    Wedding ceremony and reception

    Missy who was our coordinator was amazing she went out of her way to make our day very special. Everyone that helped out and worked there are so nice and fun. This place rocks.

    I worked with Cassie to book my wedding and my fiance and I fell in love with the venue. The professional manner as well as the space and decor. We can't wait to have our wedding reception at Kelly Inn

    We had our wedding reception at the Best Western Kelly Inn. It was reasonable priced which is why we selected the location. I was a bit nervous about the reception location being so close to the lobby and about the Playhouse having a play that night, but things worked out fine.

    Susan is amazing! She is so organized and helpful! I would recommend this location simply because of her.

    The food was reasonably priced, especially compared to other reception locations. We received numerous compliments on the food. We were able to bring in a cake from another vendor which was great. They even cut and served the cake without any cake cutting fees.

    I will mention that the reception room is on the small size. We had around 175 guests and it was pretty tight. We liked the intimate feel, so it wasn't a problem for us.

    The hotel was great especially for familes, as there are 2 pools which are great for kids. The hotel rooms were clean and nice enough, but could use some updating for sure.

    Susan and the Green Mill staff were so awesome and made our day very special. I still am receiving compliments about the vendor and staff from family and friends. Susan was so prompt to reply on all questions. She was also very flexible given my family situation.

    Susan was a wonderful addition to the team for our wedding. She was very helpful, followed through with everything she said she would and it was nice to remove a lot of the little extras that they will provide! In my opinion she went above and beyond what her job was :) Thank you Susan!

    I was so greatful to find this location. The price was lower than other hotels in the area and all of the staff I encountered were wonderful! Susan, the contact person for green mill was so great and helpful. Since I didn't have an outrageous amount of stuff for the venue, they set it up for me the morning of the wedding. They were so helpful in the whole process and I knew I could go to Susan if there were any problems. Also, the Green Mill pasta was awesome and my guests loved it!

    We had the storm of the century, and susan was so flexabel about the last minute cancellations, and the staff was great about adjusting last minute requests. And in spite of everything else going wrong, I didn't have to worry about susan handling things on her end, she went above and beyond. I couldn't have asked for a better place to get married.

    Everything was great! I got tons of compliments on the food from the guests. The area was a perfect fit for our reception. And I enjoyed working with susan and tara on all the details. The idea of pizza later in the night was a terrific idea. The plymouth green mill banquet is a great price, none of those silly extra fees like corkage and cake serving.

    Tara and Susan from Green Mill Banquets and Catering provided great help and support for me while planning my wedding. They made sure everything ran smoothly for my reception and made sure every detail was taken care of. I couldn't have hoped for better service or value for my money. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to have their wedding reception!

    Susan and Tara were a Huge help. They exceeded our expectations by a mile. They were so easy to get along with and very helpful with decisions . I will recommend them to anyone getting married.

    Everything went according to plan. Tara and Susan sat down with me on many occasions to help out with getting my day perfect. They cordinated and directed all of my guests and gifts. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and supply me with any vendor information they had. The staff was wonderful. They made sure everyone had drinks and food on time and I didn't have to worry about anything. As a bride I would say they were just the greatest for making everything so easy. I would not change a thing about my reception, the food was wonderful.

    I had an excellent experience here. The hotel was accommodating, easy to work with, responsive, and refreshingly straightforward. They won't nickel and dime you for extra chairs, setup, teardown, etc. In fact, they'll take down everything for you - as the bride or groom, you just don't have to worry about it at all! It'll be in a pile for you in the morning. Everything went off without a hitch!

    Green Mill did a wonderful job and included everything from setting the tables, to cutting the cake. They also gave us free pizzas which we opted to get for those who helped set up rather than as a midnight snack. Everything tasted and looked great. Everyone was professional, on time and easy to work with.

    This venue was nearly perfect for my husband and I's wedding reception! Susan was very helpful, and very flexible. She allowed me to make all the decisions (and change my mind a dozen times), but she has done a lot of weddings, so she had a lot of advice for me when I got stuck on making a decision. We had an appetizer buffet, which was delicious, and perfect for our 175 guests. Although we didn't use this service, the staff was willing to serve cake and champagne to guests (they did cut the cake and have it out for guests to take by the buffet). We made our own centerpieces, but they had mirrored tiles and tea light votives available, which really made the tables look nice! My husband's parents hosted the grooms dinner here as well, which turned out great. They had a pasta buffet and mini desserts. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing. The flexibility of the whole thing made it so enjoyable and fun to plan.

    We enjoyed our wedding reception at the Best Western Kelly Inn. It was within our budget and Susan was very knowledgeable about her job. We did not realize that the gratuity would be such a large portion of our bill. This should be explained more clearly during meetings with Susan. Also, by putting the event date on this survey, anonymity is compromised.

    I want to apologize if there was any confusion regarding the gratuity added to the bill. We pride ourselves on being very upfront with all of our clients so I feel truly upset that I may have failed this couple in this regard. We do add 18%, which is standard in the industry and that is clearly stated on all of our materials and on our contract. I also let my couples know that I am able to put a bid together for them at any time during the process that itemizes all of the costs, including gratuity and taxes. Again, I am sorry if I didn't convey this clearly enough to this couple and will definitely use this feedback to make sure that I do a better job explaining this in the future.

    My husband and I met with Susan multiple times, and honestly had no problems until the day of our wedding. Before that she always responded to email and calls in a timely manner. Was also pleasant to meet with.
    On the day of our wedding though it was a different story. The couple who had their wedding on a Friday, the day before us, were allowed to sleep in and did not start cleaning up their wedding stuff until late morning. My mom and friends were unable to start fully decorating because of this even though we were guaranteed to be able to come in after 8am. I arrived at noon to make sure everything was going smoothly. The past wedding couple were still cleaning up their supplies, and apologized (I couldn't be upset with them as they were allowed to clean up later). I was talking to my mom and found that there were streamer and tape still stuck up on the walls and couldn't be reach. I told my mom they needed to be taken down and that's when Susan came in and with a attitude stated what needs to be taken down. I explained what I was talking about and she said someone would take care of it. My mom stated that none of their interactions with her had been pleasant that morning, and my mom was about to lose it on her. I told my mom I would deal with it, and talk to her. I went to her and asked about this mess on the floors and if there was a cleaning crew to come through. Susan stated that it had already been cleaned, and this was our mess. I told her their were peanut shells still on the floor of the main space and we did not have peanuts. Susan stated she would clean it up herself with an attitude. I told her appreciated her help and reached out to hug her and she stiffened and did nothing-it was extremely awkward and I was trying to make the best of the situation. I found out later that my photographer at 1pm had to remind Susan to sweep and vacuum as it still had never been done. Overall not the best wedding day service.

    I have a few comments about this review-I have given it a great deal of thought and the most important comment is that I feel very badly that I made one of my brides feel unhappy or uncomfortable on her special day. This wedding was over three months ago and while I don't agree with all of the details-we did have a Friday wedding but all of their items were in an adjacent room where the buffet is set up, so this group was able to start setting up the main ballroom at 8:00 am, the bride and her family were clearly stressed and I did tell the group more than once that the staff was arriving at 1:30 and that we would definitely have the room clean and ready to go (including redoing the floors after their set up in the ballroom and in the lobby after the Friday group removed all of their items) the most important point to me is that the bride and her family didn't feel I was helpful or accommodating the day of their event. I take that part of my job very seriously and I work all of our weddings because I feel that it is very important to make sure that such an important day goes off without a hitch. It sounds like I was the hitch that day -letting my fatigue from the previous day impact my attitude and enthusiam. I will definitely take this review to heart and make sure that I give each and every bride the best experience possible.
