Gown looks beautiful!
My gown looks gorgeous after being dry cleaned with Pratt Abbott! I was soo pleased with it. There was some rips in my dress that happened from my bustle and they were able to fix it all and make it look brand new again. Highly recommend! -

Wedding dress preserved
My sister had her gown which was my grandmothers 1932 princess style gown refurbished first then Pratt Abbott preserved it in 1991. It is stunning! This is why ai chose Pratt Abbott to reserve my Gunne Sax dress from 1985. They brought it back to its original white color and preserved in a beautiful box with a window. Thank you. Highly recommend -

We were so impressed with the fantastic service! The gals helping us went above and beyond to accommodate our travel and wedding weekend schedule. My daughter’s dress was picked up, steamed and prepared perfectly, and returned to our hotel in a very timely manner. Pricing was very fair. Wonderful advice was kindly shared with us to maintain the dress in good shape with the additional travel we had to the wedding location. After the wedding, once again arrangements were happily made to pick up the dress for cleaning with consideration of the bride and groom’s honeymoon schedule. Thank you Pratt & Abbott for making one of the many wedding logistics a pleasant and successful one! -

Destination Maine
With a daughter living across the country and returning to Maine for her nuptials there were plenty of details to confirm. As mother of the bride, one of mine was to have her gown pressed and ready for the special day! I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and attention to all my questions and concerns. Pratt Abbott did a fantastic job! The gown looked perfect and was ready exactly when promised. I will now be returning to have the gown cleaned and preserved. I HIGHLY recommend for your wedding gown needs! -

Very much recommend Pratt Abbott. Originally my wedding dress cleaning was expected to be $300+ and take 4 months. Instead of this, my cleaning was about 1/2 of what was expected and I could pick up my dress after only 2 weeks. PLUS, it looked incredible! -

Pleasant experience. They staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I had already gotten married and just needed my dress cleaned for storage. They told me it would be a couple of months because I didn't need it by a certain deadline and it was done in half the time they anticipated. -

The wedding dress of my husbands daughter was soiled beyond belief. A severe thunderstorm swept through the outdoor wedding. Mud everywhere. The dress was spoiled up to the knee. I cannot believe the results! Amazing! -

Good Option for Wedding Dress Steaming
My planner recommended bringing my wedding dress to Pratt Abbott because I wanted to get it professionally steamed closer to my wedding venue. Staff were lovely, cost was good, and it was steamed nicely. I didn't have to do anything myself prior to wearing it for my wedding. -

Super friendly, professional wedding dress cleaners!
We brought three wedding dresses to Pratt Abbott to be cleaned (along with two veils and a few non-wedding items). The staff who helped us were extremely professional and kind (Angela was great!) - the store was quite busy when we arrived and they were extremely apologetic about the wait. They were careful to catalog the state of the dress pre-cleaning and talked with us about our best options for preserving the dresses, particularly the largest which was a huge ballroom gown. Prices were reasonable and our items came back to us quickly and safely. Communication was excellent as well. I am considering bringing just my regular laundry to them because we had such a good experience! -

Excellent and Responsive Customer Service
My daughter was married in Scarborough Maine and since she was driving from NYC where she purchased her dress we assumed it would be well packed and in good condition! Much to our dismay, we were mistaken. I called Pratt Abbott and they were amazing! Chris said of course we can help you and they fix. When we rss as n out of time to drive to South Portland they delivered promptly. I can't recommend them enough!! -

I dropped off my wedding dress to Pratt Abbott a couple days after my wedding and picked up a few days later. The cleaning was done so carefully and the dress looked brand new. They even needed to remove parts of the dress for a better clean and put it back together like new. The service and experience exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend. -

I purchased my wedding dress pre-loved and it was a bit dirty on the train and bust area from the previous brides spray tan. Angela and her team at Pratt Abbott restored the dress beautifully! They were able to remove all the stains and it looked brand new again!
The day of my outdoor wedding it rained all morning. As you can imagine, after walking down the crushed-stone isle, numerous field photos, and dancing in the barn, my train was definitely dirty. I trusted Angela and her team again, this time to clean and preserve my gown. It was boxed up beautifully and preserved with care. I can't recommend Angela and her team enough! Thank you! -

I used Pratt Abbott to preserve my wedding dress. I was in love with my dress and wore it for 12 hours: inside, outside, drinking, dancing. The bottom of it was very dirty and a little ripped. Angela and Becky are a dream team. We were a completely travel in destination wedding so everyone’s clothes needed to be steamed including the bridal party. They were patient and very detailed. Our clothes and my dress were perfect when they left. Highly recommend this dream team.

What a wonderful job!
They were so accommodating - worked on three bridal items for us. One was an antique lace veil which they restored carefully and to perfection. A thirty year old gown was restored beautifully, and they took a recently worn dress and it is now carefully packaged and tucked away. -

Pratt Abbott is amazing, and specifically, their Wedding Team are absolute miracle-workers. They were amazing to work with before my wedding, and somewhere in their list of glowing reviews I wrote a review several years ago singing their praises. They went above and beyond to make my dress stunning after a cross country flight. Today I'm writing because my dress was an absolute mess after my outdoor wedding, and 2 years after getting married, I decided to finally get it cleaned so I can sell the dress. The designer silk dress was covered in soot and water stains. Pratt Abbott cleaned the dress to make it look AS GOOD AS NEW. I was shocked when I picked it up. I am confident I can now sell the dress. This team is absolutely amazing, and they take so much care with wedding dresses. There honestly aren't enough words to say how impressed I am with this team. -

I cannot recommend Pratt Abbott Cleaners enough for having your wedding dress cleaned and preserved. They truly care about your dress and your experience. I dropped off two wedding dresses, both extremely delicate and sentimental, and in need of a serious cleaning after dancing away the best night of my life. Both came out perfect and my ceremony dress was preserved so beautifully in a keepsake box that will prevent any discoloration or aging. Definitely use their service, even better that it is local! Love them for all of my dry cleaning needs as well! -

I recently got married in June and wanted to wear my grandmother's lace wedding dress. The dress was over 70 years old. While it was in good condition, it had yellowed quite a bit. I took it to Pratt Abbott around December and within a month they returned the dress and it was a bright white. Angela Emery's team did an amazing job! They were so helpful throughout the whole process. I couldn't believe how well they had restored it. The dress looked new. They also restored my mother's wedding dress which was not as old but had a stain on it. Again the dress was perfectly white. Angela described the services they offer and the pricing in detail during our initial phone call. The drop off of the dress went as she described, the sales associate went over the dress with me noting any blemishes, etc. My dress was ready in the time frame they had promised and it looks amazing - brand new! I utilized Pratt Abbott to simply clean my dress after my wedding, as I wanted to put it on again on our anniversary. After a couple years, I decided it was finally time to have it preserved. Both experiences were excellent. I so highly recommend Pratt Abbott for wedding services! -

I loved working with Pratt Abbott Cleaners for my wedding gown needs. Angela was wonderful and was easily accessible with any questions regarding the care and transportation of my gown and veil. Pratt Abbott got my garments all ready for my big day and then took away the stress of transportation by delivering it to my venue the day before. It was beautiful. They also cleaned and preserved my gown and veil after the wedding and it looks gorgeous. I also use Pratt Abbott's cleaning services for my work clothes. I highly recommend them for any bride or working woman in Maine! -

Everyone here was wonderful, and so easy to work with! Everything about this process was easy, and the end result was beautiful and affordable. I live in MA and dropped my dress off when going up to Maine to visit for a day and they let me store my dress at one of their facilities for a few weeks until I could go pick it up. They even offered to ship my dress to me in MA (I only declined because I was too nervous about it being delivered when no one was home). The stains came out beautifully and I am able to see into the box via the viewing window. I highly recommend this company and am so glad I chose them to preserve something so important! -

I was looking for a wedding dress preservation vendor to use after my wedding and looked into many options. It ultimately came down to Pratt Abbott or a preservation company that the bridal shop I purchased my gown at recommended (which was a mail-in service). After reaching out to Angela to inquire about their process and cost, I decided to go with Pratt Abbott. Angela was professional, very responsive, and made me feel comfortable working with both her and the Pratt Abbott team. Plus, having the option to drop the dress off in person and to know that it would remain there to be serviced certainly put me at ease! The dress was ready for pick up on the date they had originally indicated and it looked beautiful in its preservation. The only slight hiccup along the way was that the price given when I dropped off the dress was slightly different than what Angela had originally quoted. However, after checking back in with Angela it was cleared up and the original quote was honored. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable wedding dress preservation vendor! -

Pratt Abbott did a great job with my dress. I have office pick-up and delivery so i didn't have to bring it to a store. I got a certificate when it was completed. Now my dress is at home where I can look at it and remember that beautiful day. -

My experience with Pratt Abbott with Angela (and Jane) at my recent wedding in Maine was so amazing. I was flabbergasted at the degree of service they provided. Angela went above and beyond from our initial conversations through to the delivery of my wedding dress and my husband's suit.
I planned the wedding in Maine from our home in South Carolina and Angela walked me through the best options for shipping my dress and when to have it delivered. She actually brought my dress to the ferry to Peak's Island where we were getting married, on a Sunday!
Perhaps more impressive is the way she handled our "first wedding emergency" with my husband's custom suit. A cleaner in South Carolina stained his brand new custom made shirt the day before we left for Maine (we went up on a Thursday and the wedding was on Sunday.) I contacted Angela in a panic and she immediately went into action and had an employee standing by to help us see if the shirt could be salvaged. Jane washed the shirt several times and spent a lot of time on Friday, but managed to get it clean!!!!
Again, above and beyond service! I had no idea this existed for something as seemingly ordinary as cleaning a dress and suit. Thanks Angela and everyone at Pratt Abbott in Maine. You greatly contributed to the best day of our lives! -Stacey and Glenn, South Carolina (9/25/16) -

They were tremendous! Angela Emery is the best!!There were no wedding grown prepartion places in the town of Booth Bay Maine; or any where near by for that matter, except a car wash and drycleaner in one. The thought of that with my precious wedding garments was nerve-racking! Pratt and Abbott came to my rescue. They were extremely personable! Understanding. We mailed our garments from Florida to Maine and they kept of informed every step of the way! In addition, they delivered them directly to the venue! No muss, no fuss and everything was perfect!!!!!! -

I brought a wedding veil from the 1920's to be restored for my wedding. These ladies did a fabulous job! I was more than concerned about leaving this piece of family history with anyone. They made me feel so comfortable. The piece had yellowed and had developed some dry rot. They were able to clean it up and make it look brand new. I was so impressed and would recommend this service to anyone! -

Pratt Abbott did such a wonderful job cleaning my wedding dress! I procrastinated and didn't bring my dress in until about a year and a half after my wedding. It had a number of dirt stains on the bottom and fake tanner stains at the top! I was afraid the stains would be there forever. The top of my dress is also heavily beaded so I wast sure if it would look the same after. I just got the dress back and it looks BRAND NEW! The stains are all gone. It's not too late ladies if you wait to clean your dress! The service was excellent - they were thorough and explained all of the associated costs. I live out of state and wasn't home to pick it up, but it wasn't a problem at all - they held it for me for a few weeks. I would highly recommend Pratt Abbott! -
