Sweet 16 party

We were extremely happy with Vincent!! He really made the evening that much more special for my daughter’s sweet 16. Very easy to work with and all we needed to do was provide him the space and he took care of the rest. Great music all night long and the vibe was nothing but positive thanks to Vincent. Definitely recommend!!

Do not hesitate with DJ Vince!

We had DJ Vince at our wedding on July 6, 2025 and he was amazing. We had multiple phone calls leading up to the day, going in detail on music, participation games, etc. He also has a photo booth add on as well which we loved. We got so many compliments throughout the night and even to this day about how amazing our DJ was. I highly recommend DJ Vince and his team. They were the best!

Awesome DJ!

Vince was the best DJ we could have chosen for our summer 2024 wedding at Long Beach Museum of Art! He communicated with us to make the entire process easy. He allowed us to choose our entire wedding playlist from the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception. He made the entire process a breeze! We are so grateful that we had such a fun and kind person DJ our wedding! We would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for an event.

Best night ever!

I hired Portillo Productions for my second reception and they turned just a party, into a night my husband and I will never forget! They are a very professional team that doesn’t cut any corners. They’ll make sure your party/reception is everything you want it to be! Vince is such an amazing DJ, and his Photo Booth was definitely a highlight of the night. Not only is it fun, but the photo prints act as party favors too! You can customize the print outs with a certain design and text. I wasn’t expecting that level of personalization! I am so happy I decided to go with Portillo Productions. If you’re considering hiring them, don’t second guess it. You will not be disappointed!

Made my entire wedding!

Okay let me tell you DJ Vince was the highlight of the party! We had been to a few weddings where dancing was not that big of a deal, and that is NOT what we wanted at ours. So when we found DJ Vince through a friend who had also used him at several events we did not realize how much of an impact he would make on our day! He gives you a questionnaire to fill out so he can get the vibe and details of what you are looking for, then you have another meeting to go over it in detail. I basically told him we wanted it to feel like a 90s prom or club, I wanted to be in the Save The Last Dance movie basically haha and when I tell you he delivered....HE FREAKING DELIVERED!! Our wedding started early at like 2pm - so we started dancing by 5 and people did not get off the dancefloor until the very last song! He playing banger after banger and so many people told us that our wedding was the most fun they had ever been to mainly because of the music! Not to mention, my best friends sang our first dance song and since Vince is also a musician he knew exactly what we needed to make their performance happen smoothly and sound great!

I cannot say more good things about Portillo Productions! Thank you Vince, and if you want a fun freaking wedding reception hire him!

The best of the best - you will not be disappointed!

Highly recommend using Vince for any occasion! Vince was our DJ at our wedding in July of this year and he absolutely killed it. He was able to keep people on the dance floor all night long, while ensuring us (bride & groom) were the main focus. Vince was very professional throughout the entire process and did everything we asked of him without hesitation. All of the chosen music was perfect and his mixes were seamless! We knew we couldn’t have asked for anyone better for our day, but that was confirmed when we received many compliments from guests!

Amazing DJ!!!

Vince was an amazing DJ! He kept the party going all night! He is amazing to work with and I would definitely reccomend him for any wedding or event! He is very personable and wants to make your day as great as possible. Vince met with us before the wedding to go over all the songs we chose and the flow of the day! We talked in detail about which parts of the songs would be best for the moments we chose (aise songs, recessional etc.) He also helped our officiant and gave him tips since it was his first time officiating a wedding. The songs he chose for the reception were perfect for our vibe and all the guests had a great time dancing! Overall, Vince went above and beyond and helped make our day perfect!

I was referred to Vince by friends who were actually in the wedding party.
After booking Vince for the wedding, we were given a questionnaire, and then he set up a time shortly before the wedding to go over details and exactly what we were looking for. He provided music before/during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. This included 3 different areas to set up in the same venue. He also provided mics for the ceremony, as the ones the venue had are not the best quality.
Vince was my favorite vendor to work with on the wedding day, because really, I didn't work with him at all. I didn't even meet him until about half way through the wedding. I explained to him that he was the only one not asking me questions, and he simply replied "That's because I'm doing my job". The caterers and videographers were super annoying asking me questions during pictures before the ceremony. There were just as many details for Vince setting up, but again he was very professional and didn't 'bother' me with questions.
He was very accommodating and supportive of our music choices. He was able to interpret our music selections. For some sections of the questionnaire, we literally just wrote down vague music genres, and he understood what we wanted.
He was also a great MC! He definitely kept the party going, lighthearted and fun. Most importantly, he helped control our rowdy bunch of friends and family. (Following directions is hard for our people, especially when alcohol is involved.)
Everything ran super smoothly, from our untraditional music choices for the ceremony, to the non-stop dancing at the reception. I can not say enough positive things about Vince!

Vince was simply the best. It's hard to even find a place to begin with how great he was. He took time to chat with us before the wedding and plan out the kinds of playlists we'd love. He was extremely good at feeling out the crowd during the event and making sure people were up and dancing. I can't even tell you how many people came up to us at the end and told us how much they loved the DJ. I'd say that's a win!

On top of all that, he helped with the flow. We were a little cramped for time with sunset and he made sure we got all of the pictures we needed before the sun went down and the photographers had to leave. Way above and beyond what was required of him.

Vince did our ceremony, cocktail hour, and our reception and he was great for everything. It was over 8 hours of work and he used all of his own equipment. We can't recommend him enough!

I absolutely love DJ Vince! I am really glad that my husband and I chose him as our DJ for our wedding. He was very flexible and was a great communicator. I really like the fact that he sent us a detailed questionnaire about what kind of music to play and what kind of role he will play in our wedding. He communicated with us frequently and was even able to adapt to last minute changes. He brings his own equipment and sets up early. He did everything at our wedding: Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception. He played great music and kept us dancing all night long until the end of our reception! I recommend him to any wedding that would like to have great communication, flexibility, and a great time!

Vince was awesome! We are so happy to have hired him as our wedding reception DJ and live cocktail hour musician. Our wedding was 2 months ago and I still have people talking about what a great wedding it was and how much they loved the music. Vince played the music we asked him to and was great at knowing what kind of music to play for the generation that was on the dance floor at any given time. The dance floor was packed until the very end of the reception with people dancing!! Vince was also very responsive and great at accommodating my husband and I when we needed to talk with him. He was happy to meet us anywhere to meet and talk at anytime we needed him. He is a must hire for any wedding or event!!

I know Vince through a good friend and he DJ'd her wedding and was amazing so I knew from the second I got engaged I wanted to use his services for my wedding. He was unfortunately already booked on my wedding day so he set me up with another trusted DJ that works with his company DJ Nelson. My hubby and I met him before the wedding at the Five Crowns (where we had our ceremony and wedding reception) he was friendly, personable, knowledgable, organized and accommodating and willing to do anything to make sure our special day turned out exactly how we wanted it too. Day of the wedding Nelson played all the music we love, he was there early, got the crowd dancing and having a great time and helped run the party so the wedding was a total success. My Wife and I chose Portillo Productions as our Wedding DJ and Photo booth vendor. First and foremost, Vince and Heather are a dynamic duo and an absolute joy to work with. Long before the big day, Vince provided the most comprehensive music selection questionaire I could've imagined, which helped guide the flow of music throughout the big day. The event flowed smoothly and Vince completely crushed it on the boards. Heather and her photobooth setup, with the bounty of props and beautiful golden backdrop, not to mention the polaroid printouts that made up our scrap book and provided our party guests with party favors, was an absolute smash hit and had all of our guests gushing over the whole experience. In all, my Wife and I feel blessed to work with such lovely people and top-notch professionals. We would wholeheartedly endorse Vince and Heather for any wedding/party/social event that you want to turn into beautiful memories to savor for a lifetime.

Vince at Portillo Productions did such a great job! We hired him to do our ceremony music, cocktail hour and of course reception. His company also manages the photo booth, which made the coordination of the event extra easy! Vince met with us several times before our the wedding so we could plan all the details of our big day. He was very flexible in finding times to meet and was happy to meet as often as I felt like we needed to. Vince was so great in understanding the type of music we wanted and the type of atmosphere we were trying to create. I supplied a handful of songs that I definitely wanted played at our wedding and he was so receptive. Vince is funny, but not over the top. He was perfect at keeping the crowd interested and the dancing went on ALL night long! We were having so much fun at our reception we ended up extending our party and Vince was more than happy to stay the extra hour. Vince did more than we could have ever expected. We had Portillo Productions provide us with a photo booth for our 40th high school reunion. From the very beginning when I contacted Vince for information to the very end of the night of our event, the service was extraordinary. Vince is very helpful and informative through the whole process. The guy working the photo booth, Anthem was fantastic. He was funny and put people at ease. Portillo Productions is an amazing business and Vince himself is a great guy to work with. Our experience went so smoothly in our preparations, and he always made it very clear all the ways we could customize his service to suit our needs. His packages are reasonably prized and you get a lot more than someone who plays music in the background or even just MC's. Come reception time he really helped us by giving structure to the order and duration of events, and making sure that everyone knew when and what they were doing regarding entrances, dances, cake-cutting, etc. He took so much pressure off us that night; we really felt lucky to have him. His knowledge of music is vast, and he has a good read on the people on the dance floor. He's more than capable of following your requests or playing it by ear, and I was very pleased to have found his service.

Amazing service all around. Why even hire a wedding coordinator... After hiring Vince as our DJ for both our ceremony and wedding reception We could not be happier. He suggested that we get together twice before the event to go over expectations and details which he nailed. He gave us a questionnaire form to fill out which allowed him to get to know what kind of people we were and how the formalities were going to go. The day came and we were so impressed with everything. He went above and beyond anything we could imagine. From set-up to music, playlists, song request, etc.. and his awesome outgoing personality- not only did we love him but our guest haven't stopped talking about how amazing our wedding was and how awesome the DJ was. He was completely prepared with extra equipment to work with my outdoor, and minimal power sources, venue. He was very mindful of time and worked very professionally with my other vendors to make the night run smoothly. My guests had a blast. I have been friends with Vince for a little while and when my now wife and I got engaged, we decided to book him having never seen him perform, based only on his personality. What we got was far and away better than anything we could have ever expected.
He met with us a couple times to go over what it was we wanted and made sure that he understood what we were looking for in the party. Come wedding day, he was on top of it. He showed up early, had everything set up, had a full rundown of everything needed and hustled to make sure that it all flowed and that everything we wanted to happen did. Most importantly, once the formal stuff was over, he kept the party going and the dance floor full until the very end, and then a little more after that.
I had multiple people come up to me that night and the next couple days and say it was the best wedding they had ever been to and I fully believe that is because we had Vince as our DJ/MC. It would not have been what it was without him!

Vince was listed on our venue's preferred vendor list and my now-husband and I chose him as one of the DJs we would interview for our wedding. From the moment we met Vince, we knew he understood what we wanted for our ceremony and reception and that he would help make the day perfect! We really wanted someone who could keep the party going without being a "ham" and making the entertainment all about him - and Vince was upfront from day 1 that he was there to create the kind of party we wanted. He provided both the ceremony sound and DJ/MC services for our reception (both were held in the same location). Vince worked with our schedules to set up meetings to go over everything we needed and was open to our non-traditional ideas for the musical selections. He was able to take our suggestions to build a strong playlist that appealed to our personalities (it was a "punk rock wedding") as well as to our family/friends who like more traditional and mainstream dancing music. Our families and friends are still talking about how great the music was and how much fun they had at the party (I don't think the dance floor was ever empty once the party got started). Vince timed everything perfectly for our ceremony, offered suggestions about what sound setup would work best in our location (mic setup), and made announcements as necessary (shuttles, etc) without losing the energy of the evening. Vince and his band mates were amazing!! Vince helped organize my entire wedding day outline, reception timing, dances, etc.; and even helped the bar with the champagne pours for the toasts. Vince set up at my ceremony site, and reception. I had Hawaiian dancers come do a show during dinner, he made sure their show went off without any issues with sound or music, he worked with my pre wedding musicians to make sure they had microphones and set ups. He kept everything on time the whole evening, and was super entertaining for all my guests. Vince and his band were professional, helpful, I loved all the music that was played, I had his live band for most the night, then also used DJ on breaks. He even helped clean up the venue. I couldn't ask for better service on my special day, I'm so glad I went with Portillo Productions! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, and hope to use again some day for a big party!!

Vince was an exceptional D.J. His pre questionnaire saved us a lot of time and kept things moving at the right pace. I loved the way he read the crowd and always played the appropriate music for the timeline of her reception.

Your DJ search is over! Seriously. Vince is the best. He’s so good we've been keeping him in the family for years now. He was the DJ for my sister’s wedding and my uncle’s wedding, and in October 2014 he DJed my wedding at the Diamond Bar Center.

Throughout the planning process Vince was professional, kind and quick to respond to emails and questions. As out of town clients, he made sure to find time to meet with us whenever we were in town. He made an extra effort to learn about us and understand the type of wedding reception we envisioned.

And he delivered! Not only did the music match the mood and feel we wished-for, but the entire flow of the reception was flawless thanks to Vince’s great MCing. Even when we hit a bump in the road (dinner was delayed 20 minutes) Vince worked seamlessly with our other vendors and my husband and I to decide how to rearrange the schedule and fill the time. Vince was able to adapt the music perfectly to the way the reception progressed throughout the night and was very receptive to the input we gave him regarding music selection.

Vince also provided the uplights for our reception. We were completely clueless when it came to lighting; with no direction from us Vince walked us through it and made the ballroom look great!

Long story short, Vince is amazing. Book him – you won’t regret it!

Vince definitely made our wedding experience a lot easier. From the very first meeting he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of our questions and concerns throughout the whole process. We reserved him very early in the year as we did not want to be stuck with out a DJ for our wedding. He managed to stay in constant contact with us during the 9 months prior to our wedding. Weeks before our wedding he finalized all the details with us to make sure names were pronounced correctly and songs that we wanted to hear were available. On the day of the event Vince was on time and had all of his equipment set up well in advance. Vince managed to keep up with a constant changing schedule and made the whole night enjoyable for my wife and all of our guests. I would definitely recommend Vince for your wedding!!!

Vince was a fantastic DJ! I was the maid of honor for my best friend's wedding and not only did the ceremony go smoothly, as he provided the sound, but the reception was perfect. I was nervous about saying my speech but that was it. I didn't have to worry about the sound because Vince was there doing all the work. He came right up to me before the speech and told me where to help the mic for best sound. The music he chose was excellent. As the bride and groom were not picky about music, Vince had full reign with which music to provide and everyone was on the dance floor until the very last song. I loved his humor, but even more I love that he didn't take the show away from the bride and groom. He was organized, well spoken, well stressed, a perfect DJ for any event.

We could not have asked for a better DJ than Vince with Portillo Productions! In the months leading up to the wedding, we knew he was going to do a great job because of the extra prep work that he put into our event. Vince made sure to know all the intricate details about our special day. On the wedding day, he showed up to the venue early and with a smile on his face. For the ceremony Vince worked with our musician and our Officiant to make sure there was music and sound for our ceremony and some great exit music. Once the ceremony was finished, Vince did a great job of setting the tone during the cocktail hour. The rest of the night went off without a hitch mainly because he was completely organized and in control. Vince made sure the event ran smoothly from one thing to the next during the reception. The open dancing portion of the reception was outstanding because of all the wonderful suggestions he had for the music during the events. Vince ensured everyone had a great time on the dance floor from the 3 year old kids to the grannies tearing it up! Vince is an absolute professional and amazing at what he does! We were looking for a DJ who could provide both ceremony and reception music, as well as MC'ing services and he was able to deliver all of that and more. He is so flexible and easy to work with - all of your song requests are free and he schedules time with you to go over your entire schedule, song requests and name pronunciations so that he is completely prepared. He even worked with me to help lengthen a song I chose for my processional so that there would be enough time for the bridal party to walk down the aisle. He's very quick to respond to emails so that I never felt like I was forgotten. Our wedding went off without a hitch and it was in large part thanks to him!

Vince DJ'd our wedding and it was everything we asked for. We had some family sing the song I walked down the aisle to and Vince made sure they were mic'd up and everyone could hear them. He provided the PA for our officiant and when the ceremony was over, the music was cued like clockwork. He has tons of equipment to make sure anything you want can be done. Including soft romantic up lightning! Vince also provided all the music for the reception. He kept it fun but quiet for the dinner service and provided an impeccable time line to make sure all the major dances and speeches happened in a timely fashion, as he was our MC for the night. After that the party was on and he kept the music high energy to keep the party going. Everyone had an amazing time! I could not have found a better DJ! *side note. Ask him about his connection with a photo booth. He was able to provide info for a great photo booth rental which was fun and hilarious!

Our DJ Vince was very professional, fun loving, and patient. He was helpful in helping us choose songs, and keeping within our music taste. He was accommodating to our every need, and even was able to supply us with music during our cocktail hour, which was not planned for until the day of our wedding when our venue told us they would not have music available in that area. That was no problem for Vince, he just pulled more equipment out of his trailer and made it happen for us! Very great DJ and emcee services! Hands down Vince is the best entertainer we have ever encountered. We were expecting just to have a DJ for our wedding but as it turned out, he went well beyond our expectations. We had the great opportunity to hire Portillo Productions for our recent October Palm Springs wedding. Vince Portillo provided us with DJ, MC, Band, Lighting and Monogram services. We liked Vince the moment we met him, as he is very personable, professional, and kept a calm and confident demeanor. Prior to the wedding, he followed up periodically to ensure that we are on track with music selections, and name pronunciation. We were seeking a reception room with an elegant vibe, and Vince worked hand in hand with Christine from White Orchid Productions to transform our reception room to nothing less than perfect. He staged the up lighting around the perimeter, which provided that perfect candle light glow. We also added a Monogram, which shined down the center of the dance floor. Based on the few songs we provided him, and our request to keep the party’s tempo out through the night, Vince did an excellent job with music selection between the Top 40’s and various live songs with the band, The Gypsy Dolls (Vince, Tober Mei, Anthem and Eric Brown). The band was extraordinary as they played various covers, and the entire dance floor was packed the entire night. Everyone was having and that is exactly what we wanted. Vince worked closely with our wedding coordinator to ensure that the timeline flowed seamlessly, and made last minute adjustments as necessary to accommodate any hiccups. My wife Lilly and I would like to thank Vince from Portillo Productions and The Gypsy Dolls for making our wedding night so memorable to our guests and us. After meeting DJ Vince, at Portillo Productions, we knew we had the right guy. He was very personable and professional during our first meeting, he maintained contact with us throughout all our planning, and best of all, he was perfect on the day of our wedding.

He knew exactly what kind of DJ we wanted, and he asked all the right questions to get an idea of what we wanted.

We had asked for two set-ups because the reception and ceremony were in two different places, and that was not a problem for him. He has a wide variety of music, so he could satisfy all styles and accommodate good and bad dancers, of which we had many of the latter. He also worked very well with our wedding planner and was on point with the timeline.

I would definitely use him again for any future events and without a doubt would recommend him to others looking for a DJ.

Vince made both myself and my wife extremely comfortable with his professional demeanor and approach. Vince showed up early, set up without supervision or any questions and played exactly the right music at exactly the right time. My wife and I are both very particular about the genre's of music we wanted and Vince did an amazing job and he even played a few things that are new favorites of my wife and I. I always thought DJs had a sort of "used car salesman" vibe but Vince had none of that. It also didn't hurt that Vince's prices were less than some of the other DJs we interviewed. Take it from me the wrong DJ can ruin a wedding but I never expected Vince to make our day as special as he did. Rad job, thanks Vince!

Vince was great to work with from the moment we met him and throughout our wedding planning.
Our wedding guests were mostly in their 20's and 30's and Vince kept the music flowing all night. He made sure to play our must have songs and there were always people on the dance floor. Our friends and family kept commenting how great the music was. He was very thorough, professional and just a very genuine person who seems to truly enjoy what he does. We recommend him very highly!

I was very impressed with Vince at my neice-in-law's wedding and both my husband and I decided pretty much that day that we would want him to DJ our wedding. He was professional at her wedding but this was even more readily apparent as we began working with him for our wedding. Our wedding was a modern twist on a 1920s Jazz Club/Hollywood Glamour Party and hit selected music we both specifically wanted and that fit the decade. He adapted to the constraints of our historical location and to the changes from our timeline. He gave guidance to us where we had questions but also made sure that this remained our wedding, rather than trying to fit us into a preconceived prototype. I reccommended him already to several clients getting married and would not hesitate to continue to recommend him.

Hiring DJ Vince/Portillo Production for our wedding reception was one of the easiest choices I had to make regarding our wedding. I knew that Vince was the best man for the job and he did not disappoint! He spent time with me prior to the wedding on more than one occasion to go over the music selections and our reception schedule. He went beyond our expectations and shows that he really cares to make sure the evening goes smoothly. Weddings can be stressful but Vince puts us at ease by paying close attention to all the details- such as pronouncing all the wedding party’s names correctly, playing a great selection of music to set the perfect tone throughout the evening, and he even took the time to modified our first dance song. We feel very fortunately to have Vince for our special day. Thank you!

My daughter just got married last weekend. We used Portillo Productions as our DJ service. The owner Vince was amazing. Before the wedding we met and went over all his services he offered. First, he is so likeable. He has a genuine personality. We choose Vince to do our Ceremony music, cocktail hour music and to be the DJ our reception. He listened to our requests and also gave us his professional advice. He was articulate when announcing the names of the wedding party. He was amazing at keeping the pace of the reception going. He made all the announcements when the next event was coming and introduced family and friends when they were giving their speeches. I would use Portillo Productions in a heart beet and would recommend him greatly to any other couple that is looking for a top notch DJ and wanting a spectacular wedding reception. I would recommend him to do any event where you could utilize his services. He knows exactly what he’s doing. A real pro!!

All my friends had so much fun dancing at my wedding thanks to Ruben!!! I heard from a lot of people that he was the best wedding DJ that they had heard in a long time. He took the time to meet with me in person to go over his questionnaire and any questions that I had and I felt like he really listened to what I wanted! I had to contact them last minute to change the number of set ups and get a clip on mic and he was so flexible about it and took care of everything. He was really organized and made everything so easy! He even took requests from all my crazy friends and the music was perfect all night long! I would 100% recommend Vince and his team to DJ any wedding or event!

Wow! Vince was fantastic! From start to finish he was extremely helpful in setting up our song selections. He was organized and easy to work with. As a wedding coordinator myself, I was very impressed.

We had an outdoor wedding and despite all odds for San Diego.... It RAINED!! It not only rained, but it did not start raining until halfway through the reception. Vince was quick to move his equipment to an alternate location and kept the party going under that stressful scenario.

We had an amazing time and cannot wait for the photos of everyone dancing the night away.

Portillo Productions was awesome. From the moment we contacted them about our wedding we received excellent service. Vince was always very responsive to all of my questions and was very professional and easy to work with. He played the piano during the ceremony which ran smoothly and without a flaw. It was absolutely beautiful. Not only did he do an amazing job, but his music selection was very current, yet appropriate.

Vince also recommended DJ Nelson who played during our reception. DJ Nelson rocked it. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ that fit our style and added to the excitement of the evening. Everyone was dancing and having a great time and the pictures from the reception really show it. Portillo Productions provided us with a DJ questionnaire a few months prior to the wedding, which we found to be extremely helpful with the overall planning of the ceremony and reception as there were many questions listed that you probably wouldn’t think of unless otherwise prompted. The questionnaire also worked as a timeline for the DJ. From the grand entrance songs and wedding party order, to the speeches and songs we had requested, the questionnaire without a doubt contributed to the perfect outcome and helped to keep the evening on schedule. I really appreciated DJ Nelson’s attentiveness through the entire reception. I will always hold Portillo Productions in very high regards for helping make our special day so perfect. Vince was our DJ for our wedding this past May and it could not have gone better. My wife and I knew exactly what kind of DJ and music we wanted for our wedding. Vince made himself available for us to walk through our music choices and our ideal involvement for our MC. His professionalism really made us feel at ease and that we never had to worry about our selection. The night went off without a hitch and Vince was exactly as we had hoped. We absolutely LOVED having Vince as our DJ! To this day, 4 years later, people still talk to us about how much fun they had at our wedding, and how great our DJ was. "My husband and I have known Vince Portillo for 7 years through their work together in music projects. When we married, Vince was the only person we wanted to play piano at our ceremony and DJ our reception. As most brides-to-be know, wedding planning is time consuming; however I knew there was one thing I didn’t have to worry about – the music at the ceremony. With our blessing, Vince chose the songs he played on piano as the guests arrived and throughout the ceremony. He was accompanied by a fiddle player, Matt Brislawn, and they played music with a Celtic sound which I loved. While the guests made their way to the reception site, so did Vince. He had set up his DJ equipment before the ceremony so he was ready to start the music as the guests arrived. Vince has an immense collection of music from all genres. We wanted modern loves songs that meant something to us and he played our suggestions along with playing what he sensed the crowd wanted. When it was time to get the party started he played dance tunes and took requests. Vince helped keep the flow going with introductions and alerting everyone when we were transitioning to the bouquet/garter toss and cake cutting, etc. Two years later and we still get complements on the music that was played at our wedding. We highly recommend Vince Portillo and Portillo Productions."

Vince was an amazing part of our day. We heard about him via word of mouth from a work related contact. With raving reviews we just had to hire him and we were not disappointed. Not only does he have a great personality he is extremely professional. We had such a hard time figuring out what songs we wanted, but Vince worked with us down to the last minute and everyone in our diverse group was up on the dance floor dancing. When it came to booking our DJ, we were both nervous about finding your typical loud-mouthed DJ that ran the show with raunchy jokes and bad music. Anyone planning a wedding knows how challenging and detailed it can be. Our wedding was on March 16, 2013.

Vince called and went over everything days before the wedding. Made me as a stressed out bride feel very confident and happy to have him working with us. Vince Portillo provided live band, DJ services and lighting at our wedding. He was always prompt with responses. As our wedding day neared, Portillo went out of the way to make sure that all details would be covered. The band learned new songs of our choosing, including a special version of a college fight song. Vince spoke with our vendors and caterers to make sure the proper power requirements would be met. Vince even researched and obtained a special microphone which was requested by my father in law.

On our special day, we could not have been happier with the whole band. They were professionally attired and all equipment was set up prior to guest arrival. Vince was a strong master of ceremonies. Vince had an extensive selection of music suitable for cocktails and dinner as well as dancing between the sets. The Gypsy Dolls were in great form. They mixed up the sets with a diverse selection of songs that pleased the older attendees as well as the twentysomething crowd. From "Brown Eyed Girl" to the Fall Out Boy version of "Beat it," the band played something for everyone in attendance. The band was also very flexible as certain formalities of the reception ran long.

One of our friends who produces major artists like Kelly Clarkson, Justin Beiber and Nelly Furtado remarked that our "wedding band" was the best he had ever seen. If you want background music at your wedding, the Gypsy Dolls are probably not for you. If you want your reception to be a joyous celebration of life and love reflected in music, then you cannot possibly go wrong with Portillo Productions and Gypsy Dolls.

Vince was an amazing DJ at our wedding on January 25,2014. Even months before the wedding, Vince was great about keeping us on track and ready for our wedding music(even though we were a bit tardy). While his DJ packet was a little large, he was very understanding and accommodating to our requests and blank spaces. For our wedding song, he made expert edits to keep it just how we wanted. For the event itself, Vince was very professional, very timely, and a lot of fun. Thank you so much for the great experience!

Vince is a great guy and DJ. He was wonderful to work with and played all the right music to keep our party dancing all night! And it was a long night of dancing!!!! We'd recommend Vince to DJ your event in a heartbeat. He's rates are lower than many other DJ services we saw out there, yet the service was by no means reflective of that.
