We used this venue for a celebration of life, it was perfect!

No one can ask for a better service experience with Jo Ellen at Post 6! She became like family throughout the process and helped lead us in the right direction with all decisions needing to be made... she was a grace! The venue has everything that you would need and is so gorgeous! The outdoor area is beautiful and the building is amazing as well. Lighting options are great and the kitchen is top notch! The pandemic was difficult to plan a wedding during but we managed with the help of the Post 6 staff! I cannot thank them enough for all their help! Five stars all around!!! The place speaks for itself when you go visit it!!!

Amazing! Not only were we impressed with the facility, but it was the Event Coordinator (Jo Ellen Munsee) who really sold this place for us! The facility is beautiful and spacious, and offered at fair price points among the packages. Initially we never thought to look at American Legion posts to have our wedding, but very glad we did. The space is very new and modern, having just been built within this past year. If you are lucky enough to have your wedding in the warm months, there is even a beautiful patio space out back that could very easily serve as the ceremony site, as well as a gazebo and pond for pictures. Jo Ellen even recommended our Planner, Dogwood Gatherings and Events, who really ensured that we were prepared for our wedding and that it ran smoothly. This place is really a hidden gem, nestled off of the road in Chapel Hill on HWY 54. We highly recommend!

I will say the Post 6 is beautiful. The Pros are It is spacious and located on acres of land so your celebration is private and away from the hustle and bustle of the city and highway.

The Cons: When we booked the venue we were told the landscaping would better (ex. there would be green grass), possibly flowers by the gazebo. There was a lot of red dirt (which stained my dress) where there should have been grass and no flowers. The pond was muddy and murky looking.

We were also told that they could move tables and chairs as needed then when we did our final walk through we were told that the table and chairs in the main lobby area had to be moved by us if we wanted them moved.

Everyone was friendly and responsive. Everything else was perfect!
