winer for such an amazing ceremony!!!

The most magical ceremony

Everything was perfect!

Rabbi Winer is kind, methodical, and charismatic. In the meetings we had leading up to the wedding he served as our trusted advisor and guide through the marriage process. He helped us customize our ceremony so it felt most like us while still representing traditional reform wedding customs. He was encouraging and supportive when it came to us writing our vows, and in the end our ceremony was absolutely perfect. His wife was our Kantor and she had a beautiful voice. Rabbi Winer was able to get to know us well in a short time and it really showed in his sermon. There was not a single dry eye in the room or on zoom. We are so lucky to have found both him and his wife for our wedding. If you want a wedding ceremony filled with love and laughter and beautiful harmony look no further than Rabbi Winer.

Amazing Officiant!

When meeting with Rabbi Winer over the phone it was such a humble experience! He is a very down to earth individual. When it came time for the ceremony he did a wonderful job explaining the Jewish traditions and translating the Hebrew portions into English for everyone to understand. Our guests loved the ceremony and how well it flowed and it never seemed boring. I would absolutely recommend having Rabbi Winer officiate your wedding!

Beautiful Wedding

Rabbi Winer was great to work with. He co-officiated our wedding with a Reverend and was collaborative to include elements from Judaism and Christianity. Rabbi Winer was very responsive to communications before the wedding and had many phone calls with us to discuss ceremony options and planning and was supportive to us. Wonderful and Dedicated Rabbi

Rabbi Winer was wonderful to work with from the very start. My wife and I are both medical students with very busy schedules, and our wedding plans changed multiple times due to venue cancellations and pandemic concerns. Through all of the uncertainty and difficult schedules, Rabbi Winer was flexible, understanding, and supportive of our individual needs as well as our needs as an interfaith couple. We always looked forward to our pre-wedding meetings with him and we would recommend Rabbi Winer over and over again.

Simply wonderful

Rabbi Winer officiated our interfaith ceremony beside Father Oneto. They are friends and colleagues in faith leadership and their respect and care for each other was apparent to all who attended our ceremony. They truly made everything so special and every last person in the room felt welcome. If you're looking for a Boston rabbi, look no further. Rabbi Winer is truly incredible, and aside from being an excellent rabbi, he's also an excellent comedian with the sharpest wit in the room.

Beautiful Personalized Ceremony

Rabbi Weiner, with the assistance of his wife Lori, conducted a beautiful wedding, seamlessly incorporating traditional Jewish rituals with personal requests that brought us the heartfelt clerical reunion in front of family and friends we had dreamed of. We celebrated a joyous, rabbinically blessed celebration. Rabbi Weiner’s pre-nuptial talks were easy yet spirited conversations that resulted in a very intimate and relaxed ceremonial consecration. My wife and I both felt we were very blessed to have had Rabbi Weiner officiate at our wedding.

His communication and organization helped us during all the chaos of wedding planning. He was welcoming and educational and answered every question with a smile.

The Perfect Ceremony

We didn't have an easy ask - I'm Jewish, my husband is not, I'm American, my husband is English - our guests literally came from around the world. Rabbi Winer was able to craft the perfect ceremony that spoke to us as a couple, our individual roots and also made everyone there feel included and valued. He was extremely attentive and kind, and took a lot of time to get to know us and brought such deep knowledge of the marriage ritual and process. We couldn't have been in better hands, enjoyed the process with him to the full and are beyond happy with our special day. If we could do it again, we'd have Rabbi Winer there every time! We will be forever grateful to him and highly recommend him for anyone looking for a rabbi to officiate their wedding.

My Wife and I have nothing but amazing thoughts of how the ceremony was.

Rabbi Winer was awesome to work with. In preparation for the ceremony over zoom, he was informative and made us feel comfortable. He was also very funny which helps during a stressful time leading up to wedding day!

Rabbi Winer and Father Alex were a wonderful duo for our interfaith ceremony. They are longtime friends with a great rapport who had worked together several times before. They crafted a unique ceremony that made us feel special that we will never forget!

Wonderful ceremony

My husband and I had our wedding on 6/20/21 with Rabbi Winer. It was wonderful working with him pre-wedding, he really got to know us as we got to know him. He really helped us go through the ceremony piece by piece to help us decide what we wanted it to look like, then took that and tailored it to perfectly fit my husband and I. All of our guests thought the ceremony was so beautiful.

More than a Rabbi

Rabbi Winer took the time to get to know us over several meetings. He also worked with my fiance on completing his conversion to Judaism. Rabbi Winer was professional, with a wonderful sense of humor. Our ceremony was very special because of his personal touches. Covid wedding

Rabbi Weiner really took the time to get to know both my fiancé (now wife) and I and made our ceremony feel special, unique, and specific to us. He was very willing and able to deal with us during Covid, us being out of state, and an interfaith couple. He's the best.

We worked with Rabbi Winer during our wedding which, due to COVID, went from a 150-person affair to a small event by the ocean with just our immediate families. He was so patient, accommodating, and so so kind. The ceremony was beautiful and meaningful, and everyone had a great time. He's also the perfect mix of hilarious and sentimental. We couldn't have asked for a better person to officiate our wedding for us!

Beautiful ceremony

Rabbi Winer was great to work with from the start and put together an absolutely beautiful ceremony. After we booked our venue in Waitsfield, VT - we quickly realized that it was the longest day of the year.. on a Saturday.. which was going to make it difficult to find a rabbi to marry us. From the first time speaking with Rabbi Winer he put our minds at ease that he was willing to travel, accepting of our interfaith marriage, and would perform the ceremony as long as we signed our Ketubah after sun down. We wanted religion in our ceremony and it was so great that Rabbi Winer was open and accepting of us.

During our meetings and discussions before the wedding he really took the time to get to know us. This showed in the ceremony and added so much warmth. He recommended the circling of the groom, the 7 blessings, and blending of the wines as a symbol of our blended families. The ceremony was absolutely wonderful thanks to Rabbi Winer and his warm outgoing style. We could not be more grateful.

Truly remarkable man

Rabbi Winer was an enormous reason our wedding was so special. He is a remarkable man and because we got to know each other before the ceremony everything was personalized and truly special. If anyone is looking for a Rabbi I would never go to anyone except Rabbi Winer. My wife and I now consider him a lifelong friend and we look forward to seeing him again. I can't say enough great things about this man. Rabbi Winer drove approximately 12 hours round trip to perform this wedding

Rabbi Winer is the best!

Rabbi Winer is the best! He made our wedding experience what it was and I can't begin to count the number of compliments we had on our ceremony!

Rabbi Winer not only took the time to get to know Erin and I with several meetings at his home office, but you could also tell that he genuinely cares about the people he works with. I can't give him enough 5 stars and I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for his services!

Rabbi Winer is the BEST

Rabbi Winer was absolutely amazing! We booked him pretty early on (about a year out), and had meetings with him leading up to the wedding (I think we had between 5-7 meetings total). I was nervous for the first meeting...but as soon as we met him, we knew we had made the right decision. Rabbi Winer is so warm and kind, he made us feel right at home! Over the course of our meetings, Rabbi Winer asked us questions and had us do little "homework" assignments so that he could get to know us and have a better understanding of our relationship. He made our ceremony so special and personal, incorporating personal notes and things he learned about us throughout our time together. Additionally, regarding the religious aspects of the ceremony…I am Jewish and my husband is Catholic. We had a Jewish ceremony but we wanted to make sure the guests that have never been to a Jewish wedding understood what was happening. Rabbi Winer eloquently explained each portion of the ceremony and made everyone feel comfortable. Many of our guests told us it was one of the best ceremonies they have ever attended! If you are looking to have a really special ceremony, you NEED to hire Rabbi Winer.

Rabbi Winer was fantastic the entire process. From our first introductions over the phone, it was clear Rabbi Winer was there to help and guide us through the process, to have a successful marriage as well as wedding ceremony. The meetings were all necessary and he broke the process down for us. He had no issue doing our interfaith marriage and really helped us decide what pieces we wanted for our wedding, and what things we could leave out. He explained everything and was already friendly. During the service/ceremony, a younger one was having some fun/being distracting and Rabbi Winer played it off great. He had a couple jokes during the ceremony that were PERFECT. He can really read a room. I cannot say enough positive things about Rabbi Winer, or his wife, or his dog! All were hits at my wedding and I'm sure they will be at yours too!

Our ketubah, ceremony, and overall experience was off the charts. Our Jewish and non Jewish family and guests raved about the beautiful and seamless integration of religions and cultures. Rabbi Winer officiated our ceremony over Memorial Day weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better rabbi. We met with him a few times before the wedding so we could get to know him and vice versa. I cannot speak highly enough of Rabbi Winer. He officiated our interfaith wedding and worked with us to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, custom ceremony rooted in traditions and custom. He also had great ideas on how to incorporate my 5-year old son into the day, something that was very important to me. We also enjoyed having his wife, Lori, sing our blessings with her beautiful voice. It was such a nice touch. After the wedding and reflecting on the day, my husband and I agreed that Rabbi Winer and the ceremony were the best parts of the day. We had such an incredible experience working with Rabbi Winer. He really took the time to get to know US as a couple and make our ceremony personalized. We are an interfaith couple and the Rabbi let both of our cultures shine through in the ceremony. Rabbi Winer did a great job the day of the wedding. We received many compliments about how beautiful the ceremony was. Rabbi Winer married my husband Jason and I July 17th 2016 at the Riverview in Simsbury, CT. Let me tell you..from the second we spoke on the phone before we met, I instantly received a warm welcome and after only a few minutes of conversation, I felt like we've known each other all our lives. When we finally got the chance to meet, we were greeted with notning but kindness, warmth, and true genuine belief that we were in great hands!! And we're we ever!! We met about 5-6 times before the planing and went over every single detail possible. We were asked deep questions about ourselves that really made my husband and I really get to know each other on a completely different level. I just want to add, I am of the Jewish faith and my husband is Catholic. We wanted a Jewish wedding and rabbi Winer was Soooo accepting and accommodating and really catered the wedding to our needs and wants. We fell in love with him!!! Rabbi Winer truly loves what he does and wants notning more than to see love and happiness between couples. He made us feel so loved and cared for. The ceremony was absolutely perfect, he made it so interesting and most importantly, both sides of the family genuinely enjoyed themselves due to the perfect ceremony the rabbi tailored around us. We want to thank him so much for such an AMAZING ceremony and wonderful year of getting to know him. We will definetely be staying in touch!!! Hi All,

I honestly cannot say enough great things about Rabbi Winer. He is a great man, and an excellent officiant. He takes the time to get to know you months before the big day. He does this not only to offer words of wisdom on how to maintain a successful marriage but to make sure when the big day comes he is able to speak from the heart about you. He certainly made our day very special. My wife and I came from different religious upbringings and he made our interfaith ceremony beautiful. I am still getting comments from people that it was the most lighthearted, and beautiful ceremony they have even been to. We also had the honor of having Rabbi Winers wife participate in our ceremony which I would highly recommend (she has a beautiful voice). We invited them to stay for the reception and it was a pleasure having them meet and spend time with our families. I know my Niece Gabbi has a friend for life with Rabbi Winer and his dog Mazel.

All in all, I would recommend Rabbi Winer's services to anyone that wants their big day to be special. Thank you for everything.

Rabbi Winer and his wife, Lori, performed our wedding ceremony on the beach on July 19th. While Rabbi officiated, Lori chanted the prayers in Hebrew and then one of our guests read the English. It was beautiful and very spiritual all at the same time. Rabbi Winer is a great listener, has a very good sense of humor, and performed the ceremony just as we had discussed. Husband's review: I'm a Jewish guy who married a non-Jewish woman, but we still wanted a Jewish ceremony. Rabbi Winer was fine with that, and did a great job. He got to know us over several meetings, and catered the ceremony to us. The ceremony couldn't have been better and was a great way to join our two families. Lots of people told us how much they enjoyed the Rabbi. I'll definitely be using him on my next wedding.

Wife's review: My now husband and I are so happy to have had Rabbi Winer as our official "marrier" :). To us, he wasn't just a blip in our wedding planning process; he helped us shape our wedding ceremony (which was "so beautiful and interesting" as quoted by many of our guests), our relationship's philosophies, and our plans to include both cultures in our future family. He met with us over several occasions, not just to discuss the "buffet" of options he offered in a Judaic service, but also to learn about who we were as individuals and as two within a relationship. I loved his marriage counseling advice ("Happy wife, happy life!") and the fact that we both find ourselves quoting him, lol. Overall, Rabbi Winer was the perfect person to help make our ceremony and wedding as memorable as it could be. We love him and his style (which is a wonderful combo of unconventional AND traditional), and bet that you would too. :)
Lastly, as my husband said, I'm not Jewish, but am interested in the culture and appreciate greatly that the ceremony and process made me (and I'm sure our families) feel that we were all coming together as one. Oh, I wish I could do it all over again... *sigh* :)

While searching for Rabbis to officiate my wedding, I was immediately struck by how warm and attentive Rabbi Winer was from our very first interaction. I immediately got a good vibe. While the other officiants I spoke to in my search didn't sound interested in spending too much time getting to know my partner and me, Rabbi Winer insisted that we all spend time together, and took a genuine interest in learning about us and our love for each other, so that he could provide the warmest, most Personal ceremony possible. Rabbi Winer attended to our every need, checking in by phone and even popping in for a visit before the wedding to see if there was anything we needed. The ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful! While I wanted a traditional Jewish ceremony, my partner is of a different faith; Rabbi Winer found a way to give me the traditional ceremony I wanted, while also including the non Jewish guests, and bringing them into the traditions via explanations and English translations. He is then perfect blend of warm, funny and knowledgable. He will make the ceremony exactly what you want it to be, and do it with the warmest smile on his face! My husband and I had such an amazing experience having Rabbi Winer officiate our wedding. We met with him multiple times before the wedding and felt as though he really got to know us, and was able to provide a beautiful, personalized ceremony. We felt very comfortable talking to him about anything and had an overall great experience from our first meeting up to the wonderful ceremony. We wanted to have a Jewish ceremony, but because I'm Jewish and my husband is not, he worked with us to make it our own. We were able to do our own vows, as well as have our families read the seven blessings in English so my husband's family could participate as well, but then we had Rabbi Winer's wife, Lori, sing the blessings in Hebrew which was a beautiful addition. Both sides of our family came up to tell us how much they loved the ceremony after the wedding.

We highly recommend Rabbi Winer as an officiant as he makes a true effort to get to know you as a couple and goes above and beyond to make your special day even more special.

My husband and I knew when we met with Rabbi Winer, he was the one we wanted to marry us. We received numerous compliments from guests at our wedding who never attended a "Jewish" wedding. They absolutely loved the ceremony, Rabbi Rick's demeanor and explanations and how personable he was. He also did a terrific job at the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. He set the tone for what was a very successful event. His suggestions for the Ketubah were great and it was admired by everyone in attendance. Some commented they were jealous that they didn't get an option for a Ketubah at their own interfaith wedding. From the first meeting on, Rabbi Rick was a pleasure to deal with. Additionally, his wife's chanting during the ceremony was an unexpected and very welcome addition to the ceremony.

From our first meeting with Rabbi Rick, my husband and I knew that we would be in good hands and that he would be the perfect officiant for our wedding. He came up with wonderful and creative ideas for our ceremony that would incorporate members of our families and the ceremony was exactly what we envisioned. Rabbi Winer was the perfect officiant for our wedding! I found Rabbi Winer on Wedding Wire and called him right away after previewing his own website. From the first phone call he made me feel at ease and was able to answer every one of my many questions with patience and humor. And believe me, I had lots of questions (I am very detail-oriented)!

My husband was born in the Ukraine and is not very religious, so it was extremely important to both of us that we find a Rabbi who would be flexible with us. Rabbi Winer was perfect - he was able to explain all of the traditional customs to us, and then worked with us to create a ceremony that was just right for us. We also wanted to write our own vows, and he provided us with sample vows so that we could get ideas. He even showed us the beautiful vows that he and his wife wrote to each other. In addition, one special part of the ceremony was the Seven Blessings, where we chose close family and friends to recite blessings to us. He provided us with copies of the blessings in Hebrew, Hebrew-transliteration, and English, so that we could send them to the people we chose. We even had my husband's grandparents recite theirs in Russian. We met with the Rabbi three times at his home, and this allowed us to outline the ceremony as well as get to know the Rabbi. He is great to talk to about anything - we always had a great time at his house, and he makes you feel like family.

Our wedding-day ceremony was everything we wished it would be and more! Both my husband and I agreed that the ceremony was the best part of the whole day. We had so many guests come up to us at the reception to tell us that it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever been at.

We would love to use Rabbi Winer for other events in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone in the Boston-area (or further - he came to Martha's Vineyard for our big day) for a wedding or something else! Thank you Rabbi!

Rabbi Rick was amazing. He worked with us from beginning to end to be sure that not only our ceremony was perfect, but that we'd be a successful couple moving forward in married life. I am Jewish and my husband comes from a catholic background. Even though he is not very religious, there were a few things that were important to him and his family. Rick got everything in there and still kept it beautiful and concise. Everyone raved afterward as to how great the ceremony was and how cool it was that we could take pieces from each of our backgrounds while still having a Rabbi officiate. We met with a couple of other JPs and they gave no where near as personal service as Rick. I am so happy we found Rabbi Rick to do our ceremony and strongly recommend you talk with him to see if he's right for you.

Rabbi Rick was not just our wedding officiant, he made our wedding feel as special and personal as we had hoped it would. He listened carefully as we told him our story of how we met, and reconnected, and incorporated our story into our ceremony. His style of service, and the words he chose to present our ketubah, and our ceremonial vows touched us and all of our family and friends. He included just enough tradition, and left plenty of room for us to personalize our special ceremony with music. We wanted to include some family members in reading the blessings and Rabbi Rick welcomed their participation in our ceremony.

With Rabbi Rick's humor, grace, sensitivity and knowledge of Jewish Tradition, our wedding ceremony was everything we had hoped for. Thank you, Rabbi, for sharing this special day with us.

Rabbi Rick brought a personal touch to our ceremony. We married out of state and as a result, we were only able to meet with Rabbi Rick once. He was responsive to e-mails and calls and clearly put thought and effort into our ceremony. Guests commented on what a great job Rabbi Rick did and felt he helped to create a warm, pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. My husband Richard and I got to meet Richard Winer at a wedding expo and saw that he was an Officiant so we sat and talked to him a few. We said thank you and walked away so that we could talk and let me tell you we went back to his table a few times.... We took his card after we set a time to meet with Mr.Winer.. We met at his house to be able to talk more about the wedding he was always soooo nice and if we had questions when we didnt have a meeting set always called and got back to us via email it was great.. I can tend to be a pain because i like to make sure all is going to be great as this will be our only wedding! Mr.Winer welcomed us with open arms as well as our 2 1/2 year old son Austin. Mr.Winer wrote our vows as my husband didnt want to do his own Mr Winer got to know us for us and how well we work together and our vows hit the head on the nail.. If your looking for someone who is great with peope and always there for his brides and grooms the Mr.Richard Winer is your man. Rabbi Winer was a fantastic choice of officiant for our wedding. We received many compliments on how beautiful the ceremony was, including the vows (we opted for the Rabbi to write our vows instead of choosing to write them ourselves). Rabbi Winer was great for our mixed, traditional Jewish wedding. We wanted to have a traditional Jewish wedding, to please my husbands family, even though I am not Jewish myself. Rabbi Winer was great in offering us all the options for our ceremony. He was a delight to meet with before the wedding in order to get to know my husband and I. Richard S. Winer delivered an absolutely beautiful wedding ceremony. His words and sincerity touched us. We will always remember the beautiful day, the scent of lilacs blooming in the park, favorite music playing, and most of all the happiness we felt sharing our vows.

Interfaith wedding.

When my husband and I were planning our wedding we wanted to have an interfaith wedding. We saw Rabbi Weiner on wedding wire, we called him and immediately connected with him. He told us about the services he does and about himself and asked us more about what we are looking for. And wanted to learn about us. He is very sweet and professional, accommodating . Rabbi Winer did a great job officiating our wedding. We met with him several times in the weeks leading up to our big day, and he really took the time to get to know us and walk us through every step of the process. Rabbi Winer was a pleasure to work with and made our wedding day so special. He was willing to meet with us as many times as we wanted leading up to our special day, and opened his home to us and made us feel welcome. He offered us some marriage advice along the way, gently reminding us of the importance of Jewish tradition in our lives and on our wedding day. During the ceremony, he was calm and composed, and explained to our audience the meaning behind the traditions, for it was a first Jewish wedding for many. Several people came up to us after the ceremony and said how much they loved what the Rabbi had put together, and how the three of us had worked so well to make it all come together so nicely. His wife even sang the 7 blessings! I would absolutely recommend Rabbi Winer- he has a great sense of humor and a big heart.

We were challenged with planning a wedding that was 1,800 miles away. We were very excited to find Rabbi Winer. He helped us throughout the process and while it wasn't the easiest path, the end result was amazing. Rabbi Winer was very endearing, accommodating, flexible and mapped out our event so that we could feel at ease. He explained pieces of the ceremony to our guests so that they could enjoy the event, many of which were not of the Jewish faith. We grew closer together during this process and I it was truly a beneficial experience.

"Rabbi Rick did a fabulous job officiating our wedding! My wife is catholic and I was raised Jewish. Rabbi Rick was willing to work with a priest and the two of them constructed a service that was meaningful for both of us. They worked together and with us (meeting all together to review plans/drafts) in warm way that made us feel comfortable. Each were willing to meet us at our home at one point and also blessed it and our mezuzah. We were thrilled with how the big day came together and we received many compliments on the ceremony. Would recommend Rabbi Rick to anyone wanting a Rabbi officiating their wedding, whom wishes for a traditional "Jewish wedding" or interfaith wedding experience that can be customized to one's desires/beliefs."

Overall an awesome Rabbi who spent time getting to know us as a couple. We had an interfaith ceremony and he worked so well with the priest to make an absolutely beautiful ceremony. If you want an entertaining religious experience, this rabbi is the perfect one for the job. He officiated my Vietnamese/Jewish wedding. We met with him once every 2 months before the wedding to discuss marriage, love, life, etc. He is knowledgeable, personable, great listener, a great talker, and not boring at all. He endears you to Judaism even if you're not Jewish. He was hilarious, but not over the line. He's the best part of the ceremony and all of my guests loved him and told me that it was the best ceremony they'd attended. His wife has a good personality too. I highly recommend him!

Rabbi Winer is a very nice and gregarious rabbi who helped make our interfaith marriage very special. We met several times before the wedding and we got to know each other, which was really nice. Overall he worked great with the Deacon and guided us through the marriage process and helped us make decisions on what to include and how to blend our religions successfully for a really beautiful ceremony

Our daughter and son-in-law were married by Rabbi Winer in August 2014. His approach is a very low key approach and he has experience merging different faiths and viewpoints as this was a Jewish-Hindu wedding. The ceremony was very spiritual and personal. They met with the Rabbi several times during the year to go over what they wanted in the ceremony. As parents of the bride, we thought he brought to the ceremony all the special elements of both faiths and it was a beautiful ceremony.

Put your specific requests in writing. He was easy to work with and let us make the ceremony ours. Our only issues with him were that he pronounced our last name wrong when he pronounced us (it was embarrassing for us) and forgot to include a part that my mother was supposed to do in the ceremony that we had discussed several times. Otherwise the ceremony went very well and everyone enjoyed it. We met with him several times in the year leading up to our wedding.
