    Found My Last Minute Dress!

    Had an amazing experience at Pronovias and highly recommend to everyone of all shapes and sizes. I came to them for a last-minute wedding gown, and they absolutely delivered. When they heard my situation, they quickly accommodated me and squeezed me in for scheduling and once I decided on a dress, they booked all follow up visits for alterations immediately to ensure that my dress would be completed by my wedding! Everyone was super helpful and sweet, they made sure I felt comfortable and looked great, and they made sure to only show me dresses within my budget! In fact, I found a dress so perfect and under my budget, that I even ended up buying a veil which I initially wasn’t planning. As a plus size girlie (size 18-20), I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find something off the rack on such short notice, but they made it happen and had so many options for me to choose from. The level of care and attention they provided me with was phenomenal and I highly recommend Pronovias to any upcoming bride looking for their gown.

    After a rocky start with ordering issues, the new management team at Pronovias (NY flagship store) absolutely out did themselves to create the perfect wedding dress for my daughter. The dress required extensive alterations and, despite limited time, they came through! Jennifer, the manager with whom we worked, saw to every detail. She was professional, communicative and most importantly, given my daughter’s stress level, empathetic. The dress and the custom veil were simply stunning. Our deepest thanks to Jennifer and the fantastic alterations team!

    Beautiful dresses

    I loved my dress from Pronovias. They have a great selection. My dress was $3k total with alteration/taxes. The staff is friendly and helpful.

    Dream dress and great experience

    My Pronovias experience was incredible. From the moment I walked in and worked with my sweet consultant Kayla on finding my dress, to getting my alterations done which was an exquisite job, by Mary Louise. Everything was wonderful and my dress was truly a dream and everything I always hoped for.

    Incredible selection and staff

    I went to three different well known bridal shops in Manhattan before going to Pronovias. A few minutes after walking into Pronovias, I was confident I would find my wedding dress there. First, they have an amazing selection of dresses. I liked every dress I tried on, so the experience was more about finding what suited my body and taste. Second, they are prompt and have great customer service from the moment you enter their store. Their staff is INCREDIBLE. I fell in love with Samantha, Evan, and Grace. Sam was energetic and very honest and took the time to get a sense of what I really wanted. Evan checked in and helped answering questions. Together they made the shopping experience incredibly fun and pushed me gently in all the right directions, even helping me make tough decisions about accessories. Grace, the seamstress who worked on my dress, absolutely sealed the deal. I am 5’2”, very much pear shaped, not exactly who these dresses are made for. I was nervous about alterations and preserving the very intricate details of the dress. Grace was incredible. I can still hardly believe how well my dress fit me, and looking at the details you wouldn’t even know the dress was altered. Still have no idea how she did it. I wish I could hire her for my entire wardrobe. Overall, amazing experience.

    Most elegant gowns!

    I absolutely loved my wedding dress. Pronovias designs stood above the rest from the beginning. Their dresses are very flattering and have beautiful detail. I went with the Esperanza dress but there were so many great options. The staff in the NY office were also friendly, and their tailor was great!

    Wedding Dress

    I did not get my dress at this location but this is the brand of my wedding dress. They were able to work with my shorter timeline and it was my dream dress. I am so happy that I chose this dress. I would choose it all over again if I could!

    The Amazing Wedding Dress Designers

    Where do I begin? I’ve been in love with Pronovias bridal collection FOREVER but when my now husband pointed out a specific Pronovias gown he wanted me to have I knew it was meant to be. I ordered a custom fitting gown named Ophelia which was my dream dress minus the sleeves but working with my local bridal shop & Pronovias I was able to order the extra materials I needed to achieve the look I desired! My dress is absolutely beautiful! It was a dream to wear Pronovias on my wedding day!

    My Dream Wedding Dress

    I’ve known way before I was even engaged that I LOVED Pronovias gowns! They’re so elegant and timeless! There was no way I could get married in any other designer, I found my dream Pronovias dress and I can’t wait to marry my future husband in it!

    Dream Dress

    I originally stumbled across my dress on the Pronovias website and when I called around to every bridal store on LI, I learned I would have to go directly to Pronovias to find it. Lucky I did because I fell in love with it - the very first wedding gown I ever tried on. Pronovias NYC made it so easy! I came into the city 6 times total from out east Long Island and it was honestly worth each and every trip. Julie was my seamstress and she was AMAZING! I am so thankful to have had her! She listened to every little thing I wanted changed and calmed me down the first time I tried it on and freaked out (it was hugeee!) In the end it was perfect and fit me like a glove. Thank you to everyone at Pronovias NYC - you were all amazing!

    The women in the NY store were amazing! They made the experience for me and my family incredible! They helped find the perfect dress, the girl I originally worked with was Tanya and she was super sweet. When I went back she was sick but received assistance from Sarah and Christiana and they too were wonderful!

    I had a fantastic experience at the Pronovias flagship store finding my wedding dress. I came in three times before finding my dream dress, and my consultant Sarah was so patient and full of good suggestions. I never felt any pressure, even when I was being admittedly picky over details. In the middle of the wedding planning, I moved internationally, so it was even more critical to work with a wedding shop that was professional and attentive to details - exactly what I got at Pronovias! I did all the alterations in house, and the seamstress, Maria, was incredible! At one of my fittings I started to feel light headed, so she even brought me water and cookies! When I tried the dress on a week before the wedding and wanted it hemmed a bit more (not easy considering the dress had a very delicate all-lace border on the bottom), it was no issue at all, and the dress was ready two days later. Gorgeous dresses and amazing service - I definitely recommend Pronovias!

    I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend Pronovias. Hands down the most gorgeous dresses. They have so many dresses to chose from, their prices are reasonable, and their staff are phenomenal. They make you feel like you are their only client. I fell in love with the dress so much it was purchased it the same day. My bridal belt was also purchased from Pronovias. The process of the fittings was also convenient. I had the same seamstress who listened to all my of needs, recommendations, and the dress fit beautifully! This place gives high value, professionalism and unbeatable responsiveness.

    Pronovias was the full experience. I was able to also get my tailoring done in-house and they were wonderful working with me. I live away from all my family and friends so getting an outside opinion from someone I trust wasn't an option. However, the seamstresses at Pronovias worked with me listened to all my issues and made sure to address every single one until I was completely satisfied. Not only are their dresses stunning, they provide personable service and make you feel like you are their top client.

    I don't even know where to start - Annemarie was my consultant and absolutely amazing. She even have me her personal email for future questions. Sure enough 6 month later I had a question about straps and she remembered me and sent pictures of the exact strap o was talking about!

    I recently purchased my dress at Pronovias so I cannot speak about their alterations department yet but the dress trying on experience was great. The private rooms is great so you don't have to stare at other girls trying on dresses and vice versa. My consultant was Kate and she was great, showed me dresses that were all stunning. Each dress was better than the next and the prices are SO affordable. I ended up picking a dress I had been eyeing for a few months and we all agreed it was the one!. We got a champagne toast, shed some tears and walked out thinking it was the best decision ever. I just hope the alterations go as well as the dress picking process.

    Beautiful dresses! I was having a beach wedding so wanted something elegant yet not too formal and our consultant Jill helped me find the perfect dress. The store is gorgeous and no one was pushy or rushing us which was much appreciated. I did my tailoring with Pronovias also, and they were very patient and let me come in early and multiple times to make sure the dress fit exactly how I wanted. I highly recommend Pronovias for any NYC bride – the prices are reasonable and the service is great!

    I went to a sample sale at Pronovias' flagship store in NYC. The sale was extremely organized and my mom and I even had an appointment. I was incredibly lucky that the first dress I tried on was IT! All of the ladies working helped me so much, let me take my time, and really made me feel so special. I live in NJ and since I took the dress home with me that day, they were nice enough to recommend a FANTASTIC seamstress in NJ so I didn't have to schlep my dress back to the city. My wedding dress might have been the easiest part of my planning process, and I had such a great experience at Pronovias!

    I found my dream dress at Pronovias. The flagship store in Manhattan is so nice upon entry. The receptionists are very friendly. Every fitting I had was such a nice experience. Particulary, my seamstress Nordey. She was phenomenal and knew the way the dress should fit my body. She made sure every stich was in place. She listened to every detail in request and accomodated them. She made the dress even more beautiful!

    Hands down the most gorgeous dresses. I had a very good experience and would highly recommend Pronovias. My first visit to the store I worked with Christina. She was the best and knew the dresses in and out. I fell in love with the first dress but Christina had me try on a few more to be sure. I knew I couldn't leave without it, so that purchase was made that day! I also purchased my veil and bridal belt. After, I paid to gave alterations on site and was highly satisfied. The alterations were timely and my dress fit like a glove. The quality is top notch and the lace is stunning. This place gives high value, professionalism and unbeatable responsiveness.

    I loved Pronovias! From their storefront, to their prices, the dresses are totally worth it! I went to Kleinfelds prior to Pronovias and was completely disappointed with the dresses available, as well as their price range! Pronovias had a lot more to offer and everybody loved my dress. It is stlil a miracle to me that I was able to find my dress for their price! I definitely recommend this place!

    I have loved Pronovias' collections for years, and really hoped I would have a positive experience. And boy did I ever. I tried on 4 dresses, and loved all of them, but one stole my heart. The woman who helped us was amazing and kind and sweet and helpful, the store was calm and felt luxurious, the dresses are incredibly high quality and the price range is great. I also got my veil here, and it was stunning as well. Their tailor was very helpful and paid great attention to detail to make my dress fit me properly. I shopped nowhere else and didn't need to, this store is amazing and will fill your every need.

    I purchased my wedding gown at Pronovias and I am having such a pleasant experience I went to look for gowns and they weren't pushy or rude or fake. When I picked the dress I wanted I knew I loved it and yes it was the one. No I didn't choke up or tear but I did like the way I looked and felt. When I told Maria this is the one she said are you sure I said yes she said then leave come back in a month try it on and if you feel that way again then it is yours. I was blown away this woman cares more about me meaning this is the dress then making commission. Which I thought was amazing. So I left and came back in 5 weeks with my mom and grandma and put it on and sure as I felt the first time I tried it on I felt even better and more confident that this was the gown for me. I also purchased my veil and brooch for my hair. I went for my first fitting with my shoes and Nardei (probably spelt wrong) is the seamstress who hemmed my gown she said because of the material of my dress she cant use the chalk which I knew would be quicker for her instead she laid on the floor and pinned it up till she and I were completely happy with the way it looked. These two woman are making my experience a very pleasant one. So I would recommend you trying them out.

    The alterations staff are fantastic. My dress arrived about 6 inches too long and was filled with lace applique. The seamstress unstitched the lace, shortened the dress, and re-stitched the lace back on. Once the dress was complete no one could have guessed that the dress was originally so long. I had 3 separate fittings and brought home the dress one week before my wedding. The day of my wedding, the dress fit perfectly, the bustle held up the whole day, and I never had to worry about any "wardrobe malfunctions" (I had a strapless dress). The styles are detailed and beautiful without being outrageously expensive. I highly recommend Pronovias dresses and the flagship store in New York City.

    I am still getting compliments on my dress. I walked into the NYC Flagship store last year to search for a wedding dress I wasn't sure I'd be able to afford their beautiful selection, but I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable their prices are. My consultant Rhina was very attentive and somehow pulled out the perfect dress fro me to try on which I fell in love with instantly.

    I heard some bad reviews about their alterations department, but I had a great experience with them. They made sure the bustle was secure and everything fit beautifully.

    Pronovias was the last dress shop I visited in my wedding dress search. I visited several places in NY, Westchester, and Connecticut before finding Pronovias. The staff was extremely helpful, when you arrive they have you look online as various styles of dresses and pick out some examples that you like. This is helpful so your time with the dress consultant is not wasted and she gets and idea of your preferences. All of their gowns are displayed beautifully so you can see what you are looking at versus in a backroom. The dressing rooms are gorgeous and have enough room for your mother or maid of honor to attend your initial appointment. My experience after purchasing the dress got even better. The alterations team was fantastic! Every fitting appointment started on time and the seamstress was a delight to work with. I was actually sad the day I picked up my dress that I would no longer be working with this amazing team. Pronovias has beautiful dresses and has first class service. THANK YOU!!

    I had a great experience at Pronovias. I got the exact dress I wanted and all alterations done on site. They were very accommodating and were able to squeeze me in as a last minute bride. Although, I didn't end up getting a headpiece there, they were able to show mw a variety to go with my dress. They were also very flexible with my fitting schedule. The staff was friendly and professional.

    Exactly what I was looking for!

    It was a dress I fell in love with right when I walked in to the showroom! Such a lovely fit and best quality. The vendors really helped to adjust some imprerfections due to my posture. Very Happy

    Obsessed with my dress but it was very heavy (a lot of beading) so I found myself pulling it up a lot by the end of the night. Got my dress from the flagship store so 4 trips into NYC wasn’t the most convenient but I loved my dress so it was worth it in the end. Before getting my dress from Pronovias I read some negative reviews about the alterations department, however, Grace did an AMAZING job with alterations - she listened to every concern I had and made me feel so beautiful in my dress! Highly recommend!

    loved my dress! it was beautiful! my only issue was when I went for my last fitting before the wedding the alterations weren't ready and neither was the veil. i was then asked by a spanish speaking lady to sit and wait 2 hours. luckily I speak spanish and sat there(for only 1 hour). in the end the dress was perfect and i am so happy with it

    I got my dress at Pronovias...they were very accomodating to fit me in when I thought I wanted to try the dress on again after going to Kleinfelds and finding a dress that was a maybe there. Pronovias no doubt has beautiful dresses. I did think it would be a little more pampered though, maybe with a glass of champagne. I also think it was a little frustrating that I wasn't allowed to go down to the floor with the tiaras and accessories. They said I needed an appointment. It was a good experience overall..it was just slightly stuffy.

    My gown was absolutely gorgeous! I only had one issue which has to do with the fittings I had. At my second fitting I waited over an hour because they forgot to tell the seamstress that I had arrived. At my third fitting (six days before my wedding) I had an appt at 10am a at 10:30 the seamstress came out and told me she needed another 2 hours to finish. At the end of the day the dress was stunning and the alterations were perfect. I just couldn't give them a 5.0/5.0.

    Picking out my wedding dress here was an amazing experience. From the welcoming front desk to the person who helped me find "the one" to the seamstress. Christina was great. It felt like one of best friends was there helping me find my dress. The quality of the dresses are high. They look and feel expensive but are a great price.

    Wonderful experience working with them. Everything was just easy. The consultant who worked with me on my initial "shopping" day was able to hone in on my style and I wound up buying the second dress I tried on. The seamstress who worked with me at my fittings was also lovely. Friendly and comforting. And have I mentioned how much I love my dress? Every once in a while I open the garment bag, look at it, and just smile. Beautiful craftsmanship.

    I would also say that I was intimidated going in to shop because after looking at their beautiful dresses online I thought for SURE they were going to be out of my budget. Not so. They have dresses in a range of price points. I was very happy about that!

    I have mixed feelings about my experience with Pronovias. On the one hand, they were great before the wedding. I went on a weekday, and felt that I had very personalized attention from my consultant. She really listened to what I wanted in a dress - so much so that there were several dresses I tried on here that I would have been happy to choose. They were able to order a custom dress in 3 months, which was great for a wedding planned on short notice. Fittings went well, although they had no early morning or evening appointments, which would have been helpful so that I would not have needed to take time off work for each one. In the end, the dress looked and fit beautifully. With one exception. I discovered during my wedding that an entire layer of tulle underskirt had not been sewn, but was left pinned up inside the dress. This was unseen, and might not have been a problem, except that several pins stuck me in the limo, and so we had to spend the entire cocktail hour repinning the skirt. Pictures from later in the evening showed that we didn't do this very well - the tulle is showing. On the plus side, the bustling was easy and numbered. After the wedding I contacted a dress preservation company, who told me they could not preserve the dress until Pronovias fixed the skirt. This they did immediately, so, they did help me with my problem, but did not offer any reimbursement, and of course, after I had to miss my own cocktail hour. I don't regret getting my dress from them, because they were one of the few shops with straps and sleeves, so I didn't have a lot of style alternatives. But I wish I had inspected the dress more thoroughly, picking up the underskirts and checking before I left the store. Caveat emptor.

    Dresses are beautiful, but staff communication is problematic

    The dresses at Pronovias are beautiful and the people there are nice, but the communication between staff is unacceptable. My consultant, Erin, was incredibly in tuned with my vision and did not pressure me into trying something on that I wasn’t interested in. She listened to what I wanted and made my experience fun and enjoyable. The seamstresses were also extremely talented and altered my dress to fit me like a glove, however, my veil did break on my wedding day because the seams on the comb came undone. I also had some issues with appointments. During one of my visits, there was a miscommunication between the consultant, seamstress and store regarding my appointment time. My mom, sister and I took time off work to go to the appointment, but when we arrived at the store, the front desk had no record of the appointment being made. Then after waiting a long time, the seamstress said that the dress wasn’t ready, so we had to leave empty-handed. It was a huge inconvenience and incredibly frustrating because we live an hour outside of the city and had to rearrange our schedules just to leave with nothing. The manager of the store, Trianna, was very apologetic and did seem genuine in wanting to make things right, so to accommodate us, they gave us an additional appointment before store hours, but when we arrived, the doorman was very rude and would not let us in. We understood that he was just doing his job, but the store should’ve informed him of our early appointment. I really did love my wedding dress, but the miscommunication and experience I had at the store could have been avoided.

    Good and bad

    I had such a hard time finding my wedding dress, I think I went to maybe 14 different appointments. I finally found what I was looking for at Pronovias. The staff helping me with the appointment was extremely friendly and pretty helpful. I think their selection is really great and they can serve a breadth of price ranges and the dresses are made really well. I had the best experience with my seamstress Julie. She was so incredibly thorough and really knew what needed to be done to make the dress fit me. I did have an issue with pickup that was pretty unfortunate. I showed up to try on the dress one last time and pick it up the day I was leaving for my wedding and I was told they were running behind. Upon waiting and pressing the staff for a reason, they vaugley blamed it on Julie being late that day. An hour after my appointment time I was finally able to try on my dress and Julie explained to me they had booked another bride right before my appointment time and that she had gone over. I just think the situation was very mismanaged. Another bride shouldn’t have been booked so close to my appointment. If she was going over her allotted appointment time, they should have made her wait as her wedding was not for months and months and I needed to leave for mine…..and for the seamstress manager to blame it all on Julie….just not great. At one of my earlier appointments I saw another bride have difficult with her dress pick up….they couldn’t find her dress…she was also trying to leave that day for her wedding. Everything up until my pick up was great, but the pick up process…be forewarned!

    I grew up in Spain, so I always dreamed about wearing the perfect wedding dress from Pronovias.
    And yes! Pronovias was the first salon I stepped into and I found THE dress on my first fitting day!
    It was a beautiful mikado silk wedding gown that fitted like a glove.
    I loved the choice of dresses Pronovias offered but the overall experience needed improvement. The staffs were not attentive and they made me wait for over an hour just to get my fitting done (for alterations).

    I knew I wanted a Pronovias dress from the moment I got engaged. There aren’t many boutiques in my area that carry Pronovias so I decided to take a trip to New York. Kim my bridal consultant was amazing and great to work with. I also used Pronovias for my alterations and they did an amazing job, the dress fit me perfectly and they had it done for me in two fittings. My only complaint with Pronovias is their front desk staff. They are unprofessional and don’t seem to care about the customer. There is also a major lack of communication between them and the alternations department.

    I purchased my dress from the flagship store in NYC. My consultant, Rosie, was phenomenal. She took a look at my cookbook ideas and hit the nail on the head within 6 dresses. She nailed my veil on the first try and provided us with a flawless off the shoulder jacket and belt. When I went for follow-up appointments, I had a bit of trouble. Only the appliqué for the belt was present, thus resulting of the loss of silk chiffon belt I had fallen in love with because they discontinued it by the time my dress had arrived. I had to settle for a different material that was not nearly as impressive, but still pretty.
    The only real trouble came with my seamstress Maria, who attempted to hem my dress by folding over all of the stunning lace detail at the bottom. there was a rather large gap in communication due to language barriers and it was very frustrating but doable. Things were worked out and we seemed to be on the same page by the time we left. I came for my final fitting and was told that my seamstress was not in for the day and I would have to come back because my alterations were not completed/not accurately done. We had to hold our ground because unfortunately I live in Baltimore and could not come back before the wedding. No one had bothered to call us to alert us of the situation, despite having this fact on file. Eventually, it all got taken care of and the head seamstress worked her magic to make it work. The final result was beautiful and a Pronovias dress is above average in beauty for the price and amount of detailed lace they use. I would recommend this vendor, but it would be best if you are local.

    Dress was beautiful, but had to go to many fittings cause it wasn't designed well. still couldn't get it perfect for wedding day. A lot of fittings would have been avoided if they had brought in the seamstress when they saw the issues rather than relaying the issue back to them.

    Don't like their veils.

    I had a mixed experience with the Pronovias shop in NYC. I had fallen in love with many of their dresses online and in magazines, and this was my final stop while shopping for the dress with my mom. My consultant Jill was great - she didn't pressure me to make a decision and was a pleasure to work with.

    The trouble began once I went in for fittings. I had four in total. Each time I went to the salon (with an appointment), I waited for a half hour at least and three hours at most. They gave me a different seamstress each time so none of them were familiar with what had been previously done. At my final fitting when I brought my mother-in-law, they clearly had forgotten about the appointment and slowly made alterations while we waited. I understand that mistakes happen, but they used zero customer service whatsoever in handling the situation. I’m sorry to say that whenever I think about my wedding dress, I’ll think of the poor experience I had getting it.

    Above all, I loved my gown and it fit well for the wedding day; but buyer beware – if you decide on a Pronovias gown, be prepared to give up hours of your life dealing with these people.

    Do not buy here!

    TLDR: try on dresses here but buy elsewhere!

    I had an awful experience with Pronovias. There were no red flags when I purchased my dress and veil, but the coming months were horrible. When I asked to see my veil at my first fitting, I was told that they had it but they forgot to put it in my dress bag. I was also told that the extra tulle I ordered would be added at my next fitting. At the end of my 2nd fitting, 38 days before my wedding, I asked again to see my veil and asked why the tulle was not added. After waiting 15 min for a manager, I was informed that my veil was discontinued and was NEVER ORDERED and the extra tulle couldn’t be found. This was 8 months after the order was placed for the dress, veil and tulle! When was I going to be told about the veil? I picked a new veil (which I refused to pay for although they tried to make me do so), and the tulle was finally added by my last fitting, 9 days before my wedding. At my last fitting I asked for the cups to be adjusted because the placement was causing an odd fold in the fabric. The seamstress said she fixed them and steamed the dress and I was sent on my way. On my wedding day I noticed that the cups in dress were not fixed, and the fold in the fabric was still there. I love Pronovias dresses, but my advice would be to look at dresses here and order it from a different bridal store. Do not trust them to do the right thing and advocate for yourself.

    I bought my dress from pronovias simply because I loved the dress for the price point. The woman who helped me try on dresses was awful. (Alana). The first time I went she just seemed like she was completely over weddings. Not at all happy. The second time, before my appointment, she sent me an email basically asking if I was ready to make a decision and to stop wasting her time. I had to remind her that it was only my second visit. She apologized. During my second visit she told me to stop being "retarded" and to just buy the dress. Had I not liked the dress so much I would have and should have walked out. Not the kind of bridal experience you expect.

    Wrong size

    Absolutely horrible!

    If you want to purchase your wedding dress from this store, think twice! You are more likely to get a dress in wrong size right before your wedding.

    I purchased 4 dresses from this store. I ordered sized 2 and it comes with sized 8. Disappointed! Then, I get a call say they can give me a size 6 and offer 10% off. Seriously, are you kidding me? It's like I order a size 10 shoes, then you send me size 8 and say 10% is enough.

    No more to say. Just, be aware!

    Get away from this place ASAP

    TL;DR - Stylist was awful. Ordered wrong dress size. Lied to us multiple times. Misrepresented the wedding dress into a completely different silhouette. Global customer service saw nothing wrong with entire experience and would not offer any refund.

    Being engaged and planning your wedding should be one of the most exciting and fun times of your life. So if you want to keep that joy, get as far away from this place as possible.

    Pronovias NY almost ruined my entire wedding for me - multiple times. So much so, that I found myself at a different bridal salon 4 weeks before my wedding to purchase a (second) sample dress 6 sizes too large to have altered in time for my wedding. THAT is how god awful my experience was here from start to finish. Enjoy the saga below!

    There were multiple red flags from the beginning, so brides please trust your gut. Because I didn’t. And then I had to spend an extra $8k on a replacement dress due to this places gross negligence, flippant attitude and greed.

    The full laundry list:
    First appointment - stylist didn’t know what they had in stock. Bridesmaids pulled dresses for me because they stylist kept pulling things she thought I’d look good in, not what I told her I wanted.

    Buying the dress - Sassed my bridesmaid (again) about scheduling my follow up. Consultant was impossible to get in touch with. Ordered me a dress that was too small, despite repeating multiple times that I was not the size she said I was.

    First Fitting - dress does not fit. Luckily I had 8 months to prepare myself. Consultant does not remeasure me, only orders one size up. Never offers any type of apology. I’ve been the same size [115 lbs and 5’8” since I was 16 years old], I know what dress size I wear. It never changes. I call the salon after my fitting and request two dresses to be ordered: one size up and two sizes up. Obviously I was fearful that the one size up wouldn’t be enough. They confirmed they would order both for me.

    Second fitting - I show up and only ONE dress was ordered, the dress that was two sizes up. Thank god I told them to order that dress because it fit and there was NO room to take anything out or in.

    However, the dress that I put on was completely different than the way it was pinned during my first ever visit. The consultant pinned the dress like it would be loose fitting from the waist down, instead I had a trumpet gown. It was absolutely horrifying and heartbreaking. I was so uncomfortable in my wedding dress and we were 6 weeks before my wedding.

    When I asked if they could let the dress out, I was asked “why would you want to do that? It looks good?” Uhm, because I never wanted a form fitting wedding dress, that is why.

    One month before my wedding, I went to a new salon, purchased a sample dress and then had to have it completely remade at a seamstress in Manhattan, resulting in spending a FORTUNE due to the disaster that is Pronovias.

    Pronovias dresses are beautiful. I’ve had friends wear them for their weddings. I recommend never ever coming to this salon, but instead going to another salon that sells their brand. You will regret trying to buy your wedding dress here.

    I would give zero if possible

    I paid more than $4000 for a Pronovias wedding dress in the store in New York City. The charge includes the wedding dress, rush fee, and tailoring fee. However, the Pronovias staff in NYC did not let me know the dress needs multiple time tailoring, even if they know I live far from New york city and it is not easy for me to come to your store. During the first tailoring, I was told that the tailoring can not be finished and I have to come back again. Because my wedding day is approaching and I have no time to come to NYC again, I have to take the unfinished dress to my home and did further tailoring myself. So if you want to cause trouble to your wedding schedule, and pay more time and money to deal with all unexpected troubles, please choose the store.

    Not friendly if you’re over a size 10bb

    I am writing this review today with the hope that no other bride has to feel the way I felt. I booked my appointment 1 month in advance, the attitude and rudeness I received at that time but their customer service representative should have been the red flag I needed to avoid this business altogether, but unfortunately I ignored the signs.

    To preface the main issue when I first booked my appointment their online system would not send me a confirmation email, so I booked another (each appointment costs $50). So I reached out to their customer service team to make sure I would not be double charged and to confirm my appointment. She kept placing the blame on me and saying it must be something I am inputting wrong (why I’m not receiving a confirmation). So I sent her a screenshot, and I asked her could she help me or point me in the direction of the correct person to ask for help. Then she decided to blame me again and come back with a new excuse that my card keeps being declined. Very confused because that I knew that definitely could not be the case I reached out to my bank and they confirmed their store never even attempted to run my card, which I let her know and which she still kept maintaining that it must be getting declined, refusing to accept the facts I was presenting her. I called the store to which their voicemail informed me I could WhatsApp message them, which I did and that associate confirmed there WAS an internal problem with their booking software and she would confirm my appointment for me.

    So I thought ok, I should proceed with this appointment maybe this is a one off. And wow was I wrong. Today, 2 days before my scheduled appointment (that I took off the day from work AND my mom is flying 3000 miles across the country) I get a call from Fatima to confirm my appointment and ask what styles I like. I was instructed that I could email them over. To which I received a reply back that they don’t carry either of those in my size (16 to 18). Fatima then calls me to say this to me in a very confusing conversation that I am still not sure what she entirely said. I let her know on that call I really liked the dresses that were sent over originally and I was sad they don’t have my size, I would appreciate if she could send me over the styles they do have in my size as I would want to make sure I like them before I go to their store. (First off, for each style she sends a new email, no text no nothing just either a link or a random screenshot).

    Do you know how embarrassing it is to have to call your mom and explain that the appointment you’ve both been looking forward to for a month may need to be canceled because you’re too fat to fit in their sizes?

    To wrap up this long story I kept letting her know those other styles are not my taste and requested the managers email. To which that request was ignored so I had to send a second email. I was then sent an email telling me I need to pick up the phone because their manager was calling me, guess what my phone hasn’t rang once. Finally I get the manager on the phone! Guess what if you want to try on dresses in store, good luck! Because the highest size they have available to try on is a 10. The manager was also confusing to speak too, less than Fatima(which isn’t saying much), but still confusing. I explained to her that that’s great but a size 10 won’t fit over my behind! She kept trying to assure me that plus size brides loovvvee their styles. HOW? If they can’t even try them on? Also to make matters worse she kept calling me “my love” in the most condescending way. I don’t know about you but grown women do not call other grown women they do not know “my love” or other pet names unless they are trying to talk down to them. I kept trying to explain to her this whole situation could have been avoided had they explained their weird size restrictions when I booked my appointment a month ago rather than 2 days before, after all our plans had been made AROUND this appointment. She kept saying that’s not their protocol. Um ok then make it your protocol? I told her do you know how embarrassing it would be to show up to that appointment and none of the sample try on dresses fit me? She didn’t see the problem. When I asked why don’t you gather someone’s size when they make an appointment to avoid this all together, well “it’s not their protocol”.

    Since it’s not their protocol to have size inclusivity, transparency, or general human decency you should avoid this store at all costs. Read the other horrible reviews they have. This store and this company are a disaster.

    Worst customer service

    !!Warning!! To anyone woman over size 10. DO NOT make appointment at this place. They advertised plus sizes up to 32, but TWO days prior to a fitting scheduled a month earlier, we found out they have TWO dresses available! They are nowhere near my daughters style. So if it’s not the actual dress that you want, you won’t know if the dress will actually fit you.

    My daughter made an appointment over a month ago, which was a nightmare to make due to their online services were not working. They keep telling my daughter her Credit card declined, when it was actually "their" system error. American Express said the vendor had not even tried to put payment through. This should have been our first sign something wrong with this business. Nevertheless, she finally was able to book the appointment and I was very excited because they advertised the plus sizes available.

    TWO days before our appointment they called my daughter to let her know they only have two dresses in her size. Why would you advertise on your website that you have sizes up to 32 and not have samples of all dresses?! In the meantime, I have already booked my flight to fly 3,000 miles to watch my daughter try on her dress, and now we can’t even go?! What a sad moment for my daughter, she is humiliated. The sales person, Fatima, basically fat shamed her and said "we don’t keep those sizes in stock." So Un-professional. And you DID NOT KNOW THIS until two days prior?! Quite frankly, the average woman is now size 16 or 18.

    To get in touch with the employee's manager at the store was almost impossible. They would lie and say "We’re trying to call you" when they were not. After being persistent, my daughter finally spoke to the manager. The manager at the business was very condescending and kept calling my daughter "my love". That is so disrespectful to use those words on someone you don’t know and when speaking to "any" customer.

    After reading all the reviews. What a nightmare they have been to customers! I guess it’s a blessing in disguise they didn’t have her size, so we won’t have to worry if we’re going to get the correct dress and/or if it would be able to be altered.

    The corporate office should retrain all the staff members, including the manager, on basic etiquette and courtesy. At the time of booking they should ask the customer what size range and what type of dresses they are looking for. This way if they don’t have them available, they can let the customer know upfront, instead of 48 hours before our appointment.

    Do not go here!

    DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give no stars, I would. 3 weeks before my wedding on July 23rd, on the day of my intended first fitting on June 30th, I was called and told my wedding dress would not arrive in time. Not only was I unable to wear the dress I had picked out and was so excited for, but Pronovias also left me with no time to get an alternative dress. I was robbed of the opportunity to get a new dress I felt special in on one of the most important days of my life. The company would have known if the dress had shipped 2-3 weeks prior and should have been checking in on the production. I had purchased the dress in January and come into the store 2 additional times since purchasing the dress for veil selection and hair accessory selection and was reassured everything was on track with my dress during those appointments. On July 1st, I went into the store and Emma from Pronovias stated that the store would not be able to issue a refund and that I would have to wait to receive a call in order for the refund to be issued, which would be in 2 business days. It is now Saturday, July 9th and I have not yet received a call nor a refund for the dress and veil. Words cannot express how frustrated and disappointed I am with this company. I do not wish this on any other bride and am writing this review to warn other brides from purchasing from the Pronovias flagship store in NYC as this has caused so much stress and put a raincloud over our wedding.

    Worst Part of our Wedding

    Working with Pronovias was easily the worst, most stressful part of our wedding - avoid them if at all possible! After initially ordering the wrong color dress and creating a last-minute panic, the correct dress malfunctioned on our wedding day (zipper wouldn't work). After corporate promised they would refund us and fix the dress 6 months ago, the issue still isn't finalized and our dozens of calls and emails are being ignored. We wish we never found this company to begin with.

    Go better elsewhere my worse nightmare

    Pandemie Hit and never saw my dress. Manager doesn’t reply to email. Customer service is in Spain. Luckily I speak Spanish and could get my money back after almost 2 years. By first fitting dress wasn’t complete and in he wrong size. Then they closed the store down. Nobody answers emails or calls. Don’t go there.

    Lost dress in the mail

    They LOST my dress in the mail a week before my wedding. The wedding had been postponed due to Covid because my husband was a first responder at the epicenter hospital in NYC, so this was the cherry on top of a really rough year. Finding the dress was great but if I had to do it again, I would've taken the dress and run. It started with the alterations process when the seamstress made a huge deal about how I had gained weight during COVID ( I also have an auto-immune disease which contributed to weight gain), told me that I need to stop eating, and said that she couldnt do any alterations until I properly fit into it. And everytime someone passed by to see me in the dress she would tell them about how I gained weight and didnt fit into it. I was in tears after my first appointment where I was repeatedly body shamed and finally got a hold of someone and told them about my experience and they told me I would have another seamstress so not to worry. I show up at my 2nd appointment and there she was, the same seamstress. They never got another seamstress for me but they had her 'chaperoned' so she wouldn't say anything again. After the alteration process was over they told me they would overnight the dress to my mom's house in TX since that's where the wedding would be. I wait and wait and never receive any tracking information. For the next week I call the store every day and either NO ONE picks up or it's a completely different person and they take my name and number down and let me know they would call me back, which they never did. Finally I get the tracking information but the dress never arrives to my mom's house. I call and call and no one answers so I finally call FedEx and they flag it and they tell me they will look for it. Since no one at pronovias returned my calls I run to the store and the manager tells me that the dress had been lost in the mail but they found in somewhere in PA and it was going to be returned back to the store the next day. I feel like me calling FedEx probably flagged for them and they wouldve never noticed. I ask her if I hadn't been calling excessively would they have even known and she says "I dont know." They asked me if I wanted to reship it and I told them absolutely not. So they either messed up the shipping or lied about shipping it out at all because I show up the next day (1 day before I was supposed to fly out for my wedding) to pick it up and the dress was in the same spot I left it the week prior in the store. Do not take your chances, I already had postponed my wedding once due to covid and it was not worth the additional stress. Not calling people back who have paid for a service and are desperately seeking answers is completely unacceptable.

    Poor quality, poorer service.

    They made my dress the wrong color and sewed the sleeves crooked. Pretty bad for a high end designer. Even worse, they refused to remake it so I’m now having to rebuild the dress. Would steer clear unless your like the thrill of not having the dress your ordered for your wedding!

    Heartbreaking

    SAVE YOURSELF THE TEARS, HEADACHE AND HEARTACHE, buy a dress from anywhere else! There are so many other great designers available who care about how they treat their customers. I have no doubt every negative review on google is 100% accurate after my year and a half long troubles with this store and company.

    They ruined the dress I had to settle on after messing up the first order. And overall made the experience of getting a wedding dress an absolute nightmare. My wedding was postponed 2 weeks before it’s original date and choosing a dress from them was and continues to be the worst experience of all. Their customer service will not help and they will drag you along endlessly instead of resolving the issues.

    Besides delivering a dress with fit issues not addressed as was agreed upon during alterations appointments, they left off beadwork, ruined other beadwork on the gown, stitched cups lopsided & through the front of the dress and caused a ripple in reattaching design elements. I have been fighting for 9 months for a resolution and the only update I get from Barcelona is that it is being reviewed.
