Rick DJed our wedding on 9/14/24 and I have never heard so many people talk about what an amazing DJ he was! We had so many comments like “I’ve been to a lot of weddings and that was the best DJ and music ever”. I had several people ask for his contact info for future weddings. Rick’s dinner set list had people singing and dancing in their seats as they ate, already bringing the vibes up before the dance floor ever opened. Rick fit all our music requests, while also matching the vibe of the room and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, from guests in their early 20s to guests in their 80s! The dance floor was full the entire night! Leading up to our wedding, Rick was communicative and easy to work with. We had a few special requests and dedications and even changed our mind a few times along the way, and Rick was always easily able to accommodate whatever we wanted to do. A good DJ is so important for your wedding and I am so thankful we had Rick, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an stress-free experience, fun reception, and lively dance floor!!Pro City DJ's reply:

Amazing dj!
Pro City DJ was the DJ at my wedding back in September and he was absolutely amazing. When in contact with Pro City DJ before choosing him for our wedding, he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He answered all of my questions and was transparent about the price and his recommendations. We had a backyard wedding in wine country with dirt roads and limited access to electricity. Pro City DJ was extremely versed with this type of wedding and knew exactly how to navigate it. After deciding to go with Pro City DJ, he sent an email stating exactly what to expect in the weeks leading up to the wedding and made it clear exactly what he expected from my husband and I. Over the course of several emails back and forth, he takes the time to get to learn about you, your preferences, and even takes into account what type of crowd will be at your event. He made several draft documents before finalizing the music plan to truly perfect the atmosphere of our wedding day. My husband and I didn't have a wedding planner so Pro City DJ took initiative to create a minute by minute plan for our wedding day and planned it all around music. Not only did he DJ our wedding but he was also emcee and made any announcements that we asked of him. The day of the wedding, he was FANTASTIC and everything ran smoothly because of him. During the reception, he played music for 2 hours and did an exceptional job at keeping the party going. Pro City DJ is extraordinary at his job and knew how to read the crowd and what songs were getting the most interaction. There was one song that got less people on the dance floor, he took immediate note and changed the music and got people back on the dance floor for the rest of the night. He is so friendly, professional, and truly made our wedding 100x better than it would have been with just an average DJ. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would! If you have the opportunity to hire Pro City DJ for your event, I would HIGHLY recommend. -

Sound System
Rick's sound system was had great presence and low end. It was perfect.
Professionalism
Rick was on time and coordinated well with the planners. His microphone and announcements worked great.
Music Selection
We concocted a spotify playlist for rick and he used those songs as well as the specific songs we selected for different parts of the reception "bouquet toss" "first dance" etc. All of the music was well selected by Rick to fill the gaps and keep the party moving.

Can't express how grateful we are for Rick. He DJed our wedding in April 2024 and we could not have imagined going with any other DJ. He is such a pleasure to work with and really made the wedding planning process fun. Throughout the planning process, he created this document for my wife and I to fill out together, and we could see how putting in effort for the document prevented us from stressing about the wedding down the road. For our open dance set, he was incredible at mixing all of our favorite songs and got our wedding guests dancing all night long, just as we envisioned. His photobooth services were also highly worth it for us and our guests. Would definitely recommend Rick at Pro City DJ for anyone getting married in Temecula or the surrounding area!Pro City DJ's reply:

I hired Rick to DJ and run photo booth for my wedding earlier this month. Rick was wonderful to work with and made everything so easy. The dance floor was occupied all night and everyone loved the photo booth! Rick emails an easy to use document to keep track of what songs will play when and asked for our personal song choices for dance sets. We asked all our guests which songs they would like to request (built into the RSVP) and Rick also played each of those! Highly recommend. Pic of us when we found umbrellas at the venue and Rick played “umbrella” by Rhianna. So fun!Pro City DJ's reply:

My Wedding was 1 year ago! Alittle late on my review, but in celebrating our 1st year anniversary yesterday, I had to come and say something. First off, Rick is insanely organized. He'll ask you questions you never thought of. Little details that could have easily been missed had Rick not have been there. He creates a timeline that catches all the little details that make a big difference. He was a great MC. He has a great voice, great style, awesome energy. The music was right on point. I never heard something I cringed too. He also will do exactly what is important to you. For example, I didn't want the music to stop or for the cake cutting to be announced. That's a dancefloor killer. AND I wanted only 2 designated people to give speeches. And he was instructed that if anyone tried to take the mic, to tackle them! lol I got what I wanted, only 2! We also got his photo booth. The neat part about that is I can't believe how many of my guests took pictures without gluing a copy in the photo book for me! But no worries, because Rick sent me a digital copy of every picture taken. The schedule moved forward smoothly. He worked great with my coordinator. The dance floor was always packed. The cake lighting was perfect. He brought props galore, And my dancefloor monogram was perfect! There were NO technical issues, no timing issues, and his lighting made my reception dance floor magic! I can't imagine a wedding without Rick.

Rick was a fantastic addition to my wedding. Our personalities clicked right away. He has a very humble attitude, and is willing to go above an beyond for you. Rick was actually my favorite vendor. He helped me with my timeline, and suggested great ideas. Rick also worked with me on my budget, and broke down his pricing, and explained why it’s priced where it was (he was very informative). If you want someone very organized and straight to the point he’s your guy. Thank you so much rick sorry my review was late lol. -

Just incredible. DJ Rick was truly a God-send; from the moment I contacted him through our wedding day festivities, he went above and beyond my expectations. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail really solidified him as an invaluable part of our wedding planning; the interactive document he created was extremely helpful, and by working on it via GoogleDocs, it helped provide a clear vision for the day and all key timeline points. We were able to share it with all appropriate parties once it was finalized: our bridal and groom parties, day-of-coordinator, photographer, etc. and it really helped to have everyone on the same page.
On the day of, our ceremony went without a hitch; the coordination and quality of the songs/microphones was unparalleled. Rick moved the party right along through cocktail hour, our grand entrance (where each pair had a unique entry song), and finally our reception; there was never a dull moment on the dance floor! Meanwhile, our guests were able to enjoy the photobooth he provided, and that was a hit as well.
DJ Rick made everything look easy, but in reality I know that he spent hours of careful planning and set up to ensure that everything was perfect for us on our special day. For that, I cannot thank him enough. Like the other reviews say, do yourself a favor and reach out to him if you’re looking for the most qualified DJ/emcee. I highly recommend him and would love to work with him again.

One word.. Amazing!!!
Rick was not only the most absolutely amazing DJ, but he was fantastic to work with. My wedding was in Temecula at Wilson Creek Winery and I live in Virginia. Let me tell you, planning a wedding when you are thousands of miles away from the action is absolutely a nightmare. Rick not only made the whole process smooth but he was so communicative and answer all my questions promptly. He was also a reason to my sanity when my wedding coordinator changed abruptly. He walked me through everything when I was confused to where to even begin. He used google doc to make sure all the music, timeline, special dances, and everything is in sync. He is open to music we send him, and if you are like me and you have no clue, he has is covered. My family is all Asian and it is hard to get them out of their shell and dance! Rick was able to get all of them out on the dance floor and dance all night. That is some awesome DJing skills. He got us all pumped and dancing all night and there was so much laughter in the reception room all night! I am so grateful to have come across Rick and Pro City DJ. He is absolutely a preferred vendor to any outdoor/indoor reception. He gave us an amazing discount because my husband is in the military. Rick also worked with us because our wedding date changed so often, and reassured me that he will take care of everything. Rick is a lifesaver and even after the wedding, I’m hearing from both sides of my family that the DJ was phenomenal. Thank you!!!! -

Rick Walker with Pro City DJ provided the audio/visual support, lighting and music/DJ services as well as the photo booth for Montessori in Redlands school for our annual fundraising gala and auction event held on Saturday March 9th, 2019 at the Mitten Building in Redlands Ca. I received a quote promptly after contacting him with the event needs. It was detailed yet straight-forward and included thorough explanations and additional questions to help navigate through the more technical details of our lengthy program. He was adaptive and flexible, as well as familiar and knowledgeable about the venue and eager to understand every aspect of the event, and even the seemingly irrelevant information was never too minor for him to know, which demonstrated his ability to envision the whole program and be proactive in finding a solution for any potential interruption to the flow of the event, which is NOT the norm that I have experienced in my years of working with a variety of DJ’s. He absolutely goes above and beyond. I arrived 3 hours prior to the event to find everything already set up which gave us plenty of time to run through the program and discuss any last minute changes which gave me the confidence and assurance that every event planner needs a few hours prior to the start of the event. I was so pleased with how seamless everything flowed and I heard nothing but positive comments from the Gala committee and attendees about the music selection (that fit perfectly for the crowd in attendance) and the lighting, the photo booth, etc.! Kudos to Rick Walker on a fantastic job for our event, which some guests said was one of, if not the, best they had ever been to! I have also worked with Rick several times in the past for weddings when I was the Director of Events for a venue in Palm Springs, all of which were a total success. I highly recommend Pro City DJ for any corporate celebration, fundraising event, wedding and social events as he can do it all! -

We recently hired Pro City DJ for my son's wedding. I planned the wedding as my son and his bride live out of state. Feeling more that a little overwhelmed, Rick walked me through every step of the planning of the event. I did not realize that the DJ does more than play music - he MC's and orchestrates the entire day! Rick was absolutely outstanding. The wedding and reception were perfect. The music transitions during the ceremony were perfectly timed. People were partying until the very end of the reception! We also hired Rick to do the phioto booth. Everyone loved it! Vishnu Sent on 09/22/2018Rick and Suzanne are the best! They've a great music selection and helped create an awesome playlist for our indo-mexican wedding and that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Rick helped plan our wedding agenda out and helped coordinate the whole event across an outdoor setting for the ceremony and indoor setting for the reception. He was very responsive and helped come up with the schedule at a very short notice. He's got tons of experience with weddings, music and scheduling.
Their energy levels are super high and they're very enthusiastic about wedding planning and meeting your specific music needs. -

Amber Sent on 04/17/2018I am so glad I hired Rick as our DJ! We were having issues with our wedding planner and Rick really helped ease my mind by working with me to nail down a timeline. Something that was very unexpected from a DJ's services. You can tell right away how passionate he is about DJing. The moment the dancing started, there was not a single person sitting! My husband and I were joking about how we never got to make the rounds to see our guests at their tables because we visited with them all on the dance floor! People were having a BLAST and kept telling us for days after how great the music choices were. My husband also has a very difficult last name and he pronounced it correctly every time! Some of our friends are still trying to figure it out! I can't recommend Rick enough. He knows exactly when to play the current hits and when to play the oldies! -

Music is huge for us and we wanted someone that would not only play the music for the dance floor, but someone who we could also rely on for anything that had to do with sound, MCing, etc. He was always prompt and organized in his email exchanges, which was so helpful in the midst of wedding planning frenzy. He guided us through the selection of our songs and gave helpful feedback from his clear experience in the industry. On the day of the wedding, he showed up on time (maybe even earlier), and made sure all audio needs were taken care of. During the dance portion of the reception, he read the crowd well, and ensured all guests (including older relatives) were constantly on the floor by playing a good variety of music. Even our guests mentioned that the dance floor was enjoyable and "festive" as well as was the music played during the cocktail hour and dinner. We certainly enjoyed having Rick on our team of vendors for our wedding and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.Pro City DJ's reply:
