In short: Hire Pasha and his team. It will be the best decision you make for your wedding hands down. He was so easy to work with, fun to hang out with during our wedding, and is truly talented in what he does. If you want artistic shots of memorable moments that you thought no one else saw, hire Pasha.
If you still need convincing, know that hiring Pasha for our wedding was by far the best decision we made. I have been to enough weddings to know that the photos usually are pretty standard. The photographer typically hides behind the scenes somewhere taking the photos they “should” be taking of the perfectly planned and curated moments throughout the day only emerging to take staged portrait shots in perfect lighting of the bride and groom and their family. The photos come out stiff, unnatural, and fake. Our photos from Pasha? Could not have been more different. Having Pasha as our photographer truly was an experience. Pasha and his brother Mark hung out with our wedding squad all day long and actually felt like they were part of our group. We joked with them, laughed with them, and felt so natural like we were just good friends. Our wedding party is still talking about how cool our photographers were because they really were such a memorable part of our day. “Who were those guys?! How did you find them?!” were typical questions we received from our friends. They never made anyone feel awkward, they came right in and immediately got to work, allowing us to enjoy the time with our friends, but also directing us slightly to ensure they got the best shots. Working with Pasha prior to our wedding was also extremely easy. We communicated a lot through Instagram, email and text and we even met in person to discuss our vision. I can honestly say that when I first talked with Pasha on the phone, I felt like he was even more excited for my wedding than I was! He was so genuinely happy to shoot our location (Block Island) and was willing to explore the island to find the perfect unique place for our wedding party shots (we settled on the Bluffs).
Now, let’s talk about the photos. Yes, we did get the necessary portraits with our families and the romantic solo shots of the two of us, but the magic of Pasha’s photos was evident in the candids he took throughout the day of all the special moments that happened that I thought no one else noticed. He captured our friends’ reactions when my husband and I first stepped out together after our first look, he captured my brother’s animated expressions during his off-the-cuff and hilariously inappropriate speech, and he even snapped a few photos of my family dog, Buckie, sitting front row at the wedding looking regal and attentive!
When my husband and I told Pasha that we wanted to take sunset pictures at an alpaca farm, he didn’t bat an eye at our outlandish request. He followed us down to the farm, only to discover the alpacas were nowhere to be found - only donkeys remained! We were a bit embarrassed at our idea but Pasha encouraged us by telling us the lighting was perfect so we twirled around, drank the champagne in our hands, and laughed as the donkeys around us ran in terror of my dress. Those are some of my favorite photos.
Every special moment was captured in such an artistic way, highlighting everything that made our wedding, well, ours. They feel so genuine and we are so grateful we can look back and see all the tears from unassuming family members during the ceremony, and the full belly laughs we shared when hanging out with our friends.
Thank you Pasha and team for everything! Our wedding is a day we will never forget. Everything was so perfect, and now we can look back and remember it forever!

Pasha and his team did not disappoint on our wedding day. We chose to have 2 shooters and a videographer for the day to make sure we did not miss any of the action. With unruly weather requiring some adjustments and accommodations, there seemed to be no wrinkles that would throw off the photography team. Having the picturesque Newport Vineyards as our backdrop allowed for some amazing shots in the vines with the changing lighting of the setting sun. Our guests had a blast in the photo booth provided by Pasha’s Team and Olga was able to provide the encouragement for any shy guests that needed to grab a prop and take the 3 silly photos.
Pasha was thorough and timely with all communication and the engagement photo shoot many months before. We highly recommend booking with Pasha and choosing the package that fits your needs! We couldn't have been happier with our decision. Thank you again Pasha & team!! -

Heather Sent on 11/20/2017The best decision I made for my wedding was choosing Plugovoy Photography. Pasha and Mark were incredible. Their style and attention to detail was all that I ever dreamed of. My bridal party still talks about how much fun they were to have around all day. One is likely going to use them for her wedding as well. They were patient yet remained on a schedule all day so we could ensure all photos that were needed were taken. We kept receiving sneak peeks after the wedding while we were in Greece on our honeymoon. It felt like Christmas! Once I received all of the images, I had immediate tears. Pasha’s photos are beyond professional and simply stunning. You can see his passion as clear as day through his photos. I cannot recommend Plugovoy Photography enough. They are incredible and not to mention extremely fair in pricing. I was shopping around and their prices versus others left me with my jaw dropped. You truly cannot go wrong.

Choosing vendors for your wedding can be stressful but Pasha made it easy! He was friendly, always answered and we trusted him right away! We just received the pictures from our wedding on 9/3/16 and we are IN LOVE with them. He is an extremely talented photographer! We had Pasha and his brother Mark shoot our wedding and the day could not have been more perfect. They were a fantastic team! They were calm, professional and extremely accommodating. Everyone was so pleased, my entire wedding party and family felt like they were a part of the family by the end of the night. We used Pasha for our engagement photos as well and it was one of the best decisions we made! I suggest doing an engagement session with him before your wedding! He listened to all of my requests and I cant believe how beautiful the pictures are. We are having such a hard time choosing pictures for our album because they are all so amazing! Look no further! YOU WILL NOT REGRET CHOOSING PLUGOVOY PHOTOGRAPHY. We cant thank you enough Pasha & Mark for so elegantly capturing our big day! We will cherish these photos for a lifetime :)

Kelly Sent on 11/08/2017Pasha (Plugovoy Photography) and his team (Mark and Oxana) were professional, sincere, articulate, punctual, fun and in general a pleasure to work with. Pasha was highly recommended to us by my husband's son and daughter-in-law who had also worked with Pasha for their wedding 2 years prior. Pasha himself was not available to shoot our wedding, but introduced us to his brother Mark who we immediately connected with and were excited to work with to record in pictures our special celebration of life and love and family and friends. We were also very pleased with our second photographer Oxana who was creative and wonderful to work with as well.
Pasha and his team are very artistic -- we especially appreciated how Mark and Oxana worked with us on so many candid shots that absolutely captured so many great moments and memories.
We would absolutely recommend Pasha and his team to do an amazing job for your wedding too!

Pasha seemed like he would have been great to work with. Unfortunately, my Fall 2020 wedding needed to be cancelled due to COVID-19. My fiancé and I needed to relocate due to the pandemic as well because he is a frontline healthcare worker.
My venue and almost all of my vendors refunded us our "non refundable" deposits - one was even $10,000! Other vendors gave half of the deposit back, understanding our loss and trying to negotiate an outcome that would be mutually beneficial.
We paid Pasha a "non refundable" deposit which was close to $1,400. Pasha refused to refund our deposit or offer even a partial refund. Emails were not returned, and his tone was offensive - explaining that deposits are non refundable so that couples do not "back out of the contract". A global pandemic forcing a wedding cancellation is not "backing out".
This is a poor business model, especially given the current pandemic climate and dealing with weddings. I have already told all of my Boston friends who are looking for a wedding photographer to avoid this greedy and shady business! Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life - don't trust it in the hands of this guy who has made it clear that his primary interest is only money.
Also - to make it clear, there was no work done on his part to necessitate this almost $1,400 fee. We had a handful of brief phone conversations and exchange of text messages/emails. We did not meet in person, he never saw our venue or did any sort of walk through. Don't let my loss become yours next!
