    Best COVID wedding reception

I hosted my pandemic wedding reception here with 40 guests. It was the best experience working with Lori and her team. They even put up bistro lights on the Terrace and took care to add some last minute paper lanterns I left for them. Really spectacular!

    We loved it

We LOVED having our wedding at the Princeton Marriott at Forrestal! Truly, from start to finish, the process was SO SIMPLE, and the hotel staff were so so accommodating. We would up working with Lori, who was an absolute dream to work with. We were set on a wedding in a hotel in order to have one place for guests in case of weather etc, and the venue and staff did not disappoint! We had a beautiful ceremony on site and a cocktail and reception that rivals any venue I've ever seen! It was wonderful to have staff who set up and cleaned up all of our decorations and items, so we could just focus on our special day! We got ready in the bridal suite and returned as husband and wife to champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Truly, our wedding was magical because it was held here! And, considering what we got, great food, helpful staff, no set up or cleanup, and peace of mind- it was reasonably priced! (I know thats a huge deciding factor!). Good luck in your choice, but give this place a second look, its worth it!

    Princeton Marriott at Forrestal's reply:

    Good Morning Christina,

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate hearing from you and I will be sure to share with our Staff.

The Princeton Marriott is so unique and beautiful; my husband and I loved the venue! Lori was so easy to work with and always promptly responded to our requests. The guests loved the food at the venue, and the pricing was within our budget. The gazebo area was just perfect for the ceremony, and even with 200 plus guest it was not filled. It was fun to see some people at the pool watching our wedding! All in all a perfect venue for a wedding!

My husband and I have always loved this hotel, even before it came under the Marriott's umbrella - so it seemed like a no-brainer to have our special day there. We originally worked with Zach who left the hotel early in the process. We were then blessed to work with Lori. Lori is simply AMAZING!! From start to finish, she kept us calm and was very helpful and patient with our laid-back ("whatever") style. On the day of the wedding, she transformed a plain ceremony space and made it beautiful! For the rest of the day, she was visible and more than helpful - as was the rest of the staff. For what we got, our pockets were not broken and they were ever so patient with our guests who all waited until the last minute to book their rooms. I think the spa could do a bit more about special pricing for brides/grooms, but otherwise, I HIGHLY recommend the Marriott at Forrestal and if you are blessed enough to get LORI REZENDES, you are blessed indeed!

Lori was great to work with, as was her staff. I was thrilled with my wedding weekend at the Marriott: from lodging, to rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and two breakfasts, I had the time of my life. Wonderful food, service, and easy to work with. Thank you!!

I recently got married at the Princeton Marriott @ Forrestal Village,Sat,Oct,12,2013. I can't say enough about this venue. I starting planning about 7-8 months prior to my date. I wanted a place that had everything in one spot ,a beautiful outdoor space for the ceremony, a cozy space for the cocktail hour n close by a classy ballroom for the reception.
Not only did I get what I wanted ,I received so much more, the staff was very kind and professional every time I walked in, from the customer service rep to the bellman . My wedding consultant ,Zach Witt ,was extremely patient, he helped me navigate thru all the details seamlessly ,he made it fun. His partner Lori was also a prize.
When the big day finally came ,the staff quickly set up my ceremony outside in front of a beautiful gazebo,it rained the day b4 ,so we actually set up inside the night b4 but when the sun came out that morning, the staff jumped on it.
I had a buffet ,with a carving station ,candy bar and a cake from the famous Carlos Bakery ,which the Marriott provided. The food was excellent , the usual confusion and long lines that comes with a buffet did not occur ,.Zach set up the buffet in a separate room, nxt to the reception , I had a plated salad ,so while we were getting tossed ,people were able have their salads and Zach discretely walked up to each table to let them know it was time for them to head to the buffet. It went seamless ,I also had a couple unexpected guest n Zach took care of it right away with no complaints.
We had a personal server that was incredible ,Norma ,she packed away food for us and took it to our room ,as well as cake ,candy ,etc. she was awesome. And the honeymoon suite was Fabulous. Not in my wildest dreams could I have imaged such a perfect day , if not for the staff at the Princeton Marriott ,I believe it would have been different.
I am overjoyed and overwhelmed with the care, personal touch and professionalism of the Princeton Marriott. Thank u so much.

    Lori saved our wedding.

We booked our ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton, about 5 miles down the road from the Marriott. We weren't notified when the wedding coordinator resigned, weren't told that our wedding was being booked during the Princeton Lacrosse Tournament (our guests had a hell of a time reserving rooms), were given a false timetable for the hotel's construction (the ballroom should have been finished by December, and in May it still wasn't ready for our July wedding), and the food and service at the tasting was unacceptable.

The tasting was so horrendous (cold food, spilled wine, and an interim wedding coordinator who had no intention of even sitting with us, let alone discussing the food for the event) that my father and I left in the middle of it to drive up to the Marriott. We asked if they had availability on our wedding date, they said yes, and we were out of our old contract in an hour and sitting in Lori's office.

Lori was professional, organized, and sympathetic. The Marriott's price tag was higher than the Hyatt's, but Lori worked with us to bring the cost per head down to something we could afford. She scheduled a tasting for us the week after we strolled in, and the experience was uplifting. We forgot all about the difficulties and enjoyed the process after that. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, and everyone had a wonderful time.

Our wedding had to be moved from LBI because of Hurricane Sandy and the Princeton Marriott came to our rescue. Lori, the event manager was amazing to work with and made all our ideas come true. She followed through on everything she said they would do, and that was in a matter of 10 days. I cna only imagine what they could do if you plan with her for 6 months. The staff were incredibly nice and super helpful, the food was amazing. We couldn't have asked for anything more. I highly recommend getting married there.

The Princeton Marriott at Forrestal is a beautiful hotel and great for housing wedding guests. We got married at Garden Falls and ran shuttles for guests from Forrestal. The service and responsiveness leading up to and on the actual wedding weekend was absolutely fantastic. They work very well with outside catering, and their food is also fantastic.

We held our ceremony and reception at the Princeton Marriott. Our contact was Lori, and to be honest, that is what sold us on the venue. Her level of professionalism was beyond compare. We looked at a number of venues, and she was the only person who thought to have an iPad with her as we walked through the spaces so we could see what it would look like set up for a reception like ours.

She was flexible and overly accommodating for all of our needs and wants to make sure we had the best day possible. There were a few hiccups here and there, but nothing that would leave a blemish on the happiest day of our lives. The Marriott ended up being the most expensive of all of our options, but it is true, you get what you pay for. All of our guests had a wonderful time, and I wouldn't hesitate to book a future event with Lori and the wonderful people of the Marriott.

Special note on the hotel itself, our wedding announcement ran in the New York Times. We asked at the front desk if they happened to have any copies of that paper in house, it happens to be a paper that they do not keep in house. They had their shuttle driver go out and buy us a copy and delivered it to where we were hosting a breakfast. We could not have been any happier!

    This venue is amazing!

The whole experience with this venue was just amazing from start to finish. Sarah helped us to find the perfect menu and recommended other vendors. Everything, organization, food, music, entertainment was exactly how I dreamed it would be. Thanks again!

For most of the planning we had a easy time working with the hotel. The day of the wedding we had a number of things go wrong. First, the person who organized the ceremony outside did not do a good job. Both mother of the brides came into the ceremony the same as guests and were not escorted as they were supposed to be. My programs and bubbles were also not passed out to the guests or even left on the seats. Then at the reception we chose to have butter and herb filet, but were given filet with a seasoning which some guests could not eat. Also one guest didn’t get her dinner until the time everyone else was about done. The courses were rushed to the point that the guests left by 11pm even though we had the room until 12pm.
