Party All Night

My husband and I hired Power Posse Productions to DJ our Wedding. We could not have had a more perfect company and DJ, DJ Doug, to work with! From the coordination of the event, to the music selected everything was perfect, professional, and you could really tell that Doug loves what he is doing. When booking Power Posse Productions their staff was super responsive and gave quick turn arounds with pricing as well as scheduling consultations. The consultation was also an amazing way for Doug to get to know me an my husband's music taste as well as go over how the whole evening would look. I felt that leaving the flow of the night in his hands helped me relax, and really enjoy my special day! He also has curated playlists that are perfect for cocktail hour, dinner service, and many other that really create a great vibe and oprepare everyone for the dancing to come later in the night! I can't thank DJ Doug and Power Posse Productions enough for making our night so special and really one to remember. If you're looking for someone who is a professional, expert in his craft, and all around awesome guy look no further than DJ Doug and Power Posse Productions. They will make your event, no matter the occasion, something truly special.

Awesome wedding DJ

The photo kinda tells the tale of the night. DJ Doug did our wedding and absolutely killed it! We had an eclectic mix of nerds and older family members, and have had family weddings with similar groups where the deejay just couldn't get the crowd dancing. DJ Doug had the floor packed all night, and all generations had a great time. DJ Doug also handled the sound for our wedding (which was at Stone Acres in Stonington, an outdoor venue with the potential for wind and other noise). I could use adjectives, but I'll give his sound work for the ceremony the highest praise I can--multiple family members in their mid-90s with hearing aids could hear the entire ceremony, and DJ Doug's microphones were invisible both to the crowd and to photos. We highly recommend DJ Doug for weddings!

Great AV/DJ Team

Power Posse was an incredible addition to our vendor team for our wedding. We hired them for DJ and event production services and were thrilled with their work. The ceremony and reception planners they provided made outlining the flow of our day and expressing our preferences for the playlists for the evening a breeze. The staff were a pleasure to work with and provided plenty of personal attention throughout the planning process, and on the day of our wedding, their team executed our plans with ease while also adjusting plans without missing a beat when needed! The lighting they provided for the venue was beautiful, and the DJ kept the dance floor packed– our guests even asked for an encore from the DJ at the end of the night! I recommend Power Posse to anyone planning an upcoming wedding or event!

No one left the dance floor!

DJ Doug, was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He had a musical vision that aligned so well with us and our guests. He is so passionate about what he does and made all of the moving parts so seamless. Once our guests hit the dance floor, no one left. The music was so great that we are still getting reviews on how fun the party was. We couldn't be more impressed with Doug and HIGHLY recommend him for any wedding or event.

DJ Doug killed it!

Words really can't describe what an outstanding job Doug did with our wedding. He was in frequent touch with us before our wedding with questions and suggestions to guide us through the process and make sure he was providing exactly what we wanted. He made sure to provide lighting that complemented our venue, had speakers set up literally everywhere (even in the rafters!) to ensure the whole room had great sound, and absolutely killed it during the dancing portion of the night. Everyone could hear the ceremony perfectly and everything from the first dance to the toasts to the parent dances were so well-coordinated and natural because of Doug's efforts. Multiple guests said it was the most fun they've ever had dancing at a wedding and that they could have kept dancing for hours. We totally agree. We cannot recommend Doug and his team highly enough. They're professional, calming, efficient, and just truly a blast to have around.

could have danced for 3 more hours

DJ Doug and power posse production was absolutely amazing for our wedding. It was apparent from the first phone call we had with him that he cares so much about what he does. He discussed every detail with us about the entire day. During the ceremony he has specifically created a low sitting microphone to make sure it is not in the way of pictures and put speakers all around the ceremony grounds (held in a garden) to make sure the sound would be perfect for everyone. He also discussed the different phases of music that he flows through throughout dinner hour and into dancing all with different themes and genres which was so thorough and well thought out. It was so evident that he cares so much about creating an amazing evening/experience for every minute of the ceremony and reception. Our venue had different rooms in which people ate dinner and he set up speakers in every room and performed sound checks to make sure the volume was perfect in all the different rooms. He also provided amazing uplighting in the tent (where dancing was) and two other rooms which looked phenomenal. Our guests literally could not be dragged off the dance floor and we could have danced for many more hours! Dougs wife Mia does the correspondence and she was incredibly easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend them for any DJ needs.

Amazing DJ and lighting

We hired Doug for our DJ and lighting needs for our wedding. He was SO hands on and really listened to what we wanted. the lighting was exactly what I wanted . The music was perfect as was the sound for our speeches. I cannot recommend him enough.

The Best in the Industry!

As an event planner in the industry for almost ten years I can's say enough about my experiences with the entire Power Posse Productions team! I've had the pleasure to work with Power Posse on numerous events as the Events Manager at High Hopes Therapeutic Riding in Old Lyme, CT. For the past 4 years Power Posse has provided the lighting, sound and audio visual for our annual Gala which hosts 600 guests in the indoor riding arena at our facility. As you can imagine pulling of the production needs in this venue is no small feat. Time and time again Power Posse transforms the arena and delivers a flawless event. "No" is not in their vocabulary. They always find a way accommodate this event planners "wish" list! Whether illuminating a enormous moon suspended from beams in the arena for our Moon Dance gala to hanging beautiful swags of bistro lighting, creating an on que clip of "We Are Family" for our MC's arrival on stage, hanging endless yards of curtain, or finding clever ways to use light rather than print, they go over and beyond every time. A few years back when the Belmont was scheduled the same evening as our event, guests were disappointed to miss the race because it happened to be a Triple Crown year. Always wanting ensure our guests have the best experience possible, I asked the Power Posse Team if there was any way to live stream the race. Within minutes the race was streaming for guests to enjoy. This has now become a tradition with the addition of a speciality cocktail the Belmont Jewel! I've also had the pleasure working with them on smaller events including lighting, audio and live streaming for a Kentucky Derby party and an outdoor concert with opera and show tunes. Again, each event has been delivered seamlessly. Recently, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, I contacted Doug in a panic because of our need to pivot the annual gala to a virtual live stream event due to CDC social distancing guidelines. My colleagues and I were in unchartered territory. Doug quickly put me in touch with Gary on his team who has years of experience with live streaming events. Power Posse will be helping us pull off our first ever live stream event this May. I can't tell you the relief to know we have this level of support and professionalism at our side. We plan to work with the entire Team in October for a in person celebration and next year DJ Doug will be providing our entertainmnet. It's a testament to Doug Jastremski's (owner) leadership and warm personality that he has recruited and retained such an incredible group of talented and hardworking individuals. THANK YOU Doug, Michael, Larry, Gary, Jerry and the entire crew for all you do! To all event planners out there, I assure you hiring Power Posse will be the best decision you ever made!

Power Posse is the BEST

Doug and his team are the absolute best and we are so glad we hired them for our wedding this past August. We requested Reggae for our cocktail hour and Portuguese music for our reception, along with dance/party classics. Doug was able to pull this off flawlessly and we received so many compliments from our guests about the music. Doug is so easy to work with and takes any stress away that you may have about music at your wedding. Thank you so much Doug and team!! DJ Doug is the man

DJ Doug was awesome. He was super easy to work with, very reassuring at every turn, particularly when things got more and more chaotic as the date approached. He’s got a great attitude and clearly not only enjoys his job, but gets excited by making weddings memorable for his customers. Last thing: He’s super accommodating. We had some weird requests, including getting him to help me and my brother perform a song, and he not only helped us pull it off, but he was genuinely excited about it.

Music can make or break a party, but that reality is amplified when it comes to a wedding! My wife and I could not be more grateful to have had Doug as the DJ at our wedding. With diverse (and sometimes conflicting) tastes in music, we wanted to be sure that we were working with someone that we could trust to provide us with the music that we love. Doug Jastremski and the staff at Power Posse Productions hit a grand slam. Behind the scenes, Mia was incredibly helpful by sending us packages and information upon request. She was extremely friendly, professional, and caring. Before we had even signed a contract, Mia made us feel like we were a priority -- we will never forget that. Our wedding at Aria had just over 250 guests from all over the United States and Canada. It truly was a "Big Fat Greek-Italian Wedding!" Suffice it to say, I was a bit nervous about who we would choose when it came to our music. The nerves quickly went away during our in-person meeting with Doug. Doug went out of his way to drive to our home (over an hour) just to have some face time with us to go over our wishes and dreams for the wedding music. My father-in-law had hired a Greek band to play at the wedding and Doug had contacted the band leader to get to know him as well. On our wedding day, we were blown away. Doug is extremely professional, empathetic, friendly, and driven. He possesses an impressive arsenal of equipment which helped to make the music perfect at our reception. If I believed in magic, I'd say Doug is a wizard. Doug set up his equipment so that the music was the perfect volume on the dance floor, but also not too loud for our guests who were seated at the tables. As an added touch, when my bride and I were seated at our sweetheart table, we noticed a beautiful light shining on our wedding cake. We had assumed that our incredible venue (Aria) had done that, only to find out that it had actually been Doug! We weren't surprised. The man went above-and-beyond the call of duty

DJ Doug is incredible!! Initially we really wanted a band to play at our wedding but I would hire DJ Doug a million times over again. When we first met Doug for our consultation he just got us immediately.

The cocktail hour music really set the tone for our wedding. He read the crowd and knew exactly what to play to get the day started right. Our ceremony was perfect and his personality and calm manner really helped me stay calm throughout the day as well. I owe him for making our special day absolutely perfect. The reception music he played was executed perfectly as well. He really knows how to get people on the dance floor. Every time I see someone that attended my wedding they always bring up the music and how they couldn't leave the dance floor.

We got married at Saltwater Vineyard in Stonington CT. I was a little worried about the music being too loud due to the fact it was in a smaller, intimate size venue. The older guests complimented me on what a great job he did with the sound. His execution was perfect.

Save your money ladies and hire DJ Doug! You will not be disappointed. He's incredibly talented and I couldn't be more happy with how my wedding day turned out. It would not have been the same without his positive, up-beat and kind self.

DJ Doug of Power Posse is top notch! We booked him as soon as our venue told us that he is who they book for their own holiday party. It can’t get any better than that! Doug also saved the night with his generator when our venue lost power due to heavy rain storms! I will be forever grateful to him for the memory of dancing with my friends and family by candelight with the rain beating down outside and the music still going. We booked through Mia who was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our decision making. We had our first phone call with Doug in the weeks leading up to our wedding and even on the phone, it was evident to us that he is a true expert in his field and his passion for what he does really came through. My husband’s family is from Jamaica so it was important to us to play some reggae hits outside of just Bob Marley. Doug found just the right balance to infuse our night with the right blend of music that included my husband’s heritage along with crowd pleasers. We also worked with Doug for our lighting and since our ceremony took place inside due to the rain – his lighting expertise gave our photos an extra something despite being indoors. I cannot recommend Power Posse highly enough!

Hiring Power Posse (and DJ Doug) was one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. This guy is incredible. The sound quality of our outdoor ceremony was perfect and he nailed every song and music shift throughout the ceremony. He was FANTASTIC during the reception. He is incredibly thoughtful about the type of music he plays throughout the night to get all of your guests on the dance floor and I can't get over the number of people that came up to us *during the reception* to tell us how much they were loving his music. He played songs that I didn't even realize would be my favorite songs to dance to. Seriously, Doug is the best. DJ Doug at Power Posse was great to work with. We live out of state and he was very flexible to do a phone consultation a few weeks before the wedding. When talking with Doug, it is very clear he knows what he is doing. We felt completely confident in his expertise, and we were not disappointed. The bistro lights were just stunning and added an amazing touch. Since we bundled the lights with the DJ services, they were willing to bend a bit on price. Once the dancing got started, we literally didn't sit down. We did not provide Doug with a play/do not play list, but he was able to perfectly read the crowd to keep everyone dancing. I highly recommend Power Posse and specifically DJ Doug!

We used Power Posse Productions for an 8th grade glow in the dark dance party. We needed black lights to light up the gym, and the lighting provided was just perfect. Every area of the gym was lit up. At the very last minute we asked for advice on how to create a color wall as part of the decoration. Doug was more than happy to talk with me and provide us with just the right lighting. The lighting arrived and was set up without any issues. Our experience with this company was nothing but positive. I highly recommend this company for your next event, wedding or party. You will not be disappointed! We weren't!

We used Power Posse for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made!! We had to move up our wedding date 8 months and I was so lucky that Power Posse was still available! Doug was our DJ (the owner of the business) and I cannot say enough good things about him. He took time to meet with my fiancee and I and put us at ease. He had good advice and, from the first time I met him, I had total trust in his talents and abilities. The sound in the venue was incredible and our guests were dancing all night. He was able to "read the party" very well and played a wide variety of songs for our guests. He had come up with mic systems that worked really well at the ceremony and for our live musicians during cocktail hour. He was flexible, professional, and kind. Doug truly seemed to take great pride in his work and in putting on a great party! It wasn't just a paycheck to him - it seemed more like a passion.

Doug also hung bistro lights at our venue which was really important to me and looked beautiful. The work he did clearly took all day and was well worth the money. I would recommend him in a heartbeat and wish I had another event I could hire him for!!!

After a last minute snaffu meant that our original lighting vendor was not able to string bistro lights for our wedding, PowerPosse was willing and able to step in on very last-minute notice to provide this service. We are incredibly grateful to them for their flexibility, quick responses and willingness to put everything together last minute. Mia was especially quick to answer any questions we had. We would not have been able to achieve our wedding vision without them! The lights were absolutely perfect on the wedding day, our guests loved them.

BEST DJ's EVER! We had a wonderful wedding! We couldnt have done it with out Phil and Sean from Power Posse, they are professional and extremely organized! They provided music and tunes for the ceremony, and our reception, they did everything perfectly from the first meeting until the last song played at the end of our wedding night. We had a list of songs we specifically wanted played which they played , they filled in with other songs we were very excited to hear! I am still getting complements from our guests saying how much they loved the music, and lighting, The sound for the ceremony was crisp and clear as well as every song, I have been to wedding where you can't even make out the songs because the sound quality is so bad, these guys know how to do it, worth every penny.
A DJ can make or break your wedding, so pick POWER POSSE, THEY ROCK!!
We can't even thank them enough for the best night!!

Power Posse was recommended by our catering company as well as a few close friends. They couldn’t have made a better recommendation… Doug was great throughout the planning process and put all of our worries at ease. He handled my weekly calls with questions or tweaks with professionalism no matter how many times I wanted to change something or if I was unsure.

Once the wedding day came, Doug met with each of the individuals doing speeches at the reception to introduce himself and talk them through the process so that they felt comfortable. This made those individuals feel at ease and ensured that there were no awkward transitions throughout the night. Doug went above and beyond with the sound, lighting and MC’ing (for lack of a better word) at the reception. Any of you that have been to Harkness know that one of the challenges there is that there are a number of small rooms and without adequate sound, would feel completely disconnected from the rest of the party. Most DJs we looked at had your typical DJ setup and could get a “few” more speakers if necessary. Doug had the entire mansion wired for sound… it was incredible. No matter where you were in the mansion, inside or out, you felt like you were part of the party. Doug also played music that appealed to multiple generations and knew how to adjust the music when he saw some of the older guests leaving the dance floor and vice versa…

Anyone that has spoken to me about wedding planning has gotten an unsolicited advertisement for Power Posse because they really were that good. There’s so much to worry about when planning and attending your own wedding. After I met Doug and we worked through the logistics, I truly did not worry about the DJ anymore.

ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED
Having had three daughter's weddings and our own to plan and pay for, we consider ourselves very experienced. We prefer DJs because they provides the most entertainment value. While attending the UConn Basketball Midnight Madness activities, we were amazed at the light show and the music that were essential part of the event and provided by Power Posse. Later we talked to Doug Jastremski and decided to book Power Posse for the wedding entertainment.
The communication and planning for the music was handled by Mia Jastrmeski and our daughter, the bride to be. The reception went smoothly with great music, Chinese lanterns, and special effects (snow machine). Power Posse had made the reception very memorable occasion for the family. You didn't have to ask the guest if they were having a good time, you could see them. More importantly, we had a great time.

I can't say enough about DJ Doug and Power Posse Productions! They were great to work with from the beginning. Doug and I spent a long time meeting a few weeks before the reception so that he could understand every necessary detail for the reception. He wanted to understand the demographics of the guests, the layout of the venue and even our preferred sports teams (like I said...every detail!). The result of our meeting was a reception that never had an empty dance floor. Our wedding happened to fall on the night of Winter Storm Electra. DJ Doug was not to be deterred. He was there in plenty of time to setup and keep the party going until well past the time we planned to stop (despite the snow, nobody wanted to leave). I highly recommend this very courteous and very professional company. Worth every penny!

It's been 1 year since my wedding and I wish I could do it all over again!!! It was literally the best day of my life and I have to attribute that to everyone who made it go so smoothly. Power Posse was amazing! From the minute that my husband and I sat down with Doug & Jerry I knew we were in good hands. From lighting suggestions... Doug picked the most perfect color to uplight our tent matching our color scheme along with bistro lights! Really Gorgeous! Our cocktail hour ended up being 2 hours instead of 1 and there was no shortage of perfect, chill music. All of our special dances were right on cue and when the Real dancing began no one stopped!!! Out of 160 people 100 were dancing!! Til 2am!! I was so amazed at how many people were dancing and Jerry even played longer because no one wanted to stop!! If you are looking for an amazing, stylish, ahead of the curve gang Power Posse Productions is the way to go!!

Everyone had a blast dancing all night! posted 1/6/2014

Everything went so well with Power Posse Productions doing our wedding. They played beautiful background music during the cocktail hour and really highlighted the mansion's best features with their special lighting. Doug was at the wedding himself and was great introducing the wedding party and setting us up for our first dance. They were able to accommodate a friend of ours with a microphone, speakers, etc. so he could play his guitar and sing a special song to us. We were surprised with fun extras like bubbles and snow at different points in the evenings. Guests' requests were honored within reason (there were some songs the groom and I had vetoed in advance, like the chicken dance!!). Nice dinner music, great sound and spotlighting for the speeches, and when I say everyone had blast dancing all night, I mean it. People were literally dancing on the tables by 10:00 p.m. and I even tore my dress. We had such a blast!! Thank you Power Posse!

We hired Power Posse for our recent wedding. You can not find a better DJ service anywhere. From our very first conversation I knew we had made the right decision. Doug (the owner) responded quickly to my phone call and was able to offer us with so many options in both sound and lighting. The day of the wedding was nothing less than perfect. Power Posse delivered without missing one single detail. They played every song we had requested on our list as well as music that our guests had requested on the spot. You cant go wrong with Power Posse. Doug had even called us a few weeks later to make sure we were happy with all their services. Top notch company! Thank you so much Power Posse!!!!!!!

Power Posse was one of the reasons our wedding was such a fun and unforgettable night! It is SO worth spending the few extra dollars with this DJ - because you get so much more than the average DJ. Doug is such a nice guy and awesome to work with. For our wedding, music was so important - I am a total music junkie and was probably a little more prescriptive for some parts of the evening - which Doug was so good and patient about. He didn't miss a beat - literally. For the parts of the evening that we weren't prescriptive about - they went above and beyond. People were on the dance floor all night! Also, the lighting and other equipment (sound, mics, etc) was just awesome. We also wanted a countdown clock of some sort given our wedding was on New Years Eve. Again, he exceeded our expectations with an giant digital countdown on the 70" flatscreen TV. So cool...and it added so much to our night.

We were SO happy with Power Posse and highly recommend them - can't say enough really. It makes such a difference for your guest experience and getting people moving and on the dance floor. Book them - you won't regret it!

Power Posse Productions did an amazing job with music and lighting at our wedding. DJ Jerry did a fantastic job throughout the evening and was very flexible throughout the planning process. He was able to include Bollywood songs and other special songs that we wanted and included all the edits that we asked for. He also did a great job with our lighting, announcing and overall flow of the evening. I would highly recommend this vendor!!

Power Posse provided an amazing music and lighting experience for our wedding. DJ Doug was on top of everything from the announcements to the very last song. I requested that he play current dance music and I didn't have to worry about a thing... He played incredible music with superior sound quality and kept the dance floor packed all night long. They also provided gorgeous up lighting that totally transformed the venue into a dance party. Doug even surprised us with snow falling for our winter wedding. We felt that Doug personalized his service to exceed our expectations. He was so professional and wonderful to work with and he really listened to our every wish for our wedding. We could have not been happier with the service DJ Doug gave us on our wedding night! He went way above and beyond and made us feel like his top priority. We received countless compliments on the music and up lighting from our guests. I highly recommend Power Posse for your wedding!!

We are so happy with our decision to go with Jerry from Power Posse!!! The entire production was professional and polished. We arranged for bistro lights and uplighting which added the perfect ambiance to our event. Our meeting with Jerry prior to our wedding went so smoothly -- he walked us through multiple things we hadn't even thought of. His music selection got everyone dancing way in to the night -- our guests even requested an encore and he delivered! He is so friendly and professional. His style is completely unobtrusive which is exactly what we wanted, yet he was able to gracefully transition guests into different parts of the evening. We would absolutely recommend Power Posse to others!!!

Dj Jerry was professional, flexible, supportive and a great DJ! Not only did he and his staff handle all our music needs for the night, but he also managed transitions (speeches, dances, introductions), worked with our cocktail hour musician, and even provided audio set-up for the ceremony. I would absolutely recommend Power Posse Productions services for anyone looking for a DJ that listens to your requests and concerns and creates a fantastic atmosphere for your guests!

Horrible Business!! (Power Posse in Connecticut)
1. DJ played wrong wedding song!!!
2. Dj didnt play any of the music we asked him to play
3. played no music to dance to during dinner, guests complained
4. I contacted the owner Doug a few weeks after to let him know what happened and he blew me off and kept telling me he was in a meeting and would call me back. He did it 4 times. I know when someone is blowing me off.

Don't be fooled by the promise of how cool they're equipment is. Unfortunately I was recommended this DJ by my wedding planner. It was a huge waste of money. A high school kid could have done a better job. Horrible business to work with!!!
