After two failed covid attempts, my daughter finally had her dream wedding in Bar Harbor this past July....thanks in no small part to our wedding planner (who we like to think became our friend). Like other reviewers have stated....if you're looking to get married in, MDI...LOOK NO FURTHER than Sisson Events to plan your wedding day! Rachel is incredibly smart, kind, attentive, enthusiastic, punctual, innovative and full of fabulous wedding ideas. This clearly wasn't her first rodeo! Rachel was incredibly helpful when it came to the small details -- she helped us devise a timeline for our day, down to 15 minute increments, which I wouldn't have thought to do without her. She had truly thought of everything --like beautiful vases on the tables that really contributed to the mood of our wedding. Finally, Rachel was incredibly relaxed, which was just what needed in a joyful, but stressful, time of planning! Would definitely recommend. -

Our wedding would not have been the same without Rachel Sisson and her team. We had family and friends traveling from all over the world and wanted to spend time with them vs trying to plan and organize. Rachel was absolutely amazing to work with and made the whole wedding planning experience fun and easy for us. A friend recommended Rachel and we are so grateful because working with her made the whole process really enjoyable. We had conceptual ideas about what we wanted to do, but she knew how to make it happen and thought of every possible detail, so we didn't have to worry about forgetting something important. Not only is she the most organized and knowledgeable person, but she literally knows every single vendor in the greater MDI area, so working with her makes everything run seamlessly.

Rachel is the absolute best!
If we could recommend one partner in our entire wedding planning, it would be Rachel. She is the most organized, calm, cool, thoughtful person, and she was so integral in bringing our wedding together. We had a long engagement, and we booked Rachel about a year and a half before our wedding date. She balanced the most amazing organizational skills with a relaxed attitude, and she helped us prioritize our list of tasks. She also is close with all of the MDI wedding companies, and is constantly speaking with BHCC, Salt Farm Flowers and others which made the whole process feel more unified. Dream Wedding Planner
RL Sisson Events is the answer to your prayers. We retained Rachel’s services to plan our Welcome Party and wedding in July 2021 and it was easily the single best decision we made in planning these events. We love Bar Harbor but planned our wedding celebration in 6 months from 5 hours away. Once we picked our date and venue, Rachel outreaches to some wonderful bands and pointed us in the direction of bands who were available for our date. She is incredibly creative, helping to come up with ideas that would help us bring our vision to life without breaking our budget. Always responsive, she was also really wonderful at keeping stress levels low for us (the couple) and our parents. She manages money, logistics, vendors and emotions with such poise and grace, she's a total wonder! She stepped in to help us coordinate our rehearsal dinner at the last minute and made it an incredibly seamless event. We would hire her over again, again and again. We chose Rachel as our Day-of-Coordinator, but she was so much more than that. She helped us with decisions big and small throughout the planning process and was always good about responding with factual, relevant information.
