Outstanding Wedding DJ

We had the pleasure of working with Frank Smith as our wedding DJ, and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! From start to finish, Frank was incredibly organized, responsive, and professional. Throughout the planning process, he asked all the right questions, and offered thoughtful suggestions to improve the flow of events. On the day of our wedding, Frank and his assistant did a fantastic job with the music. They played songs we had requested and blended them with others that matched the same vibe, which kept the energy up throughout the night. Frank did an excellent job of making sure everything ran seamlessly, and played a huge role in making our wedding day enjoyable and stress-free. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, organized, and talented DJ!

The perfect evening.

Frank and his crew couldn't have been more responsive and professional. The evening was absolutely fantastic. We also took requests beforehand from our guests in our RSVP page that asked what music they might like to hear - and sort of regretted it originally, as it was quite an eclectic mix of things we worried might not work on the dance floor. Frank adjusted as needed, checked some of the not-so-danceable tracks during dinner instead, and made an amazing mix of things we requested versus things he added in for the dance floor itself. It's also worth noting we waited until well past the deadline to add the photo booth and he was still able to accommodate. Highly recommend both that and the glow sticks. They were a huge hit.

Frank and his partner were amazing! they communicated well, provided an easy to use website to nail down all the details for our big day. The Absolute Best Wedding DJ

DJ Frank was absolutely incredible! From the ceremony to the private last dance, everything was seamless and perfectly personalized to us. He took the time to understand what we wanted prior to the big day and made sure throughout the night that everything was perfect. The dance floor was packed from start to finish! Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had. We’re so grateful for how professional, organized, and genuinely fun Frank was. Highly, highly recommend (especially the blowout package- the foam glow sticks and CO2 cannon were a hit!)!

Fun, professional, perfect

Frank and his team are truly a group of professionals. The whole time leading up to the wedding Frank's communications and easy-to-use tool kept us on track (I can't state enough how helpful Frank was in the months prior). We were on the edge of a rain plan (outdoor ceremony) and Frank did all he could - and was very communicative the day before and of - to make sure the audio would be perfect regardless of where he had to set up.

When the reception came, Frank was truly the life of the party. He kept it going for hours and the dance floor was PACKED all night until the lights came on. He played the perfect blend of music for us and the lights really made it an amazing atmosphere. We also used the photo booth which was a huge hit with our friends and family, fun props and photo options.

From the planning, to announcing on the day, to the music and atmosphere, I cannot recommend this group enough. Save yourself some time and energy, stop searching right now and go with these folks, they'll help make your event perfect!

Frank made the process incredibly easy and FUN!! Loved the platform he uses to gather our “must plays” and other important information! He is responsive, professional, and most importantly a great DJ! Our dance floor was never empty and he read the room perfectly.

The Perfect Wedding DJ Team!

Prime Time Event Co was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ, and we’d recommend them to any couple planning a wedding in central Virginia! Frank was friendly, very organized and professional, and helped us create the exact vibe we wanted. All of our meetings before the wedding left us feeling confident his team would be on top of everything. On our wedding day, Frank & his second DJ had sound systems set up perfectly around our venue. They transitioned from our emotional ceremony music, lively cocktail hour, special dances, and dance party at the end of the night flawlessly. Frank checked in with us throughout the day to make sure everything was as we wanted it. We also got the most upgraded lighting package and loved the results! Our guests had so much fun with glow sticks, the co2 cannon, and the moving lights made it feel like a true party. We had guests tell us it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to, and we attribute a huge part of that to having Prime Time Event Co as our DJ vendor.

Frank is elite!

From start to finish his communication and responsiveness was phenomenal. Seriously, phenomenal. Frank thought of every detail and is a true professional. From the ceremony microphones, the dinner jazz, microphones for toasts and speeches, to the dancing, it was all perfect! We had a slight timeline change and Frank recommended a first dance adjustment that was even better than our original plan. Truly the kindest and most professional vendor. We cannot recommend Prime Time Event Group enough!

Great Eperience

wonderful!

Frank was wonderful to work with and threw a great party! Communication was always prompt and we had two meetings leading up to the big day, where Frank asked us exactly what we were envisioning and wanted to hear at the wedding. His portal to add the "must play" songs was easy to use and he provided us all the mics needed for the ceremony and speeches in addition to playing great music all night! We also got some cool dance floor lighting from him (he explained all the options and gave his opinion on what he thought would be best) and the dance floor was packed all night long.

Perfection!!!

I am a professional wedding coordinator turned queer bride and I was worried about finding a good DJ for our wedding. Many wedding DJs give me second hand embarrassment and create a cringey homecoming-y vibe. Also, we had a guest count of just 47 so we were worried about finding a DJ who could get the dance floor moving with such a small group. Frank was everything we were looking for and more!!!
Frank absolutely BLEW US AWAY with his professionalism, talent, and personality! In meetings he was attentive, explained everything in detail, and really worked to get to know us as a couple instead of just a cookie cutter one size fits most format.
QUEER COUPLES THIS IS YOUR DJ!!! As a queer couple, we were in search of vendors who would make us feel safe and welcome through the whole process. We absolutely found that in Frank! He was open and understanding of pronouns, identities, and family dynamics. He truly cared and listened to us about each and every aspect! We felt truly celebrated, safe, and welcome!
On the big day everyone was telling us how well they could hear everything during the ceremony (it was outside and windy) and we gave alllllll the credit to Frank’s high quality equipment and skill. My spouse and I kept talking about how good of an announcer he was and how well spoken he was. Zero cringing on my end (which is HUGE for me)! His lighting and set up was professional and elegant. It didn’t take away from the rest of the decor while still lighting up on the dance floor beautifully and made for the perfect dancing atmosphere!
Once it was time for dancing he kept the party going until the last song even with our small guest count! We had a blast and Frank played a MASSIVE role in that! He worked seamlessly with our planner and designer, Mia, with Little Acorns Events who recommended him! Our timeline, experience, and vibe was perfect thanks to their collaboration!!! We couldn’t possibly recommend Frank with PTEG enough! Trust me he will be the highlight of your event!

One of the Best!

As a wedding videographer, I work with a lot of DJs, and I can confidently say that Frank and his team are one of the best I have ever come across. Frank, Derek, and Mike are easy to get along with, fun to be around, and know exactly how to fill a dance floor. Their equipment is top-notch and they do a great job of making it look clean with covers in front, so guests aren't distracted by the appearance of the equipment. They're also great to collaborate with as a fellow vendor, always allowing us to plug in for audio when needed, and providing a clean signal so that the couple's video is as good as it can be. It is surprising just how often we get a signal from a DJ that cuts out, has music playing behind spoken words, or has some sort of echo on the audio! This has never happened with PT. Whether you are a client or a fellow vendor, your experience with PT Event Group will be as good as one can get!

Best DJ Service. Ever.

Frank was phenomenal. He timed my entrance into our ceremony perfectly and everyone said that they loved the music. Planning with Frank was stress free and he was incredibly easy to work with. We share a love for rock and metal music, and I told him I needed to have “Break Stuff” played at our wedding. It was one of my favorite moments of our wedding, and everyone I spoke with after said that it was amazing. Frank’s ability to sense a crowds energy is unmatched. After our wedding, we talked about how we managed to get so lucky with our vendors. I would recommend PTE to everyone!

Above and beyond

We had the most amazing night and if we ever have another event that needs a DJ, we would not hesitate a second to hire Frank. Frank made the night extremely special. He nailed the theme for us with the setlist, he MC'd all the intros exactly how we wanted, and he was extremely efficient in having the mics for speeches and the ceremony set up. We did not have to do any thinking because he handled it all for us. The lighting he set up was perfect. Our guests did not want to leave the dance floor at the end of the night. Would highly recommend the package with the CO2 cannon, lighting, photobooth, and light sticks! The photobooth provided entertainment all night. If you are getting married in the Charlottesville area, Prime Time Event Group will make it a memorable night!

Wedding DJ

Frank was incredible to work with! We had multiple planning sessions to talk out exactly what we were hoping for and to go over any wedding day logistics. On the day of, Frank worked his magic! We got multiple compliments that the sound and mics for the wedding were perfect and Frank’s energy was on point. He found us on the day to reassure us that everything was good to go and the music was pumping all night. At the end of the night, as we danced to our private final dance, Frank gave us our moment to be in the present and enjoy the final minutes of the day. Logistics can sometimes make or break a moment and with Frank, the whole day ran smoothly!

You can't go wrong if you go with Frank!

If I could give Prime Time Event Group 6 stars, I would (and it still wouldn't be enough). Frank and his team kept our wedding reception on the dance floor all night, through not only a playlist of bangers but also an acute sense of what song to shift into if the previous one seemed a little lackluster with the crowd (which only happened once anyway). Working with him was so easy and he's so personable; he truly made us feel more excited about the wedding every time we talked. We will be recommending him to everybody we know getting married in the area! They're amazing!

Prime Time Event Group is the BEST!

My husband and I booked Prime Time Event Group for our July wedding at Keswick Vineyards - Frank and his team went ABOVE and beyond to make our wedding a special, fun, and unforgettable experience for us and all of our guests! It was really important to me to book vendors who really felt more like friends to make our day feel more special, and Frank and his team were exactly that. At one point during our reception, I felt like I couldn't breathe in my dress (lol) and Frank's team was immediately ON IT - seamlessly reorganizing our schedule so that I could change into a reception dress sooner, but not lose out on any of the fun and special moments/dances we had planned! Frank's team doesn't just care about making your wedding a great party, but they care about YOU and making sure that the bride and groom have the best day ever!

Frank also suggested some awesome ideas at our planning meeting that we took him up on, and our guests are still reflecting on those moments and how cool they were! We really appreciated him thinking outside of the box and using his expertise to add unique moments to our reception.

We also booked a photo booth through Prime Time Event Group and if you're considering it just DO IT!!! Our guests loved it and it was SO fun to see all of the photos posted to Instagram that night and in the days following. People love activities at weddings and Prime Time makes it so easy to take awesome, fabulous photo booth pics for your guests to enjoy for years to come!!!

We cannot recommend Frank & his team enough!

Frank took our wedding to the next level. The energy on the dance floor was unmatched and hands down my favorite part of the night. We had a lot of surprises for our guests throughout the day, and Frank helped us execute them all seamlessly. Pro tip: If Frank recommends the light package, get the light package. Frank and his team made our day so fun!

Frank and Prime Time Event Group are absolutely incredible and really made our wedding day special. In the as lead up to our wedding, Frank was great about making sure we had everything we wanted and gave us a full picture of what to expect. He even mixed 2 songs for our first dance since we really wanted both. We had a few curveballs to deal with as it not only poured rain on our outdoor wedding, but we also had 3 different locations we needed music. On top of that, we had a last minute change with live performances. To say he took it all in stride would be the understatement of the century. Frank was joyful, communicative, and kind about every single aspect leading up to and during the chaos that can be expected during a rainy wedding. He also really nailed the music and made sure we had exactly what we hoped for, and we had an incredible time dancing with our guests. We cannot recommend Frank and PT Event group enough for your wedding or event.

April Wedding

Frank and his team were incredible! Frank met with us one on one a few months prior to our wedding, and we highly recommend following his timeline of meetings as he knows best for when to meet. It kept us sane relying on his expansive knowledge and experience. It is challenging for me, the bride, to trust others as I am very type A, but Frank knew exactly what to do and ask to prep for the wedding.

Frank was very flexible in accommodating our vision and his company is one of the best out there in the Charlottesville area where you truly get a great value for what you pay for. We bought The Bash package with the photobooth add on. It was well worth it, but we also liked that there were cheaper options as we were on a budget. Because of the package we got, Prime Time Event Group took care of the sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They coordinated seamlessly with our wedding planner and rarely needed our input the day of. They took care of the mics for the officiant and groom, clean-up of the ceremony site, and moving to cocktail hour/reception.

They also played music from tons of eras and genres as we had folks in their 90s to folks in their 20s attending and we wanted to cater to all. Frank was also a great MC. Professional but funny and made sure to work with our planner to keep the night moving.

There is some pre-work for couples to do in the online system that Prime Time uses. Prime Time will NOT know what you want if you do not fill this out, so definitely work with Prime Time and Frank to get this done if you want a seamless wedding. It's an easy system and asks things you may not have thought about it. You can also link a Spotify playlist or share it directly to Frank which was very helpful as we started making a play list a year before the wedding.

The photobooth had a person attendant at all times which helped A LOT for our guests. Although the photobooth did not provide physical prints, we had a great turn out and no prints were left lying around at the end of the night.

Up-lights were included in our package, and even though we did not pick the package for them, they did add a great touch to the decor. You can pick literally any color.

When we first met with Frank we vibed immediately and are so grateful to him and his team for helping make our wedding perfect. We got great feedback from guests on the music choices and Frank's humor and MCing skills. Thank you Prime Time for being a part of our special day!

Book them, you won't regret it!!

If you're considering Prime Time Event Group for your wedding, book them. Frank (the owner) is extremely easy to talk to, very detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator. All the staff present on the day of were so kind and fun to have around, and our guests had a great time!! They really truly made my husband and I feel so special. We also booked their photo booth, and that was such a fun addition to our reception. Any questions we had about lighting were answered, and pictures were even provided so we could see what we were deciding on would look like, which was a HUGE help. I'd recommend Prime Time to anyone and everyone, we truly couldn't have been happier with our decision.

Book frank now!

BOOK FRANK NOW!! Frank completely blew us away with his professionalism and experience. Frank's music was part of our special day for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after-party. We also added his photobooth for the evening.

We met with him several times before the big day so he could get the vibe of what we wanted throughout the evening and it was so fun chatting with him, like we were old friends. We were able to specifically pick songs for certain moments and Frank made suggestions that we knew we could trust. He uses a portal that makes it easy for your 'must play' and 'do not play' songs. My husband and I had a lot of 'must play' songs (some were a little strange) and Frank effortlessly curated a playlist for us that made sure the dance floor was full all night. Frank also accommodated us when we asked him the day before for some special requests and he, without hesitation, said it all could be done.

We had attendees from ages 8 to 80 and they are all still talking about how great our DJ/dance floor was and how easy the photobooth was to use. My Aunt and Uncle both told me they were planning to leave early after dinner but they ended up staying the entire night because of Frank's playlist and entertainment.

Frank made sure that this was the best night of our lives and it truly was. We cannot thank him and his team enough and we are so grateful that he was a part of our special day!

Book Prime Time Now!!!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Frank and Prime Time Event Group! He knocked it out of the park. We asked for an elegant ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner that turned into a rager for the reception and he delivered! He kept people dancing ALL night and was able to match the guests' energy perfectly. We requested unique music that you don't hear at every wedding and he was able to achieve that while still keeping the guests really happy. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. You can trust Frank completely with you wedding. Not only did he do an amazing job, but it seemed like he was having fun too! He is so professional and a genuinely nice guy. HIRE HIM! Great Experience with DJ Frank!

DJ Frank did an incredible job at our wedding, from the ceremony to the last dance. He was extremely flexible when the ceremony site was changed at the last minute due to weather. Dj frank in the house!

We loved having DJ Frank as a part of our wedding day! As a fellow wedding industry professional planning her own wedding, having a DJ that was on top of it was KEY and DJ Frank did not disappoint! From the booking process all the way to our first dance, Frank's communication was spectacular, and he was so accommodating of all our special song requests!! Fun, easy, blast!!

From the beginning to the end, Frank was amazing to work with! We had one tricky request with timing of ceremony entrance song and he did a great job! We added on the photo booth which was a huge hit at our wedding, highly recommend!

Wonderful experiene!

Frank Smith and the Prime Time Event Group were incredible. Leading up to the event the planning platform used was very easy to interface with and Frank was very flexible with adjustments to our contract and meeting with us. The day of went perfectly without a single issue. The ceremony audio and mics that were provided worked great, the reception music was perfect and we experienced no issues at all. We are glad we went with Frank Smith and would absolutely recommend him!

I am so glad we booked Prime Time Event Group. We met with Frank a few times prior to the wedding, and he took care of everything. My husband and I were so relieved because we didn't have to worry about a thing, from ceremony music and mics, to keeping the party going during the reception. If we could go back and do it again, we would definitely book Prime Time!

Professional and fun DJ team!

Frank and team were highly professional, responsive, and also very fun to work with! They were flexible with all of our requests and even worked directly with some of our friends who were performing live music to make sure the ceremony went smoothly. Perfect DJ

Frank was so easy and kind to work with, and he was great at helping our guests get into the spirit of celebration! He was flexible the day of when we had minor changes, but was very detail oriented prior to the wedding, which allowed us to ensure that everything ran smoothly the day of. We had a Jewish wedding, and it was really important to us that we had someone who could help run those parts of the ceremony and the reception smoothly. Frank was super receptive to this and everyone had a great time! I would highly recommend his services :)

Comprehensive pre-wedding planning/Great wedding experience

Frank provided excellent pre-wedding planning assistance through meetings and the use of a comprehensive planning website. We met with Frank twice virtually before our wedding as we were planning our wedding from out of state and made us feel assured that everything would run smoothly on the big day. We were able to add which songs we wanted played during the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception as well as specific events i.e. First Dance on a fillable form and had the option to browse commonly chosen songs for these events.

On the day of the wedding, Frank provided pre-ceremony music and assured the officiant and groom had understated lapel mics so that all guests were able to hear the full ceremony and vows even during a windy outdoor ceremony. Reception music matched the energy throughout the night and kept guests on the dance floor until the end of the night. Frank did a great job MC'ing the night and ensuring songs were played at the appropriate times and announcing the different events during the night.

Amazing! Best ever

I can't even begin to express just how amazing Frank and his team are. He was always super quick to respond to any questions I had and the most friendly, down to earth guy. I made a request for certain songs cut to play at specific lyrics and he absolutely crushed it. When I left the instrumentals up to him because my brain was on overload, he did not disappoint. I needed the DJ at 3 different locations throughout my wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception) and the transition from one place to the next was absolutely seamless with no lag in music at all; this man definitely knows what he's doing! When it came to the dance floor, you couldn't get my guests off it if you wanted to. Bottom line, if your wedding doesn't have a DJ team that gets down with the bride, you got the wrong DJ!

Flexible to work with and parties hard!

Frank and Ali were absolutely wonderful. They kept the dance floor going all night. Frank helped us in picking songs to keep the party going and knew exactly when to fade out songs during the parent dances. Frank was also flexible and understanding leading up to the day as we changed our songs and made last minute adjustments. He even gave the best man a pump up speech! We wish we had another excuse to throw a party with him!!

Perfect fit

Frank and the rest of his staff were incredibly helpful in the months leading up to our wedding. He was constantly available when it came to answering questions. Also, Prime Time's website's "plan your event" function made everything extremely easy. During our wedding, Frank knocked it out of the park with reception intros, dinner speeches, and end of the night songs. Would recommend PT Event Group wholeheartedly.

Our wedding day 5/21/22

Frank and his team did an outstanding job for our wedding on 5/21/22. From the initial conversation with him up until the very last day, they have been so great to work with even with my last minute questions and unexpected changes 2 days before the wedding. We got married at Scottland Farms which does not have any Wi-Fi or cell service and I was a little worried about that but they were able to calm my fears and showed us how to make our playlist and plan out everything for the ceremony and the reception. Everything went smoothly and we all had a great time dancing the night away at our reception. The one of the many highlights of the night was the photo booth. We never expected to have so many people enjoy it as much as they did. There were over 300 pictures that we received of everyone using the props and just having a great time. The photo booth is a must for any event. I definitely give Prime Time Event Group a 10/10 and will recommend them to everyone for their special event. I could not thank Frank and his team enough for helping make our day memorable and so much fun!!

Great time!

Frank and the Prime Time Event Group did an amazing job keeping the dance floor full all night! Frank was helpful from the start understanding our vision for the night then making sure it all happened smoothly. They also helped by providing microphones and sound system for the ceremony. Amazing DJ!

Frank and his team were awesome from Day 1! We had a one hour phone consultation before booking and he answered all my novice questions about reception details. I didn’t realize how much a DJ does … not only dancing, but ceremony and cocktail hour music, bridal party announcements at reception, cake cutting, coordinating with the venue team, etc.!! He is experienced, flexible, and can tailor music to whatever you imagine. Truly a friendly and professional businessman who clearly loves his work. Frank helped our wedding day run seamlessly. Frank,

I wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank you for your outstanding performance throughout our wedding on Sunday night; and even your actions leading up to the event. Mary and I both found your coordination calls extremely helpful; as we talked through the event with you, it put us at ease to know we were all on the same page.

The night of the wedding, you arrived and immediately began to get squared away and coordinate with other vendors on scene, which really stood out in my mind as someone who knows what needs to happen, and begins working towards that end. Throughout the night you did an outstanding job in keeping things on track and directing the evening from one phase to another. Mary and I very much appreciated that. We were also quite impressed with your ability to adapt on the fly and play songs that "fit". Knowing that you could operate on your own and keep things rolling allowed us to enjoy the night that much more.

I know that a thank you email like this is not necessarily required, but when I experience someone who exhibits great professionalism and interpersonal skills while on the job, I think its valuable let you know how much we appreciated your work. If I hear of anyone in need of a DJ in the area I will certainly point them in your direction.

Thrilled With DJ Frank!

I was really nervous about our DJ selection because I have seen at friends' weddings what a difference a good/not so good DJ experience can make, and Frank exceeded all our expectations and made my worries disappear! An Amazing Night of Music

Frank was hired the moment I hung up the phone during our initial conversation.

The online portal to request songs was easy to use and if I was not able to find a specific song, I was able to send in a Spotify Playlist. With my busy schedule, it was amazing getting reminders when playlists were due, especially creeping towards the final due date. He was extremely flexible when we couldn't nail down a few songs and let us take our time.

My wedding day was a blur, but the ceremony went off without a hitch and the cocktail hour and dinner music was perfect to set the mood. As a COVID measure, he added a QR code for guests to scan to request their favorite songs and it was perfect. I had guests dancing all night with smiles on their faces. We have gotten many compliments from our guests because of Frank and I can't recommend him and his team enough.

I am so thankful he was available for our new date when we had to postpone our wedding a week prior, I do not think I would have been happier with any other DJ.

Very responsive and a great time on our day!

We had Frank from Prime Time on our wedding day at Keswick Vineyards and he really came through for us. We had to reschedule from April to September for the pandemic and he was with us every step of the way. He was immediately available and flexible to try to work with us on our new date. We are also VERY into music, and had some singular/hard to find choices and he really came through for us. His suggestions were all fantastic and his professionalism was exactly what we needed. Also, he has a text option for requests that our guests just loved. We would highly recommend prime time and frank for any couple who wants to hire a DJ that will care just as much about making their day amazing as the couple.

They Saved Our Day!

Prime Time Event Group did an awesome job lamay our wedding and truly made all the difference. We didn’t have a ton of people stay but I think that was just due to the weather being chilly and COVID. We had a lot of grandparents and 3 pregnant couples. Our first DJ cancelled on us 2 1/2 months prior to our wedding and Prime Time Event Group truly saves the day! I thought everything was perfect and we are so thankful for them stepping in on such short notice and working with us. I can’t say enough good things about these guys! Frank is a great DJ!

Frank Smith was extremely easy to work with leading up to the wedding. He’s really organized and helpful throughout the planning process. He has an online planning forum that allows you to pick out the songs you want on your playlist. You can choose must plays, maybes and don’t plays. It’s also laid out well to choose the songs for each of the ceremony and reception moments. We also did the photobooth through them and had no complaints there! Fun props and great print outs! They don’t skimp out on the number of copies for the prints either. Definitely recommend Frank Smith with Prime Time Sound & DJ Services.

Amazing DJ!!

Frank and Jon did a wonderful job DJing out wedding. They were so professional and helped make the day stress free. We had wedding guests and even other wedding vendors tell us how great they were. Everyone loved the music selection. We also had the photobooth. I was a big hit with all the guests. Primetime provided tons of props and let us customize the photostrips. We love looking at them and seeing how much fun our guests had.

Packed dance floor!

We had a fantastic experience with Primetime Sound! Frank was responsive, helpful, and overall just awesome to work with. We enjoyed chatting with him about our preferences and found that he played exactly what he said he would play on our wedding day. Our first dance had a surprise component, and Frank helped us work through any uncertainty and anxiety about the timing by creating a cut version of the music exactly how we envisioned it. I don't know if we even discussed this, but Frank also had lights going that completely changed the mood for our surprise and lit the dance floor perfectly. My friends and family have all commented that our wedding had the most packed dance floor (all night!) of any wedding they had been to, and that's thanks to Frank reading our room so well and playing songs that kept everyone dancing all night. We even had some unconventional requests (we've got to be the only people who would request Creed and Reba McEntire back to back), but Frank kindly humored our crazy requests and our guests LOVED it. Having a fun and packed dance floor with guests dancing all night was one of the most important facets of the wedding to us, and we were so grateful to have chosen Primetime Sound as our DJ. 10/10, add to cart, best DJ for your wedding day!

During planning, Frank had us fill out an online portal that was super easy to use, made it really clear what information he needed, and let us build playlists for him to draw from. He also helped us trim down the songs for our parent dances. On the wedding day, Frank had a professional sound system for our outdoor ceremony and set up my husband and the officiant with mics that were unobtrusive but made sure everyone could hear us. We hired a classical guitarist for the ceremony and cocktail hour and Frank did a great job of working with him as well. He did a great job making announcements to direct traffic and amplifying the speeches during dinner (including finding and setting up a mic stand quickly upon my dad’s last-minute request). Once the dance floor opened, he did a great job of reading the room and making sure everyone was having a good time, and responded wonderfully to our in-the-moment song requests. We would happily recommend Frank and Primetime Sound.

Could not have asked for a better DJ!

Frank and team went above and beyond to make sure that our big day was seamless and flowed exactly as we wished. From our initial conversation through to the end of our wedding reception Frank was always there for us and made sure to confirm important information with us. He was the perfect "master of ceremonies" for our wedding receptions without sounding over the top and the night could now have flowed better with his expert direction. Our dance floor was full the entire evening and he seemed to really be able to read the crowd. So thankful we found Primetime DJ and Sound!

We loved Frank!

We used Frank and his team for DJ services and a photobooth for our wedding in Orange, VA. Frank is thoughtful, responsive, and invested. In the planning process, Frank spent the time necessary to hear from us what we were looking for in our wedding music. We put a few song suggestions on his online portal (very easy to use by the way!), but Frank took those small suggestions and played the exact music we were looking for at the wedding. The dance floor was never empty! I also think that Frank is extremely reasonably priced, wonderful value for the great service and results you'll get.

We'd highly recommend using Frank and his team.

I highly recommend Frank Smith of Prime Time Sound & DJ Services for your wedding. We had a great experience and everything seemed to go smoothly. My wife and I are very particular about music and had some disagreements over the playlist. Frank helped us manage this really well and was willing to get on the phone with us multiple times during the planning process. He is very professional and takes his craft seriously. I also thought his services were a great value. There were two people working our wedding and they did the entire thing - ceremony music, reception and photo booth - all for a very reasonable price. Overall, my wife and I are so happy we got to work with Frank!

Frank and the Prime Time team were phenomenal! Frank led the DJ team at both of my sisters' weddings, and so when I reached out to him to work at ours he was more than happy to finish off the "trifecta!" Frank and Prime Time Sound & DJ caught the perfect balance of leading the flow of events in the reception while not "taking over" the environment in any distracting way. They were VERY flexible as our schedule the day of changed, and were extremely good at picking just the right music to keep everyone on their feet having a great time! I really appreciated how detail-oriented they were, and how they knew the tricks of the trade well enough to suggest options to myself and my (then) fiancé of what could work well at our reception. Frank got to know me and my family personally, and so we felt so comfortable having him lead the reception from beginning to end. Thank you, Frank and Prime Time, for your great work!

Prime Time is THE BEST DJ team around! Especially for weddings. They did our wedding in May 2018 and did more than a phenomenal job! They had great communication beforehand about what exactly we wanted, even to the smallest detail! When it came wedding time, they really performed! Everything was on point, from the cues and songs during our ceremony, to the best song flow on the dance floor. They played all of our requests in great order, feeding off the party energy! They were very personal and fun when it came to the bouquet/garder toss and shoe questions game! They really fit into the party, and it wouldn’t have been as memorable without them. If you don’t consider them, you are really missing out! I’ll forever refer to Prime Time!

We hired Frank Smith to DJ our wedding at the Omni Homestead this fall. We were SO pleased with the music selection, and the order of the songs he played. People were on the dance floor, right after dinner all the way through the end of the night. My husband and I had planned to leave before 11 pm, but because we were having such a great time dancing we closed the wedding out on the dance floor! He is an excellent choice for your wedding! We met in person before the wedding to go over our final details, and communication was very prompt throughout the booking process. Entertainment at your wedding is a key component to ensuring that your guests have a great time, Frank and his team know how to read the room to get people dancing and play the right songs. I highly recommend using Prime Time Sound and DJ! Frank even followed up with us to make sure he had specific songs that my husband wanted to play ahead of time. Let me just say these guys kept the party going! I was impressed they were able to handle our craziness the entire night. The planning process was super easy and dealing with Frank was a breeze. These guys are AMAZING! Frank and Derek kept the guests on the floor at all times. The dance floor was filled with happy faces of all ages! My wedding day was absolutely fun and unforgettable because of the great music and the lights they provided me with. They are absolutely the BEST DJs!! They were able to mix very nicely Latino music with American music. My guests still talking about how great my wedding was. I recommend them for any occasion. I've seen them DJ school parties, Christmas parties, and very fancy wedding and they have always had the same response, EVERYONE have a great time. Best of the best! And... They are very affordable, worth every penny!!

Frank was so easy to work with, he let me have complete control over the music played at my wedding and had an awesome sense of how to allow the evening to flow seamlessly. I loved every song he played. The sound quality was great, he was kind and easy to work with, and even helped piece together music so we could do a Grand March (German tradition). We even asked him to DJ my sister's wedding this fall, but he was already booked!

I've had two experiences with Prime Time, and both of them have been fantastic! They are very organized and experienced, and it's apparent they know what they're doing. They come prepared and do a great job of reading the crowd, setting the mood for different atmospheres, and providing a variety of music. The number one compliment I received from my wedding was "your music was amazing!" and "who did your music?!" Frank is fabulous! He's very personable and gets to know the bride and groom and their musical taste. He also gets a feel for the wedding guests to know what songs get them out on the dance floor. Frank sends a very detailed, organized musical itinerary several weeks before your event and will gladly give song recommendations if you struggle with choosing the perfect songs like I did. He is very responsive, professional, and an excellent entertainer. I highly recommend his business!

Frank smith and the team with prime time sound and DJ services did a fantastic job at our wedding. Prior to the wedding they guided us through the music selection process though an online planning form and an over the phone consultation. They did a great job feeling out the crowd during the reception when choosing which songs to play, they also incorporated the songs/dances we wanted included at the right times. They are very friendly and professional, I would recommend their DJ services to any of my friends and family!

Primetime Sound and DJ Services provided the MC/DJ for my wedding in March. I can't say enough how much fun our guests had! Even though we had a dry wedding, everyone was out on the dance floor having a crazy good time. Frank was very professional to work with and was thorough in getting to know our preferences for the day. He knew how to get everyone energized while keeping it family friendly. We received quite a lot of compliments on Frank from guests! There are 2 small reasons the rating is a 4.5 star instead of 5 star. First, we would have liked to hear more big band/classical music during dinner. Second, and I am partly to blame on this, looking back I would have liked to discuss with Frank how we wanted to greet guests (receiving line/walk around tables, etc). We planned on walking around to the tables and chatting with people, but didn't make that known, so from the second we sat down to dinner, we had people swarming us left and right. It would have been helpful for the DJ to announce our plan of action, but I didn't even think about it until it was too late. All in all, Frank was a pleasure to work with and helped us celebrate our wedding with a bang! He was very personable, professional, and really delivered on what we asked musically. We had a great time!

Prepared and Experienced!

Frank met with us early to make sure we knew all the features he offered. That long lead time was essential as we gradually built our wedding playlist and added on some lighting features as the wedding approached. On the wedding day, he knew just the right distribution of songs from our playlist to maintain the mood--mostly danceable tunes with an occasional slow song to break up the flow.

From the bride: The music was tailored to guests' moods. He did everything we wanted and he was very personable.
From father of the bride: DJ did a fine job of matching music to the mood of the celebration. Kudos!
From the mother of the bride: Everyone had so much fun. From the minute the dance music started until the time it ended, there was a huge group dancing. Frank did a great job keeping the party lively!
