Perfect wedding day

Portraits by the bay helped make my wedding smooth and amazing. They made my husband and I super comfortable since we are not that photogenic. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs photography and videography. They are fantastic, friendly, and responsive. Thank you!

Wonderful!

From beginning to end, we loved working with Portraits by the Bay. We first met one of their photographers, Matt, at a bridal event and immediately felt like we had found a company we really clicked with. We initially booked them for photography only, but ended up having them do our videographer as well. The Portraits staff was amazingly responsive and answered my hundreds of questions quickly and accurately. They were SO incredibly wonderful the day of. There was a fire down the road from the venue and the WHOLE town was covered in a blanket of smoke, and Plans A and B for photos were both impossible. I didn't know what to do and they figured out somewhere for us to go and the unplanned pictures came out amazing! I'm so glad we worked with Portraits by the Bay :)

Love love love

We loved working with Portraits by the Bay! Jason knows what he is doing and kept us on time with the day. We planned with him our timeline for the day and he was very flexible with allowing us to take pictures at multiple places. We got married a week ago and already have our gallery. We love every single photo taken, which we normally hate how we come out in photos. Jason and his crew were amazing to work with. They were professional and fun at the same time! We would recommend everyone to use them!

Perfection!

We found Portraits by The Bay through our venue and could not have been happier! They were professional and made they day fun and were able to keep things moving. We got our pictures back within 4 days and were blown away by the quality. They were incredible and really captured the whole wedding from start to finish!

My girlfriend and I (at the time) found out about Portraits By The Bay a couples years ago at my friends wedding (which i was in). They were fun and professional throughout the whole day. Once we got engaged it was easy to pick who we were using for our photography. Once we met them to book them it was real easy going and it felt even more comfortable knowing who we chose. Once our wedding day came they made it real easy for us didnt have any stress as far as photos went. Pictures came out great and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Simply incredible

Jason and his team were great! From the first meeting they made us feel comfortable and friendly. During our event, they were very professional. They worked as quickly as possible to ensure you were on time. They knew exactly what to do and when to do it. I never saw them at the event other than staged pictures! They allowed us to all party while taking photos out of the way. I can't wait to see what we get back!
We also had Megan as our coordinator for the day. She knew exactly where to be and what was needed. She and I spoke 1 week in advance of the day and talked thru all the info she needed to keep us on target. She was available and informative during the whole event.
I definitely recommend!

We found Portraits by the Bay at a bridal expo and immediately knew they were the team we wanted to work with for our big day! We met with Matthew and Megan and they genuinely cared about making sure we would have everything we wanted. Their overall respectfulness and timely manner in answering any questions was a pleasure to work with. On the day of our wedding, Jesse and Matt were amazing! They were so easy to work with and their enthusiasm for capturing great moments was remarkable. We also added a photo booth with the company and us and all of our guests loved every picture taken! We are so pleased to have had them as a part of our wedding!

The moment William and I got engaged we knew exactly who our photographer would be, Portraits By the Bay! Jason, Matt and Megan are an amazing team of professionals, they invited us into their shop to create a customized package around our exact needs. This was a huge deciding factor for us because we knew we had specific requirements for our wedding photographer and Jason was more than happy to give us exactly what we wanted, no questions asked! During our engagement shoot Matt made us feel so relaxed and comfortable that it barely felt like we were being photographed by a stranger. On our wedding day Jason and Matt had such unique visions of what they wanted for our pictures, we let them take the lead and usher us around the little village at the Smithville Inn. Jason and Matt are truly talented individuals, the way they posed us and made sure the lighting was perfect for EVERY picture is a true testament of their dedication to their work. We can not thank Portraits By the Bay enough for being so passionate about their work, we know our photos are in great hands and we CAN NOT WAIT to see the finished product! The whole portraits by the bay team was amazing!! They shot every angle possible and made sure that we still made it to the cocktail hour. They planned out our whole day and even got such an amazing sunset picture. I can’t thank you guys enough !! I can’t wait to get the rest of our photos and our video!

Portraits by the Bay provided expert guidance and were the ultimate professionals at my daughter's wedding. We are so pleased with the photos, which were creative and fun. Initially we had planned on one photographer but we're so glad we ultimately decided on two. Now, we have equally fantastic photos of both the girls and the guys getting ready as well as dual vantages for all of the wedding festivities. Jesse and Matt were creative, fun and a pleasure to work with. One of the best decisions we made was to have Megan act as wedding consultant on they day of the event. She kept everyone on track, ensured that the venue was set up the way we wanted and she ran interference on any issues that arose. Portraits by the Bay would be a GREAT choice for your wedding!

Jason and Matt are AMAZING! We had so much fun working with them from start to finish. From the first time we met, we knew they were the perfect match for us, not only local to us, but we got along and chatted as if we had known each other for years. Everything leading up to the wedding was smooth sailing also. They were also so prompt to answer any and all questions we had and were flexible with everything. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch! The weather wasn't the best, but they made it work and we got some great pictures outside still. Working with them was so easy! They were calm, cool, & collected and everything just went smoothly. I would recommend them in a heart beat! We haven't gotten our pictures back yet (the wedding was only 5 days ago) but the little sneak peaks he was showing me on his camera were gorgeous and I can not wait to see them all! I could go on for days about how great they were to work with! Highly recommend!

I don't know where to begin to review this company other than to say they are: AMAZING!!!!! I luckily found them at a bridal show & INSTANTLY clicked with Megan & Matt! From the beginning...they were beyond professional, attentive, patient, etc. and not only were they such a blast to work with...they listened to everything we wanted and made it come true TEN FOLD! They were so so easy to get in touch with always and their response time was impeccable! From the engagement shoot...to the actual wedding...they were on their game! They made it pressure free and I just got the pictures back and am in LOVE! I laughed, cried (happy tears) and smiled looking at every single picture! Jessie & Matt are amazing photographers (Brody was so helpful too!)...they made us all so relaxed and happy throughout the entire day and their pictures are a testimony in themselves! The company as a whole is amazing & I highly recommend them...but I must say the real MVP of Portraits by the Bay has to be: Megan Perry! She has been by my side via texts, phone calls, etc. and helping me through the process since I hired them and to top it all off...she was the best thing that ever happened to me (besides my husband haha) and my bridal party the ENTIRE wedding day! She was the first person at my sisters in the morning...helping the photographers, my maid of honor, my bridesmaids, my family & especially me with every single thing we needed ALL DAY/NIGHT long! From fixing everyone's hair, dresses, etc...to crawling on the floor looking for my sisters lost earrings...to holding my clutch, sunglasses, etc throughout all the wedding chaos to make sure they didn't get lost...making sure I had my favorite drinks in my hand all nite, the list goes on and on and on! Many people assume all photography companies are the same...but I promise you, if you want that EXTRA SPECIAL above & beyond personal touch...hire this company & you won't regret it! Thanks!!!! I am completely obsessed with my wedding pictures. Me and John are so insanely happy with the pictures and how amazing your staff was. We literally cannot say enough good things. You were extremely professional and efficient, even with groomsmen that had too much to drink too early and were being slightly less then cooperative. We also had so much fun working with you. You made the process painless and enjoyable. For you to make my grandmother laugh out loud in pictures and smile so brightly--there are no words to express how much that means to me. My grandmother lost my grandpa just six months ago and that day was extremely difficult for her without him being there and you were able to pull her out of being sad and smile for pictures that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Your staff is amazing. Megan was so helpful and sweet. The boys were awesome. You have a truly awesome son! You should really be so proud because he is not only hardworking but he's such a nice kid. Joe was also fantastic. Like I said before, I have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about the whole experience. You surpassed my expectations for my wedding photos and I can't wait to send friends to you and work with you for events in the future.

My experience with Portraits By The Bay was excellent! Matt was my photographer and Brody was his assistant, and they were great! They were so professional and a lot of fun. I have to also mention that they were with us for the entire day, which began at 10am and didn't end until 11:30pm!!! I would definitely recommend them!

The Portraits by the Bay team was such a pleasure to work with for our engagement shoot and wedding. They were able to capture amazing shots far beyond the typical formal wedding photos. I'm so impressed by all the candid shots they caught throughout the night...there are some serious gems! In addition to working with a great team we received our photos just about a week after our wedding, which was far sooner then what I expected. The packages offered are a great value and they were able to customize a one to fit our needs and budget. I couldn't be a happier bride and I look forward to working with them in the future!

Jesse and the whole crew had me laughing the entire day. I was worried about having a photographer that would feel intrusive, but they made sure to be very accommodating and kept the day running smoothly! The Photo Booth was definitely a great addition to the day and Megan and little Morris were great! It was nice that they had previously worked at BBYC and were able to help me create my vision for the day! Can't wait to see the pictures!

Portraits By The Bay is a truly wonderful choice for your wedding pictures. Every special moment from our day will forever be remembered with each camera shot. Not much planning needs to go in at your end because Jason thinks about the important memories that should be captured. Before the day even begins, Jason takes a close up photo of you to be sure you are happy with hair, make up, jewelery, etc. After most of your pictures are complete before the reception, you truly can get lost in the moment only to find them walking around taking pictures of the fun and love that surrounds you. The sunset pictures, forget about it! They know the exact timing to take these breathtaking pictures that I was able to catch a glimpse of. Thank you for making our day truly wonderful!

Jason and his team are the BEST! Jason and Megan were always there for me during my wedding planning process whenever I had a question and both responded immediately to every need. We had our Engagement session at the beginning of the summer and our photos turned out amazing! Jason worked so well with our children as well and was very open to any ideas we had. I can't wait until the wedding and to see how well the photographs are captured!

A wedding should be remembered and definitely will be if Jason and his crew take your pictures! Not a shot was missed and they really knew how to take wholesome pictures. The entire family was included in beach pictures and pictures at our reception site (The Mill in Spring Lake, NJ). I can not wait to receive our albums and videos, especially since our photos looked fabulous! This was to no surprise, as Jason also took our outstanding engagement photos nine months prior. Portraits by the bay showed up on time the day of our wedding, and we received our photos just a short week after our special day! Jason's crew made picture taking fun and memorable. I don't even know where to begin. Jason and his team (Matt and "Uncle" Jesse) were outstanding, OUTstanding. Between the 3 of them, we had every shot imaginable, almost 4,000 photos to go through! Photography is one of the most important aspects of a wedding, if not the most important, and we are so glad we went with Portraits by the Bay! Even our engagement shoot was awesome.

We cannot wait to put together our wedding album and see how that comes out! Amazing I'm sure!

Be sure to check out the beautiful wooden piece they do, that was the selling feature to us, very unique, unlike anything we've seen before.

We will be contacting Jason again when it's time for maternity and family shots.

Portraits by the Bay is an amazing team to work with! Jason, and his team, are extremely professional, kind, and attentive. They are extremely artistic, and all of their wedding day photography ideas were gorgeous. We could not have been more pleased with how our photos came out. One is more beautiful than the next. Jason, and team, were also amazing with my family the day of the wedding. I have 2 step-sons, ages 5 and 6, and Jason managed to get them smiling throughout the day. They listened to all of my requests, and paid attention to the smallest details, which made for a lifetime of memories. They were truly a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend them. Jason and Jesse were absolutely amazing! They were creative, professional, and caring and we could not have asked for a better team to work with! I can't put into words how amazing Jason and his team were on our wedding day!! They made us feel so at ease and happy! My family and friends could not stop talking about their professionalism. Leading up to the wedding Jason was available when we needed him and always made sure he got back to us with answers to questions. Our engagement pictures were stunning and our wedding pictures came out absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to see our video!! I would recommend Portraits by the Bay to any bride!! They are excellent!

We have come to the conclusion that we could not have picked a better photographer for the biggest day of our lives! From day one we loved portraits by the bay! So great to work with and definitely relationship based! We feel like family more than a client! We had our engagement shoot and absolutely adore our pictures!! We used portraits by the bay for our maternity pictures. Jason provided us with our first professional photos. It was very relaxed and Jason made us feel comfortable. We will be using Jason for family portraits with our new baby.

I am so very happy with my decision to hire Jason and his team to do the photography and videography for my wedding. Jason was recommended to me by my venue and also by a friend who wished she went with Jason instead of another photographer. Not only did Jason and his team make the picture taking fun (my bridal party loved him) but he also captured all the moments I had wanted and the photos are absolutely stunning!!! His artistic abilities are incredible. Jason's website does not showcase all of his many talents so I would absolutely recommend meeting with him so you are able to see all of his abilities, it is really quite impressive. Not only are his photos beautiful but Jason was also so helpful throughout the process, he helped me with the flow and timing of the day which was a HUGE help! You are getting the full package if you go with Portraits By The Bay, I can promise you they will go out of their way to make your photos beautiful!

Jason was totally awesome to work with! He was willing to run to the beach in the possibility of a downpour to get us all some shots on the beach! He knew how to capture the most beautiful pictures and is extremely quick to get them back to us!

Jason and his staff are the best! I was so lucky to have had them be a part of our wedding day. They were so reasonable and flexible, considering we had to change our wedding date and venue and they were more than accommodating. Jason has responded to every e-mail and phone call and his work is unbelievable. He is a true gift to have at your wedding. He will take pride and joy in his work and his photographs and ideas are remarkable. He will work with you and fight for you with difficult vendors or when things are not going your way. He will act a as a consultant, friend, and best of all-the best photographer imaginable. You would not be disappointed hiring them, they are one of a kind!

Portraits By The Bay is by far the way to go for your engagement, wedding and beach photography! We only needed to meet with one photographer and our decision was made! From the very beginning, Jason welcomed us into his home and made us feel comfortable in understanding that this was a big decision. It was the most stress-free aspect of our wedding process as he didn't try to sell his services; Jason merely presented to us what it is he does in detail, what to expect and allowed his services to speak for itself. Jason is very prompt as he knows the ins-and-outs of the schedule of events, the duration, who needs to be where and when, etc. He's fully aware that you want to be partying with friends and family during your reception and gets all of your pictures done without rushing because he knows the landscape that he's working with and knows what pictures work without having to try things on the fly. Throughout the year leading up to our wedding day, he was easily accessible and maintained constant communication so we knew what was coming, what needed to be done and when. There are no surprises and last minute changes do not happen without you first being made aware ASAP - you are always kept up-to-date. Jason's wife Christine also did our invitations and was no different. She is extremely understanding, patient and - most importantly - very helpful in exchanging ideas while you go through designs, verbiage, colors, etc. Like Jason, Christine is also in constant communication, is easily accessible and a tremendous point-of-contact between you and the distributor of your invitations. Our wedding day was the biggest day in our lives and both Jason and Christine made sure it would be memorable, smooth, and fun. We are so fortunate in having not only hired a wedding photographer and someone to handle our invitations, we made two new friends along the way and are looking forward to future memories with them.

We could never thank Jason enough for all he did to make our wedding as incredible as it was. He is beyond amazing and the photos that he took are unbelievable. We could not have asked for better pictures. He was able to capture the romance, magic and uniqueness of our day in such a way that it takes my breath away each time I look at them.

We made the best choice when hiring Jason for our wedding and would ask him to photograph any other special event we have. Photos of your wedding day are extremely important, at least they were to us, and there is no doubt when it comes to Jason's talent.

My husband, Matt, and I could not have been happier to have Jason as our wedding photographer! Our wedding was planned in 2 months secondary to my husband's hasty military deployment overseas. Thanks to Jason's flexibility, we were able to pull it off. I reviewed several photographers' portfolios online, spoke to a couple on the phone, one quoting outrageous prices. I have to thank the bride-to-be who I stumbled into at a bridal accessory store in Wall Twp., NJ for hooking us up. I can't say enough about Portraits by the Bay Photography! Jason and George photographed our June 9, 2012 wedding. They did an absolutely incredible job!! Jason made it SO fun and easy!! Everyone loved them!! They were extremely professional and yet so down to earth. We just saw the pictures and they are gorgeous!! I couldn't stop smiling going through them, and our friends and family are raving about them. That's a great feeling. Pete and John shot our wedding, and how fun are they!! They showed up on time, made me laugh like crazy because I was super nervous, and caught THE BEST pictures I could have asked for! Jason made us feel comfortable from the day we met him. He did our engagement photos (including the choosing of the location) and they came out amazing.

Up until the day of the wedding, we had only met Jason, but the other 2 guys that were with us the day of the wedding (Pete & John) absolutely brought the same comfortable fun energy that Jason has. They were very willing to take all the pictures we specifically asked for, as well as coming up with a million and one great ideas on their own. They spent our entire day with us (over 10 hours!) and never missed a beat. They were fun to be around, and also seamlessly faded into the background when it was necessary.

We can't wait to see how our photos turned out but we have NO doubt that they'll be amazing.

We would absolutely recommend Portraits by the Bay for any & all photography needs.

There is no better photography tag-team than Jason and Seth from Portraits by the Bay. Truly. We had a hectic, but fun, destination wedding in the Outer Banks and Jason and Seth came down from Jersey to shoot not only the day, but awesome family pictures the night before. Jason is an incredibly talented photographer -- he makes everyone feel relaxed and comfortable, all while being extremely focused and professional. He even got my husband to enjoy getting his picture taken. He is the best there is, period. He even bustled my dress!!

Jason and his crew were absolutely phenomenal! We had a very large (and rowdy) bridal party plus our two small children. From the time he arrived he knew exactly what pictures he wanted to get, was able to keep our 22 person bridal party in check and never seemed to move on to next shot until he was happy with what he got. Portraits By The Bay was an awesome photography vendor. My husband and I got our engagement pictures done in July and loved them, and we just knew our wedding pictures would be amazing as well. We have gotten them back and are thrilled. Everyone who has seen them cannot believe how many were taken to choose from and how beautiful they look. Jason, the owner, was very helpful through our entire planning process and always emailed and called us back within minutes of my emailing or calling him. On our wedding day we had Charlie and he was great! His ideas and receptiveness to our ideas were perfect and we couldn't have asked for more. My fiance and I really like working with Jason. We booked Portraits by the Bay for our wedding which is not until next May and with the package we got an engagement photo shoot as well. He picked an awesome location to do the pictures and I think they came out great. We traveled from Michigan to New Jersey for the shoot and you couldn't ask for a better day. If you are located in New Jersey or having your wedding or any event and want quality pictures taken go with Portraits By the Bay you won't be disappointed.

We booked Matt from Portraits and were SO happy with him from beginning to end! He was professional, attentive, super cool, and his pictures came out phenomenally!! He made the night move smoothly and always kept our desires in mind as he took his pictures. He kept everyone on schedule, and the groomsmen had a blast taking getting ready pictures with him. We would definitely love the opportunity to work with him again!!

Our second photographer had a bit of a different personality style from ours, but his pictures came out beautifully as well. Overall, we were very happy with our services from Portraits by the Bay.

Jason from Portraits by the Bay was a blast to work with! His work is absolutely beautiful and he made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Jason is a true friend and wonderful photography. The wedding was July 25th and I am awaiting the photos, but just by looking at our engagment shoot (included in the package), the pictures will be amazing.
