I truly cannot say enough good things about the Primp team!!! Not only did Chrissy quickly assist me so close to my wedding when dates were quickly filling up, but she was AMAZING to work with! Along with the rest of her team! Made me and the girls feel so happy and look beautiful. All of our hair and makeup were PERFECT! For me, two days in a row as they also did my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner. They’re fantastic and I would work with them a million more times!

Perfect for natural glam

I am not a person that does my hair or wear makeup so it was important for me to find someone to do more natural looking makeup that would still look amazing in pictures and let me say Malari and Brittany from Primp Beauty delivered.

Absolutely Perfect!

Chrissy and her team at Primp stopped at nothing to make sure we had a perfect experience. We had some last minute changes due to power outages in the area. This AMAZING team of professionals helped ease our nerves, accommodated us in the studio when we ended up with no power at our planned site, made us feel at home and most importantly, made my tribe of ladies look absolutely GORGEOUS!! If there were 10 stars to give, this team gets 11!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Amazing Experience

I cannot say enough positive things about Primp Beauty. Chrissy is amazing to work with, she is so positive and fun. When I wasn’t 100% about my look after my trial she immediately offered to change a few things to see if I liked it better. She was patient and made the process go smoothly. I have short, thin hair and knew I wanted extensions for my big day but was nervous to have the beaded rows put in so they created clip ins for me. The day of my trial my hair was too thin for clip-ins so I was pretty bummed. Thankfully these girls know what they are doing! Jen literally took the clips out of my extensions and stayed late to put beaded row extensions in my hair instead. They gave me beautiful mermaid hair and were so helpful and informative about extensions. My hair turned out stunning. I still have the extensions in 6 weeks later and they are still stunning, I have an appointment in a couple weeks to get my extensions moved up, officially hooked. The day of my wedding went smoothly and they finished with my hair and makeup for myself, my mom, and bridesmaids early. My bridal party looked stunning! Great girls to work with, so thankful I chose Primp Beauty!

A Truly Wonderful Experience

I'm so glad I chose Primp Beauty for my bridal makeup! Kay did my trial and my day-of makeup and she made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the entire process. She listened to my feedback and was willing to make small tweaks until I was 100% satisfied with my look. She also bought new lashes that she thought I would like prior to my day-of appointment and gave me a damp sponge to take to my venue so I could give myself touch-ups if necessary. I was so touched by these kind gestures. I can't wait to work with Primp again for my larger reception next year!

Primp was fantastic from my trial to my wedding day. I had a large bridal party and they got everyone's hair and makeup done swiftly and efficiently and everyone looked great. You're Doing Amazing Sweetie!!

I chose Primp Beauty based on price, location and because I wanted to be at a salon. I had 3 bridesmaids and myself who did their hair and makeup at the Primp Beauty Salon. I absolutely loved how everyone looked!! They made sure we were on time as much as they could and just did amazing! They were very friendly and attentive! Bride: $170 plus tip Bridesmaids: $150 plus tip (need to bring cash on wedding day for tip) I took a risk and didn't do any trials but it turned out beautiful!!

They will make you look Beautiful!

Finding a good makeup artist and hair stylist is like finding a needle in a haystack and I found the golden needle by booking Primp Beauty. I do not wear much makeup, so I started my search on Instagram to do some research on who I might be able to use. I wanted to make it as simple as possible for my bridal party and have one vendor for both. I ended up stumbling upon Primp Beauty and I am so thankful I did. My trial hair and make up was such a great experience Allison nailed the hairstyle I wanted for my big day and did a natural look for makeup since I don’t normally wear it. The Big day was a success. Allison arrived promptly and got right to work. Everyone was thrilled with their finished looks. She did 3 hair/makeup and 2 makeup only. We had such a great time in the bridal suite and she fit right in laughing with us and having a good time but keeping us on schedule. I can’t thank her enough. I got so many compliments on my hair. If I ever need to be done up again for an event, Primp Beauty will be my first call. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing service

Primp helped make me feel the most gorgeous I have ever felt on the day I wanted to the most! They glammed up my entire squad and I highly recommend them. They are quick and efficient with stunning results. I cried a lot, but my makeup stayed in place! They worked well with everyone to accommodate the hair and makeup styles requested, while making suggestions based on skin tones and hair type. I would use them again!! Also, their spray tanning was perfect.

Book with Ana!

All I can say is book with them immediately! Especially Ana! I have naturally thick, long, coarse curly hair and I had a DISASTROUS trial with another company. I also love full coverage, dramatic makeup, and again, the first company I did a trial with was terrible. I have never been more frustrated and disappointed. Then my sister found primp! After sending pictures of my natural hair and the makeup I do on my own, then pictures from my awful trial, the owner decided to get me in for a trial right away with Ana. She did an incredible job at my trial, but did even better the day of! I didn't think I could like my hair and makeup more than I did at the trial, but she outdid herself! And she was so incredibly sweet. I felt like a movie star! Ana also did updos for most of my girls, then Kaylee did makeup for some of them. We loved all of the hair and makeup done by Ana and Kaylee. Khrystyna was also helping with hair and makeup, and she did a decent job, but it seemed like she was a little bit less experienced than the other two. My girls all still looked beautiful!

Chrissy and her glam squad are absolutely awesome! I read many reviews when selecting a beauty company and loved Primp right away! I had an introductory call with Primp to answer questions and within minutes, I knew that I had found my hair and makeup stylists for my wedding. The Primp team is highly talented and specializes in larger bridal parties. I had 8 bridesmaids, then myself and my mom to get ready. Primp arrived right on time on the wedding day, got set up quickly, and kept the morning going from 8 AM to around noon. Each of my bridesmaids, my mom, and I all felt that Primp personalized their services to whatever the person they were working on wanted. All of my bridesmaids had different hair and makeup styles and are all still raving about how much they loved Primp and how great they felt on the wedding day! Prior to the day of, Chrissy also does hair trials for the bride, which helped me select my hair and makeup style and be sure that it was the look I was going for. Overall, Primp exceeded my expectations and created a memorable, fun and beautiful experience for myself, mom and closest friends. I would highly recommend Primp and just want to thank Chrissy and the entire team for such an incredible experience!

These ladies are wonderful, energetic, and full of all the positivity that all brides need on their big day! Chrissy and Natalia did my hair and makeup for my trial (2 looks), and all 3 of my final looks for each of my events for my traditional, big fat Indian wedding. For brides of other ethnicities, who may have elaborate jewelry, hair pieces, and head scarves, FEAR NOT!! Chrissy is very familiar with a lot of these.

Also, Megan was there to help out before my reception for my sisters. We had a last minute add on that evening, that Natalia was very accommodating for -- we just added the fees in to our total and added in extra tip.

They are timely, professional, and very responsive. I had so many compliments on my hair and makeup all weekend, especially my final look for the reception, I truly felt like a princess. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the crew to any future brides -- in fact I already have recommended them to a friend of mine who just got married today.

Primp Beauty did my hair and makeup for my engagement photos and for myself and all my bridesmaids on wedding day and they were great! Everyone's makeup looked flawless and so did all the hairstyles. Chrissy and Natalia was super nice and awesome to work with. My makeup held up great all day, even to plenty of tears. They made my wedding morning go by so smoothly - we were all ready ahead of schedule, but they took their time with everyone and we all left looking beautiful.

Wow Primp Beauty was amazing. They came out to do my hair and makeup as well as for my bridal party the morning of the wedding. They let everyone choose what they wanted to do and everyone looked great. My hair and makeup could not have been better.. I don't normally like when other people do my hair or makeup but I looked stunning and it stayed ALL NIGHT, through tears, sweat and all! (It was an extremely muggy day) And at no point did I look shiny or did my makeup run. I am so happy I went with Primp!

Wow! All I can say is Chrissy is truly an amazing talent!! After a failed trial, with another stylist- Chrissy stepped in to save the day and totally rearranged her schedule to make time to travel to the hotel to do hair and markup for me and my daughter on my wedding day. Even after my trial with Chrissy I was hesitant that I looked too “made up” ( I spend 5 minutes on my makeup) Chrissy was a true professional told me to trust her that it would look natural and show up perfectly in pictures and last throughout the night. What can I say, but I was an idiot- TRUST HER!! Looking at my wedding photos, Chrissy made me look stunning, and I’ve never received so many compliments from family and friends attending my wedding!! My makeup and hair lasted from early morning application throughout the late evening- even with me dancing my butt off! The Primp team was outstanding. So great at what they do and pleasant to work with. I loved that they made my makeup look so natural. I looked like an enhanced version of my natural self. The girls were fantastic! We had them come to our venue for our wedding day (Bay Pointe Golf Club was the BEST, by the way). I had contacted multiple places for my hair and makeup before deciding on Primp. I am very picky in this area and so were many of my bridesmaids. But, at my trial, I was VERY pleased with how everything turned out and really enjoyed working with Joanie. The day of, she and the other stylist (her name slipped my mind) were on time and things went just as-planned. I loved my hair and makeup and so did each of my bridesmaids. It lasted ALL DAY. Kate & Chrissy along with all the girls at Primp were AMAZING! I was worried about having to tell them everyones services upfront but they were super flexible & WONDERFUL to work with. I was worried about price and found primp because their prices are absolutely affordable per service & girl, with their full service hair and makeup being $140/girl which was completely affordable. At my bridal trial I was given FULL effort, attention and Kate was understanding when I wanted to try a couple different tweaks; I also overheard another bride having a slight melt-down and they were nothing but helpful towards her even when another appointment was there, they tried everything they could to make her happy without upsetting someone else.
On the day of our wedding the girls showed up early and were all set up and ready to go right on time, they made the morning fun & easy going while making everyone absolutely gorgeous. I have never seen my step mother so beautiful or felt more beautiful in my life. THANK YOU a million times Primp you made our day absolutely perfect!

Primp Beauty Concierge is an amazing company to work with for your wedding! They come directly to you with all of their supplies in tow. I was lucky to have Chrissy, Kate and Gabriela as our stylists for my wedding day! All of my bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning and none of them were unhappy with the way they looked (which is awesome because bridesmaids are sometimes difficult to please)!

The stylists listen to what you like and don't try to force anything that they think will "look good" on you which i was so happy about!

The girls were fun and I hope enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed theirs! You will not be disappointed if you choose to go with Primp for your Wedding day needs!

The girls from Primp were awesome! I had unfortunately waited until the last second to book something and lucky for me, Chrissy at Primp was able to squeeze my bridal party into their busy schedule. The communication ahead of time was awesome as well as the price. They sent me a timeline of which one of my girls would be with who getting their hair done, but were very flexible with changes to that the day of. On my wedding day, all of the stylists showed up on time and were ready to go. They were really fun to work with too! Thanks again for all your help! My girls looked amazing :)

The team at Primp was wonderful!!! They did hair and makeup for myself, 4 bridesmaids, my mom, and new mother-in-law, and everyone looked fabulous. Since none of us are usually big on flashy hair/makeup, I was concerned that we would all feel too "done-up" - but that definitely didn't happen! The Primp girls listened to what we wanted and were the perfect balance of fun, easygoing, and professional. Also, we had a pretty stressful morning since the power had gone out in the hotel (where we were planning to get ready AND have the wedding/reception that night!) and we had to be sent over to another hotel so we wouldn't have to get dressed in the dark. The Primp girls had no problem with this last minute change and just met us over at the new hotel to get us ready! Thanks ladies! I would definitely recommend Primp for any wedding.

I booked Primp Beauty Concierge to do wedding makeup for myself and a few members of my bridal party and am so happy I did! From the trial to the day of, working with Primp was so easy. They were professional, accommodating, friendly, and caring. You could tell they wanted to make sure I was happy and comfortable so my wedding day would be perfect. Eliza (makeup artist) was so great and was very flexible too - she did makeup for my mom, mother-in-law, myself, and my sister...all very different ages and ethnicity...and we all look fabulous! She was fun and always had a smile on her face! I would recommend Primp to anyone looking for makeup/hair services!

I had the best experience with Primp! Chrissy, Kate, & their team listened to everything I wanted & seriously created a masterpiece that I couldn't have been happier with! I WAS QUITE THE BRIDEZILLA TOO! :) They worked so efficiently considering I had 8 girls plus myself that needed to have full hair and airbrush makeup! All my girls were so happy & had told me previously that they were so nervous because they had bad hair & makeup experiences in the past... But with primp they were super impressed! I thought Chrissy and the team at Primp did a fantastic job! I wasn't completely happy with my appearance after the trial. I told the girls the changes I wanted made from the trial and they did a perfect job fixing the things I did not like before. I would recommend getting a trial! It allows you to figure out what you really want. I took photos after mine to see how I looked and that is when I realized what I wanted to change for the big day! The girls at Primp were all super nice and professional! They were fun and outgoing which helped me keep my nerves under control!

The Primp team came to my parent's house the day of the wedding and 4 stylists (Chrissy, Kate, Sharon and Vanessa) completed hair and airbrush makeup for 8 of us in under 3 hours. They were timely, professional and so fun to work with! Earlier in the wedding week, Chrissy had created a schedule outlining who would be doing each girl's hair and makeup and at what time, so everyone knew when they had to be where. EVERYONE looked so beautiful - not overdone, but so elegant. I would recommend Chrissy and the Primp team to any bride looking for professional beauty services on their big day!

Primp was amazing! They did the hair and makeup for my entire bridal party as well as my (bridal) makeup. We were all so pleased with how we looked and they were also great to work with; very accommodating and understanding. Everyone's makeup was really beautiful, and the updos lasted all night long. My only complaint would be that some of the updos seemed rushed, despite us running ahead of schedule. Overall, I would highly recommend Primp to any bride!

Professional service, beautiful hair and makeup

Primp was perfect for my wedding. Their studio in Plymouth is very cute and spacious. I felt I didn't have a perfect vision of what I wanted my look to be at the trial and Alex turned my theme and dress style into the perfect complimenting look. The day of, they arrived perfectly on time and completed on time. We had a wonderful morning getting ready and swapping stories. Everyone had a look that suited them and care was taken on how much or little makeup they wanted. Everyone's hair and makeup were comfortable and lasted all day. I was definitely nervous about the fake eyelashes, but they ended up not bothering me at all! Thanks Primp!

Beautiful Look!

Working with Chrissy and Primp Beauty for my wedding was such a great experience! I am clueless in the world of hair and makeup and they did such a great job with my look for my engagement pictures, trial, wedding day, and hair / makeup for my bridesmaids, flower girl, and mother! Communication was smooth and easy, and they were very flexible with scheduling all of my appointments and accommodating the schedules of all of my bridesmaids the morning of! It was so great that Chrissy and her team were able to come to us and the hotel the morning of and it made our getting ready process that much smoother. I felt so beautiful the day of my wedding, my only small complaint is that my hair was not done the same as my trial - by the time I realized it was too late to fix. But overall I was so please and would recommend Chrissy a million times over!

Awesome makeup artist!

Da’Stanza from Primp Beauty did a wonderful job with the makeup for my wedding party! She showed up on time, did makeup for 7 women on the morning of the wedding (bride, mother, and 5 bridesmaids) and made everyone look beautiful while staying on schedule. As the bride, I was very pleased with my look for the day. She made me glammed up for my special day, but it wasn’t overdone and suited my pale skin tone perfectly. My mom, sister (maid of honor), and I all did makeup trials with her and she did a great job working with us to find the best look for each of us and replicate it on the wedding day. Excellent makeup artist with a very friendly, upbeat personality!

They offer on site hair and make-up. We used them for make-up for the bridal party. You have the option to do spray foundation or brush application. Everyone got spray foundation and false eyelashes. They did a really great job. They were punctual, organized and professional and most importantly everyone looked great.

PRIMP was a saving grace for me. I was married early on a Sunday morning and no salons were open. PRIMP brought their team of stylist and made all my girls beautiful. They stayed on scheduled and didn't make anyone look ridiculous. If a maid had a complaint about how something was done, they would fix it, no questions asked. That being said, this service is not cheap by any means but you know you are getting quality service. I would also highly recommend the trial. It was a lifesaver for me and made me feel so much more comfortable on my wedding day because I already knew her. Kate was my stylist and I would recommend her.

I’m really glad I chose Primp Beauty as my hair and makeup team on my wedding day; they are amazing. My main stylists were Chrissy and Kate, and they were so professional and attentive to the look I wanted. Both were able translate the photos I provided and give me a look that would look best on me during my trial run and on my big day. I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day and I have Primp to thank for it.

You’ll hear a lot of brides say that you need to invest in professional hair and makeup services on your wedding day, and I totally agree. I just got my photos back from our photographer, and you can absolutely notice a difference. My hair and makeup really enhanced my features while still looking subtle, and I didn’t look overdone. I know that if I had done these things myself, my makeup wouldn’t have shown up on film at all and my hair would have frizzed and fallen halfway through the day.

Primp’s prices are incredibly reasonable and I can say that from experience. Previous to choosing Primp, I paid $300 for a trial run (with another stylist) that I was not happy with and I would have paid an additional $300 just for my hair and makeup on the wedding day. I paid half of what the other stylists charged me for my wedding day look with Primp. Primp gives you a detailed and professional contract that lists out all of their services and they work with you. I really felt that I was getting my money’s worth with Primp.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Primp Beauty’s services to any of my friends and family. It is absolutely worth the investment. The way I felt on my wedding was amazing, and my photos will reflect that for years to come!

I really enjoyed working with the ladies from Primp! I highly recommend Kate! She was so fun and really goes above and beyond to achieve the look the bride is requesting. I couldn't have been happier with how my hair and make up came out. Airbrush make up is worth EVERY penny. I had 7 bridesmaids and all the ladies did a great job doing my bridesmaids hair. I really like that Primp travels! It makes it so easy having them come to you on your wedding day.
The only critique I have is that if Primp continues to grow with more cliental having a receptionist might be helpful. During the time when I found Primp, I had called to book my date and it was hard to get a hold of someone. I remember playing phone tag a bit. I had left a few messages and it took days before I heard anything back.
All in all I really enjoyed working with the stylists. I hope I have a reason in the future to get all glammed up again! Thanks ladies :)

Easy to work with

Chrissy is so awesome to work with and I highly recommend her! She did my trial months ago and looking back at the pictures, I decided to change a lot for the wedding day. I was happy with how my hair turned out on my wedding day -- she did a great job with all the changes I asked for. I felt that the eye makeup at the trial was too heavy, so I wanted a more natural look on my wedding day and sent some pictures in advance of my wedding day to show them what I was looking for. I have acne scarring and I felt that they did a really fantastic job making my skin look very smooth in a natural way. I did look pretty pale, though, and wish there was more color on my face like there was in the trial. Unfortunately, I felt that my eye makeup was even heavier for the wedding day than at the trial, and looking back at pictures I wish that I stuck to the trial makeup. It was frustrating because I specifically mentioned that I wanted a more natural look on my eyes, so I wish there was a little more discussion before they started my eye makeup - they used black liquid liner which was really thick and heavy and I was pretty unhappy with the result. I did express some frustration, and I appreciated that they did the best they could to fix it, but at a certain point I just had to move on and trust that it would look good in pictures. I do think my eyes look smaller and really weighed down in the few pictures I've seen, unfortunately, but I hope that will not be the case for the professional photos. I will say that all of my bridesmaids looked fantastic AND they were finished with our hair/makeup way in advance, which was really great and made the day less stressful. They were extremely nice people, but I just wish there was a little more attention to my needs, and I wish they had looked at my trial picture and the pictures of what I wanted before the wedding day. I would definitely recommend them if you want a really glam look, though, because they seem to have that down.

Primp did an AMAZING job on our hair and make-up (bride, bridesmaids, mother of the bride) -- was so happy with how everything turned out. My only complaint is that for 7 people hair and make-up they only brought 2 people (one for hair, one for make-up) -- it worked out fine (although ran late) but it would've been nice to have had another person helping out, especially as we paid by the service.

Chrissy is super friendly and approachable. I had a great experience with her! I wasn't quite sure which girls in my wedding party were going to have their hair and makeup done and I had to choose this when I signed the contract, so that was kind of inconvenient. I ended up paying for services that the girls didn't use because it was a year in advance. However, the quality of the work that was done was awesome! Jen did our hair and I couldn't be happier. Pretty hair but very unprofessional

As much as I loved my wedding hair for the big day, I unfortunately cannot recommend this place.
Everything started out so well when I booked them back in January. As I was going though contracts through every vendor I noticed I was marked down for the trial package (a trial run and hair and makeup for the big day) and just hair and makeup for the big day. So I decided to email them. No response. I even emailed them again asking about it and told them I needed to change the time for everyone's arrival since I had a accurate timeline and got no response. But I decided I could ask someone in person the day of the trial to double check everything.
Once it got closer to the event day I emailed the company again to book my hair and makeup trial. It was very very difficult to get ahold of someone at this place- they didn't really get back to me fast with emails and when I called I would always get a voicemail.
Things changed when I told my fiancé I was very stressed out no one was getting back to me so he started to call, he would call and someone would pick up the phone answer it and then immediately hang up. It took my fiancé multiple attempts for someone to get back to him. Once he talked to someone I got the owners assistant and she was very fast at booking me my trial and the stress was gone. I even emailed the owner about the possibility of being double charged for my hair and makeup and she brushed it off like it was nothing- so I emailed the assistant and at last, I was being double charged and she fixed it immediately for me.
The trial day came around and I was unfortunately double booked and had to wait about 35 minutes for my trial to even begin. But once it did things went pretty good, the girl that worked on me was very nice- but she WAS NOT the same girl that did my hair and makeup for the big day which was fine bc at the end of the wedding day the girls and I were very happy with the outcome.
My biggest issue is the day before the wedding I got a email stating hair and makeup would start at 7:30am.
The venue didn't even open till 9am and my ceremony was at 5:30pm! I emailed them and was told since they had another wedding that day the assistant just moved my time WITHOUT telling me and they assumed she emailed me. Well unfortunately that wasn't going to work for me since no one was going to be there till 9am. I went into a full blown panic attack as the ladies gave me a hard time with changing the times even though I never approved of the time change.
The hair and makeup was great, the ladies for the big day did amazing jobs. But they DID comment on why no one was going to be ready at 7:30am for hair and makeup- well that's because that wasn't the set time any of us had since the venue wouldn't even be open. Also the makeup lady used the same makeup tools on everyone and they weren't sanitized after every person was done and directly applied the makeup to everyone with the makeup brushes. Which a lot of my bridesmaids commented on how it made them uncomfortable which I have to agree. She states that they are cleaned in between people, but all 5 of us watched her use the same stuff right after one another.
But I cannot get past the unprofessional owner. I understand wedding season is very busy, but I had made Multiple attempts and even waiting for responses that never came and even had my fiancé call.
The biggest thing that really made me not recommend this place was the fact they changed my time without telling me and thought it was going to be okay and was pretty rude when I explained why it wasn't going to work out.
Please- save yourself the stress, weddings are so stressful to everyone involved and this company just made everything so much worse in the end.

Stay away!

Due to COVID-19, I was unable to use the original makeup vendor I had hoped for on my wedding day, but found Primp online and booked them. And I unfortunately did not have a good experience with this company, but a TERRIBLE one. The overall contributing factor was the just awful communication and organization. First, not only did the personalized package I purchased and confirmed with Chrissy upon booking continuously get mixed up causing me to repeat myself to every employee I spoke with, but my wedding makeup trial got incorrectly entered in their system (even though I had the email confirmation with the correct time and they didn't care), and caused me to wait hours and hours the day of for this appointment I had booked months ago and accommodated around my work schedule. My trial went well by someone I hadn't met yet on the Primp Beauty team, but then there was an issue on my wedding day....yes, this issue was in fact the biggest hiccup on my wedding day and is the reason I would never recommend this company. Not only did the person who did my trial not show up to my wedding day, but someone whom I had NEVER MET did. And the woman who arrived explained how "Chrissy had an emergency and couldn't make it", but Chrissy was NOT who did my trail 3 weeks prior so it made absolutely no sense as to why they had someone else do my trial and book Chrissy to do my wedding day. I not only essentially paid for a trial that meant nothing, but then had to hope for the best in a stranger who had NEVER done my makeup nor knew what I was looking for based on not doing my trial with them, would be doing my makeup for the most important event of my life. And also, this was not once ever communicated to me that a) who did my trial would not be doing my wedding day makeup??? and b) another makeup artist was filling in for me on my wedding day and oh you don't know them!! I was literally having palpitations when I saw the stranger walk into the bridal suite on my wedding day. I called the company for clarification (yes, the last thing any bride wants to do on their wedding day!!), and they of course did not answer nor attempt to communicate with me afterwards. It's been 6 months and I still have yet to hear from them. Although it wasn't necessarily what I was 100% going for, the makeup artist who did do my wedding day makeup fortunately did a beautiful job and was very cognizant of time management while maintaining a professional but fun and positive attitude on my big day. To clarify again, my issue is not with the woman who did my wedding day makeup, it's the complete lack of communication and organization of this company as a whole. I understand my wedding was during a pandemic and the summer is a very busy wedding season in Michigan, but the quality of care I received for what should have been a positive experience and the amount I paid for was simply unacceptable. ****ALL BRIDES PLEASE BEWARE**** HORRIBLE SERVICE
I booked Primp Beauty for my October wedding this year back in March after reading reviews on The Knot. I thought I would be dealing with a reputable, professional, & organized company but I was 100% proven completely wrong.

I had my trial booked in September and was assigned Chrissy & Jen. Chrissy showed up dashing through the door about 15 minutes late as another artist curled my hair...all while another client of hers was waiting in the chair. Jen apparently didn't even work the day I was there so it was only going to be Chrissy doing my trial. I 100% settled for my wedding trial. I asked for a simple bun and specifically said I did not want my hair to be a bee hive or homecoming style..this must have went in one ear and out the other because I got a homecoming hair style. The makeup was caked on but since I don't wear much makeup, I will say I did feel pretty and thought I loved it. I got home and looked in the mirror and all I could see was a clown. Poorly glued lashes, beginner eyeshadow with mascara stains on it (that I pointed out and she said weren't there) and way too much blush. At this point it was far too late, I was one month away from my wedding. I chose to suck it up and reach out asking for at least a different hair style being that my head was pounding from the 50 bobby pins it in. I should've cancelled then...completely, my mistake.

Fast forward to October, 19 days before my wedding, I reached out asking for a timeline for my wedding day. The next day Chrissy reached out saying she would have the final timeline later that week. Nothing was sent. It wasn't until I sent out another email October 16th, 6 days before my wedding, asking for the services to be moved up for her to respond. On October 17th, 5 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING, Chrissy finally sends over a timeline...all is well minus an unfamiliar name. I was given an artist who was no where to be found on their social media, no reviews on any site...this did not sit well with me. Who was this girl? Does she have a portfolio? An instagram? ANYTHING? I reached out to Chrissy and said I was bummed she who did my trial would not be there but I understand, does the artist have any type of social media where I can view her work. Chrissy's response: I've got a bride early in the morning in Plymouth, I'll be wrapping up with her at 12 do you mind if I come after to do just you?

^ Completely ignoring me asking for some type of work from the artist and making me feel like a second priority.

I took it into my own hands and found the artists Instagram and what was the work she had visible?....ACRYLIC NAILS....where the heck is the bridal hair and makeup??? No where to be found. As a bride, who paid a lot of money for my hair and makeup there was NO WAY she was about to send a nail tech to my house. Chrissy mentions in text not to worry, the artist is great, she's been with Chrissy for a year and in the industry for 5....LIES LIES LIES...I was easily able to look up her cosmetology license that was issued to her in September of 2021....so let me do my math correctly...certified in the industry for ONE MONTH. The artist then makes a post about how she is a new member of the Primp Beauty Team....wait, I thought she's been with you for a year? On the 17th, I ask for a portfolio from the artist, Chrissy says she will see her tomorrow and send over. It's now 3pm on the 18th, I have to reach out again and ask for a portfolio. I finally receive work from the artist, the makeup is ALL THE SAME. Smokey eye, caked on blush, and a gloss..At this point, I was not having the artist come to my house, I felt as if I could do better makeup on myself. The lies and run around were UNACCEPTABLE. Mind you this was DAYS away from my wedding. What a Joke...

I'm sure the owner Chrissy will respond and say she did everything she could to accommodate me...Bullsh**!!! She can't even respond to one of the last 3 emails I sent asking for my money back.

I can't review their actual services because I never got to that point. Three weeks of trying to get a response before finally achieving one left me with a sour taste. Why would I choose someone who adds additional stress?

Booked a contract through primp for a July 2015 wedding. I needed to change the number of girls down by one. I reduced my wedding party by one person due to a pregnancy. Chrissy was extremely unresponsive and unwilling to make this change. Mind you this requested change is occurring 5 months before the wedding. Her tone on the phone and through email was very dismissive and condescending. She stated "this is why you shouldn't sign a contract until you are 100% positive of your needs". While I agree with that concept, a pregnancy forcing a change to a wedding party should certainly be an extenuating circumstance. Chrissy was completely unresponsive to the requested change. I am now faced with a 20% cancellation fee 5 months before my wedding due to an unwillingness by Chrissy to work with me on the needs for my wedding. My business is being taken elsewhere. Extremely poor customer service towards someone who is spending $1,000+ for services for 4 people.
