We had Ed officiate our wedding and completed two pre-marital counseling sessions with him. We really enjoyed our sessions with him, and it made us feel more comfortable come wedding day. For our ceremony planning, he sent over a sample script and several ideas/samples for unity ceremonies, ring exchanges, and vows, which really helped us decide how we wanted to personalize our ceremony. Ed allowed us to customize our ceremony in a way that was special to us, and really allowed us to create and have exactly what we wanted, including when I asked him to change the structure of our vows mid ceremony! Our family and friends commented how much they loved Ed's presentation and delivery of the ceremony. We would recommend Ed to any couple looking for an easy-going, professional, fun, and committed officiant. We loved having him as part of our day and throughout our wedding planning process! -

Pastor choy was amazing from beginning to end, he made the entire experience painless and very personalized. However we had absolutely no idea what readings/passages to use and he provided many samples, examples from prior weddings. He made it stress free and met with us several times to go over details and a very detailed plan for the day of the wedding. He was a joy to work with and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an easy stress free experience for their wedding day. He was sweet, caring , and has a great sense of humor! cannot recommend pastor choy enough!! amazing!! -

Pastor Ed was amazing to work with. His process for preparing our personalized ceremony was very easy and collaborative. He was open to our ideas and worked with us to create the perfect ceremony that reflected who we are. His positivity and energy were infectious and we, along with our guests, loved having him officiate our wedding. We got so lucky he was there with us for our Big Day!
Pastor Ed was absolutely everything we wanted to have and I’m 100% sure he is everything that any couple would want.
He was such a joy to work with, very very helpful throughout zoom and emails back and force, brought up brilliant ideas for our beach wedding that wouldn’t be that great without it.
Number of guests even after the wedding commented it on how great of a job he did!
You made our day, Pastor Ed!!! Thank you so very much!

Pastor Ed was the best wedding decision we made!!!
Pastor Ed was one of the best wedding decisions that my husband and I made! It was very important for us to find a Pastor that we could build an authentic relationship with that we could trust to make this experience of planning a wedding from out-of-state feel special and like we have had him as a Pastor for years. I was really nervous about hiring someone remotely and that it would feel like a stranger was marrying us on our wedding day. As soon as we met Pastor Ed on our 'Zoom interview' he was personable, energetic, compassionate, and an amazing listener and I knew right away he would be a great fit for our vision for the wedding. I wanted the ceremony to be THE most important part of the wedding and have it be Christian centered. Pastor Ed made me realize that we didn't have to be in a church to bring the church outside to our Virginia wedding venue. We value the time that Pastor Ed took to really dive into our relationship as a couple and we highly recommend doing premarital counseling leading up to the wedding. He made it fun, light-hearted, and educational as we embarked on this new journey. Pastor Ed was friendly at the rehearsal dinner and wedding, and I loved his willingness to meet our families and friends. My husband and I will 1000% keep in touch with Pastor Ed because we loved our experience and will value his mentorship forever. He made our wedding truly remarkable. Let's just say, I cried the whole ceremony his sermon was so beautiful and personal. Thank you for making our June wedding the BEST DAY EVER!!! Finn and Sarah -

Pastor Ed Choy was excellent! We interviewed multiple officiants before we found him. Once we did, we knew we had to have him for our wedding. He was very personable and made it very easy to open up & talk to. He helped us from start to finish and went above and beyond. He even came to our rehearsal and helped walk us through everything along with our coordinator. -

Pastor Ed was incredible during (and before) our wedding! We got married on Halloween 2020 and had some silly requests to make the ceremony lighthearted and fun. He was able to accommodate our requests and make them seem very authentic and natural.
Ed was also very helpful during the rehearsal, keeping the whole wedding party inline and giving helpful tips for those participating who may have been nervous.
He was very supportive in the weeks prior as stress levels began to rise . He gave thoughtful and helpful advice to keep us calm. We couldn't image a better officiant for our big day!
Thank you Pastor Ed for all of your support, wisdom, advice and making our wedding day uniquely ours!

My now hubby and I had met with a few officiants prior to Pastor Ed, but none of them compared to the initial meeting we had with him. Due to the pandemic, our initial meeting was over Zoom, and it was not awkward one bit! Pastor Ed was down to earth and we felt a sense of ease when speaking with him. He was super organized and had great suggestions to help us with the outline of the ceremony. We hired him immediately!
Due to the pandemic, we had to make changes to our ceremony, and Pastor Ed was super flexible. He was able to incorporate our sunflower unity ceremony a day before the wedding, and all the guests including virtual guests loved it (we lived streamed our session on zoom)! He also spoke loud and clear so that our virtual guests could hear him.
We received so many compliments from our parents and guests about Pastor Ed. We never knew how important it was to find a great officiant until we had an amazing ceremony with Pastor Ed :) -

Pastor Ed was such an important part of our wedding day. We signed up for premarital counseling sessions which helped us build a strong connection. We worked closely with him to tailor and personalize the ceremony script and he added his own flair during the delivery. We could not have asked for a better ceremony. And his positive energy during the ceremony and rehearsal really helped calm my nerves! So many guests told us how much they enjoyed the ceremony and my best friend (and maid of honor) ended up using Pastor Ed for her wedding the next year. So we had the pleasure of seeing him in action again! I can't recommend him enough! He really made our wedding special! -

Pastor Ed, you were such a pleasure to work with! You truly made our wedding ceremony something special. My husband and I do not belong to a church, but we wanted to incorporate religious aspects to our ceremony. Pastor Ed met with us in person and talked with us over the phone many times to make sure everything was perfect. Just the thought of planning a wedding ceremony was so overwhelming to me, but Pastor Ed made the process so easy and fun! We were so impressed with how impactful and personal Pastor Ed made the ceremony experience- it felt like we have known him for years! Jessica Sent on 12/13/2017Pastor Ed is like family to my husband and I. Drew and I meant Pastor Ed in early 2015 while planning our wedding. We only met one officiant, but despite my chronic indecisiveness, I knew that Pastor Ed was the officiant for us. Drew and I decided to partake in premarital consulting, an easy choice for us since nothing is more important than investing in our relationship then and beyond the wedding. Since we decided to partake in consulting, we got to know Pastor Ed a lot more. We could tell that from day one, Ed genuinely cared for us as individuals and as a couple. He helped us learn so much about each other and about OURSELVES. We have kept in touch with Pastor Ed overs the years and we enjoy seeing his happy, smiling face whenever we do!

However meeting Pastor Ed for the first time we knew he would be the one to officiate our wedding! He was so easy going, compassionate and sincere. He really gets to know you as a couple so that he can share your love story. His smile and energy is truly addicting. And our friends and family really liked him! We highly recommend Ed if you want someone patient and kind hearted to officiate on your wedding day!

He had a lot of templates depending on how religious you want your ceremony to be--ranging from not religious at all to very religious. We chose somewhere in between. Ed's a great speaker too, so our guests really enjoyed the ceremony! -

Meghan Sent on 08/30/2015Ed was an amazing addition to our wedding! We cannot begin to describe how thankful we are to have found him. We were nervous about finding an officiant that balanced the ritual and ceremony of a wedding with fun. After our first meeting with Ed, we knew he was exactly the person we wanted to marry us! Besides his overall fun and easy to talk to demeanor, he seemed genuinely happy to be marrying us. That’s a very important distinction and was largely the reason we cancelled all of our future appointments and booked him on the spot. To help show you how great Ed was/is, here is a little story: A week or so before the wedding I may or may not have been freaking out a little bit... But as soon as we spoke with Ed to finalize details of the rehearsal and ceremony he helped put everything into perspective and we felt so much better! Having a go-to person who’s done this before is a necessity for a new bride, as I’m the first of my friends to get married and really had no idea what to expect. He is very experienced and has great advice. He made sure that we were able to enjoy our wedding, take a breath and pause to enjoy each moment. Our ceremony was beautiful. Ed made us laugh, especially when I couldn’t help but cry. It was the best day, and it began without a hitch largely due to Ed! Oh and it’s important to mention that he literally saved our honeymoon! Sitting in the Charlotte airport, we realized that a copy of our marriage certificate was required as proof for the honeymoon package at our resort. After a quick text to Ed, he sent us a picture right away and problem solved! We are so grateful that Ed was a part of our wedding! -

Pastor Ed Choy was our officiant for our wedding and we couldn't be happier. For our entire planning process for all our vendors our first measure was their personality and character. Especially for photography and officiant who we would be dealing with in person A LOT. Pastor Ed met us at a panera bread for what we thought was going to be a 30 minute meeting and interview because we had already had a long day of a golf tournament and our twin nephews birthday party so we wanted to get home to bed. Our meeting ended up being 2/3 hours and I don't think we talked about the wedding for half of it. Pastor Ed is easy to talk to, he's understanding and he REALLY wants to get to know your story. My wife and I have a LONG story as high school sweet hearts who have gone through many ups and downs over the last 13 years and now we are married. Ed wanted to feel our story and get to know who he was marrying. That meant the world to us he wasn't just collecting a check.
He was flexible. We had hiccups in our timing and he lead the charge in adjusting and making sure my wife and I never stressed.
I have already recommended Pastor ed to many of my friends and I believe a few have hired him already. -
