Marissa is a hair and makeup genius!! From the initial communications to the last few touch ups before heading to the church on the day of the wedding, she was an absolutely wonderful person to work with.
I had no idea what to expect when it came to doing hair and makeup the day of the wedding and I reached out to several different hair and makeup professionals in the planning process. Marissa was the ONLY person who responded in such a personable way that made me feel like she truly wanted to be a part of the big day and turn me into a beautiful bride. Her communication from then on was always quick and helpful and she knew exactly how I wanted to look when I went in for my trial!
On the day of the wedding she worked (by herself!) with all of my bridesmaids and both mothers and we got everything finished for our 3:30 wedding even with starting hair and makeup after 8 am! We all felt like she was a part of the wedding party because she was so fun and friendly! Once everyone was finished she made sure to do any last minute touch ups before leaving. I truly felt like a princess when all was finished.
I highly highly recommend Marissa for any hair or makeup needs!!! -

Marissa did my hair for my Sept 2023 wedding and she was the best. She's responsive, so nice, and is seriously good at what she does.
Her communication is clear, I never felt in the dark or confused about what to expect. She was great the morning of the wedding and worked efficiently while still delivering top-notch looks for me and my bridal party. -

Marissa is INCREDIBLE! I was counting my lucky stars that she was available for my wedding date. Any future bride would be so lucky to have her as their stylist on their wedding day. She absolutely exceeded my expectations. My hair looked so beautiful and didn't budge at all! I screen shotted a low bun that she styled for another bride because it was exactly what I wanted and she delivered an exact replica! She also provided styling for my future mother in law, future SIL's, and solo bridesmaid. Everyone looked amazing thanks to her!
She is a wonderful person - so charismatic and kind. I felt like I was in great hands from the moment we first connected. I appreciate someone like Marissa because she is SO organized and I need that in my life because I'm Type-A. The whole process was seamless and stress free! Look no further for a bridal hair stylist! Marissa was so great throughout the entire process. From booking to postponing to the wedding day she made the everything run smoothly. She is very professional and was always prompt in her responses and on time for appointments and at the same time so nice, fun, and easy to talk to. She even did my hair for my engagement pictures which I loved! She made me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day and all of the girls hair still looked great at the end of the night. She is constantly working on bettering and growing her business and has the best tips for brides/bridesmaids on her Instagram. Cannot thank her or recommend her enough! -

When I tell you people won't stop talking about my hair...it's been 3 weeks! My bridal hair looked so unbelievably good it's hard to put into words. After my trial, I let Marissa know I wanted to change things up and go for a more Cardi B/Pam Anderson updo vibe. BOY DID SHE DELIVER. Not only did she cut my hair (yes she did some snips day of) and produce an amazing end product, but she did it in 45 MINS! LIKE HOW?!
Marissa down to earth, reasonably priced, and so passionate about what she does. Cannot thank her enough for making my hair the talk of the wedding (and still goin'). 👏 -

I absolutely loved working with Marissa from the start to the day of my wedding! She was always quick to respond, lovely to work with, and always incredibly helpful! During my trial, I was blown away by Marissa’s work and the outcome of my hair and makeup! To my surprise, my hair and makeup was even more beautiful the day of my wedding. I was so worried about my tiara falling out or moving during our dance, but Marissa ensured me that wouldn’t be an issue. She allowed and encouraged me to wiggle my head around as much as I could to make sure I was comfortable with the way it felt. She showed my bridal party how to bustle and remove my veil after the ceremony and she was all in all just amazing to work with! I cannot recommend her and her team enough!! -

I HIGHLY recommend booking Marissa for your wedding day. She truly worked MAGIC with my hair, and it lasted from 9am until 3am, not a piece was out of place. She even worked with me after I changed my mind on how I wanted my hair after the trial. I showed her the (Kim K) inspo photo and she just completely ran with the image and made it better than I could've imagined. I also can't forget to mention how she has a rock star personality, I felt like she was a good friend before even meeting her. I highly highly highly recommend Marissa!! -

If you want to look like your natural self on your wedding day but more beautiful and confident then choose Marissa Grace Artistry. COVID changed our plans for our April wedding and Marissa was so kind and accommodating. Great communication all along the journey. She even sent a sweet card and cookie in the mail! On the big day, my bridesmaids were all so impressed with her products and techniques and they know a lot about hair and makeup. Marissa and Jeannine made all of us look and feel so beautiful! I literally felt so amazing. Even had a change in hair from the initial trial but Marissa absolutely killed it! I had full confidence in her. The individual false eyelashes were perfect as well! I cannot thank Marissa enough. She is truly a gem and you should not hesitate to book her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! -

COVID 19 turned my original wedding plans to shambles. Marissa was not my original makeup artist, she was my new one after I had changed the date. She was very responsive, professional and flexible with my ever changing situation. She and her team were so much fun to work with the morning of and our hair and makeup looked absolutely flawless throughout the day! She is the perfect person to hire for an easy, fun and professional hair and makeup experience! -

The BEST Wedding Hair & Makeup!
Where do I even begin!? Marissa was the best possible choice I ever could have made for my wedding hair and makeup. Not only is she super talented, but she's so passionate and knowledgeable. She was so much fun to have around while we were all getting ready. I could not have felt more beautiful on my wedding day and the rest of the girls looked amazing. No one felt too over-done and looked like more beautiful versions of themselves. I even decided to slightly change my hair from my previous trial that morning and Marissa completely nailed it! I can't wait for one of my sisters to get married one day so we can use Marissa again! -

Book Marissa TODAY!!
I can't say enough incredible things about my experience working with Marissa. She is so talented, knowledgable, personable, and fun to be around. She made me feel like a goddess on my wedding day, and my whole bridal party felt the same way.
I'm not a big hair and makeup girl, and do the bare minimum most days. When I told Marissa I wanted an effortless, natural look, she listened so well and brought that to life for me. I was so impressed with how educated she is as a beauty artist, doing both hair and makeup so beautifully.
Outside of her talent, she's down to earth and such a fun person to be around. We always had fun emailing each other prior to the wedding, and she and her team made getting ready so much fun day-of.
I've already referred Marissa to two of my friends, and will continue to encourage anyone who will listen to work with her. She's the best! -

Marissa provided hair and make-up at my wedding and she was such a joy to work with. She is the epitome of a professional while still being relatable and fun. It's clear how seriously she takes her work and how committed she is to bringing the best skills to the table. She listened carefully to what I was interested in, adapted seamlessly to day-of scheduling changes, and made my bridesmaids (all of whom had different skin tones) look and feel beautiful. My only disappointment is that I live far away and can't book her for all of my makeup and hair needs! :) -

I was a fairly picky bride and loved loved loved working with Marissa and Staci. They did a great job and exceeded my expectations. Marissa is very responsive and will work with you until you are happy with the results. I wanted to switch up my hairstyle on the day of and she knew exactly what to do. She is quick and knows what she is doing and is very flexible. She finished earlier than expected and was even able to fit in my SIL who decided she wanted her hair done after seeing everyone else's results! If you're on the fence, JUST DO IT. Would recommend her all day and will probably bug her again if I have another event in Philly. -

Marissa was amazing to work with! She made everyone feel extremely comfortable and did an incredible job. I had a large number of people getting hair and makeup done so she made sure to bring someone who matched her caliber. Thank you Staci! Everyone felt beautiful and confident. Marissa is just MAGIC with hair. I showed her the inspiration photo and she just completely ran with the idea and made it ever better. She is so professional, and personable. After doing my trial and seeing her on the wedding day, I felt like I had an old friend with me! If you don't read the entire review just know this - Marissa is by far the best makeup and hair artist in the area especially for Brides! She saved my wedding.
I had a small wedding - 50 guests, family only. I figured I would go to my regular salon and get my hair and makeup done for my wedding. WRONG. I had my trial, makeup was horrible. Hair was ok - nothing to be wowed about. My regular hair artist told me she knew someone to do makeup and it would be fine. Day of my bridal shower, I used her makeup artist. Again, horrible. I was looking for a light, yet good coverage bridal makeup. Not extreme coverage glam. And no one seemed to comprehend that -- except Marissa. I found PrettyOnArrival through my wedding photographer. I emailed her 2 WEEKS before my wedding and asked if she could help me out. Her photos portrayed natural bridal makeup which was everything I was looking for. She fit me in for a trial and I was blown away! Not only does she prep the skin before putting on the makeup but she also creates palettes specifically for you! I loved that. Everything matched my skin tone perfectly. A week or so before my wedding, I felt the need to change my hair style as well since I wasn't wowed with my 1st hair trial from a different hair artist. I emailed Marissa and again she was so accommodating and helpful. I put all of my trust in her to do my hair on my wedding day with no trial and she just amazed me and my entire family. As I said above the makeup was perfection but the hair... HOLY COW. I just can't get over it. I felt like such a beautiful bride. And I was so happy that I switched to Marissa for my hair and makeup. You literally will NOT be disappointed if you chose her for your wedding. She even did my Mom's makeup who is 64 years old and wears NO makeup ever. She loved Marissa's work as well. She felt natural yet beautiful for photos. I cannot say enough good things about Marissa. Thank you thank you thank you!! -

Me, 5 bridesmaids, and my mom (who Marissa did literally, last minute, because my mom wasn't happy with the services she received elsewhere). Everybody was happy!! Besides being skilled, Marissa is also very sweet and has a good sense of humor. It was great to have her around on my special day! She also traveled quite a bit to get to us, showed up on time, and finished on time, which becomes important with all those wedding logistics. Great communicator too, unlike me! Thanks Marissa, you're the best!!

Kerry Sent on 01/05/2018Marissa was fantastic to work with from the first time I reached out to her all the way up through my wedding day! During my trial she really listened to me and was also willing to try a few different looks at that time. On my wedding day she arrived early with two other girls. Marissa handled hair for 8 bridesmaids + hair and makeup for myself on my wedding day. Let me tell you, everyone looked amazing! My only complaint is that she did allow one of the stylists to fall about an hour behind schedule. Marissa helped make up for the time and we only ended up being ~20 minutes behind schedule, but every second counts on that day. Regardless, I would highly recommend Marissa. My hair and makeup lasted all day and she was so fun to have around the morning of the wedding, she fit right in with my friends! I highly recommend Marissa and my only recommendation is to work out a schedule with her in advance and have her review it with stylists if she brings others.

She put everyone at ease and got along perfectly with my bridal party... and she was so efficient and stayed on schedule perfectly! The trial was so helpful and Marissa took detailed notes about any changes to be made. My bridal hair and makeup could not have been more perfect, and it lasted all night long, as did my bridesmaids' and MOB/MOG. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!! -

I usually don't wear a lot of makeup, and she made me feel natural and beautiful. She understood the vibe of my wedding right away. I was really nervous about my makeup running/smudging because of the heat (I had an outdoor wedding in July) but at the end of the night, it still looked flawless. Marissa made the whole process so easy, and was really responsive to all of my questions. Her prices are reasonable and best of all, she is a really nice person! -

My matron of honor found my hair and makeup artist, and I am so thrilled I trusted her to the task. Marissa Brennan is one of the best vendors I had for my wedding-she is keen to respond within a timely manner, her emails and phone call discussions are laid out well and very clear, she is happy to answer any questions, she is incredibly patient, and she knows what she is doing. When you book her, I highly recommend having a trial run done as it gives you a very good idea of how you will work together on your big day. She is very easy to work with, is pleasant to be around, and is always very professional. I loved following her on social media (Instagram mostly) to get ideas for myself as well as see what she is up to (attending classes, conferences, tutorials, etc.). My bridal party consisted of 4 women, so Marissa had no trouble taking care of all of us for hair and makeup in about 5 hours. She made sure everyone got what they asked for and offered advice in the most tasteful manner before moving onto the next girl. She even let my niece take photos and videos while she worked so we could all enjoy the process and results. Since we got ready in my hotel room, all she needed was for a stool to be brought to the room (not a problem for hotel staff), a couple of flat surfaces to place her tools, natural lighting, and she was set to work. We paid her using checks, though Venmo is the preferred method. But, she does accept cash as well, so whatever works for you she will make it work for her. I will absolutely be utilizing Pretty on Arrival in the future for other special occasions. Thank you SO MUCH, Marissa. Everyone loved you and we are so blessed to have you in our lives! -
