    Led a great ceremony

Rabbi Rayzel officiated our wedding and did a phenomenal job. My partner and I felt so comfortable sharing our relationship with her, and it was reflected well in how she approached the ceremony. The way she led the ketubah signing was especially wonderful. We are also an interfaith couple, and she made my partner feel incredibly welcomed into the Jewish community.

    The perfect Rabbi

Rabbi Rayzel brought an extraordinary level of warmth, wisdom, and inclusivity to our interfaith ceremony. Her approach to marriage preparation was both thorough and thoughtful, creating a space where both our faith traditions were honored and celebrated. The ceremony she crafted was deeply personal while maintaining religious significance, with careful explanations of Jewish traditions that engaged all our guests. Her surprise ceremonial elements added unique and meaningful touches to our celebration. The Ketubah signing and wedding ceremony were conducted with a perfect balance of gravitas and joy, creating an atmosphere of both celebration and spiritual significance. Her ability to connect with couples and craft truly personalized ceremonies makes her an exceptional choice for couples seeking a meaningful interfaith celebration. Everyone at our wedding was brought to tears during our ceremony because it was so moving. She was amazing!!!!! We can’t wait to work with her for future life milestones

Rabbi Rayzel Raphael Brings a Beautiful Mix of Wisdom, Humor, and Heart

From the moment we met our rabbi, we felt her genuine care and effort to truly get to know us as individuals and as a couple. She brought an incredible sense of ease, blending her wisdom and unwavering presence with a beautiful mix of tradition and openness to who we are. Her humor and warmth added so much joy to our ceremony, making it personal, meaningful, and unforgettable. We couldn’t have imagined a better guide for such an important day. Highly recommend!

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    10/10 Highly Recommend Rabbi Rayzel!

Rabbi Rayzel officiated the Jewish part of our interfaith wedding. She met with us via phone calls and FaceTime 5 different times before the actual ceremony to discuss various topics, get to know us, and help guide us on our journey of marriage. She was always flexible with meeting times, really made us feel comfortable and answered any questions that we had. On the day of the wedding, Rabbi did an incredible job commanding the audience’s attention and leading a beautiful ceremony with a touch of humor. It was evident that she came prepared. After the ceremony, many guests made it a point to share how much they enjoyed the ceremony primarily due to Rabbi’s positive energy and charisma. She truly went above and beyond and we are so grateful that we found her.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    Ayushi,
Thank you so much for this review. Your Hindu - Jewish wedding was amazing and I did feel the Bollywood influence- the colors, the music, and the joy! It was my pleasure to work with you:) Please stay in touch!
    Blessings, Rabbi Rayzel

    Ketubah Ceremony

Rabbi Rayzel was phenomenal. She spent the time to get to know us before the ceremony. The ceremony itself was exceptional. Rabbi Rayzel was so warm, and entertaining too. I would recommend her to anyone.

    Beautiful Wedding Ceremony

Rabbi Rayzel did an incredible job officiating our wedding. She worked closely with us to make sure we included all the customs we wanted in our ceremony, and informed us regarding the meaning and tradition behind each custom. She was very helpful and enthusiastic throughout the entire process, and made everything a breeze for our ceremony. Most importantly she officiated the ceremony beautifully, and my partner and I loved every aspect of the ceremony.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    Wamika and Micheal,
what beautiful wedding! I was a little worried we had to run back and forth between venues, but you pulled it off with grace and ease and it made the day more exciting ! Your attention to details was amazing and we transcended the time challenges to create a great day:) Please stay in touch and enjoy life, blessings for the journey! Rabbi Rayzel

    Wonderful Inter-faith Officiant!

Working with Rabbi Rayzel Raphael for our interfaith (Jewish & Catholic) wedding was a wonderful experience from start to finish! She was easy to talk to, and really took the time to help craft the perfect ceremony for my husband and I. She provided us with many options and helped to guide us in choosing what felt meaningful to us. We loved how she ensured our focus was on the marriage, not just the wedding!
All of our guests raved about her after the ceremony too! They commented about how engaging she was to listen to and how well she explained the meaning behind different parts of the ceremony. They also loved her fun energy. Thank you Rabbi Rayzel for helping to make our wedding ceremony so meaningful and memorable!

We love Rabbi Rayzel! She's the best!

Rabbi Rayzel's warmth, humor, joyful and loving presence, and wise council was deeply felt and appreciated by all who attended
our ceremony. We could not have been more pleased with our entire experience, from planning, to her officiating, to celebrating.
Everyone raved about her special spirit, and way of making everyone feel comfortable participating with meaning and joy.
We whole heartedly recommend Rabbi Rayzel to work with to create a personalized and meaningful wedding.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Your wedding made my heart sing:) The exchange of poetry and song was amazing, I don't see that at every ceremony. May your love continue to grow and spill over to all who witness you together>

    Wonderful Interfaith Rabbi

Rabbi Rayzel could not have been more wonderful. I had many people come up to me after and say how wonderful our ceremony was. A number of them had been to many interfaith ceremonies in the past, and said that ours was by far the best they'd been to. Her Ketubah signing ceremony was also wonderful, and it was very special to us both.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    Hi Andy
Thank you so much for this! And I don’t believed. I married you in 1984! You might want to change that date…it will be hard to remember what to get for an anniversary!
Maybe just hit reply and the date will go on record otherwise no one would believe this review!!
    Blessings on a great life:)

    Highly Recommend! Excellent Interfaith Ceremony!!

Rabbi Rayzel was an absolute pleasure to work with! I loved that Rabbi Rayzel was more than willing to officiate our interfaith ceremony with many Jewish customs while still conforming to my wife’s faith. The ceremony was absolutely stunning and was inclusive of Jewish and non-Jewish family members and friends. Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing our ceremony was. Rabbi explained everything to us prior to the wedding and we met with her many times via Zoom so that both my wife and I knew exactly how the Ketubah signing and ceremony was going to go. We will 100% agree with one of Rabbi’s other reviews. Rabbi Rayzel made our Ketubah signing absolutely memorable, making it more than just a prayer and signing of a legal document. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking a Rabbi for their wedding!!

Rabbi Rayzel Led the Most Wonderful Wedding

We are so lucky we were married by Rabbi Rayzel. She led the most beautiful ceremony, we were so moved and our guests kept coming up to us throughout the wedding to share how grateful they were to witness our wedding. We had an amazing wedding and looking back, the ceremony itself was the highlight. Rabbi Rayzel also led our ketubah signing and it was such an incredible start to the wedding, she really valued what we wanted and was incredibly inclusive of all of our guests. We would recommend her to anyone who is seeking a Rabbi for their wedding.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    Sarah,
I love this photo, look how much joy you two spread around! It was my pleasure to work with you two. You were thoughtful in your approach to many details and it payed off! The event was amazing!

    Rabbi Rayzel

Rabbi Rayzel was wonderful to work with. We only had about a month to get everything together and she was super quick and flexible with us. We also loved that she let us pick and choose what kind of ceremony we wanted. She suggested some traditions, but did not push anything onto us. She's the perfect progressive Rabbi.

    The most amazing rabbi

Rabbi Rayzel was incredible, she was so helpful, fun to work with, calming and helped my non-Jewish husband and his family embrace Jewish traditions. So many people told us how much they loved our ceremony and they would use Rabbi Rayzel or they wanted to convert to Judaism to have ceremonies with her. We made the best choice to work with her and she made the ceremony so special for us.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Thank you for this Madison! It was my first Jewish - Moravian ceremony and was so beautiful! I love learning from my couples. Please stay in touch and send pictures!
    Blessings life and love,

    Rabbi Rayzel

    Best. Ceremony. EVER!

Rabbi Rayzel was absolutely amazing! The ceremony was so beautiful and unique - all of our guests could not stop raving about how incredible it was...and usually it's the food and the band that get all of the attention at a wedding. Even my friends that are not Jewish are considering using her because they loved the ceremony so much. 10/10 I would recommend her to anyone, and are looking forward to being part of her community for years to come. Thank you Rabbi!

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    Karla and Ari,
Thanks for this great review:) I had so much fun at your wedding, you had a receptive crowd, and your little one riding in the wagon down the aisle ( almost) upstaged the bride and groom:) That was such a cute moment!....Yes, please keep in touch. It was an honor to be your officiant!
Blessings of life and love, Rabbi Rayzel

    She is the best!

Every part about working with Rabbi Rayzel was thoughtful, engaging and fun! We worked with her through the entire marriage process including discussions about how we would cohabitate together as a couple in to the years following our marriage, the Ketubah selection and signing (which was a very sweet ceremony!), and then actually selecting the components of our ceremony.
We had been in contact with Rabbi Rayzel for over two years prior to our wedding day and it was so worth the wait to be married by her! Guests were coming up to us throughout the evening saying that throught it was the BEST CEREMONY EVER! And we agree! Our friends were singing her songs and complementing her all night.
The ceremony itself was so inclusive. We are grateful to have found a rabbi that would marry an interfaith, same sex couple! Our guests were part of the ceremony as the Rabbi led them in song and blessings. We really felt the love and the community support! It was beautiful! We can’t recommend Rabbi Rayzel enough for your wedding day and beyond!

    Highly recommend!

Rabbi Rayzel was absolutely amazing!! I grew up Jewish but my husband did not. I loved that Rabbi was more than willing to officiate our interfaith ceremony with many Jewish customs. She explained everything to us prior to the wedding and we met with her many times so that both my husband and I felt like we had known her for a while! She was prompt on the day of, led the most beautiful ketubah ceremony that my parents and in-laws loved, and then orchestrated an absolutely beautiful ceremony. The ceremony was the perfect length, included so many personalized moments for us as a couple and the guests of the wedding told us they enjoyed it as well. We couldn’t be happier to have gone with Rabbi and will definitely use her for baby namings and all events in the future!

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Thank you for your kind words! It was great day! Your family is so much fun, and you two are meant for each other. I loved learning about both of you. Stay in touch and thanks for the pictures !

    Rabbi Rayzel is the best!!

If you are a Jewish couple or an inter-faith couple like us (Jewish and Christian) get in touch with Rabbi Rayzel for your wedding!! She started off by calling us, getting to know us as a couple and us getting to know her. As we had to moved our wedding date three times, she was able to move with us each time! We appreciate that so much! We decided to have a Ketubah Signing ceremony and I was SO glad we did! This included our parents and siblings as well and Rabbi Rayzel made it so personal and meaningful! It was such an intimate time before the ceremony that I highly recommend. Next, Rabbi planned the most perfect and sweetest ceremony. Her personality also shined through to create humorous moments as well! All of our family and guests loved her. We feel so lucky that Rabbi Rayzel married us!

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

I wish you and your families the very best ! It was my total pleasure. Best rooftop wedding- didn't even feel the 90 degrees because we were focused on your overflowing joy and happiness! :) Enjoy life, enjoy each other, have fun!

    A Special Rabbi & Person

Rabbi Rayzel guided my son and his future wife through her conversion and also helped tp create a most memorable wedding during the time of Covid. The couple's destination wedding celebration was postponed, but they decided to marry on their date in a small private ceremony. Rabbi Rayzel performed the most beautiful and intimate wedding and Ketubbah signing. She was flexible, helpful and supportive and not just to the couple, but also to the mother making this wedding at her home! I would highly recommend Rabbi Rayzel to any couple and family looking for a special Rabbi and a special person with a fabulous voice! KD

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Kathy, , Thank you for taking theme to write this review! I really appreciate hearing from the parents as well as my couples! I like it when I can make families happy:)

    Amazing and Thoughtful

Rabbi Rayzel was an amazing officiant that took the time to get to know my husband and I before our wedding day. She was very thoughtful and brought a calming presence to our conversations and to the ceremony. The ceremony was filled with such positivity. At one point my niece ran up to us during our ceremony and she took it in with kindness and handled it very well! It made the ceremony funny and spontaneous. She made our day so special! We cannot say enough about Rabbi Rayzel. She is awesome!!

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    Britanny and Jake,
It was my pleasure to celebrate your love! And yes, sometimes the unexpected moments can make the ceremony most memorable:) after all Life is full of surprises!

    Would highly recommend!!!

We are extremely grateful for Rabbi Rayzel’s part in making our wedding ceremony and wedding day as special as it was. I am Jewish but my husband is not, so Rabbi Rayzel took the time to explain Jewish marriage customs at our first meeting. She also provided suggestions to bring my husband’s heritage into our ceremony as well. Rabbi Rayzel provided examples while allowing us to create our own ceremony customized to us, with a Kiddush blessing and handfasting! She helped us find a Ketubah and made our Ketubah-signing ceremony with our families and witnesses one of the most special parts of our day. Countless friends and family members told us at the reception and cocktail hour how beautiful our ceremony was! I cannot recommend Rabbi Rayzel highly enough. She did everything to make sure our ceremony was unique to us and memorable for our guests.

    Our Rabbi for life

In addition to performing the ceremony for my daughter’s recent Bat Mitzvah on 2.1.20, Rabbi Rayzel Raphael also performed my wedding ceremony 15 years ago, and my youngest daughter’s Baby Naming Ceremony in March of 2012. Suffice it to say, Rabbi Rayzel is my family’s Rabbi for life! Although we are very close now, after 15 years, we had just met in 2005 when my husband and I went looking for a Rabbi that specialized in interfaith marriages. Even then, Rabbi Rayzel took the time to really get to know us. We met on many occasions before the actual wedding day where the Rabbi guided us through deep and profound conversations that forced us to really contemplate, and ultimately strengthen our commitment. We became so close through the process, and formed a bond with Rabbi Rayzel. We did not hesitate to call on her 7 years later to perform the Baby Naming ceremony for our youngest daughter. It was like no time had passed, and our bond strengthened even more.
So here we are, another 7 years later, and we call upon our Rabbi to coach us through our oldest daughter’s upcoming Bat Mitzvah. At first, she wasn’t sure if she would be available for our date. We were devastated. She recommended a Cantor with whom she had worked with before on Bnai Mitzvahs, and told us that if it came to be that she was not available, the Cantor, who would be giving our daughter her lessons, could perform the Bat Mitzvah on her own with no problem. We agreed, and trusted our Rabbi’s recommendation. We started the lessons with the Cantor and everything was moving along smoothly. Rabbi Rayzel had us covered. Then came the call; “I’m coming home for this. I’m coming home for you. Of course I’m coming home. You’re my family. We’ve been together since the beginning. I would not miss this.” I mean, who does this? She had an ill close family member, and work obligations out of state, and she was flying back to Philadelphia for our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah! Before she left town, our Rabbi met with us as a family multiple times to get to know my daughter (and little sister!) and hear from my daughter about what she envisioned for the ceremony, her bat mitzvah project, and her speech. The Rabbi stayed in constant contact with us while she was away, and even let us have her Torah in the house while she was gone as a reminder of what was to come! Face-times, phone calls, in-person lessons, hours and hours of work put in by all for months and months. As we get closer, our Rabbi and our Cantor worked tirelessly on the prayer booklet for the ceremony, which included prayers, songs, rituals, readings, and of course, my daughter reading from the Torah. It was the most beautiful service. My daughter did an amazing job, leading the Havdalah service almost entirely in Hebrew.
What a beautiful late afternoon and night!!
Throughout this process, our Rabbi was a calming, supportive, loving presence for everyone involved. For me, the mother of the Bat Mitzvah girl, my Rabbi was a counselor, a solution seeker, an adviser, a friend, a guide, and a loving sister in arms. I can’t say enough, other than.....can’t wait for the next one in 4 years! But I’m sure it won’t be that long before we talk again, because my family, especially me, loves our Rabbi, and we are so grateful for her loving presence in our lives.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Marnie, this review has really moved me and touched my heart. It is families like yours that make me feel blessed to have chosen this path of the rabbinate. I am so grateful you have let me into your lives like this, I am honored.... and “fa-klempt “/choked up with emotion. I wish all of you many more years of joy and happiness and hope I can share in it:)
Blessings to all of you! And thanks for my hundredth review! This was the perfect one for that!
    I love you all,
    Blessings Rabbi Rayzel

    Fabulous interfaith service!

Rabbi Rayzel made everyone feel welcome at my son’s wedding last week. The wedding was interfaith with Jewish undertones. She did an amazing ketubah signing with both families participating. No one was excluded. She took the time to personally meet my son and his future bride at her home. She also did some phone meetings as well. She was so engaging, and our friends of all faiths loved her service and enthusiasm. We were told by many people how wonderful her service was, and for many of them it was their first Jewish wedding. She truly engaged everyone who attended.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Dori I can't thank you enough for your kinds words. It was my total pleasure ! Please stay in touch and send me a picture if you get a good one, everyone looked beautiful!

    We HIGHLY recommend Rabbi Rayzel

1 month before our wedding (for reasons out of our control), we needed to find a new officiant for our wedding. Based on the WeddingWire reviews, we reached out to Rabbi Rayzel. She opened up her schedule and was happy to work with us even on such short notice. Rabbi Rayzel quickly caught us up to speed and we were wedding-ready. From the ketubah signing to the ceremony, Rabbi Rayzel far exceeded every expectation. She is smart, witty and above all else, spiritual. These wonderful attributes (and more) shone through in her ceremonies. Whether it was their first jewish wedding ceremony or their 100th, so many of our guests were in awe of the ceremony and made it a point to tell us so.

Thank you, Rabbi Rayzel, for making our wedding day so special.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

    Ilana- and Greg,
Thank you for letting into your lives so quickly:) You had created a dream wedding and I was glad to be part of it! Please stay in touch, and send a picture,
    Blessings all around,
    Rabbi Rayzel

Ps I know you are organized, so you can now cross one more thing/review off your list:)

    Excellent experience for our wedding

Rabbi Rayzel did an amazing job with our wedding ceremony. It seemed like every guest I talked to went out of their way to comment on how much they enjoyed it. I have been to weddings where the ceremony drags on or is too short. Ours was perfect and it was nice to know all of our guests felt the same way.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Adam and Alyssa, it was my pleasure to shepherd you - and your family members:) through this wedding! I took forward to the ongoing conversations and where they will lead. I Know we will be in touch!
    Blessings, Rabbi Rayzel

    Flexible, fun to work with

Rabbi Rayzel Raphael was great from the start to finish! We throughly enjoyed working with her, she was down to earth, responsive, fun and professional. We had a couple bloopers in our wedding and she improvised well! The guests told us how much they enjoyed our ceremony that was filled with love bad laughter! I highly recommend her!
    Thank you Rabbi!

    A tale of two cultures

Rabbi Rayzel helped make our wedding that much more special by seamlessly incorporating traditions from both our cultures (my husband is Jewish and I am Chinese). From start to finish, Rabbi Rayzel was there to guide us in our journey not only to a beautiful wedding day, but more importantly, to a beautiful and loving life together! At first we were hesitant about getting a Ketubah (being a fairly budget-conscious couple), but we are so thankful that Rabbi Rayzel recommended we get one. The Ketubah signing still remains one of my favorite parts of the wedding day! I am a complete introvert so the thought of a big party was daunting in itself (we only had about 80 guests but even that felt like a huge crowd to me) -- That Ketubah signing was surprisingly just what I needed and set me at ease before the ceremony. I was so thankful to have those few moments of peaceful and intimate reflection on the day, the meaning of this commitment, and the melding of our families, cultures, and traditions. It was so beautiful, in fact, that I teared up when my MIL whispered her beautiful and loving words of wisdom/advice in my ear. Before I even start talking about how wonderful the ceremony was, I must mention all the priceless guidance Rabbi Rayzel provided us before the Big Day. She had us draft a "cohabitation agreement," which is a document that outlines all of the things in life that are most important to us, individually and as a couple. There were things on the list that we had never thought to discuss, but were definitely things we should have discussed before marriage. Going through the process of drafting that document really helped us ground our relationship and future commitment in reality. All too often, people get caught up in the whirlwind of wedding planning and perfecting every aspect of their Big Day, and they let slip the things that truly matter: how will you and your spouse live every day of the rest of your lives in such a way that both individuals are happy and fulfilled? I am so thankful to have been asked to really sit down with my husband before the wedding and discuss (agree on or compromise on) all these important details of our future lives together. So few officiants go out of their way to help couples prepare for their Big Day in this way -- Thank you, Rabbi Rayzel! Now, before I ramble too much, a little blurb about the ceremony itself: we had an outdoor ceremony and it was really really hot (high 80s), so everyone was fanning themselves with their programs. Despite the less than ideal weather, Rabbi Rayzel pulled off the ceremony beautifully! It was heartfelt, intimate, and a perfect union of our two cultures! Traditional Chinese wedding ceremonies are really quite simple and consist mainly of the Bai Tang (or three bows to Heaven and Earth), which honor the bride and groom's families and each other. Thus, we went with a mostly Jewish ceremony with the Bai Tang included right after the Moment of Remembrance, which was absolutely perfect! Thank you, Rabbi, for everything!! You helped make our day truly one to remember!

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Diana, Thank you for going the extra step to post this wonderful review! You took the same care with your ceremony as the beautiful writing here. I wish you all the best. Please stay in touch and PLEASE send me a a few pictures when they come in ! Blessings, Rabbi Rayzel

    So easy to work with!

We really enjoyed working with Rabbi Rayzel. We needed someone to officiate our interfaith, Saturday afternoon ceremony, and she was the perfect choice. She listened to what we wanted to be included, and helped tailor the ceremony to us. She was entertaining and kept our friends and family engaged, but wasn't over the top. Our guests are still talking about the singing during circling, and my favorite part was the ketubah signing ceremony, which made us feel surrounded by love. Highly recommend!!

    Moving ceremony

Rabbi Rayzel officiated our wedding and it was truly amazing. She left everyone feeling so touched and connected, it was truly beautiful. I am happy I found her! She understood that my fiancé and I wanted a Jewish ceremony; although we are not super religious. She worked with us in order to customize the ceremony how WE wanted and how we viewed ourselves through our religious beliefs. The Ketubah signing was one of the highlights of the entire wedding experience for myself, as well as a number of other guests (family/friends) who witnessed it as well. She brought us to happy tears and it was something I will never forget. I hope to remain in contact with her as we grow our family. :) thank you again Rabbi!

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Jenna thank you for this review! It was my pleasure to get to know you and Andrew. You had a beautiful wedding in a historic scenic venue! You did a great job keeping track of all the details and moving parts:) Please stay in touch and come to one of my Shabbat dinner gathering for my wedding couples.

Made our ceremony unique and fun

We are an interfaith couple who wanted a few different traditions included in our ceremony but didn't know where to even begin. Rabbi Rayzel coached us through the process of creating a ceremony that was meaningful to us both. We've been told by family and friends it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies they have been to, and I couldn't agree more.

Could not ask for a better Rabbi

Easily the best Rabbi we could have hoped for. Everyone in our families loved her. I had an interfaith wedding which erred more toward a Jewish ceremony. As such most of my wife's family were not knowledgeable about the Jewish traditions that would be presented. Rabbi Rayzel presented everything in a way that everyone understood. She is the best and well worth it.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Thank you so much for these kind words! I loved being at your wedding in the woods, and my last image of you two is dancing away into the dry ice "fog", Like some enchanted story. Enjoy life and stay in touch, Please send a few good pics! Blessings, Rabbi Rayzel

Fantastic service provided by Rabbi Rayzel!!

Rabbi Rayzel is fantastic in every aspect. She truly understood our needs and respected our balance of dual faith marriage. I come from a Jewish background while my wife comes from Catholic. Rabbi was able to intertwine both religions perfectly for our ceremony. The response from family and friends regarding our ceremony was something we will cherish forever!

    Absolutely Awesome!

Initially had trouble finding a rabbi who would be inclusive and respectful of both of our religions, while still accentuating the traditions of Judaism. In fact, Rabbi Rayzel worked with us in explaining all of the different traditions and allowing us to choose which traditions we wanted to use in the ceremony. Rabbi Rayzel spent the time talking with both of us as a couple and individually, over several months, to get to know us and our innermost feelings and thoughts of each other. She was able to incorporate this into our ceremony quite well. Rabbi went above and beyond what we expected, as well as guiding us with questions we had. For example, when choosing the wording of our ketubah, it asked us to provide our hebrew and english names. My bride, who is Catholic, did not have a hebrew name, so the rabbi suggested she choose one for herself, and assisted us in writing a contract to designate her as an “ally” of the Jewish people, along with her new hebrew name.

We felt Rabbi Rayzel was there for us and was happy for us. Both of our families were extremely happy. Our Jewish and non-Jewish friends were touched by Rabbi Rayzel’s genuineness, uniqueness, and sprirituality. It is quite evident that she loves what she does. Our ceremony went far beyond our lofty expectations and both my wife and I have not stopped raving about Rabbi Rayzel. She gets TEN stars out of five!

Rabbi Rayzel is the best! I literally had a very Catholic guest come up to me after the ceremony and say, "I would convert, just to have her do my ceremony". Another guest called Rabbi "the wizard". People who knew nothing about Judaism felt included; people who hadn't yet met the groom, learned about him and our love through Rabbi's words. Rabbi even took distractions from the flower girl in stride, including it in the ceremony to engage everyone instead of ignoring it.
Thank you Rabbi for making us both so comfortable and delivering a beautiful ceremony that was representative of our love!

Rabbi Rayzel was phenomenal to work with! After our introduction phone call with her we knew we wanted to work with her. She was available through the entire wedding planning process and emphasized our ceremony planning to make the ceremony the best version of us. We felt so comfortable planning our interfaith ceremony with her and she was wonderful at providing us with the best information and recommendations. We initially wanted a very quick ceremony but she helped us create a ceremony that was extremely meaningful and specific to the two of us and everyone absolutely loved it. We received SO MANY compliments from EVERYONE at our wedding about how much they loved Rabbi Rayzel and our ceremony. She is wonderful and I would recommend her to any couple getting married!

Rabbi Rayzel was an absolute pleasure to work with! She is super responsive and always willing to help or listen. I really enjoyed attending a Shabbat dinner at her home with couples she had married and or was going to marry soon. Our wedding guests have not stopped talking about how absolutely incredible our wedding ceremony was, all thanks to Rabbi Rayzel! My husband (a lapsed Jew) and I (a Shiksa) had a Jew-ish/mostly secular wedding ceremony with some Irish influences tossed in, and Rabbi Rayzel was there to support and guide us every step of the way! She helped us to craft a totally unique and personalized ceremony script that was so warm and full of love. Rayzel was comfortable with our request not to have overtly religious wording or passages and truly created the perfect ceremony for us. Thank you again, Rabbi Rayzel!

It was my total pleasure. The wedding was heartfelt and sparkly! I'll never forget those gold bridesmaids:) I bless you two with lots of love. Stay in touch!

As someone who never really envisioned getting married, I hadn't considered a single thing about the process, except that I most definitely didn't want to have to wear white, and planning events is a bit overwhelming and exhausting. With the expiration day of our marriage license fast approaching, my fiance and I realized that we needed the certificate signed very soon.

Feeling at a loss because neither of us prefer crowds, being in the spotlight, myriad logistical details, nor are we rolling in wealth at the moment, we decided to keep it as simple and stress free as humanly possible.

Finding wedding wire online, we located Rabbi Rayzel in Philedelphia. She was the biggest help imaginable for the event. While supporting our desire to keep it simple, she also had a pile of resources for us to look over and details to consider that would impact us emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually going into a new life together.

It was relaxing, fragrant, and very welcoming. Coming out just long enough to take pictures in the garden, the late afternoon sun gave a lovely sparkle to the damp grass before we returned indoors for the perfect, nicely colorful, ceremony after which the Rabbi presented us with a wonderful book (and a very good read!) as a gift. We were married in her comfortable and beautiful home with a ceremony that we designed (after going back and forth a bit through email) and our three guests. Sherlock, her well-mannered and adorable dog, supervised.

I couldn't be more grateful and feel more blessed that there were no available magistrates on the day we selected. I only wish we live closer to Philly so that we can participate in the community activities that Rabbi Rayzel hosts. When our baby is born in a few months, we definitely want to have our baby naming with this wonderful lady.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

Your wedding was a joy to host. Its not every day I get to have a wedding in my living room! The house was very happy to be filled with such love. I wish you many blessings and lots of joy from the new being on the way. Stay in touch.

My husband & I had an interfaith wedding this past September and asked Rabbi Rayzel, and a priest, to officiate. She helped us think about the most important part of wedding planning - not necessarily the party, but our lives together as husband & wife. She was very thoughtful and helped us think more about important topics that we may not have considered. She also co-officiated a wonderful ceremony - we received so many compliments from our guests about our ceremony & about how it was so tailored and customized. We definitely recommend Rabbi Rayzel to anyone considering a Jewish or interfaith wedding!

I am Jewish and my husband is Irish-Catholic. Rabbi Rayzel worked with us to tailor the perfect ceremony. My husband and I are so thrilled with how incredible, sentimental, and loving the ceremony was. Our family and friends keep talking about it! It was so special. My husband's family as well as my family were in complete awe over the Jewish symbols as well as the personalizations. The ceremony truly exceeded our expectations.

Rabbi Rayzel, officiated our wedding in July of 2017 and she was amazing! We had an interfaith ceremony and she did such a wonderful job making the guests of all faiths feel comfortable. She explained so much of the Jewish symbolism and made the ceremony so inclusive for our families, it was phenomenal! We had a few guests come up to us after the ceremony (pre- reception) saying it was the best wedding they had ever seen. Working with Rabbi Rayzel was one of the best choices we made for our wedding.

Rabbi Rayzel was a true g_d send during the planning of our wedding. She was there to guide and support us every step of the way and made our day even more memorable. My husband and I had an interfaith ceremony, (he is catholic and I am Jewish), Rabbi introduced us to a wonderful priest and made sure that everyone felt comfortable and accepted on our wedding day!Once you are under her wing and in her circle, she is there to help you work out anything you need (even putting a rowdy bridal party in their place). Our wedding was on 6/4/17 and she continues to reach out and check on us, letting us know we are in her thoughts and that is awesome! We hope to have Rabbi Rayzel as a part of many significant moments in our lives and any couple would be lucky to have her!

Rabbi Rayzel helped make our wedding less stressful. My husband is half Jewish so we had a hard time finding a rabbi that would marry us. Rabbi Rayzel worked with us to customize our ceremony to our liking. She was responsive and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We received many compliments on our ceremony.

Rabbi Rayzel officiated our wedding just a couple of weeks ago. It was a beautiful ceremony, she went out of her way to include personal elements of each of us and also took into account our level of religiosity. She was very flexible and wanted to make sure that the couple felt comfortable and happy with what was being included/excluded within the ceremony. After the wedding a lot of people came up to me to say that they had never seen a Jewish wedding that was so happy, beautiful and egalitarian. I highly recommend Rabbi Rayzel !

We had Rabbi Rayzel lead our interfaith ceremony, and loved her! Neither of us are very religious, but wanted to keep some tradition in the ceremony that would appeal to our different backgrounds, and she did a wonderful job including both of us. She is absolutely the best!! Rabbi Rayzel worked with us to make the ceremony ours and it couldn't have turned out more perfect. Everyone at our wedding loved the ceremony and absolutely loved Rabbi Rayzel!! We loved that she explained everything about the ceremony, so all of our guests who weren't familiar with Jewish customs could better understand. Everyone had nothing but positive things to say. Rabbi Rayzel also helped us a lot before the ceremony. She provided a sort of "pre marriage counceling" if you will. It got my wife and I talking about things we wouldn't have thought to discuss. We can't recommend Rabbi Rayzel enough!!!

Rabbit Rayzel preformed a beautiful interfaith ceremony for us! The service was just the way we imagined and wanted it to be. We also got a ton of compliments from our guests. They said it was probably the most fun they had ever had during a ceremony and loved how personalized it was! Working with Rabbi Rayzel for pre-marriage counseling and wedding ceremony was one of the best decisions we made. As an interfaith couple we enjoyed learning about each other's traditions in order to create our own. We attended several gatherings at Rabbi Rayzel's home and met with other couples making the same decisions we were faced with. Our ceremony was very personalized and Rabbi Rayzel even co-officiated with a priest since it was important for us as a couple to have representation from each of our religions. We are still getting many rave reviews and compliments about our ceremony and particularly Rabbi Rayzel. Would definitely recommend working with her.

Rabbi Rayzel was a pleasure to work with and we were so fortunate to have her officiate our "interfaith" wedding. She helped customize our service to our values and taught us many customs and their meanings, and help implement them in our service. We felt like it came together as well as it possibly could have. She worked seamlessly with the minister. She really got to know us and let us shape the ideals of the service and guide us to what was important to us. I absolutely recommend Rabbi Rayzel!

Alec and I loved having Rabbi Rayzel officiate our wedding. Everything about the ceremony was perfect - which was 100% Jewish (not an interfaith marriage). She made the ceremony so intimate and special. It was wonderful working with her throughout the entire process - she really got to know us. I can't wait to see the video from the videographer so I can relive our wedding day and watch the ceremony over and over again! We are so happy with our decision to go with Rabbi Rayzel as the officiant for our wedding. She truly took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. She and her husband host Shabbat and holiday dinners throughout the year for her couples to get to know each other and herself and it was always such a special and unique experience each time and we look forward to continuing to attend events in the future. Rabbi Rayzel helped everything to go smoothly on the day of our wedding and we had so much positive feedback from family and friends.

My husband and I are so glad that we chose Rabbi Rayzel Raphael to officiate our ceremony. She had officiated at two of my friends weddings and after seeing their weddings, I knew we had to go with her. In first meeting with us, we had a skype session and then Rabbi Rayzel invited us to a dinner at her house to meet with her and other couples whom she was going to marry and had married in the past.

Over the next few months in planning the ceremony, we had several more skype sessions. Rabbi Rayzel really wants to get to know you as the couple in order to make the ceremony very personalized (as it should be!). She worked with us to create our own unique ceremony. My husband is Catholic and I am Jewish and Rabbi Rayzel worked with us to make sure that we were both comfortable with the ceremony and to incorporate pieces of both faiths.

Rabbi Rayzel's services go far beyond planning for the ceremony. She also encouraged us to think about our future plans and goals together and our agreements for marriage.

We got soo many compliments from our guests on how wonderful the ceremony was. A few guests of the non-Jewish faith even commented that it made them want to have a Jewish wedding. We were so pleased with how the ceremony turned out and it was a pleasure working with Rabbi Rayzel as she guided us through the process.

Rabbi Raphael was a warm, caring officiant. She met with the bride and groom several times by phone and in person several times and really got to know them. Many family members said that the "bedekken," the ceremony in which the marriage contract was signed, was one of the most moving things they'd ever witnessed. We recommend her highly.

Rabbi Rayzel was a fantastic member of our wedding, both before and during the ceremony. Unlike some vendors that were hard to get a hold of, Rabbi Rayzel always made herself available and was very helpful in making sure everything was planned and done with the least amount of stress possible. She really listened to what we wanted out of our ceremony and, in preparation for the big day, made both my husband and I explore and answer some "big picture" questions that were difficult yet fulfilling.

When it came to the actual day, Rabbi Rayzel was amazing, leading the Ketubah signing with my family (Jewish) and his family (Episcopalian) flawlessly. During the actual ceremony, she was thoughtful and articulate. She even had a curve ball in the form of things my husband and I had said to one another without the other knowing. To hear his words and to see him react to mine was priceless.

Really can't say enough good things about Rabbi Rayzel. She was the ideal officiant who's color and energy matched ours perfectly.

Rabbi Rayzel recently married my husband and I and she was an absolute pleasure to work with! We are an interfaith couple and she worked with us every step of the way, creating a beautiful ceremony that we were both comfortable with and that was suited to our tastes. She is extremely open and flexible and has great ideas. Our guests absolutely loved our ceremony and said that it was one of the best they've been too. Rabbi Rayzel had us all laughing during it! If you want a ceremony to remember, she's a fantastic choice.

Rabbi Rayzel Raphael was excellent throughout all aspects of our wedding preparation and on the day itself. We had an intercultural ceremony, and Rabbi Rayzel was great at working with us and our families to put together a wonderful ceremony.

Rabbi Rayzel really helped us personalize our ceremony! We chose elements of a traditional Jewish ceremony to use, but then replaced other parts of the ceremony with our own selections. Her steps to getting married ensured we talked through many important topics before the big day and will continue to annually. Everyone LOVED the ceremony!

Rabbi Rayzel created an interfaith wedding ceremony, Jewish with elements of Latin American cultural traditions that really represented the uniqueness of my daughter and her husband. Many guests remarked it was the best inter-faith wedding they'd ever been to!

I am an atheist marrying a Jew, and there are certainly plenty of challenges involved in officiating that wedding. Rabbi Rayzel couldn't have been more wonderful as the person guiding us through this process, not only making things go smoothly, but helping us to get a ton of spiritual and relationship insights and experiences! I could not be happier.

My husband and I were thrilled to be able to have Rabbi Rayzel perform our wedding ceremony. She was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process and helped us really focus on the importance of the marriage and what that meant for both of us. Her insight and willingness to work with us and be receptive to our ideas, helped us know that we made the right decision when we asked her to perform the ceremony for us.
After the wedding, we received countless compliments about the ceremony and we honestly could not have been happier. We look forward to staying in touch with the rabbi for the next chapter in our lives and are very fortunate to know her.

Rabbi Rayzel was great to work with! I though it was wonderful that she not only wanted to review the wedding ceremony but really wanted to prepare us for our future together. The ketubah signing ceremony was my favorite part of the day. We are looking forward to seeing her again!

Rabbi Rayzel officiated our ceremony on March 21, 2015. She perfectly captured the spirit of who we are and the ceremony we wanted. We were given space to laugh and cry and laugh some more under the Chuppah. She even let me quote "Les Miserables" in our 7 blessings! Our guests raved about how personalized the ceremony seemed, and that it was very clear it was "our" wedding.

Rabbi Rayzel is absolutely an amazing officiant and a beautiful person to have in your life. From the time we first spoke on the phone, I knew she was going to be special to us. If you're looking for someone to meet with you once, ask standard questions and then not speak to you again after your wedding/baby naming/etc - then this Rabbi is NOT for you. She will welcome you into her life, share her wisdom and often times her home. She specializes in interfaith and intercultural weddings and hosts Shabbat dinners for her couples so that they can gather and converse and learn from each other. She walks you through difficult conversations that are important to have before marriage and reassures you that the answers can change over time but that you must know where you started at.

My husband and I wanted a deeply personal ceremony and Rabbi helped us outline exactly what we wanted. We received compliments on it from every guest and even our other vendors told us how special it was! During the ceremony, a groomsman fainted (!) and Rabbi calmly and quietly noted it and then drew everyone's attention to her, working the disruption seamlessly into the program. As the bride, I didn't even realize that he had been carried out right behind us. Everyone was so entranced by her and her voice and charisma.

Overall, Rabbi Rayzel is fantastic. Every single guest told us that they wished they could sit down and speak with her personally. She is now our rabbi for all life's events, big or small.

    Rabbi Rayzel Raphael's reply:

I just wanted to respond to this statement in the review:

"If you're looking for someone to meet with you once, ask standard questions and then not speak to you again after your wedding/baby naming/etc - then this Rabbi is NOT for you."

I am also willing to meet once, ask standard questions and never speak to you again:)…….of course, that's not my preference- but if thats what you want, I'll respect it !

Rabbi Rayzel was one of the best parts of our wedding. She helped guide us in creating an interfaith ceremony that reflected our values, and she supported us in starting our new lives as an interfaith married couple. She was very easy going and caring; we even went to two Shabbat dinners at her house before our wedding! We will certainly keep in touch with her and view her as a life long friend!

Rabbi Rayzel was amazing! She was in constant contact with us from day one. She walked us through every step of the ceremony, and worked with our reverend the day of the wedding. Rabbi Rayzel added her own little special touches to the wedding that were absolutely amazing. We could not have been any happier! We are truly lucky to have had Rabbi Rayzel as our rabbi for our wedding.

Rabbi Rayzel was AMAZING!! All of our guest talked about how personal our ceremony was and what a great way she incorporated everything we wanted in the service. She was so wonderful and truly helped capture the essence of "us". My husband and I plan on having the Rabbi officiate any and all upcoming life events that we can book her for!! Can't wait for her next Shabbat dinner!! We love her and would highly recommend her for any interfaith ceremony.

I came to wedding wire to find an officiant after my rabbi refused to do my wedding because I was not marrying a jewish man. I couldn't have hoped for it to work out better. Rabbi Rayzel was wonderful and she really worked with our needs and both of our heritages. We got a ton of compliments on our ceremony and some people even cried. I cant speak high enough praises.

We are an interfaith couple (Jewish and Catholic) and were seeking out just the right Rabbi to perform a Jewish wedding ceremony for us. I am so grateful to have found Rabbi Rayzel Raphael. She had so many great reviews, and I loved her website from the start. It was clear to me from her online presence alone that she was passionate about officiating and guiding couples into marriage. From the moment I made contact with her, she was reliably responsive, timely, open-minded, nurturing, and wise. We really feel, now a couple months into our marriage, that the time we spent with Rabbi Rayzel has set a solid groundwork for our future. We had such deep and important discussions prior to our wedding, at our request and with her guidance, that the only questions left are what curves life will throw! Rabbi Rayzel is gentle and funny - our family and every wedding guest adored her music and sense of humor and presence. Next up, we will ask her to do our baby naming. :-) We love Rabbi Rayzel!!!

Rabbi Rayzel co-officiated our Interfaith (Catholic/Jewish) wedding in May 2014. Since we are both religious, we initially had a hard time finding both a Priest and a Rabbi who we could both connect with. As soon as we spoke to Rabbi Rayzel, we were immediately excited that we found an officiate who was warm, open, and accepting of both religions. She also helped us find our priest who was a great fit as well. We enjoyed all of our conversations and planning with Rabbi Rayzel and are looking forward to continuing our relationship. Our ceremony was everything we were hoping for! It was fun, heartfelt, and unique to us. So many of our guests said it was the best ceremony they attended  We’re so lucky we found Rabbi Rayzel and would highly recommend her for your ceremony!

Rabbi Rayzel co-officiated our Interfaith (Catholic/Jewish) wedding in May 2014. Everyone is still raving that it was the best ceremony they have ever attended! So much love and laughter and perfect blend of both religions. Rabbi has the perfect balance of reverance and humor. We were able to completely personalize our entire wedding. We enjoyed our prep time with her prior to the ceremony. She included parts of conversations we had about our spouse's as a surprise to each other and she made the wedding ceremony flow seamlessly. Rabbi Rayzel Raphael officiated at my gay wedding with grace and sensitivity that is uniquely hers. From her accommodating to my (non-religious) Baptist husband to trekking to DC from the Philadelphia area, she has determination to both "do the right thing" and "get the job done". I have known her and her work for more than 10 years and have never been disappointed with her energy, creativity and spiritual universality.

We really enjoyed having Rabbi Rayzel officiate our wedding. We got so many compliments on how warm and personal she made the ceremony. It was exactly what I hoped it would be.

A few days before the wedding, just when we were scrambling to conquer the final items on our checklist, Rabbi Rayzel asked to have a separate, private conversation with me and my fiance. Although seemingly very inconvenient, I learned that her timing is quite intentional. She asked us questions about each other to remind us of why we were doing this. It turned out that one of my favorite parts of our ceremony was hearing my and my husband's answers to the questions she asked us.

Rabbi Rayzel was supportive and responsive throughout our entire planning process. She struck a great balance of making sure we understood the meanings behind the different parts of the ceremony and being flexible to let us make decisions that were right for us. She made the process easy and meaningful, and really helped us create a very memorable part of our wedding day!

We both enjoyed our meetings and other conversations with Rabbi Rayzel before our wedding, as well as her service as rabbi, leading our ceremony. We think of Rabbi Rayzel as someone who cares about the people with whom she works and interacts, and has many personal ways of showing that caring and concern. Rabbi Rayzel also has a great depth of knowledge of Judaism, and we, as well as several of our wedding guests, found her explanation of various traditional symbols at a Jewish wedding to be quite interesting and informative. We also appreciated the special artistic flair, with both music and visual arts, that Rabbi Rayzel brought to our wedding ceremony. These added touches, along with the natural and lively setting, made us feel that our wedding was created especially for us.

My wife and I contacted Rabbi Rayzel 3 days before our daughter's wedding due to an unfortunate emergency with the cantor who was officiating. Rabbi Rayzel quickly got back to us and assured us that everything would be fine and that she would take care of everything. The ceremony could not have been more perfect. It captured every emotion that could have been felt on that day. Even though, Rabbi Rayzel only spoke to my daughter and son in law once , it was like she was an old family friend. This was a first Jewish Wedding for many of our guests and the comments about the heartfelt ceremony were overwhelming. We wish everyone could experience the joy that we felt as our kids were wed. Thank you Rabbi Rayzel, you were truly a miracle!

Rabbi Raphael officiated our wedding and we could not have been happier. We met with her several times beforehand to discuss our lives and what to expect in the future as a married couple. This helped better understand each other and what we need to do as a couple to have a long, happy marriage.

The ceremony was very personal and she allowed us to tailor it however we liked. Many of our guests have told us how beautiful the ceremony was and how impressed they were with Rabbi Raphael. She helped us integrate Jewish traditions with our modern outlook on life and we couldn't be happier.

We loved every minute of it, from the ketubah signing, to our singing guests until the moment we said "I do". She fit perfectly into our wedding and we highly recommend having her part of your day!

She was very accessible even when she was on a cruise in Alaska. She was the only part of the wedding that we weren't worried about and having her sing was a beautiful touch.
