    Made Everything Run Smoothly

    Megan and her team were awesome! We weren't sure what to expect from a day-of coordinator in the lead-up to the wedding, but Megan impressed us with her organization and determination. She made sure all the vendors and the venue were aligned, walked us through the ceremony, ensured that the timing of each step of the ceremony and reception went off perfectly, and understood our vision so that she could handle smaller details on our behalf. We had a low-stress wedding day and Megan gets a lot of credit for making that happen! At the end of the day, we wanted to enjoy our wedding and only have people come up to us in celebration, not with questions or problems. If anything went wrong we'd never know as Megan was there to the rescue. Made the day that much more special!

    Flawless Wedding Thanks to Sage Events and the Amazing Katelynn!

    I was able to pull off the best "first look" for my husband. Instead of him seeing me, her turned around to one of his close friends in a wedding dress! Katelynn was helpful in making sure I was hidden but could still see the joy and laughter from my husband and his friend.

    Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true, and we owe it all to Sage Events and our remarkable wedding coordinator, Katelynn, and her team. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional, and it's safe to say that Katelynn was the secret ingredient that made everything come together flawlessly.

    Katelynn's professionalism, expertise, and joyful spirit set the tone for the entire planning process. She was an absolute joy to work with, making every interaction not only productive but genuinely enjoyable. Her calm demeanor and reassuring presence turned what could have been a stressful process into a series of exciting milestones.

    Attention to detail is Katelynn’s superpower. Her ability to meticulously plan and execute every aspect of our wedding left us in awe. From the grand elements to the tiniest nuances, she ensured that everything was precisely as we envisioned.     Katelynn and Paityn made sure our day was perfect! Our wedding went so smoothly because of them!

    One of the best decisions I made was hiring Katelynn from Sage Event Co. for my day of coordinator! I cannot even begin to describe how much Katelynn helped make sure everything went as planned. Wedding planning is stressful and it is so nice to have someone like Katelynn that knows the industry and can help with all those random questions. We had a few meetings including a venue walk through prior to our wedding on 10/22/22 and it was so comforting knowing that she was there to handle the day. Katelynn was super organized and calm and took over managing my vendors about a week prior which was so reassuring. Day of the wedding Katelynn and her assistant Paityn did such a fabulous job. My family made so many comments about how great and hard working they were and what a relief it was to have them present. All my decorations and ideas came together so well and I know that would have not happened without Katelynn and Paityn. They set up everything and helped with the clean up and I cannot express how amazing of a job they did. It is so worth having at minimum a day of coordinator and I definitely cannot recommend Sage Event Co. enough!

    Best choice!

    Megan and her team did a fantastic job with Day of Coordination - but she also helped me SO much leading up to the wedding. From vendor recommendations to the amount of wine, she was an asset! The day went so smooth and she helped with everything from set up to tear down. I love the system she uses and it was so easy to provide floor plans, photos of decor, etc so she could know how to set things up! I would hire her again and recommend her to every bride- especially a DIY bride!

    They took care of EVERYTHING!

    We hired Sage for day of coordination for our wedding in Mount Vernon.

    In the months leading up to the wedding, Katelynn offered a ton of support and guidance as I worked my way through the various stages of the planning process. She provided a very thorough to-do list, gave me direction in when to prioritize reaching out to different vendors, and answered all of my questions and random emails. Notably, Sage has a questionnaire that they have you fill out two months before the wedding that helps you think about all the details you didn’t even realize that you needed to think about. This was incredibly helpful!

    On the day of the wedding, Katelynn and Paityn did literally everything. They were there at 9:00 on the dot and didn’t leave until the venue was spotless. They set up all of my decorations (don’t even get me started on how perfectly they set up the tables), flipped the room from ceremony to reception, and cleared all of the tables of dishes and garbage. They took care of it all! I was so relaxed and was able to enjoy my day without worrying about anything.

    I am so grateful I found Sage Event Co!

    Megan was the best!

    Having Megan as our day of coordinating was the best decision for our wedding (7/17/21). Before the wedding we got some great vender referrals and she made sure that we had all the small details ready for our big day. During the wedding she and Katelynn we’re amazing! They set up our decorations (we go so many complements) and repurposed our candles/flowers during the wedding in ways we didn’t even think about. At the end our stuff was collected and put away. All of this allowed us to enjoy our wedding to the fullest and we are still getting complements about it.

    Stress-free wedding day due to Megan!!

    Megan was my day of coordinator for my September 2020 wedding! She was very helpful and knowledgeable. Megan was also very patient with me while I was contemplating what to do, due to the constant regulation changes because of Covid. She was also very quick with responding to emails and text messages which was really nice! I almost didn’t go with a day of coordinator, but I am SO GLAD that I did!! I was so confident with Megan that all I worried about on my wedding day, was getting ready in time! I’m so thankful that I chose Megan! :)

    One of the best wedding decisions we made!

    One of the best wedding decisions we made was hiring Prudence and Sage as our day of coordinators! I originally thought we didn't need a coordinator, but the farther into the planning we got, the more grateful I was to have Megan and McKenzie. They helped take care of so many details and communication with other vendors. Our wedding was perfect and we didn't have to worry about anything, and it also took a lot off our parents' shoulders so that they could enjoy the wedding.

    Megan is the best decision you'll make for your wedding!!!

    So, if you're looking for a wedding planner please do yourself a favor and hire Megan from Prudence and Sage! My husband and I hired her to be our wedding planner for the entire planning process and she was absolutely AMAZING the entire time!! She always was there when I needed her, be that by call, text, or email; no matter the time of day it was! Also, whenever I asked her for a meeting she made sure that it was within the week I asked for one! She was so accommodating to my needs it was truly a blessing to have her by our side! Megan took all of my stress and anxiety of the planning process away! Every time we had what I thought was going to be a huge problem she took it in stride and calmed me down and resolved whatever problem we had! She also never made decisions on my behalf without talking with me first. She made sure that me or my husband had confirmed all the details before she would put them into motion. Megan truly captured EXACTLY what my vision for my wedding day was and made sure we had NOTHING to worry about on the day of except for getting married! Honestly that is what we were looking for in a planner; someone who would be there for us through out the planning process to make sure we were getting the things done on time and within budget, but also someone who would be there on the day of to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible! Not only did Megan do all of these things but, she went above and beyond and made sure we had our day exactly how we wanted it! We are forever grateful to Megan for her hard work with our wedding and couldn't imagine our day without her apart of it! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Megan! We love you!

    I hired Prudence and Sage about a month and a half before my wedding and am so glad that I did. I worked with Katelynn throughout the entire process to finalize all our plans and she was absolutely fantastic. Everything flowed seamlessly and she even brought in a crew for set-up and clean-up. I could not imagine my wedding day without her. Every detail, down to the smallest thing, was completely covered and my day was stress free. Thank you so much for allowing my husband and I to enjoy the most beautiful day of our lives.

    Emily was the day of coordinator for my wedding last week & she was honestly THE BEST investment we made in the wedding planning process! I will admit that I considered not hiring a coordinator (weddings are just so expensive & we were looking for anything possible that we could cut out) but if you are on the fence like I was, PLEASE listen to me & hire Emily!
    She was so much more than a day of coordinator for us & saved us money throughout the process. She gave us recommendations for other vendors during the planning process & those vendors gave us discounts when we mentioned we were referred by her. She also let us use her extensive list of rentals so we didn't have to buy candles, table numbers, seating chart, ect..
    We even had a hard time holding our venue to the terms of their contract (due to management change after we signed) & Emily handled all of that stress & communicated for us. She also communicated with all the vendors a couple weeks before the wedding which allowed us to resolve potential problems before they arose on our wedding day.
    She also was able to bring things to our attention that we just simply would not have thought of (despite hours of researching weddings online in our year engagement). She recommended things she had seen work well in the past & simply warned us about things she has seen go wrong. I probably called her 20 times in the week before the wedding with questions & she was also very responsive and never seemed to mind.
    But honestly my FAVORITE part of having Emily was truly enjoying the day with my friends & family because Emily was the one doing all the decorating and set up of our wedding. My parents got to truly enjoyed the day because they weren't working to set everything up and run the wedding. When I first saw our venue all set up & decorated, I was so happy! All the work we had put into planning the wedding had been worthwhile because Emily knew our vision & made it a reality!

    Emily, the owner of Prudence & Sage Events, is AMAZING. I cannot saying enough good things about how wonderful it was to work with her for our wedding. She served as the day-of coordinator for our wedding. Not only did she make the day of our wedding go so smoothly, she make sure we had thought of everything we needed to in advance of the wedding. She also took care of final confirmations with all of our vendors, which meant we did not have to worry about all of that in the final days before our wedding. Emily has so much wedding expertise and was always available when we had a question about the planning we were doing, even months ahead of the wedding. So much of wedding planning can be stressful, and Emily's expertise and calm competence really helped make things easier. She was also completely supportive of whatever was important (or not important) to us - she really wanted to make sure that the day was carried out how we wanted it. I honestly cannot imagine how our wedding would have happened without her! My now-husband and I did not have to worry about any logistics on the day of the wedding. She was also super flexible and calm when changes had to happen day-of (adjusting plans based on rain, etc.) - she helped us make those adjustments effortlessly. In short, Emily was a true pleasure to work (she is also a kind, thoughtful, and friendly person!), and hiring her was honestly probably the best money that we spent in our whole wedding. She also did the flowers for our wedding, which were lovely and much more reasonably priced that we could have hoped.

    Having Emily of Prudence and Sage as our wedding coordinator was the best decision I made throughout the wedding planning process. Emily is a dream to work with, and handled the planning process and our wedding day with patience, grace, organization and impeccable skill. Our wedding day went so smoothly, and I know it is because of all of the behind the scenes work that Emily and Mckenzie did to ensure it was the perfect day. Emily took my Pinterest visions, ramblings, random requests, and brought them all to life with a cohesive and beautiful result. (They also did our stunning floral arrangements.) I am forever thankful to Emily and her team for my dream wedding day!

    BOOK. EMILY. NOW.
    I'm not sure I can find the words to explain how great Emily is (our magical wedding elf)! I ended up finding her a bit by chance, but it ended up to be kismet. We initially booked her for day-of coordination. We were impressed by her attention to detail and knowledge, so we booked another service - a planning meeting to go over all the ins and outs of planning the food truck wedding we wanted (food trucks had a few more logistics and moving parts to consider compared to traditional catering). I then found out Emily also did florals, so I didn't hesitate to snag her for that as well!
    From beginning to end, Emily was the best. She was really dedicated to what we as couple wanted, not what we should or should not do as dictated by wedding blogs. She was a perfect match for us because of her budget consciousness (we paid for most of our wedding ourselves so this was very important to us). She knew where our priorities were always had some tips for saving, while still getting what we wanted.
    When the wedding was close, my flustered bride brain was sending Emily probably 5 or more discombobulated emails a day. She answered them all, completely, helpfully, and quickly. She kept all our vendors aligned and on-track. The day of the wedding, Emily ensured that me and my husband would not have a care in the world. Our flowers were beautiful and exactly what I wanted (at a price a traditional florist couldn't even get close to), when I arrived at the venue our decorations were set up beautifully, and everything went off as planned. I don't even know how long of a day she put in but I'm guessing at least 15 hours.
    I wish I could give Emily extra stars in every category, but especially in value and flexibility, I would give her 100 more. I can't say enough for the pricelessness of having her there to take care of everything (literally - EVERYTHING), so that I could be fully present and enjoy my wedding day. Thank you, Emily!

    I cannot say enough good things about Emily and Thrifty Beginnings. Emily was always available via email or phone for my un-ending questions about the venue and set up. She was professional and polite. My family even remarked at how helpful and friendly she was on the day of the wedding. She is super organized and passionate about what she does. I couldn't have pulled it off without her help!

    Katelynn Long planned our perfect day for us and she couldn’t have done better, there was no worries or stress for the groom and I she made sure everything was organized and perfect, and it was so perfect I remember that day like yesterday it was the most special day of our lives and she made it very special for us, I highly recommend Katelynn to plan your wedding, she has an amazing personality and is very fun to be around

    Wedding 7/23/22

    We are incredibly disappointed with our choice to hire Megan with Sage Event Co (formally prudence and sage) for our wedding on 7/23/22. Megan started out strong but ultimately, we don't feel she was invested in our wedding and dropped the ball in a big way. The day of services did not meet the standards which she discussed with us leading up to the wedding.

    We were initially disappointed a few months prior to the wedding when Megan was late to a zoom meeting with us because she mistakenly put it on her calendar for a different day and time. She was able to delay her other appointment to meet with us via phone, but we were again disappointed when she was not prepared with notes, and we had to remind her of everything we discussed at the venue walk through. Additionally, she requested to be included in emails and meetings with other vendors leading up to the wedding and specifically requested to be included in the catering meeting to coordinate details. However, when the caterer came back with a meeting time her initial response was that she was busy, and she suggested we meet without her and just fill her in. Being that we hired her to coordinate day of details and that she specifically requested the meeting it was frustrating to have her offer to skip it. We felt our rehearsal went smoothly and were confident that she could deliver on the wedding day because she mentioned multiple times that it was going to be a 2-person job with her and her assistant.

    Megan had made plans to arrive at the venue at 10am but unfortunately rolled her ankle getting into her car that morning. Our maid of honor received a text message stating that Megan was not coming and that her assistant Paityn was going to be coming instead. However, Paityn was also not at the venue at 10am. Paityn did a good job with setting up decorations and we are happy that she was able to show up, but it also meant that our family and friends had to help her manage since she wasn't up to date with all the details discussed at rehearsal or leading up to the wedding. One of our main reasons for hiring a day of coordinator was so our family could enjoy and not worry about set up or take down. Although Paityn was able to decorate, she is not an experienced coordinator. Fortunately for us, our photographer was able to step up and coordinate in addition to capturing photos.

    Fast forward to after the wedding. We were also disappointed because although we hired Megan, she had no follow up with us after our wedding to hear about our experience. With that being said we emailed these exact concerns to Megan approximately 2 weeks after our event and requested partial reimbursement. We paid $2000 for day of coordination. Megan responded and listed multiple excuses and explanations for her poor services throughout our wedding planning process. Ultimately, she offered us a $500 refund which she reported is the amount she would have made that day. We are happy to have received a partial refund but still would not recommend Sage Event Co. for your wedding because she was not consistent or professional, and ultimately didn't deliver on the day which we hired her.
