A question my wife and I asked all our guests after the wedding: “Did you have fun?”
Here is the response we got literally every single time we asked that: “Yes we had so much fun! Also, your MC was hilarious, we were laughing the entire time!”
Mind you we had an open bar and really good food, with Chic-fil-a at the end of the wedding. Yet, Paul Kim is who created the memories for us and our guests. That is what we wanted. An MC who would light up the room with energy and laughter. We got that in spades having PK MC our wedding.
For us, he was perfect: He’s a Korean who use to live in Glendale. I’m an Armenian man who married a Korean woman who now live in Glendale He got the kids involved in the wedding festivities and kept all the adults engaged and laughing with games and jokes. With that, he was able to bring the to sides of the family and the two cultures together and celebrate in one big party.

User2096113 Sent on 04/14/2015I used Prokreation for my wedding in March 2015. PK was my MC, and he also brought a DJ with him. From the very beginning, PK was very professional and polite. During our early wedding planning stages, he was eager to answer our questions and assist us in any way possible. He's been in the wedding business for a long time, so he really knows his stuff. He's got a strange gift of keep neurotic brides calm and happy. Let's call him "the bride whisperer" LOL. Shortly before the wedding, he went out of his way to check out my venue, and to play with the A/V equipment to ensure that wedding day would be seamless, I didn't even ask him to do that. Its a true sign of how dedicated he is to please his clients. On wedding day, we had a few hiccups with the wedding schedule (not his fault), but he was able to adapt quickly and keep the wedding moving. He opened with some comedy, which had the whole audience roaring in laughter. He really knows how to loosen up a crowd. Its REALLY important to have a good MC, because the MC will set the tone for your whole wedding. Orginally, I wanted to go with someone cheaper, but my hubby convinced me to go with PK (my hubby previously attended a wedding that PK did). I'm glad we picked PK, because he truly made my wedding fun and memorable for everyone. Book him ASAP, because he's really hot in demand!

Bonnie Sent on 12/19/2011PK is one of the reasons why our guests had so much fun at our wedding. How do I know? I've been approached by many of our guests, Asian and non-Asian alike, asking me "Where did you find your MC?! He's f***ing hilarious!!!"
He had everything set up because he arrived early to make sure everything was working. He had homework for my husband and I to do so that he could be prepared for our wedding.
He responded well to my frantic, last minute emails and worked it into the wedding. I literally sent him stuff at 1:30 a.m. the day of my wedding. ^____^
He entertained our guests, he made up a few songs, he even did one of my favorite PK comedy skits.
He is a true professional and ran our wedding just the way I had only imagined it could be. There were no awkward moments. He kept everyone laughing and now a bunch of them want me to take them to see him when he performs.
If you want your guests to laugh, have a good time and enjoy your special night, you should consider Paul and his DJ. My guests told me they had so much fun dancing the night away and how much their feet hated them the following days. That's right. You heard me. My feet still hurt. I've been married for 4 days now.
Thanks, Paul. You and the DJ really made our wedding fun, enjoyable and memorable not only for us but for our guests. :) -

Debbie Sent on 12/08/2014One of our groomsmen attended a wedding PK did before and told us he was "a lot of fun... best one he's seen." When I contacted the mutual friend that booked PK, he also gave a great recommendation and suggested I contact him ASAP since he's busy and in high demand. Aside from wedding events, he also does stand up at the Laugh Factory, as well as Kollaboration.
On the night of our wedding, he was on point. He kept our guests entertained the entire time. He joked about how awkward some of our speeches were (trust me, it was needed), was quick to pick up on details and poke fun, and led table games that were great for all ages.
PK was also attentive to our needs. Back when we were making buffet arrangements with our caterer, we were told that we would have food brought to us for dinner. Before excusing tables for the buffet, my coordinator told us we could get up to get our food first. I must have looked so confused since I was expecting it would be brought to us. Not knowing this detail, PK immediately jumped in and offered to get our food.
As for music, we sent our list very late. His DJ played most of the music we asked for, but it quickly changed gears when we brought out surprise LED foam light sticks for our guests. We weren't expecting it to turn into a rave, but his DJ changed the setting quickly and kept everyone dancing!
We also had a slideshow on the night of the wedding. We used another vendor's screen and PK's projector. We were able to hook up our MacBook Pro to their equipment. Unfortunately, my husband forgot to get our power adaptor back. PK later found it with his equipment and mailed it back to us, free of charge.
Many of our guests later told us he was the best MC they've ever seen. The best compliment you can give is a referral - and that referral led to PK MCing my brother's wedding a few weeks ago. Having worked with him, as well as see him as a guest, I can say that PK is the absolute best at what he does. -

Valerie Sent on 03/05/2011I was referred to PK through my wedding coordinator and I can see why! We had a very easy time working with PK on pretty short notice (booked only a few months before the wedding). He seemed to understand right away that we weren't going for anything crazy since most of our guest were adults, and that we had to be respectful of the Groom's conservative family.
Prokreation provided ceremony, dining, and reception music (they were there almost 8 hours) in a tricky area (went across 3 separate spaces at the venue) but there was never any stop or flow in the music. They also provided lighting for the dance room and PK's amazing sense of humor to get the reception started right. All this for what seemed to me and my husband a VERY reasonable price.
All the ceremony music we asked for was played (there was one minor technical mishap as I was walking down the aisle, but we determined it was just the officiant turning on her microphone). They were able to get a few obscure songs that we requested without any difficulty. Only one of the songs I had on my "Do Not Play" list made it out to the reception, but I have a feeling my mom begged. Also, the DJ was very good at telling guests to ask me if it was okay to play some very off the wall music.
If the venue didn't have very strict guidelines as to when the party (and music) had to stop, we could have kept going for several more hours! The package also included some games... one of which was a hula hoop contest! My guest LOVED it!
We had a great time at our wedding and heard great comments from our guests at how funny the MC was. I think if you have an open mind about your reception entertainment, PK and his team is the way to go! -

Kathy Sent on 05/25/2010PK is a wonderful person. I think he might have been off his A game. He had just had a crisis in his family so he might have had his mind on that.
Pros: His jokes were very funny. And he even sang a rap for us.
He is very easy to get along with.
He is in tune with the generation (not your typical fobby emcee)
His fee is reasonable for his work.
Cons: We weren't able to meet to talk about our wedding because he was always busy during the weekends and he lived too far away.
He didn't make sure people were paying attention, he never grabbed them into the party (most people, including the maid of honor, noticed when we cut the cake).
He didn't do anything to get people onto the dancefloor (I had to go to the tables and grab them)

I believe Kathy's assessment was mostly fair but I believe I deserve a higher score than 3.7.
My father was in a coma and passed away right after the wedding. I flew back from Korea to do the wedding. Kathy wanted boxing gloves for one of the games and I spent money out of my pocket to buy the gloves. When Kathy was changing her dress outside the room, we played a dance contest and the entire crowd was cheering and into it.
There was an R & B Trio that sang during the wedding and they needed a cord to connect to my system and I made sure to go buy that before the wedding as well.
As far as getting people involved during the cake cutting, I was actually the one making sure the photographer and videographer were ready immediately following the slide show to capture the cake cutting while everyone else was watching.
Kathy, my apologies you weren't more satisfied with our service. I understand if you don't refer us but I hope you understand I was doing my best.
