My husband and I had a short engagement, and Quivey's Grove was one of the few places that had our date available, offered a lovely setting, and was affordable. We used QG for both our ceremony and reception. The good: It's one-stop shopping. Once we signed with QG, our venue, alcohol and catering were done. We chose to eat in the Stone House, which is lovely enough that all we needed were a few bouquets of farmers' market flowers in each room. The food was delicious and our guests raved about their meal. They were also able to accommodate a guest who hadn't RSVP'd but showed up the day of the wedding.
The bad: Their record-keeping seems a bit...archaic. First, they didn't record that we had paid our deposit to reserve our date, even though they had cashed it. Second, we didn't get our estimated bill until about a week before the wedding, even though half of the payment was supposed to be due two weeks out. Finally, they only communicate via snail mail or phone, no email at all. Not only was this frustrating, but the wedding planner screwed up half of our beer order and we ended up getting something that we didn't really care for and more of than we really wanted.
All in all, I would recommend Quivey's Grove for the quality, ambiance and food, but only to those couples who can go with the flow and trust that it'll all turn out okay.
