Absolutely amazing DJ! From start to finish, Ruben went above and beyond to make our wedding day unforgettable. The music was perfect all night — from the ceremony to the last dance. Communication before the wedding was amazing, and he took the time to understand our vision and song preferences. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend Ruben to anyone looking for the perfect wedding DJ!

We didn’t have a wedding coordinator, and our beach wedding in San Diego (with 30+ guests) could have been a challenge, but Ruben made everything seamless. From the very beginning, he provided continuous communication, ensuring that our vision, the photographer, and his setup were all aligned. He offered great suggestions for timing and song choices, making our day even better than we imagined.
For the ceremony, Ruben handled the microphone and speakers perfectly, so our guests could hear everything clearly over the sound of the waves. During the reception, he kept the dance floor packed and the party vibe alive all night long.
Ruben was professional, clear in communication, and truly understood our vision. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend him to DJ any event! -

As someone who recently hired Ruben for my wedding, I cannot recommend Pure Energy DJ enough! He was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish.
Throughout the entire planning process, he was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs. He listened to our requests and made sure that every detail was taken care of. On the day of the wedding, Ruben did not disappoint. He had the crowd dancing the whole time and helped keep the sequence of the reception go smoothly.

We hired Ruben as our wedding DJ for our October wedding last month. We were looking for a fully bilingual (Spanish/English) DJ/MC and we are SO GLAD we found him! He was such a joy to work with from the start! felt both my now husband and I feel so comfortable and at ease from the initial interview call. I really appreciated him saying he was also interviewing us as much as we were interviewing him. He expressed he sometimes recommends not to move forward if he doesn't feel he'll be a good fit as a DJ for an event. This speaks volumes! He kept an open line of communication on the months that followed in case we needed him for any suggestions/questions (via text, email, call) and was always prompt to reply. Day-of at the wedding he nailed the overall theme/genres we asked for and there were ZERO mishaps during the special songs. He definitely kept us all dancing and also graciously agreed to stay an extra 30 min at the end of the night when we decided to extend the party! Don't hesitate to hire Ruben for your next event! -

Very very professional! I planned my own wedding at my friends country club. Ruben was pretty much my wedding coordinator. He kept everything flowing so great all night. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Great music too and kept the celebration moving all night long. Never took a break. Highly highly recommend him. 😊 -

I thought it was silly but when I realized there were very specific things I wanted to make my event classy, move along with the flow of my vision and make my event memorable...I had to choose this DJ Ruben! There were a lot of inexpensive DJs out there but Ruben won my heart over. I read the reviews and then gave him a call. He was very prompt and polite. He listened to what I wanted. He took notes. When he met with me, Ruben asked questions about our taste in music making sure I would get all the kinds of music I wanted from the beginning to the end of our event. He knew how to make the party fun and at the same time extremely classy. He is a wonderful DJ and great guy. I give him a standing ovation too for being bilingual. He really understood the crowd and kept the party going. I totally recommend Ruben. He is the best! -

Loan Sent on 08/04/2015It was a pleasure to work Ruben for our recent wedding on July 25, 2015 at the Hilton Mission Valley Hotel. I was already impressed with Ruben when I spoke with him over the phone many months prior and and also at our first face to face meeting at starbucks :)
- I knew i wanted to have him on my wedding team.
Throughout the few months before the wedding, Ruben was always reaching out to me to make sure that I was doing well with the planning, and wrote down every single song request that i randomly texted and emailed and even when I changed my mind numerous times.
He even uploaded songs suggestions into dropbox for me to listen to.
Ruben also came to meet with my wedding planner, the catering manager, and helped us finalized the wedding timeline and the exact music to go with each event.
The wedding itself went extremely smoothly, he played every single song with perfect timing- especially during the ceremony when i had very specific songs for the tea ceremony, ring exchange,... etc and even surprised me with all my favorite songs and artists during the reception, he really took his time to learn my taste in music!
Ruben is also a very good MC, he kept us running on schedule by announcing at the right moments the different events (toasts, cake cutting, garter toss.. or else I would have lost track! )
Ruben, you are an amazing person, DJ and friend.
