Wonderful, helpful, and welcoming
Rabbi Malka officiated our elopement, completely tailoring it to make it perfect and personal for us as an interfaith couple. She is so organized, worked with us on every detail from couples counseling to ceremony planning, and took care to ensure that we both felt truly included, represented, and comfortable throughout the process. She also worked with us on our ketubah signing, helping us finalize the Hebrew (including non-gendered language) and making sure that our families felt included in the ceremony. Rabbi Malka was such a joy to have at our elopement and ketubah signing, and she brings such positive, welcoming energy. We highly recommend working with Rabbi Malka! -

Rabbi Malka was an amazing person to help guide us through not only our wedding service, but through our engagement as a whole. We were looking for a very specific officiant who was willing and able to co-officiate our interfaith service with a pastor. Rabbi Malka welcomed our situation with open arms, and helped us understand what cultivating an interfaith ceremony, household, family, and life look like. The lessons we've learned from working with Rabbi Malka will stay with us all of our lives as we continue to honor each others differences and share in our beliefs. The ceremony that Rabbi Malka conducted for us was so beautiful, and left all of our guests with a better understanding of both faiths. We cannot thank her enough for joining us in this journey. -

Amazing Rabbi to officiate weddings
Rabbi Malka did an amazing job officiating our wedding. We really wanted to have a Jewish wedding but it was really difficult to find a rabbi because we were not a member or any temple or synagogue. She did an amazing job customizing our wedding ceremony and giving us options for which traditions we wanted to do, or leave out. She is very open minded and has a very positive vibe. -

My husband and I were looking a rabbi to co-officiate our interfaith wedding alongside a Catholic priest -- Rabbi Malka was the perfect find for us! She really got to know us leading up to the wedding, and was flexible working around our schedule. She helped us identify potential co-officants to work with as well. We got so many compliments from our family and friends about how lovely our ceremony was. Also, she could not be nicer! We are so glad we were able to meet and work with Rabbi Malka for our wedding. -

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Rabbi Malka and feel so lucky that she officiated our wedding for us. As an interfaith couple with a limited community in Georgia, we were unsure of where to go to have an experience that was special to us. We found Rabbi Malka via 18Doors and could not have found a better fit. She took the time to really get to know us as a couple and worked with us for months to customize the wedding to us, our friends and family. She was kind and gracious when we had questions or wanted to make changes to our day. Additionally, we were so grateful that she connected us with other interfaith couples as we went through the planning process. Our wedding day was unique and customized thanks to Rabbi Malka's suggestions and gentle guidance and we can't recommend her enough. -

Rabbi Malka officiated our interfaith (Jewish/Catholic) wedding in September 2023.
We loved having her as our wedding officiant.
She really got to know us and our story and incorporated all the bits and pieces into the ceremony beautifully.
She was also very considerate of the fact that many wedding attendees were not familiar with the Jewish faith and she did a great job with making everyone feel included by explaining the meaning behind the different rituals we incorporated into our wedding.
Planning a wedding big or small always includes making multiple choices. Choosing Rabbi Malka as our officiant was not only an easy one but also one of the best choices we made for our wedding and we cannot recommend her enough. -

Wonderful Officiant
We are so so glad we found Malka and that she agreed to officiate our wedding. The whole process with her was very smooth. We really enjoyed our sessions with her leading up to the wedding. She was really flexible with our schedules and we especially appreciated how flexible she was in allowing us to make the ceremony our own. We were able to choose our own way of doing the seven circles and seven blessings. We even had a last minute change in who was saying the priestly blessing that she accommodated. We got such great feedback from our guests on how much they enjoyed the ceremony and thought she did an amazing job. She really did make our ceremony very special! -

What struck us most about Rabbi Malka was her professionalism and how easy it was to be open with her about what we wanted. She really took the time to get to know us and didn’t make any assumptions about our interfaith, intercultural wedding. Don’t let her title fool you - although she is a rabbi, she has officiated a variety of interfaith weddings, which was part of what made us contact her.
Booking Rabbi Malka was very easy, which was especially important to us because we booked her on rather short notice. (Our wedding was a COVID wedding which had to be rescheduled a few times).
Rabbi Malka also won the MVP award in our hearts for helping us navigate an unexpected curveball - our videographer was late, delaying the ceremony by 15 minutes. As I was getting more and more wound up about the delay, she gently checked in with me and my husband-to-be and did a grounding exercise, which cut through my mental noise and reminded me that in the grand scheme of things, a late videographer didn’t have to ruin the day.
Lastly, on top of being super professional, she is probably one of the most fun, warm people you will ever meet. If you are on the fence about booking Rabbi Malka, do it! You won’t regret it! -

Rabbi Malka worked closely with us to conceptualize an interfaith wedding that celebrated both our cultures in a way that was meaningful for us as individuals. My husband and I are so grateful that we found Rabbi Malka! She was so lovely to work with as we prepared for our wedding. She really took the time to get to know us over multiple meetings, and we felt so comfortable with her. Though we are not very religious, Rabbi Malka helped us to incorporate Jewish traditions that reflected our values and honored our faith in a more modern way. Our guests have continued to share with us how beautiful and personal our ceremony was. We highly recommend Rabbi Malka and loved working with her!

Rabbi Malka is the best!
Rabbi malka was amazing and made our wedding so special! Leading up to the wedding she was responsive and so easy to work with and was able to educate me on the Jewish traditions for the wedding. She was able to combine my catholic background with my fiancés Jewish background and created the perfect balance for our ceremony. She added personalized moments and all of my guests loved the ceremony!! We can’t recommend her enough! -

We love Rabbi Malka! She is awesome. We love her ideals, what she stands for, and how special she made our wedding ceremony. She really got to know me and my now husband, and made our ceremony extremely personal. She's in charge of the Atlanta chapter of the non-profit 18Doors, and we have even gotten involved in some of their events like Couples Challah making. She made us feel more connected to our religion and the community, and we cannot recommend her enough to other Jewish and interfaith couples. We hope to continue our relationship with her.
**Note: all our meetings before our wedding day were virtual, and we had a small 10 person micro wedding, since we got married in February of 2021 -

Rabbi Malka was a true blessing leading up to and on our wedding day. In the months prior, we met with Rabbi Malka regularly to talk about our relationship, our wedding plans, and basically everything that came along with getting married. She really helped prepare us for the biggest day of our lives. On the actual wedding day, she was communicative, supportive, and incredibly gentle as we walked through all of the feelings. She incorporated so many special and personal moments into our ceremony, including sentimental items from family members that passed. She was thoughtful and encouraging and made the experience fun for us. Rabbi Malka is an incredible Rabbi, and if you're lucky enough to book her, I know you'll be as happy as we were. -

Rabbi Malka was amazing from start to finish in helping us not only plan and officiate our wedding, including helping us create a completely personalized ceremony experience, but also in helping me and my husband prepare for what an interfaith marriage would look like after the wedding day. Furthermore, she has been a great resource in the months and years since that beautiful day. She has helped us navigate through interfaith holidays and other topics, connected us to other interfaith couples who have since become close friends, and is an amazing source of strength and love. Officiant who puts her heart into everything she does
Rabbi Malka is extremely personable and relatable. With the help of her premartial counseling and Love and Religion group, my husband and I were able to go into our marriage stronger and more accepting of each other. Through our interactions she was able to put together a heartfelt and personal ceremony tailored to us as a couple. The whole experience was better than I could have ever expected. Even two months after getting married we constantly have family and friends talking about how our service was one of the best they had ever been to. Rabbi Malka was a blessing from the heavens! My husband and I come from different backgrounds and practice various forms of spirituality. Malka fluidly wove the textures of our backgrounds and current beliefs into a contemporary Jewish wedding ceremony. We were happy and so were our families! Not only did she make the ceremony heartfelt, relatable and intimate, she spent many months together with us in private sessions, getting to know us and helping us better understand each other. Kind and thoughtful Rabbi for non-traditional Jewish ceremonies
Rabbi Malka was incredible to work with. Right from the start she understood the challenges we were facing as an inter-faith couple and counseled us on the choices we'd have to make when marrying and starting a family. We met with her multiple times before the wedding, and she helped us vocalize our concerns and also share our excitement. She tailored the ceremony perfectly to us, and did such a great job explaining each part of the ceremony to our guests, many of whom had never been to a Jewish ceremony before. She brought all of our guests through the rituals together. Rabbi Malka also put is in touch with other young couples she had officiated for and got us involved in other programming by her organization, InterFaith Families. We are so grateful to have met Rabbi Malka, were thrilled that she performed our wedding, and look forward to staying involved with her and her organization in the future. -

Kelsey Sent on 09/30/2018We had such an amazing experience with Malka! My now father-in-law found her through some google searching after we were having a tough time finding an officiant. We live in Miami, but were getting married in Savannah, GA and were looking for a rabbi who fit with our beliefs and was willing to work with us on creating a personal and meaningful ceremony. Well as soon as we spoke to her I knew we found our rabbi!
Malka was so warm and welcoming and really wanted to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. We met with her several times over Skype discussing the ceremony and working through some marital workbooks. The workbooks really helped us explore our relationship and get to know each other better. We also had to write a letter to each other and give it to Malka so she could use it in our ceremony and give it to us on our wedding day. Everything we did leading up to the wedding helped us grow closer as a couple and made us so excited for the ceremony.
When it came to planning the ceremony Malka was so helpful in giving us guidance and information and also allowing us to include our own touches. When we decided to get married we thought really hard about what we wanted the ceremony to be like. We wanted everyone to understand the language, for it to feel warm and welcoming, and for each part to hold a meaning and not just feel like we were doing a ritual just because we were "supposed" to. Malka gave us exactly what we wanted. In my (completely biased) opinion, it was one of the more meaningful and beautiful ceremonies I have attended. All of our guests commented on how wonderful Malka was and how beautiful the ceremony was. After the wedding we went to Sicily for our honeymoon and opened our letters over looking the sunset. It was such a beautiful moment and I am so thankful that Malka did that for us. We could not be happier and cannot recommend Malka enough! -

She combined warmth, love, humor, and tradition in what many guests were telling us was the "best wedding they'd ever been to." She perfectly captured the love my husband and I have for each other, and explained each ritual in our wedding so our guests felt welcomed and included. She was open to tailoring every part of the ceremony so it was unique to us, which was so refreshing. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, including the groom! If you want a memorable wedding, you NEED to work with Rabbi Packer-Monroe!

Rabbi Malka made sure to get to know us and understand us as a couple. We met in person every time we were in town during our engagement, and spoke on Skype as well. We felt comfortable with her and she made everything easy, worry-free, and fun. She worked hard to ensure that our ceremony was everything we wanted, allowing us to mix and match traditional and alternative elements in a way that was most meaningful to us. Rabbi Malka made our ceremony feel very intimate, warm, and special. We can’t thank her enough and enthusiastically recommend her to any couple.

We had regular communication with her via Skype to discuss the details of the ceremony and talk about our plans for our marriage. She had incredible suggestions for how to integrate our family and friends into the ceremony, especially those who don't identify as Jewish. While we had a jewish ceremony, we had readings and blessings from our loved ones outside of the traditional forms. Rabbi Malka is incredibly understanding, loving and kind in her work with couples and I can't recommend her enough! Thank you for everything! -

We are a same-sex couple that wanted to have a traditional Jewish but also modern and unique wedding, and she helped guide us until we had planned the perfect ceremony that included all of the elements that were important to both of us. During the ceremony, she sang and spoke about our love story, we circled each other, we drank wine, broke glasses, and danced our way out of the ceremony. It was truly unforgettable and emotional.
