Will always recommend!

We chose Queen of Cakes for our wedding dessert after trying their vegan chocolate cake at a friend’s wedding (it was delicious by normal cake standards, not to mention vegan!).

They were very friendly and easy to work with throughout the whole process; their wedding cake trial is affordable and convenient, and so is ordering and pick-up. We got filled sheet cakes of the vanilla with tripleberry mousse, chocolate with amaretto mousse, and vegan chocolate with raspberry, and a two-tier chocolate with chocolate mousse and chocolate ganache. (The last flavor was suggested by Terry when I asked her for the “chocolatest” flavor, and I am so grateful!) My friend picked them up from the shop on the day of the wedding, which was also so easy.

Our only mix-up was that the chocolate amaretto sheet cake was “lost” by our catering team who cut it and served it, and potentially grouped it with the vegan cake on the dessert table. I don’t know what the labels on the cakes looked like, but I wanted to let you know of the mix-up we had so you can consider it in future packaging/labeling decisions!

Beyond that snafu, though: every flavor was delicious, we got so many compliments, and the servings are generous. Thank you! You truly are the Queen!

Cake to die for.

Obviously the cake needs to taste amazing and look great, and this cake was 100% that. We loved that we easily determined which flavors we loved at our tasting and the entire selection process was enjoyable and efficient. Also- the whipped topping was phenomenal! our guests raved about the cake, what more could you want!? Thanks Queen of Cakes!

SO yummy!!!

Terri is amazing. She sat down with my mother and I and allowed us to sample all of the cake flavors. She listened to our ideas and drew them up as we spoke. She gave us a quote and even allowed us to let our imaginations soar. She is willing to try new things just to allow you to get the look you desire. Very approachable, very reasonable and so knowledgeable.

We LOVED our cake! We had a smaller tired cake for the cake cutting photos and then ordered 3 different flavors of sheet cake for the wedding guests. Our special cake was exactly as we wanted and we couldn’t be happier! Our guests loved that we had different options to choose from. And having Queen of Cakes deliver the cakes on the day of our wedding was nice to have one less thing to worry about! The cakes were all very delicious, we have some leftovers and have been enjoying it all week! We highly recommend Queen of Cakes!!

The cake was amazing, the folks that run this shop are the best in the business. We had a ton of comments on how great the cake was. We had looked at a ton of different shops and tasted multiple places. Don't let the size of this bakery fool you, the make the BEST cake in the twin cites!!!!!

Queen of Cakes made our wedding cake and we would highly recommend them--they make the best cake and they have the best customer service! From the cake tasting to the day of the wedding, they were so helpful and friendly. You won't find better cake, better service, or better prices!

Queen of Cakes has made 12+ cakes for me over the past 18 months. I found them after a very snotty pastry chef at Byerlys wanted to charge me $700 for a birthday cake for my granddaughter and would not guarantee they could keep it safe for nut allergies. Queen of cakes really worked with me to make the exact cake, offering suggestions for lowering the price (smooth buttercreme frosting vs. fondant). Three tiers, tops turvey, hot pink, black, silver, for a third of the price. Allergy safe and delicious! They were amazing, helpful, very creative and KIND. They have made horses, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, Paw Patrol, astronaut in space, mermaid, under the sea, golfing, and Wizard of OZ with all the key characters! They will accept your design ideas, come up with their own, or partner with you to create a masterpiece for your event. Best part is the cakes taste amazing with many flavors and fillings to choose from. I highly recommend them!!!

Terri and the entire Queen of Cakes team blew us away!!! Not only were they wonderful people to work with, but the cake was DELICIOUS!!! And we didn't ask for just any cake...we had a very specific request...and it wasn't easy...or at least we thought. But Terri made it come to life and she far exceeded our expectations!!! Our friends and family are still raving over it!!! Highly, HIGHLY recommend...prices were fair, quality was incredible, responsiveness was perfection, and we LOVED coming into the cake studio for our tasting and meeting everyone!!! LOVED!!!!

When looking for a wedding cake vendor, look no further than Queen of Cakes! We have used them for several cakes beyond our wedding cake and it's hands down the best cake you will ever eat. They have several options to choose from and all are so delicious it can be difficult to make a choice (a good problem to have). We brought in a photo of what we wanted for our wedding cake and they made it exactly how it was shown in the photo. Not only is the quality the highest, but working with Terri is such a positive experience--she is such a kind, patient and all around wonderful person! We do not have enough positive things to say about them. We love using them for all of our cakes and highly recommend them!

Queen of Cakes was the second bakery we met with when searching for someone to do our wedding cake. I had a particular vision of how I wanted our wedding cake decorated and so I had made a drawing of it because I wasn't finding any photographs like it online. The first bakery flat out said it couldn't be done. Queen of Cakes had no such issues. At our first meeting we were given several different methods of how they could achieve the design I was requesting. I was contacted a couple of times closer to the big day to make sure that they definitely understood what I was looking for. It was perfect! Exactly what I had envisioned. I was so happy. Plus, it tasted great too! I would definitely use them for anything I need a cake or cupcakes for in the future.

High quality customer service and delicious wedding cake are what you can expect from the Queen of Cakes. You can only bring one person with you to the tasting (the space is limited), but it was my favorite tasting of the 3 different bakeries I tried. Stephanie helped us and she was very informative and provided suggestions on how to achieve the look I was after. Queen of Cakes will give you up-front, easy to understand pricing (basically, you pay per serving with some add-on fees for extras like hand painting, but the basic decorations are included). I found some other bakers were not so transparent with their prices. We ordered a 4-tier cake (6 inch, 8 inch, 10 inch and 12 inch) which served about 127. There were so many cake flavors I loved that we decided to get three different flavors - white with chocolate mousse, marble with raspberry mousse, and lemon with strawberry mousse. We listed the different flavors on the dinner menu and the the guests got to choose, which was appreciated. We also rented their beautiful gold stand which was free (the deposit is refunded if returned within a few days of the wedding). After placing my order, the baker and owner contacted me several times to verify things and finalize the design. The customer service was superb, and well above and beyond the service you're likely to get the larger wedding cake bakeries in the Twin Cities.

The staff at Queen of Cakes was amazing, they spoke with me several times about how I wanted my cake and made it look PERFECT for my wedding day. I appreciate how accommodating they were and made me feel so valued. I purchased a 2 layer cake for pictures and cutting, it was 6 inch on the top round with ivory color and the bottom was 8 inch with all gold color, SO BEAUTIFUL!

We were pleased with our experience at Queen of Cakes and especially with Terri. She gave us multiple taste testing sessions because my (now) husband and I lived out of town. She listened to our needs and helped us create a plan on the tiered cake and sheet cakes in order to save some money. The cake was so moist and the frosting was perfect! We had several guests comment on the tastiness of the cake. Terri also created a perfect texture to our wedding cake that we loved. She was so helpful and accommodating! I highly recommend Terri and Queen of Cakes!

Queen of Cakes (and Terri, the owner!) was a perfect vendor for our wedding cupcakes! Terri let us do a number of varieties and combinations (with no minimums), and decorated them to perfectly match our theme. They have cupcake stands to rent, and honestly - the cupcakes are just as good (if not better!) than the much-more-expensive cupcake-only vendors out there! My only gripe is that the cupcakes were so good that they disappeared so quickly! Next time, I would order at least two for every guest!

This is a wonderful cake vendor. QoC is open to different options in terms of style and design. They will set realistic expectations of what they can design and what is better suited elsewhere. I really appreciated that they were the one vendor that did not stress out the bride…they were demanding and they allowed us the time we needed to get all of the elements together to determine what we wanted. The pricing was very reasonable considering how beautiful the cakes are and the wonderful taste of the cakes. I ultimately provided a photo of the design I wanted, and our cake was absolutely beautiful!

Working with Terri and the staff at Queen of Cakes was awesome! We have used Queen of Cakes for birthdays, our engagement party and knew we wanted book with he but we met with other wedding cake vendors to do our homework. Queen of Cakes is the best all-around, there are the most flavored that you can customize to your liking, creative designs (best for themed birthdays), easy service, and a great price! We went for white cake with triple berry filling and buttercream frosting for our main cake. Then for additional flavors and to serve all guests, we had sheet cake of chocolate cake, baileys filling and chocolate buttercream cake. They were absolutely delicious and we had received tons of compliments from the wedding guests!
Queen of Cakes helped make our wedding day fabulous and we can't wait to work with Terri and the rest of the staff for future celebrations!

Terri and the Queen of Cakes Wedding Team were absolutely phenomenal! They made our "Bride and Groom's" cake for cutting and we could not have been more thrilled! It was absolutely stunning! We hired Queen of Cakes for our June wedding of 2016, and could not have been any happier with the service that they provided. Not only was our cake delicious, but it was more beautiful than we could have imagined. They incorporated every special request that we made, including ones that other vendors weren't willing to accommodate. They worked with us on a custom design, including buttercream icing whereas other vendors would have required us to use fondant, custom brooches (provided by us), and fresh strawberries instead of frozen (provided by them). If I could rate them higher than five stars, I most certainly would. People who don't even like cake came up and told us that they loved it!

Thank you for helping make our day special. We would definitely recommend QoC to our friends.

Our cake came out so cute! From the very beginning, Queen of Cakes was easy to work with, responsive and delicious. Our initial meeting was actually a lot of fun coming up with designs for our cake, and they were great about following up with us later to make sure everything still looked correct. Most importantly, we're big cake people and this cake was so good I'm still dreaming about it. It stayed extra moist into the next several days and they had a huge array of flavor combinations to choose from. Plenty of satisfied guests!

We had four layers of mini-desserts topped with a small bride-groom cake at our wedding. The tasting appointment and all the services provided by Queen of Cakes were thorough and thoughtful. The desserts looked lovely and tasted heavenly.

We had cupcakes and a topper for our wedding reception, and rented the cupcake tier to serve the cupcakes. Everything turned out exactly as ordered! The cakes were delicious and beautiful! We had our cupcakes done through Queen of Cakes, and they were fantastic! SO delicious! They also made a small, individual cake for us to cut (also amazing). Terri was an absolute delight to work with. What a sweetheart! They delivered and set up our cupcake stands and everything looked great and went very smooth. Definitely recommend the pink champagne cupcakes with cream cheese frosting!

My husband and I got married on September 19th of this year and our cake was even more beautiful than we had ever imagined it would be!
We are so glad we went with Queen of Cakes! We made the mistake of having our first cake tasting at Buttercream in St. Paul. The man was very pushy and rude and only wanted us to point out a cake from their displays and a flavor so he could get us a quote on the spot. We left very discouraged until a friend of mine told me about Queen of Cakes. I set up a cake tasting and went in! They were extremely friendly and they even let you taste their cakes without them sitting across the table starring at you! They are not pushy at all and even offered to let our mothers come in and try the cake!
I do have to add this story...The owner (Terri) was helping us create our vision and as she was helping us, one of her employees was talking to another guest. They were booked solid for the weekend and were unable to take on anymore cakes (the lady came in like two days before it was needed). The employee had to turn her away. The lady was very upset and stressed and went out to her car on her phone. Terri felt so bad she asked us if she could run out real quick! She took her order and said she would make it happen. The owner told us she hates to have a customer upset. This is a lady that is passionate about what she does!
Anyways, about the cake.... for our wedding we did a 4 tier cake that had triple berry mousse and white cake as well as raspberry mousse with lemon cake! All of our guests were ranting and raving about how beautiful the cake was and how great it tasted! They also give you a groom's cake for free which we chose to have at our gift opening the next day! We did the Bailey's Mousse and Chocolate cake! All of the cake is delicious so you can't pick a bad flavor!

Terri Leckas at Queen of Cakes provided a beautiful pink cake for our vow renewal on August 1, 2015. Along with the cake, we had 3 kinds of cupcakes. Carrot cake, red velvet and chocolate with pale mint icing. All the cakes were awesome. We received many compliments. Our vow renewal was the wedding I did not have the first time and the cake was wonderful.

They were helpful in designing the cake that we wanted and it was beautiful. Very professional, timely and great bakers. The cake was delicious and they had many different combinations. Would highly recommend.

Amazing! 6 stars. From the initial sit down taste testing to the day of our wedding, we were extremely pleased with everything. They were the only cake vendor we visited who was actually excited about our industrial theme wedding. They had some great ideas on top of the photos we provided. We had gears cascading down the side of the cake. I was nervous that they would turn out cheesy, but they were very realistic and the metallic colors were perfectly shiny. And the taste... out of this world! We did one layer chocolate and Baileys, and another layer pink champagne with whip. (make sure guests know that the pink champagne is not strawberry). They even threw in a free grooms cake. There prices were the best out of all the vendors we visited. Oh, and how did you get the buttercream to look so smooth? Just perfect.

My wedding cake was amazing and everything I dreamed of! I was a little bit worried with what it would look like since all I had was a hand drawn sketch from when I met for the cake tasting, but everything looked perfect and just how I had imagined.

Queen of Cakes was amazing with the design, the taste (oooohhhh soooo yummy), and delivery. Everything went perfectly on a day that I didn't need anything to worry about. I would use Queen of Cakes for other events! Delish!

Our Wedding cakes were amazing! We had a unique idea of having a centerpiece cake for each table. We had 24 tables plus a head table. These cakes turned out amazing. The order went through without any issues. They were great to work with, reasonably priced, and so much fun to do cake tasting with. We had 5 different types of cakes. Our guests loved them. We loved them. Would totally recommend them and would totally go back for more cakes.

Terri from Queen of Cakes is well known in our Church community. She was a pleasure to work with and took my photo ideas and customized the perfect cake for us! All I can say is our wedding cake and groom's cake were delicious!!! I agree with another comment on here: The cake still tasted fresh 3-4 days afterwards. I had guests come up to me saying how they've never tasted such fantastic wedding cake, it was so soft and fresh the day of the wedding. Not only that, but they were so easy to work with. It was such a breeze. Answering all of my questions and emails. They made the whole process very convenient. Book them! :)

Not only does Queen of Cakes make amazing cake and cupcakes, they are wonderful to work with. They are very responsive and professional. My cake and cupcakes traveled from Edina to Central Wisconsin, and you'd never know! They packed them perfectly. The cake also tasted perfectly fresh three days later. I HIGHLY recommend Queen of Cakes... Especially if you get their marble cake with white buttercream!

Loved working with them. The cake tasting was done at our convenience, the staff was knowledgeable and could answer questions immediately as well as calculate pricing on the spot. Everyone was friendly and they even text messaged with me to get information handled quickly and easily. They agreed to decorate however we wished without complications. We had cake balls for the majority of our guests and I will go back just to buy more of them!

There just aren't enough words to describe how thrilled I am with the cake that Queen of Cakes made for my parent's 60th Anniversary! The cake was exactly as we had discussed, and everyone in my family was simply knocked out by how beautiful it was. It was hard to cut into it because of how pretty it was, but we took lots of pictures! We ordered Chocolate with the Baily's filling and it was delicious! Fabulous service, wonderful to work with. Almost wish I were getting married again!

Queen of Cakes is AWESOME! We went in for a tasting and were able to try 8+ different flavors. They were incredibly easy to work with and listened to all of our ideas. Queen of cakes is a wonderful bakery which makes beautiful Wedding Cakes; they happen to be Gay Friendly! I was thrilled to sit with one of their consultants and go thru the process of finding the perfect cake for my partner and I. It ended up being a three tiered cake: rainbow marble looking (white cake), chocolate with cherry filling, and white cake with a raspberry mouse filling. We could not have more pleased with the way it looked, and the way it tasted. We would not hesitate to order from your fantastic bakery again!

We LOVED our cake from Queen of Cakes in Eden Praire! We did some searching for the best wedding cake around and Queen of Cakes was by far in the lead. They let us choose 5 different types of cake at no additional cost and the employees there were all very friendly and extremely professional. All I can say is YUMMMMMMM! Queen of Cakes came highly recommended by my brother who was married a few years earlier. From start to finish, Queen of Cakes was incredibly easy to work with, and their cakes are absolutely delicious! The cake tasting experience was wonderful! I also took advantage of their "Girl's Night Out" events and invited a few of my gal friends to join me to decorate mini cakes and enjoy some other treats and wine/champagne. It was so much fun, and definitely a night I won't forget!

We decided to do a cupcake tier in 3 different flavors, with a 6" round cake on the top tier. Our top tier was marble cake with cookies 'n cream filling, and our cupcakes were white, chocolate, and lemon (my absolute favorite!), with white buttercream frosting with a turquoise swirl to match our wedding colors. All of our guests LOVED the cupcakes; I plan on ordering cupcakes from them every year going forward for our anniversary. Our cookies 'n cream cake was also fabulous, and they did an amazing job decorating the cake to match a photo of a cake I liked that I sent them. Queen of Cakes is the perfect vendor for cakes, cupcakes, etc., and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Their cakes are amazing, and the pricing is very reasonable too! A++.

We went to 3 cake vendors, and after tasting Queen of Cakes it was obvious that was our choice. We ordered the pink champagne cake with whipped frosting. Through all our tastings with different vendors, there was nothing that compared. It was DELICIOUS and we heard lots of great compliments specifically on the cake. We got cake for 160 guests. Queen of Cakes was fine with us supplementing with a sheet cake from them rather than adding another tier to save on cost. Although all wedding cakes are expensive, Queen of Cakes was easily the most affordable and they gave us the top tier free and a free small grooms cake because of the size of our order. We loved our cake and can't wait to have it again on our anniversary!

Queen of Cakes was wonderful from our initial tasting all the way to the wedding. We tried multiple combinations during our tasting and selected a cake/frosting combination that wasn't actually together so they put in an order and we were able to pick up a sample of the cake we wanted the next day. We had our wedding cake consult with Terri and she was so sweet and sincere. We were given an abundance of samples to try in store and to take home (felt like we were robbing the store!) It was hard to pick our flavors because they were all so good! We actually went in expecting to pay more than the quoted price. We ended up with 240 guests at the wedding, but had enough cake for 300. There was barely any cake left over as many of our guests went back for more! (We had a 5 tiered cake with different flavors) The design of the cake was also very beautiful and elegant. We recommended them to my brother and his wife. Would definitely recommend them! (Ps. The pumpkin cake is to die for!)

Amazing! Our cake looked beautiful and tasted even better. The cake looked exactly like I wanted it to based on a picture I gave them. I would hands down use them again in the future!

The Queen of Cakes is an excellent choice for wedding cakes. The night before my wedding my parents accidentally melted my wedding cake. They called the Queen of Cakes in the morning and they were able to make a whole new cake and have it ready in time for the dinner. They are amazing and will use them again in the future for events I have.

I was thousands of miles away in the middle of nowhere, my bride to be in the military in the field for almost the entire engagement. Add this to the fact that I am what my bride calls a "food snob" and you can imagine the worry I had about how the wedding cake would turn out. I have to admit, I was one of the lucky ones. I stumbled across one of the best!! Queen of Cakes made sure that everything was PERFECT!! I can not express how enjoyable an experiance it was working with them.

Absolutely STUNNING cake!! They were able to meet with me and my husband right away and we found a cake that neither of us had ever imagined. We had to travel from Minneapolis to Iowa (4 hour drive) and they were able to provide us with the right size box and tips on how to keep the cake cool and in tact. It also tasted divine :-) We had the simple white on white cake with green trim and daisy flowers all across the cake and a green W on the top tiny tier that we ended up saving. I would truly recommend this to anyone

I absolutely loved Queen of Cakes. I of course am coming at this from a different viewpoint since my wedding ended up being called off when I found the groom cheating. Queen of Cakes was wonderful and so helpful with our difficult situation needing to cancel the order. I definitely plan to come back to Queen of Cakes and use them for every other cake I ever need. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the cake is SO good! I can't see why anyone would ever go somewhere else, I know I won't.

Queen of Cakes was an absolute pleasure to deal with during my wedding planning. From the first tasting to the final cake delivery they were so professional and kind and I couldnt have asked for a better cake experience. The wedding and groom's cake turned out so beautiful!

Terry and Queen of Cakes was AMAZING. I chose them over Buttercream simply because of how NICE and accommodating Terry was. My initial consultation was fantastic, the cake was amazing, and my final wedding cake was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will definitely be using them for any bakery needs in the future.

Wonderful to work with! From our first meeting & tasting with Terrie, we were floored with the flexibility, friendliness and value at Queen of Cakes. They continued to be responsive to email communication, worked with our day of timeline and most of all - our guests loved the cupcakes!

Perfect, beautiful, delicious cake! Our wedding cake was AMAZING! The cake was wonderful! It was HALF the price of smaller cakes from other bakeries! We recommend them to EVERYONE.

Best part is that they will provide you free samples until they get your cake right! Our cake was delicious and we knew right off the bat what we wanted for the wedding cake, but the free grooms cake was giving us a challenge. We kept ordering free samples until we landed on a Death by Chocolate cake that was absolutely the best cake I have ever eaten! They were very friendly to work with and wanted to get it right! They were also decently priced!

They were so great to work with, and had some amazing ideas! We offered a cake buffet for our guests and wanted several different types of cake that would appeal to the eye, but not look the same. Bethany was great to work with, she had a lot of suggestions and was very responsive to my needs.

The cake itself was delicious, my husband and I will be working with them for all our ?cake needs? in the future!

We got a delicious cake for a great price. They were able to do the consult on a weekend even though the shop is actually closed, which was very helpful to us. I was very happy with the professionalism and ease of working with Queen of Cakes. THe cake was more beautiful and tastey than I had ever imagined.

Our cake was delicious and we received many compliments on not only the taste, but the design of the cake as well. Queen of Cakes was receptive to my ideas and made sure that they were understanding my vision. I would recommend them in a heart beat and will go with them for other cake needs in the future.

I loved Queen of Cakes for our wedding cake. They let us come in and try a ton of flavors to narrow them down. They went through designs with us and let me bring in a ribbon I wanted. They were always very reachable and willing to answer any questions. The cake was delivered on time and looked great (tasted even better!). They are also very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.

Terri went above and beyond with our cake. She called us at home to make sure we were on the same page with how we wanted the cake to look. It was great. The cake looked amazing and tasted even better!

i loved the cake that was made just for us. Being a small family owned business they made professional cakes. I loved the fact i could sample different ones and found the one that fit my style. They are very professional and yet simplistic. the cost was very fair and they made my wedding day complete.
