Working with Sam was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. She helped us with choosing our location, working diligently with international vendors, and delivering the wedding of our dreams. Her expertise in organizing each step of the process combined with proactive, efficient communication provided peace of mind for me and my wife. We cannot recommend her enough for any type of wedding, she truly is the best! -

Working with Sam is the best thing you can do for your wedding day! I have collaborated with Sam on many weddings and she is one that I know and trust to have the wedding day all in order! She is so organized from the start of your wedding planning, through the wedding day, and after on the follow up! If you are looking for a wedding planner, look no further, Sam is the one! I wish I would have had her plan my wedding in 2018! -

The best wedding planner!
We had such a wonderful experience with Sam at Plus One Event Co. She was attentive, easy to work with, and professional! We honestly couldn't have ask for a better wedding planner to make our day the most amazing. She made the planning process fun and stress free. When I had questions, she always offered her insight. When I wanted recommendations for vendors, she had trusted ones she has worked with. In a world full of choices, I am so glad we chose Sam to make our wedding day better than I ever imagined. We absolutely recommend working with Plus One Event Co. without hesitation! -

Plus One Event Co, and specifically Samantha, have been absolutely incredible to work with during our wedding planning process. My wife had been recommended Plus One and we entrusted Sam with planning, guiding, coordinating, and executing our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. She delivered on those expectations above and beyond.
Samantha is thorough and thoughtful. During the ideating and planning phases, she was able to give us strong recommendations while consistently hearing out what our exact needs were. We were very intentional and particular about details, and Samantha managed every single one of them.
Sam coordinated efficiently and consistently with every vendor and venue, making communications and execution extremely easy on everyone. She provided firm timelines and was clear and confident in all of her feedback.
Additionally, Samantha brings an aura of professionalism, savviness and problem-solving that is seriously unmatched. My wife and I were able to enjoy every single second of our wedding day without needing to worry about a single thing that came up. Like I literally have no idea if anything did come up, because guess what, Sam 100p took care of it.
In closing, I HIGHLY recommend Samantha and Plus One Event Co for any party, soiree, wedding, event or occasion. -

As a wedding photographer it's always a joy when a couple says they have a planner to coordinate the day + I was SO happy to hear it was Sam with Plus One Event Co. I had been following her on social media well before finally working together and can't say enough great things about her! Her attention to detail, timelines and professionalism was unmatched and she truly cares about her couples. She took care of the timeline, coordination, set up and being sure our couple was totally stress free on their big day. (plus many more things I didn't see behind the scenes!!) Sam is in my recommended vendor guide for a reason, I can't wait to work with her again in the future! -

I recommend all my friends and family to work with Sam in planning their big day! She helped me seamlessly plan my wedding from across the country. I was overwhelmed at the beginning of the planning process, unsure of where to start - But Sam walked me through the entire process and was there to answer any questions morning or night. 10/10 would recommend! -

Sam is absolutely out of this world. She made our wedding planning experience simply amazing. She truly made us feel like we were her only clients the entire process. She responded to texts so quick, no matter what time of day. She kept us on track every single month for the entire year of planning with her. She told us what we should focus on and what we could save for later months. She helped us review contracts with our vendors and prepped us for calls on what types of questions we should ask and keep in mind. She attended meetings with us and she made sure we felt confident, reassured and most importantly excited for our big day! There are not enough words that can really express how grateful we are we chose Sam at Plus One Event Co. I will recommend her to all of our friends and family moving forward because our day would not have been half as amazing as it was if it wasn’t for Sam! She has amazing vision and she will truly make all of your wedding dreams come true. Sam is not only amazing leading up to the wedding but on the wedding day itself. It was so reassuring to have her to help coordinate and make sure the day ran smoothly. Even if there were unexpected bumps in the road that were out of her control, she handled them with grace and ease and made us feel confident everything would work out. It’s also a great bonus that Sam has been in the wedding industry for awhile now because she has great relationships with all different types of vendors. We knew if Sam recommended a company to us, we could trust them as much as we trust her! Her approval goes a long way. Sam, thank you again for absolutely everything! 10 STARS, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! What an absolute DREAM to have Sam from Plus One Event Co as our day of coordinator. SHE MADE MY DAY HAPPEN AS PLANNED!! And truly made my wedding day dreams come true!!!! With all the planning we did, it's true, I felt like a guest at my own wedding! From the initial appointment to the monthly meetings, she listened to my ideas and helped me bring them to life. She comes with a heart of gold, experience in the industry(which will help on any/and all decisions), VERY organization(even coming from me who is a Type A bride), incredibly creative and up to date with the trends(LOVED), and VERY responsive and reliable.Plus One Event Co.'s reply:

Sam at Plus One Event Co. made all of our wedding dreams come true. We booked her for Day-Of coordination, and she went above and beyond. She was meeting with us months before the wedding, helping us work through details we would've never thought of, and managing vendor contact/details. She ran the show both for the rehearsal and the actual wedding. I truly felt like a "guest at my own event" like their slogan says. Every time I remembered something that needed to be done, I looked up to realize Sam already had taken care of it flawlessly. This was the best investment we made for our wedding. -

If I could put 10 stars for Sam, I would. I honestly don't know what we would've done without her and her team on our special day. She is extremely organized and prompt with her timing and follow up with you. When first meeting with Sam about our wedding day I was extremely impressed with her outline of tasks and timeline for me to look at. I would have been lost without her. Day of our wedding went so smooth and everything transitioned so well, I was able to enjoy every second with my husband, family and friends and never had to worry about a thing. I highly recommend Sam for your special day. We will forever be so grateful that we had her. -

I am writing this review to inform you of the poor service my husband and I received on our wedding day. We chose Samantha, owner of Plus One Event Co., and her florist Sara, owner of The Buonasera Floral to plan our wedding and floral for our special day. I had a vision for my wedding day and I have dreamt about this day since I was a young girl like many brides do. We hired Sam and Sara for things to go smoothly on our wedding day and to help us through the planning process. As our wedding day came we were very saddened to see many things not done right and the way we had planned them. I felt many things were forgotten that we planned and talked about for months before and leading up to the wedding day. As the day went on, so did the list of things that went wrong. I was hopeful that my planner would notice these things as I felt she was a detail-oriented person.
When I tried to get a refund for the issues we had, I found Sam and Sara to be very defensive and difficult to work with. I felt they were extremely hard to communicate with in resolving these major issues. We tried many times to come to an agreement and I felt they weren’t treating me fairly and professionally as a client. This was especially hard because you would hope your wedding planner would be on your side and supportive in helping to resolve these issues.
Overall, I had a horrible experience with this planner and her florist. I felt they both were inexperienced and rude. I highly do not recommend Plus One Event Co. to any other brides, grooms and their families.

I am disappointed to see this unexpectedly negative review from your wedding on October 30, 2021. For a year we worked together to plan your celebration. As a friend through our husbands I provided my services at a discount, which I was happy to do as I was so excited for you and Charlie. I have countless messages during the planning process where you were complimentary of my services, thanking me for my help. I was willing to go above and beyond to assist you and Charlie, answering late-night texts, and taking calls while you knew I was on vacation with family. Sara, your florist, exuded plenty of patience and kindness during the planning process as well, allowing multiple proposal changes past her final due date, and accepting late payments without penalty. Your were married on a beautiful Fall day where I watched you dance for hours before you, your wedding party, and your family thanked me and complimented my work at the end of the evening. The day after your wedding I received texts from you and your husband specifically saying, “Sam you made the day SO SMOOTH! You are so good at what you do! It wouldn’t have been the same without your details and coordinating!“ (Megan) and, “Thanks Sam, you were freaking awesome. Everything went so smoothly. Where can we post some stellar reviews?” (Charlie).
The week following the wedding, concerns were raised about the floral services provided by Sara. As your planner, I did step in to mediate the situation. I soon realized, however, that the claims made about the floral services were inaccurate. I felt that you were bullying Sara into giving money back with constant threats to her business. When she offered you a settlement I advised you to take it because I thought it was a more than generous compromise to bring the situation to a close. You refused multiple offers, insisting that a full refund was warranted, and brought the case to court at the end of October 2022. Leading up to the trial, you refused to share photos from your wedding, which were contractually obligated to Sara and myself. I have emails stating you specifically asked your photographer to not share them with us. With the small quantity of photos found on social media, the claims made against Sara’s floral services were defended, and the judge awarded you $0.
I understand that you are disappointed in the floral outcome and ensuing trial, but to misrepresent my planning services on a public platform is incredibly damaging. Throughout our post-wedding conversations you insisted I did a great job, specifically writing on November 1, 2021, “I would recommend you to ANYBODY! One of the best wedding planners The Refuge said!” Your initial review on this platform contained specific claims that I proved to be false, so they required you to revise it. What is left is a culmination of negative blanket statements that cannot be proven. In your revised review, you added comments about me being rude to family and guests at your rehearsal dinner and wedding. This is an extremely disparaging comment intended to hurt, and I hope you understand the severity of your false claims.
Plus One Event Co. conducts business with much higher standards than this review indicates. As a wedding vendor and small business owner, I acknowledge the importance of these reviews, and know they mean so much to prospective clients. While I am sorry this is still upsetting to Megan, I am confident in how I handled the situation. To those reading this review, please know that I take my work very seriously. I act with my client’s best interest in mind, and will always be honest in my advice. I supported what I knew to be the truth, which ultimately a judge agreed with. I am happy to provide any of the messages referenced, which I know to be the real feedback on my planning services. I know that exceptional services were provided for this wedding and stand firmly behind that.
