Fabulous experience with a large Hindu wedding. 10/10 recommend!

Jay was the best planner we could have asked for. He was truly a joy to work with and went above and beyond to make our vision a reality! Jay has decades of experience in the wedding industry and it really shows - he guided us effortlessly through every step of the way, leveraged his industry contacts to our advantage, and even helped us navigate discussions with our families along the way. His day-of team was also exceptional and took care of every single one of our needs, even the ones we didn’t know we needed. Jay and his team seamlessly navigated every potential crisis (which were few and far between, due to the meticulous planning!) with ease. If we had to do plan our wedding all over again, we would choose to work with Jay ten times out of ten!

Jay and his team are professionals. He knows all the pieces that need to come together for a successful event and makes things happen. He made our wedding look, sound, and run great. From planning beforehand to MCing at our reception, he had the details of each step covered and everything was so easy for us. A true professional!!

Jay Rana is an industry veteran and expert. He made the process so seamless for us from beginning to end. We were pretty open about our preferences and didn't have one specific vision, and Jay helped us structure our program and guided us every step of the way. His professionalism is only accentuated by how he makes you feel at ease and in good hands throughout the entire process. He expertly worked with our planner and hotel coordinator directly as well and we didn't have to worry about any of the logistical details. All of our friends and family raved about how Jay lit up the dance floor! He follows the vibes and gets everyone hype and engaged, feeling the crowd and driving the energy. One thing that we really wanted was a high-energy reception dance floor and Jay helped this dream come true and beyond; he also provided the same great experience at the Sangeet and Baraat (we didn't have a dholi so we were relying only on Jay to hype up the crowd at the Baraat). Thank you so much Jay for giving us an incredible experience as our DJ!!

He Could Inspire a Stone to Dance

Words cannot describe how happy we are with the work of Jay Rana and his team. For our 3 day Hindu/Jewish hybrid wedding, he kept the party going. His team understands how to scan the crowd and select a song accordingly. Additionally, he was able to connect us with several musicians who were all high quality and came at reasonable prices.

Most importantly, he was extremely responsive. He usually got back to us within minutes. Additionally, he helped guide us through the process of selecting songs for critical moments of the wedding.

I have nothing bad to say about the experience Jay Rana provided us. He was perfect.

The best wedding entertainment team you could hire!

Jay Rana and his team were absolutely fantastic! My husband and I had been planning our wedding reception since April 2019, and due to the pandemic, we postponed our reception till Sept 2021. Jay was so wonderful in supporting all the five times I had to change the reception date, and especially with helping me plan out a perfect and unique schedule, and style of events that I didn't have much previous experience with, what with this being my first wedding and all!

He was always so quick to respond to any of the million questions I'd have, and helped me so much than he probably realizes! Truly a very talented all-rounder in the wedding entertainment industry!

On the day of the reception, him and his team were absolutely phenomenal, and definitely brought it! I didn't think his service could get even more amazing, but it did - the music, the vibe, the energy, everything was insane! So many guests took down his info to hire them for their events, and my Maid of Honor hired Jay Rana Events for her upcoming wedding reception!!!

Thank you again so much Jay, we could not have made a better choice on hiring you and will definitely do so if any opportunities come up in the future!

Amazing and consistent communication and flexibility

Jay was the best decision we could have made for our wedding! My fiancé and I were hesitant about having a traditional Indian wedding and he took that into consideration and worked with us to make sure we were comfortable with the day's events and all the moving pieces while also making sure our parents needs were met. He responded promptly every time any of us reached out to him in the past 8 months and made himself available to us 24/7 for questions and support. He was respectful the entire way and always received our constant questions and type A personalities with a smile and prompt answers. We all enjoyed a stress-free wedding weekend because of his hard work and professionalism. Thank you Jay!

Jay is exceptional

Jay was, and is, without fail, one of the best things about our wedding and reception. We spoke to him in Feb 2020, and as I'm sure you can imagine, all hell broke loose by March for our October 2020 wedding - and the reception, which got moved from the wedding day to March, then May, then a full year after the wedding...all of which Jay helmed. By the time the reception came around, our wedding planner was book for the day and Jay seamlessly took on the role of planner, coordinating with vendors and ensuring that our day was smooth, full of laughter and great emcee'ing, and that people never left the dance floor. His dhol player was a HIGHLIGHT of the dance floor, and Jay's attention to detail (particularly the way he choreographs entrances) was actually a surprise to me too: I didn't expect to be surrounded by our loved ones when I walked in, but he had everyone on their feet and it was one of the most memorable moments of my life.

Jay remains a friend to this day - he checks in, still shares in our relationship, and has earned not only my loyalty as a customer but as a friend after working with him. Hiring him will be an amazing add to your wedding.

Just amazing!

Jay & DJ Mohnish kept our dance floor rocking all night long!

From the first day I spoke with Jay I instantly felt his positive energy and understood why he came so highly recommended. Not only did he work it out to add my wedding on last minute, he also rolled with the punches when I needed to change a venue just 2 weeks before. When it was raining the night of our first event, he coordinated with my family and other vendors to make sure the flow of the entire party worked with the logistical changes that had to be made. He was not only a GREAT MC that kept my crowd engaged for 2 nights in a row but also helped us achieve a "picture perfect" moment at the reception that blew our guests away and gave us a memory to cherish for a lifetime. My guests continue to rave about the dance floor never being empty and how impressed they were with the music. I truly feel our pictures in the ballroom came out brighter and more beautiful because of the gorgeous uplighting that Jay placed around the room, which he took time to coordinate with my decorator. THANKYOU Jay & Mohnish for helping me spend those nights exactly how I wanted, dancing with my husband!

We were amazed to see how professional DJ Jay Rana event was. During the event, Jay Rana made his presence known to our guests with a welcome introduction, engaged the crowd, played all our requests and he was very well prepared and organized.

We are so happy we booked to Jay to DJ our wedding reception. He hyped up the crowd, assessed what music would work best with our friends and family, and was flexible in taking on the spot requests. Jay and his team were absolutely amazing! Let me put it out there, that I was not your typical bride. Had a crazy work schedule and school schedule, and literally had no idea what I wanted for the wedding/reception. But from my first email to Jay to wrapping up the reception, Jay and his team, took charge and made it happen. He was very easy to communicate with, to contact and working out all the little details, especially with the pandemic. Our Favorite Wedding Vendor!

Jay Rana was the best! I don't take these reviews lightly and I feel compelled to write a 5 star review for Jay even though my husband already did. Jay was our most helpful wedding vendor during the planning stages as well as the actual events. Jay helped us plan several technical "day of" details and created an agenda for each of our events. Jay even helped with aspects of the wedding that had nothing to do with the music or entertainment (for example, Jay gave my family suggestions for people who could help with Safa style turban tying). Jay's network is extensive and he is more than happy to share his tips and contacts with you.

Jay was professional, organized, calm, and thorough while also keeping his focus on helping us have fun with our guests. Thanks to Jay (and the love from our family and friends!) we had a very memorable Sangeet and Reception and danced each night away.

Jay is not only amazing at what he does, but he is genuine and a real pleasure to work with. You will be doing yourself a favor if you book Raaz Entertainment/Jay Rana for your wedding.

1. Initiated many conversations leading up to the wedding to ensure we were on track with respect to his services
2. He helped edit, splice, and combine different songs for our sangeet and reception dances
3. He helped prepare the bridal party for their enterances and noted individual song requests
4. He provided all technology advances including lighting, TVs, and van for every event, including baraat and wedding ceremonies
5. He was able to improvise with last minute requests and program changes seamlessly

Jay was a delight to work with! He was prompt in his responses and helped me out with wedding information/resources unrelated to DJ services. Jay was also really patient and understanding when I was late with information or changed my mind about things. During the events he was energetic and engaging and knew how to pump up the crowd.

Jay and his team were exceptional in their service. We had three events and Jay made it possible that they were successful. Jay's persistence, his smile, his hair :-P , but most importantly his ability to connect with the crowd at a personal level is phenomenal. Working with Raaz Entertainment was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. Jay and his team were unbelievably prepared from the moment we walked in the door and helped us make every detail special. They came to us with ideas that made the day even better and when we had special requests they knocked it out of the park. On the day of the wedding, they had the party on the dance floor from the beginning of the reception until the very last song. People have been coming up to us ever since the wedding asking how we found our DJ, because they enjoyed him so much. To put it simply, Jay (from Raaz Entertainment) is the consummate professional. From the time we had our first meeting with Jay, we were amazed by his knowledge and attention to details. Jay was great in helping us visualize and conceptualizer all our events, including the Sangeet, baraat, and reception. He is an expert on determining how much lighting is appropriate to make the ballroom look just right. Jay made extra trips for me to the wedding venue to ensure other vendors (i.e. Decorator, wedding coordinator) were on the same page.

We had 2 DJ's for our events, DJ Parth (Sangeet) and DJ Amit K (Reception). Both DJ's were fantastic and played songs that the crowd would react to.

But the real reason to chose Raaz Ent is the mic skills of Jay Rana. Throughout all the events, Jay was keeping the crowd hyped and on the dance floor. Jay also keeps in constant communication with the DJ's to help ensure the guests are happy with the songs being played. Our reception was extended by an hour because the party and the music were phenomenal.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Raaz Entertainment and Jay Rana. He made our wedding weekend memorable. He's the best in the business!

Jay and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with! They seriously are the definition of professionalism. Jay made it a point to go above and beyond for his clients. Any question I had, even if it was outside of the scope of his contract-I knew Jay was willing to help me answer it. If Jay didn't have the answer (which was rare), he always directed me to someone who could help.

For both our Sangeet and Reception-Jay and his team really threw a party. They respected every request we had, and our guests didn't feel like they were at the same party two nights in a row even though we were using the same entertainment company. The dance floor was completely packed both nights, and our crowd was begging for more songs at the end of the reception night. Jay is quick to think on his feet, and was all around a great addition to our wedding weekend. Towards the end of the whole wedding planning process, we felt like we were talking to a friend. I cannot recommend Raaz entertainment enough!

Our wedding day was during the blizzard of 2016 and that didn't stop Raaz Entertainment from rocking the house!! They were on point with everything from the moment we started the Baraat in the morning through the ceremony, cocktail hour and then the reception. Jay is extremely professional, thoughtful, and responsive. He takes the time to understand the bride &groom - their likes/dislikes, preferences, concerns, etc. It really is very hands on. He is a fantastic MC and his DJs are some of the best in the business. They had the dance floor rocking and people danced until 1:30am!! If you want true hands-on service, top-notch professionalism, and someone you can rely on snow or shine - I would highly recommend Raaz entertainment. We can't thank you guys enough!!

My family and I were looking for a DJ for my wedding. We searched couple of places but no one really made us feel comfortable enough to book them. Our first meeting with Jay Rana made us feel very comfortable because he was just so confident about his work. He explained everything in detail and what was important for our function. I explained to him that my fiancé's side of the family is shy and I needed Jay to bring them all to the dance floor and Jay promised that he would have everyone on their feet. As we were preparing for the wedding, he always kept us on track and did everything that was for our benefit. At the end he wasn't providing services just to make money, he also builds relations, which to me is an amazing quality in any vendor. As the wedding day was coming close, he had everything in order and honestly I had nothing to worry about. When the day of the garba/wedding/reception came, he did as he promised and had everyone on their feet, even people that never danced before. Every single person that came to our events loved Raaz Entertainment. Jay was amazing during our wedding. He had the crowd on their feet the entire time and had unbelievable energy. He is a true professional that is very responsive to both the couple and the crowd. Planning a 300 guest wedding in itself is quite tedious, stressful, and being organized and efficient in getting things done goes a long way. After our final meetings with the 15-odd vendors we chose to pull together our wedding we finally met with Jay Rana of Raaz Entertainment. After our 45 minute meeting it was the first time in over 8 months that we finally felt at ease and in good hands. Jay is the embodiment of professionalism which was demonstrated in his demeanor from the contracting through execution phase. He is knowledgeable about every aspect of what goes into a wedding and his expertise shined through on our big day - we chose to have him and his team with us for the entire day ! He seamlessly worked with our caterers, banquet hall organizers, decorators and others to create a smooth transition between all of our events. The electric personality that him and DJ Amit brought to the evening reception was simply indescribable. I have never in my life at any reception seen such a jam packed dance floor at ALL TIMES ! The duo kept the crowd entertained for hours ! So much so that many of our guests forgot to eat the sumptuous dinner buffet simply because they were having such an amazing time! The value proposition Raaz Entertainment brings is unmatched by anyone else. The intangibles (not specified on the contract or sold as add-ons) that are offered by Jay and his team aren't to be found elsewhere. His services are a bargain at any price to say the least. Thanks for all that you did to make our wedding day incredibly memorable !

Jay was a pleasure to work with and did an AMAZING job! I received so many compliments from our wedding guests on how well organized and entertaining the whole team was. I hired RAAZ entertainment for my wedding and that was a great decision. From the morning bharaat party van, to the cocktail hour, and reception, they did not let the party die down. Carlos, the MC kept the crowd engaged and the DJ kept the party music going. They were incredibly friendly, punctual, and definitely well worth it. Raaz entertainement is a secret your missing out on if you haven't hired them yet. I had them hired for my wedding garba, wedding and reception and they did a fantastic job making sure the crowd was entertained. the dj spun great hits, and our MC Jay was and still is the talk in the family as to how energetic and amazing he was! he takes the time to coach you, learn your names and interacts with you and the guests and everyone loved how he engaged them all. We had him stay past our midnight time since the party just wouldn't stop! Even my in laws are raving about him and want him to come host a few events, including another family wedding! There amazing and so much fun to work with, I highly suggest any bride or groom having them entertain your guests at your wedding!

Jay and his entire team did an incredible job at our wedding celebrations! They were patient and handled every situation in the most professional manner. We could not have had a better DJ than him. We love him and his team!!!! He worked with us with a lot of professionalism and was very quick in responding to any of our needs. We enjoyed working with him from the first time we met him. From the get go he showed us how he can adapt to situations within a matter of a few moments by giving us a sample intro. We loved it. As the wedding day approached he helped us in preparing performance mixes for all our dances. We appreciate him for being patient with us even while we changed the mixes many times. He was able to ensure the mixes were made right even though we lived so far away and were not able to see him in person. We were overjoyed when he made it to the Garba. (He had mentioned that he might not be able to make it) The whole Garba night was amazing. He was ready way before time and we enjoyed dancing throughout the night. On the wedding day the baraat van was beautifully decorated and he managed the time throughout the day. Everyone loved the baraat music, and we loved how he kept everyone’s energy up and dancing. Evening Reception was outstanding. He prepared the immediate family members before the entrance, where they should go and what they should do. It definitely helped all of us to not to be nervous. He took charge of the reception program and made sure it goes smoothly. DJ Parth was awesome that night. He played great songs to make everyone dance the night away. Our guests danced until end of the night and had such a great time that they didn’t want the night to end. We made a great choice in having him as our DJ. This wedding would not have been as much fun without him and his team.

We can not say enough wonderful things about Jayesh Rana and his team, RaazENT. He is an exceptionally warm and relatable MC that really gets the crowd going. From our one on one interactions he was very professional yet kind in helping us plan for the various aspects of our wedding and reception. He didn't miss a beat the entire night and we had many guests compliment us on our MC and music choices (which were of course all thanks to his team). The unique thing about this review is that not only did I have him and his team provide the entertainment at our wedding but as did my brother and my brother in law as well. Jay was the life of our party, he pumped up the crowd and connected with the audience, which made us feel totally at ease!! We literally never wanted our party to end because it was just that good! Jay did so much for us, from putting our mixes together to prepping our family for the bridal and reception entrances - it was above and beyond our expectations. The baraat was amazing, we loved how you got everyone involved and the music was excellent.

There are not enough words to express how amazing Jay is. He left a big signature on the most memorable day of our life. Jay Rana is an excellent Emcee. I particularly appreciated his interaction with the guests to getting them moving around and excited. The leadership of his team is tremendous. I couldn't recommend Jay more highly. I have been to many blowout Indian weddings and all the DJ/MCs have always been able to hype the crowd and keep everyone dancing. Jay was no exception. What really impressed me about Jay, and where I think he stands apart from those other DJs, was his ability to work on his toes. We threw plenty of curve balls on the days of our Sangeet and Reception. Not only did Jay address our concerns, but he was able to turn things that we thought were disasters into positives.

For example: at our Sangeet, one of my friends was supposed to announce each of the performances. Instead, he gave a speech and sat down. Without missing a beat, Jay announced each of the performances, knew how to say everyone's names; it worked out perfectly. Everyone that did performances was also very pleased with their interactions with Jay leading up to the Sangeet.

Jay is very personable, easy to work with, and (most importantly) gets you what you want without you needing to expend much effort explaining exactly what it is you want.

He made our wedding day great.

MC Jay rocked the baraat and got everyone to dance, got the crowd hyped at the reception and DJ Parth got the party pumping and played all the songs we love. It was an incredible music experience.
Most importantly, Jay took all the stress off of us - he was cool and calm when we talked a couple weeks prior to our wedding and I knew I could let go and trust him with the day.

After meeting with multiple DJs, we ultimately hired Jayesh Rana and Raaz Entertainment to be our DJs - and we could not have been happier. From day 1 Jayesh worked with us, patiently, as we changed and augmented our reception program, sought music recommendations, worked out the first dance, entrances, etc. etc. etc. With each step Jayesh was welcoming, understanding, and above all else - patient and flexible. We never felt rushed or forced into his suggestions, but we were very thankful to have his insight.

In addition, at the very last minute (with just a week remaining) we decided to have music at the ceremony... Raaz Entertainment didn't miss a step and seamlessly included that into our overall package. It was wonderful that Jayesh was able to accommodate such a late request without charging us any outlandish last minute fee.

Raaz Entertainment also supplied the uplighting and pinspots for the reception venue, which was professionally and tastefully placed. These touches gave the venue a great appeal.

Unlike other DJs I have seen, Jayesh did an excellent job of being just present enough during the reception to get people comfortable and excited but not so over the top as to distract from the happy couple. Jayesh created the excitement and then let the party happen around him, a great trait in any MC.

Jay put my mind at ease knowing how involved and helpful he would be at our meetings as well as on the day of our wedding (and he was!) He went over detail for detail what our agenda would look like, provided insight using his experience and knowledge of event management/planning, considered our vision and delivered it! Raaz Ent. was full of energy, highly engaging, and by 11am, our family and friends had already given us positive feedback about them. They definitely got the party started during the morning baraat. To sum it up, I did not want our wedding reception to end! The music, the energy, and interactions were by far, unforgettable, thanks to Raaz Ent. Jay made us feel like we had been friends with his level of interaction and his professionalism; during meetings, he takes the time to get to know the couple to bring their story and love to life for your wedding guests. HIGHLY Recommended!

Jay Rana was very accommodating, quick with responses, and had great ideas to help us with our vision. We did not have to stress about the music, equipment, etc because Raaz entertainment was on top of it.

We worked with Jay during the whole time while planning our reception events and music at the Westin, Jersey City, NJ. Jay himeslf was the MC at out reception and did an outstanding job the entire evening & night. He was very energetic, kept the party going all night and got people to dance and cheer (including older folks who normally wouldn't shake a leg!!!) He also made sure we were good on time and kept things moving throughout the night from the entrances to the first dance to the toasts/speeches to the cake cutting, etc. He worked with us the entire time and made us feel very comfortable and we knew the exact schedule of events well in advance and there were no surprises- which is a good thing at your own wedding.
We did provide a list of about 30 tracks based on what we liked & our friends would enjoy. However, the DJ stuck to his own playlist for the most part. This wasn't a bad thing however, it would have been nice to have more of the songs we chose since we had picked them out in the first place. All in all Raaz ent. team was extremely professional while making sure everyone had a great time at the reception. We would recommend anyone to hire their services for their big day or any other event.

We hired Raaz Entertainment to be our DJ for our wedding and reception. Overrall DJ Jayesh Rana and Raaz Entertainment were good. They provided good music and everybody at my wedding had a good time. However, we did have a couple of issues before and during the wedding. It was hard to get a hold of DJ Jay the weeks leading up to the wedding. Also, my husband and I took dance lessons and had a dance routine for our first dance. The DJ cut off our first dance song before we could do our final dip. Also, we had a mix of indian and non-indians at our wedding and although the dance floor was packed for most of the night the DJ wouldn't take requests from several of our friends and he didn't play as many non-indian songs as we would have liked. Thinking about it more we should have talked to him more about exactly what we wanted and told him to listen to people more.

We hired an out of town DJ because we saw the positive reviews on weddingwire. We were VERY disappointed. Jay and his team did not follow our directions, honor our requests, or treat our guests very well. I had given specific directions and requested certain songs during the ceremony. While he played some of them, he took liberties in playing other songs he wanted instead. The volume was also incredibly loud right after the ceremony.

At the reception, before simply introducing us like we had asked, he tried to "hype up" the audience by making it seem like more of a sports event than a classy wedding. When the wedding coordinator asked him to wrap it up, he ignored her and went on for 10 minutes before introducing us! He also convinced me not to have my parents walk in to the hall to the song I requested and instead played more bad, loud music. Further, numerous guests told me they had requested songs and asked the volume to be turned down, only for him to snub them.

The only saving grace to the entire experience was the baraat. It was well done and he got the crowd very involved. Sadly, it wasn't enough to save our experience for the rest of the time. When picking a DJ make sure that you pick someone who will honor YOUR VISION for the wedding and not follow an agenda of their own.
