Where to even begin! The team at Pomegranate Occasions, especially our planner, Tawni, did the most amazing job with our October 2025 wedding in South Lake Tahoe. We worked with Tawni (and others from her team) for partial planning and coordinator services. Leading up to the wedding day, Tawni was extremely helpful in suggesting vendors, staying within our budget, and ensuring we had thought of every little detail for the entire wedding weekend, from the rehearsal all the way to day after brunch. She has many years of experience in the wedding world in the Tahoe area, so could provide us strong guidance throughout the whole planning process, and her many connections in the area help to communicate and work with vendors seamlessly. On the wedding day, Tawni and her team of assistants, servers, and bartenders surpassed our expectations completely. They went above and beyond to make sure the entire day went smoothly and I did not have to worry about a single thing, except enjoying the wedding day. The way she executed the entire event was incredible and I truly don't know what I would have done without her. -

We honestly cannot recommend Tawni and her team at Pomegranate Occasions enough. Tawni is the most amazing wedding planner in the world, she went above and beyond to deliver us the most beautiful and incredible day.
From start to finish we had total trust in her. Even when our venue pulled out 3 months before our wedding date (we had guests coming from all over the world), she was able to turn it around for us so quickly.
Tawni took the stress out of wedding planning and it was always a great moment speaking to vendors when we mentioned who our wedding planner was. They visibly relaxed and, without fail, told us how great she is - we couldn’t agree more!
We had the perfect wedding and would 100% recommend Tawni and Pomegranate Occasions to anyone who is planning a wedding in Tahoe. -

Our Wedding Coordinator Jillian was the most incredible person to help us as we planned and celebrated our wedding. Not only was she enthusiastic about our visions, she offered to reach out to vendors, take our family-stress off our plate the week of our wedding, and even ran to get ice. With her background as a florist, she also surprised us by sprucing up our altar with fresh flowers winding up the trees and vases leading up the steps! During our wedding she was everywhere at once - she seemed to be there exactly when we were about to ask someone a question, and she handled every one of our family members and friends with respect and kindness. One of the things that I will never forget, was when she texted me the morning of our wedding, a picture of my soon-to-be-husband and I kissing during our rehearsal. She reminded us to relax and remember what it was all about. Jillian is thoughtful, dedicated, and genuinely a fun person to spend a year with. We'll miss her, and we'll never forget how much she did for us to make our dream wedding go smoothly. -

There aren't enough kind words to say about our experience working with Angelina on our wedding in South Lake Tahoe this past August. From our first phone call, I knew she was someone that we could trust to bring our vision to life—not just someone who would push a rinse and repeat decor/style/flow because that's what's easiest. In the year we spent working together and planning for the big day, Angelina's deep industry knowledge and connections made the process easy (dare I say fun?) and even saved us money in the long run. I looked forward to our monthly phone calls to catch up and align on next steps as Angelina is an absolute joy to work with. On the week of our wedding, she went above and beyond to meet us for a decor pick-up so that we wouldn't have to worry about it later on. And, when the big day came, everything went beyond perfect all due in part to Angelina and her team. She is organized, flexible, approachable, and easy-going. Seriously, we had guest after guest come up to us and tell us it was the best wedding they've been to. If you're looking for a wedding planner in the Lake Tahoe area, we could not recommend Angelina more! -

Pomegranate Occasions is fantastic! Halle has a calm and positive vibe with great ideas and the patience of a saint! She handled all logistics and vendor communications. Her vendor recommendations were perfect and we had outstanding food, cake, flowers, decorations, photography - really everything! at our wedding. We also had a major snow storm the day before our event - and she still managed to make it through many feet of snow and crazy conditions. She also went out of her way to personally pick up rentals (days before our event) and return a couple of days later to help with returning rentals. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders when I knew that we had a professional working with us to make our event special. We will hire her again for any future special events! -

Angelina and her team were absolutely amazing to work with. The entire wedding process was so smooth. The wedding day itself was perfect. It was great to be able to get planning and rentals all in one. Angelina made my vision come to life. Everything and anything is planned to a tee. If you want stress-free wedding planning, you NEED to book them. I cannot thank you guys enough :) -

Love Pomegranate and Ivy!
Absolutely, positively, an amazing experience with Pomegranate! Ivy was our planner and she is simply amazing. I had a very skeptical fiancé (now husband). He didn’t think we needed a wedding planner. But during the reception, he confessed to me and to Ivy that he was so wrong. She is very communicative, punctual, and meticulous. Our wedding day was absolutely seamless and all the credit goes to Ivy. My only regret is not taking a picture with her. Thank you Ivy!!! -

Beautiful winter wonderland wedding!
I cannot say enough good things about Pomegranate Occasions! They helped us coordinate a small elopement ceremony in Lake Tahoe! For a very reasonable fee, our package included bridal hair/makeup, the photography, officiant, bouquet/boutanerie, finger desserts/ hot chocolate, light decor, the location fee etc. Our coordinator Cristen was amazing! She went ABOVE and beyond to make our day amazing. Our pictures are INCREDIBLE. We got a lot of snow that week, and she put in so much effort to get us extra heaters, benches, and the extra decor (little lanterns, roses in the snow, etc) were AMAZING. She did an amazing job handling the unpredictability of the snow. She made the whole processes super stress free and did a great job with all the vendors. They were TOP NOTCH. Highly recommend Pomegranate Occasions. They made our wedding beautiful and very stress-free. -

Wedding Rentals!
I used Pomegranate Occasions for some rentals and it turned out beautifully! I decided on the rentals a bit last minute but they were still able to provide the arch and some ceremony decor! They were very responsive to all my questions and were able to deliver, set-up, and take down without issue. They are very easy to work with and I would definitely recommend them! -

Working with Tawni and Allegra was so many layers of wonderful and the best thing we slotted for in our wedding budget. We were having a semi-destination wedding in Tahoe and thought it best to have someone in the area help facilitate the details since we wouldn’t be in town or know the local vendors. Our wedding was originally supposed to be in 2020 and so we had 6 months to plan and within the first couple sessions Tawni had already helped me book most of our main vendors. She provided me with lists of recommendations and allowed me to peruse profiles to see who would best fit our styles and atheistic. When the pandemic hit, it was an easy transition to postponing it for a year. Tawni contacted all of our vendors and obtained new contracts for the following year so I would not have to deal with the heartbreak. I picked up working with Allegra 6 months later and she was up to speed on our situation, aesthetic and hit the ground running with suggestions for locations of a rehearsal dinner spot, groom day of activities, and etc. They arranged tastings, hair and make up trials and venue tour. They were always open for communication and provided me with pros, cons, budget conscious decisions and accommodated my last minute additions. Allegra always took the time to respond to my many emails, texts and calls, all the while planning her own wedding that happened a month before mine. She was also my day of coordinator and everything went so smoothly, I was able to truly enjoy my day stress free. She took care of cleaning up details and even dropped off our belongings to our hotel the next morning. Even after the wedding, they followed up with a vendor we were not satisfied with and diligently worked on helping us obtain a refund. Truly both of them are miracle workers who I would work with again and again (but hopefully not for a second wedding). Thank you both truly for all of your time, patience and hard work and we’ll forever be indebted to you both for making our day as beautiful and wonderful as it was. -

Excellent!
We worked with Tawni at Pomegranate Occasions for her full planning services for our August wedding. Unfortunately due to COVID we had to postpone to 2021, and decided to do a small elopement this year with our immediate family. Tawni helped us pivot and plan this intimate affair as well.
Working with Tawni has taken away the stress and the unknowns of planning a wedding (or 2!) from the other side of the state. She has great connections and knowledge of the area and helped us make informed decisions throughout the process with her personal insight. From the beginning she asked great questions to understand what was important to us and to get a sense for our style. She utilized unique tools to keep us organized and manage the many to-sos into smaller, manageable chunks so that we could focus on each aspect in our regular phone calls.
During the week-of she was very communicative with us, our officiant and other vendors. Everything went smoothly day-of from arrival and our family was very comfortable and impressed with her and her colleague. Tawni is very down to earth, easy to work with and knowledgeable about the industry and the Tahoe area.
We highly recommend Pomegranate Occasions and are excited to continue working with Tawni for our larger 2021 event.
2021 update
After working with Tawni for almost 2 years, helping us postpone from 2020 to 2021, and plan a micro-ceremony in 2020, we finally got to have the wedding of our dreams this August. Tawni’s attention to detail, connections and relationships with other local vendors and the venue, and overall approach to planning and day-of coordination made our wedding a total success. It was as stress-free and enjoyable as possible with her running the show. I highly recommend her and her team for any event. She helped us stay on budget and still achieve the look and feel of what we wanted. Counting down the days until we can see the photos and relive the magic. -

Tawni did an absolutely AMAZING job! I was planning from out of state and she took care of everything. I can not recommend her enough. The day was just like we imagined it would be! I'm a wedding photographer myself, so I know everything that goes into planning and she was the best. She gave me so many options for all budgets and styles. Not to mentioned she is the kindest person. As someone in the wedding industry, I hope we get to work together soon! -

Professional, thoughtful, detail-oriented and a joy to work with
I cannot thank Tawni for all that she did for us, and would HIGHLY recommend hiring her. I first reached out to her at the beginning of the year -- I am in the Bay Area and I was hoping to work with a coordinator based in Tahoe who knew local vendors -- and after an extremely informative intro call, I really loved talking with her but needed to figure out other costs in my budget before I could move forward.
I was planning my wedding on a really accelerated timeline (just under 6 months) and at probably about 7 weeks out, realized I was in way over my head. On a desperate whim I reached back out to Tawni and miraculously, not only was she available, she was happy to work with my budget AND jump right in with probably 6 weeks to go. Tawni calmed me down with each call, gave sage advice, and had ideas and insights that I hadn’t come across in my months of Googling and Pinteresting. She worked fast, always made herself available, was a great problem-solver and ultimately was really a joy to talk to at every stage. I found myself calmed down after every call, and thinking how cool she was and how I wish we were friends outside of wedding planning!
On the day of the wedding, she worked her magic -- setting everything up perfectly (even expertly decorating my cake with loose flowers the florist handed over), making makeshift decorations on the fly with extra decor I provided her, and helping me fix my hair mid-reception when the wind had messed it up.
I am so grateful! The day was beautiful, and I have Tawni to thank for helping me cross the finish line, but also taking on all the things that inevitably would have fallen to my mom and bridesmaids. After our rehearsal, my husband, who has no concept of what goes into wedding planning and was initially unsure of what a coordinator even did, was admittedly impressed with Tawni and how she handled questions and problems that arose, and was really happy I ended up hiring her in the 11th hour. My bridal party and mom loved her as well. I cannot stress enough how great she was to work with.

She worked with me to help bring my vision of the perfect wedding alive! My wedding day was seemless with Tawni there making sure everything (and everyone!) ran smoothly.
