My husband and I used this company for our wedding DJ last month. I must say that DJ Johnny was the BEST!!! He did a fantastic job and gave us the perfect dance party at our reception. He was very professional, played all of the songs we requested, and was on top of the timeline and kept us in the loop the entire night. If you need a DJ make sure to request Johnny!

My new husband and I simply could not be more pleased with our experience with Platinum Day Entertainment! Aaron, our DJ, was so personable and he is just so excellent at what he does. He made sure that our night flowed perfectly and helped us create a flawless timeline for the evening. He incorporated all of our desired songs and created our ideal atmosphere. He even kept the crowd on their feet with hilarious touches! We feel so lucky to have met him and will never forget the impact he made on our big day! We highly recommend Platinum Day, you won't be disappointed!

I got married in June and used Platinum Day Entertainment for my DJ services. DJ Johnny was great! He definitely knows how to get a crowd going. I would reccomend using them to anyone! My guests had a blast! Thank you, DJ Johnny!

I must HIGHLY recommend DJ Johnny. I couldn't have been more impressed with him! He was like the Ryan Seacrest of my wedding. He was very thorough with me when it came to organizing my ceremony and reception and made sure that all the music and events on my wishlist came true and happened on time. He also had great ideas for games and line dances and even showed us how to do a couple of them. He really loves music and what he does and it shows in his work. Thank you so much for helping make my day so very special. It wouldn't have been the same without you :)

My husband and I were just married last weekend and have nothing but AMAZING things to say about DJ Johnny! We were married at Starfire Golf Club in Scottsdale, and Johnny was so phenomenal during both the ceremony and reception. The guests raved about the music, and we were so thrilled that everyone was dancing and having a blast literally all night long. Johnny's personality was so fun, and he knew just what he needed to do to get the crowd involved. We truly feel our day went as smoothly as it did because of our group of fantastic vendors, Johnny being one of them! He helped everything run so smoothly, and more importantly our guests had the best time ever. THANK YOU! :)

We were so pleased with DJ Johnny and how he performed at our wedding at Cozy Weddings. He met with us ahead of time, communicated regularly, and was a true professional. He did everything we asked, and has been doing this so long that he knows how to read the crowd and play the right music. Great DJ voice. I would highly recommend him. Our last name is not easy to pronounce, and he said it right every time. Thank you Johnny at Platinum Entertainment!

Awesome DJ... we were not sure that we wanted to play any games at our wedding and decided to do a few based on the suggestions of our DJ (Patrick). They were a blast and our guests had so much fun. Nothing but great things to say!

DJ Damien was great! He was our DJ for our wedding in May 2014 at Cozy Weddings of Gilbert. He met with us prior to the wedding and did a wonderful job getting to know who we were and things about us that would make the evening special. He did a great job with the ceremony music and the reception music. We had a smaller wedding and that can sometimes be difficult to keep the party going but Damien did a great job and kept the night fun and entertaining for everyone. He was very professional and fun to work with. Thank you Damien for everything!!!

We used Platinum Day entertainment for our wedding reception on 1/25/14. They provided our DJ & photo booth for our special day. We had eloped in November to wine country & wanted to celebrate with family & friends after the holidays here in AZ. Our reception was held at the best man's home, & we had DJ Damien provided to us by Platinum Day. It was a pleasure to work with such a talented DJ & essentially host for our party. He met with us prior to the event & went over everything with us. He played all of our music & took everything we said into consideration. He had fun wedding games to keep the crowd entertained & helped make the entire reception run smoothly. He went above & beyond with the lighting that was included in our package and was early to our event to make sure everything was set up perfect. His personality really shined with our guests, & my husband and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. The owner of Platinum Day, DJ Patrick, was extremely helpful with meeting our budget & really worked with us in every area. He also provided us with a photo booth for a couple hours & still kept the total price within our budget. I checked with several other music vendors, & no one could beat his price for the amount of hours we needed with the addition of the photo booth. And in this case it was not a matter of getting what you paid for. They exceeded our expectations, & we highly recommend anyone needing a DJ and/or photo booth for a great price with great service.

DJ Patrick gave me an awesome price right off the bat, he is the owner I met with. DJ Damien worked my wedding and he was AWESOME. Everybody loved his personality. The best part was my wedding was running way behind because we were goofing off taking photos and Damien had a solution for everything. Really I was able to sit back and enjoy the moment while Damien ran everything time wise. Oh and I seriously seriously loved the photo booth. I asked Patrick to add it last second and he made it happen and I am so glad I did that. It is so cute and funny, all my loved ones being silly, the album you get is one of my most treasured things ever.

Platinum Day Entertainment supplied the dj and photo booth at my wedding. Patrick did a great job at helping us prepare for the big day. He was very responsive whenever we emailed with questions or concerns. He kept our guests entertainment throughout the night. My main goal at my wedding was to just dance and he made that happen. The photo booth was packed all night, our guest loved it!!!

We had DJ Johnny as a DJ for our wedding on the 29th. He was absolutely the best! He got out there with the crowd and taught us line dances which were a blast. He was flexible, playing exactly what we wanted to hear. He contacted me several times prior to the event to make sure that we had all questions answered and everything was set in stone as to a way to make our day shine. He brought his wife Lauren as well to ensure that we had someone always available if anything was needed. I cannot more highly recommend that you hire them for your special day. They both were a blessing for a stress-free, fun party that was handled with care!

My husband and I planned our wedding from our of town and only made a two trips to Arizona during the planning process so was limited on when we can meet our venders.. DJ Johnny was very flexible, even meeting us when him and his family was under the weather. We really appreciate his dedication. Our email and phone communication with him was very easy. He meet all our request and was there at the event early. He was a great and fun DJ. We didn't think anyone was going to dance but by the end of the night almost everyone did. He made the night fun relaxing and looked good doing it. Very professional! Definitely recommend! The price was fair too! Can't beat that! :)

We were married on 11/11/12 and had DJ Johnny and a photobooth for the ceremony and reception. DJ Johnny was AMAZING! We had everything planned out at the rehearsal and then just told him how we wanted it when he arrived the day of. The photobooth was a HUGE hit with all of our guests. We had so so many compliments on the DJ- everyone said he was so involved in making sure that everyone was having a good time and everyone was dancing until the wedding ended. We would recommend Platinum Day and DJ Johnny to anyone!

Our planned DJ bailed last minute, leaving us in a time crunch to hire someone new for our wedding. With six weeks out, I scrambled. Luckily, I found out about Platinum Entertainment, and explained the position my fiancé and I were in.

The owner of this company was very helpful, and said he had one DJ available for our wedding date. Johnny turned out to be excellent! He was quick to respond to any questions I had, met with me ahead of time to go over details, and was very understanding of any requests we had (like no group or cheesy dancing etc). He played a mix of his stuff, and the I Pad playlist my fiancé and I had made for the dinner hour. The reception turned out wonderful, and we found ourselves very pleased to see that our guests were up there dancing, fully enjoying themselves. He played requests, and yet still remained highly professional in mind of the few young children who attended. Our guests loved him, and the music!

DJ Damien was our DJ for our April 21, 2012 at Fiesta Fountains. He was amazing in every aspect possible. He went above and beyond to make every detail memorable. We would highly recommend Platinum Day Entertainment.

we used platinum day entertainment for our up lighting, lighted monogram, and photobooth!

WOW! everything was perfect. Patrick and team really helped make our day very special.

Thankfully Patrick works fast, and all of our requests taken care of in about 5 days!

the Photobooth was a BLAST and i highly recommend this for your wedding, you will NOT regret it.

The uplighting (blue) helped transform the venue into EXACTLY what we were hoping for

the monogram gobo we created looked AMAZING on the wall all night!

Patrick let me start off by saying you were absolutely right - the DJ does make the night! We booked Platinum Day Entertainment after seeing them at a bridal show we attended. DJ Johnny was very professional and even offered to play our ceremony music for us. I found out 3 1/2 months before my wedding that my band wasn't going to be able to play...so I had to find a DJ. I was referred to 2 different companies, however, DJ Patrick was the first to respond. He responded to all of my emails very quickly. Prior to this, my Aunt had purchased a book for me at the bridal expo..it was a book on receptions, DJ's, & tips on how to have a memorable wedding. Peter Mary was the author, & after meeting him at the expo, I became an instant fan. I read the book prior to my initial meeting with DJ Patrick, & felt I was prepared to let him know what I wanted. I came to find out that DJ Patrick was a huge fan of the book as well & from that point on, we were very in sync with how we wanted the flow of things to go. DJ Patrick got every song ( & I had a complicated list!) His timing was perfect, he kept everything & I mean everything on track. I have never seen so many guests up on the dance floor and involved! We were complemented on how great the music was, the games, and the dance choices. We were so fortunate to find DJ Patrick! He is what helped take our wedding to the next level!! Thank you!!!

Patrick was our DJ and he did a wonderful job. He even found the song we wanted for our first dance. He was able to gage our guest reactions and made sure they all had a good time. He made our special day one that I will never forget.

Aaron immediately responded to each and every 100 questions and concerns from start to finish. He orchestrated the night flawlessly and eveybody had a fabulous time. Numerous people including staff said it was the best wedding they've ever been to because of the laughs and energy. The Who Game was a BIG hit as well as the singing tables and garter toss. I will reccomend Aaron to anybody who ever asks me for a DJ. The cost was low compared to other DJs and the quality far surpassed other DJs. He brought some blue lighting and completely turned the green curtains on stage blue - our wedding color. Than you Thank you!

I was incredibly pleased with the DJ services that were provided at my wedding reception. The DJ was prompt, dressed and behaved professionally, and was very enthusiastic about the DJing the reception. They work exceptionally well with the Bride and Groom to tailor the mood to whatever you like. The come with lots of suggestions for fun games/dances to get everyone out the dance floor and listen to what you would like to have done. Overall the service is a 5 out of 5 and I would use their services again for other events besides weddings if they do them. I wanted my wedding reception to be funfilled, and I can't count the number of attendees that have told me that our reception was the most enjoyable/fun wedding reception they have ever been too! I give the credit for that to the phenomenal job done by Shenendoah Mills! Thanks guys!

We had Aaron Murphy as our DJ for our wedding on 11/14/09. I cannot express enough how awesome of a DJ he is! During our preparations for the wedding he was always responsive and helpful. He had a lot of great ideas on what songs to use and what activities to do thoughout the reception. We received so many comments on Aaron the night of the wedding and how he was the best DJ our guests have ever heard!I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Aaron for making our night so memorable!

Patrick was wonderful! We had so many people tell us that this was the best wedding reception they had ever been too. Patrick involved the guests and made it fun for everyone. We had people coming up to us asking for his information so they could hire him for their wedding reception. My daughter came up to me at the end of the night, gave me a big hug and told me that her reception was better than she had even imagined it would be. Patrick is very reasonable and he is great to work with. I highly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

Patrick made our wedding very fun, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Patrick knew exactly how to entertain the guest while we took pictures and got ready for the grand entrance, he also knew how to keep the party going! We loved Patrick!!

Aaron made our wedding night a blast!! We had a large group of family and friends and I really didn't know what to expect from them. Aaron got them invovled from the minute they landed in their seats and then kept them up and out of it after dinner all the way until the end of the night! I am still getting emails and calls from my family saying how it was the best wedding they had ever been to! It reminded them of a good ol back East wedding. I was recommened to use Shenandoah Mill DJ by a friend and I will continue to spread the word!!

He made my wedding very fun, every one seemed to enjoy themselves. He did seem to favor country music with I don't really love but I didn't really tell him that. So that is only my own fault. Every thing that I did mention to him he was very good about producing! I loved it

Aaron was a extremely knowledgeable DJ and was able to help us plan the timing of when certain things should happen during the reception. He was also very accommodating with last minute changes and able to meet our musical needs. He knew how to keep the dance floor active and full of energy.

Patrick did a great job of keeping our guests entertained, and making our reception a great time. We had some shy guests and he managedt to get everybody involved. He will have you fill out a list of songs you want, bring an extra copy to the reception in case you need to give him another copy (I think he may not have had ours with him) but he still managed to remember most of what we had requested. He was fun and we got a lot of compliments from our guests. Patrick did a great job.

Patrick was our DJ for our wedding. We found him through the enue, Shenandoah Mill, which his family owns. He was easy to work with and did a great job of playing the songs we requested, and a good selection of the types of music we wanted. And, he didnt play the few songs that I absolutely did not want played! Guests loved him, and he really was good entertainment! We had a little issue with having to pay for a couple extra hours, because we initially only werw going to have him DJ for 5 hours, starting after dinner, and we were going to ipod the music before the ceremony, throughout the ceremony, and up until dinner..but, he said no one from outside could use their sound system. So, we ended up having to pay for 2 extra hours to cover music for our cerwmony and everything. But, overall, he was awesome and it was a great wedding!!

We booked pat two weeks before the wedding he got together with us twice. established our play list. was the life of the party at our wedding and took small details he knew about us to really add magic to our cerimony. Our DJ was Damien. For the most part we were very happy with him. He was on time and kept us on schedule. He was hard to understand at times on the mic mainly because he stood to close to it and played some random music. The music was in part our fault because we gave him no true direction on what we wanted. But overall he did a great job and I would recommend him and platinum day! I would also recommend the photo booth which was a hit at our wedding.

Extraordinary!!!!!!! If you want to have a wonderful time Patrick is your man. He blew us away with his talent. Patrick was fun that?s what I wanted; but he is very unorganized. Minutes before I was to walk down the isle he asked me again what my songs where. ARE YOU KIDDING ME I AM SUPPOSED TO REMEMBER THAT!!!! Then he played my do not play song. Babies got back has no place at a wedding. But people loved his games and they danced all night long.

We contracted services for both a DJ and a photobooth from Platinum Day. We had selected a DJ and felt comfortable with who would be DJ'ing our event, then we received a phone call about a month before the wedding to let us know the DJ was had agreed to would not be able to DJ our wedding due to a family commitment. The owner worked with us to replace the DJ or offered us our deposit back if we did not feel comfortable with the new DJ. We met the DJ and decided to stay with Platinum Day. The DJ was nice and did a good job, but he was a bit green, but the night went smoothly for the most part. The photobooth was a big hit and we were super impressed by the quality of the photos. The guests had a great time with the photobooth. If you're questioning whether to book the photobooth or not...it's well worth it!

Patrick was a great DJ. You can definitely tell that this is what we enjoys doing most out of the entire wedding and event process. We had a small group and he was able to keep a nice mix of music to ensure there was always a group of people out on the dance floor. There were a few award moments at the beginning of our reception when we recommended that he not do something, then he went ahead and did it anyways but that was minor and didn't have any impact on the evening itself. We also had the photobooth services which everyone loved. They didn't get very creative with placing the photo strips in the keepsake book but we plan on cutting the photos out of the pages and adding them to a scrapbook to give them more presentation.

Extremely Disappointing! posted 4/6/2011
We booked with Platinum Day in June for our March wedding after meeting them at a bridal expo. Two weeks before our wedding we were contacted by the owner DJ Patrick because there had been some mix-up and we were not getting the DJ we had originally booked. I don't know exactly what the mix-up was or why another party got priority over ours especially because we booked so far in advance but for some reason we were given another dj that had far less experience than the one we had originally booked. They did say they wanted to compensate us for the switch and to let the new dj know what we wanted when we met with him. The only thing we asked for was lapel microphones for the groom and officiant for the ceremony. This is something we were told would be included but each dj has their own equipment and the new dj didn't have any so really we were only asking for what we had already been promised it wasn't much compensation. That being said, we STILL didn't have the lapel microphones for the ceremony. I was the bride and was busy with other things so I'm not sure what happened with that I just know we didn't get them even though they were promised. Then during our meeting we had specifically said "this music is very important to us" referring to the prelude and processional music. And of course, not one of our prelude songs was played. My husband's name is Lex, it is different but not very difficult to say. The dj could NOT get it right. It got to the point that his brother got pissed off and went up and told the dj to stop butchering his name and just call him the groom. My parents spent literally thousands of dollars on dancing lessons so that we could have a choreographed first dance. The dj decided to start the song in the middle of the song instead of the beginning which threw the whole choreography off. My parents were so disappointed. After the first dance I was to give a toast, again we went over all of this during our meeting and I provided a typed timeline and playlist, so I'm not sure how it could get lost in translation but it did. The wedding planner had to tell the dj "the bride's doing a toast (aka give her the microphone)" instead he went "yeah to the bride and groom whoo". I had to go up to him and actually grab the microphone out of his hand. We had provided a playlist of specific songs for both the dinner and reception. He didn't follow it at all. We asked for rat pack music and classic rock for dinner and got crap r&b you couldn't pay us to listen to. Oh but that's right we had to pay them. There was also supposed to be a final dance which never got played. I spent hours putting together the right combination of music and they ruined all of that hard work by not being prepared or concientious. It was like the meeting we had with the dj never took place. And he was a terrible MC too. I feel like we would have been better off (and have more money) if we had just used an ipod.

Inflexible and not helpful

My husband and I had a very bad experience with Patrick. We had a very small and very laid back wedding and 90% of the stress that I experienced planning this wedding was due to working with Patrick. He was not flexible on scheduling our final walkthrough 60 days before the wedding. We were unable to make any of the times he offered as we live 2 1/2 hours away. Finally, after much begging, he agreed to do it over the phone. The morning of our scheduled call rolls around and my husband tries to call him. No answer. He calls two more times; still no answer. It took four tries for him to pick up and then ask "Where are you guys?". We had it in writing that this was to be an over-the-phone meeting and he was waiting for us to show up.
After that, things just got ridiculous. I got radio silence from him every time I tried to reach out with a question. It got to the point where my parents had to physically go to the venue and sit him down and ask my questions and get extra charges he had added onto our bill without my consent taken off.
Then comes the week of the wedding. 3 days before the wedding I get an email from him saying that he "tried playing [the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to] with no luck- bummed." BUMMED. He didn't even try to offer a solution or ask if he could do anything; just sent me into a panic mere days before the wedding. You can ask anyone involved in my wedding, this was the only thing I stressed about before the day of.
Then comes the wedding day itself. Ceremony (remarkably) goes off without a hitch. But the reception had issues, all thanks to Patrick. First, the bridal party had it sprung on us that we were doing a dancing entrance that we did not request.
Second, we specifically told him numerous times that we would not be doing a garter toss, but he still had it on the reception timeline. My husband had to go speak with him and make sure he wasn't going to cue a garter toss.
After that, we had three people lined up to give speeches during the toasts section of our reception and had specifically told him that we were opting out of giving a speech ourselves as we both have rather bad anxiety about public speaking and being the center of attention. But what does Patrick do? After the last scheduled speech, he walks up to me in front of all the seated guests and says "your turn". I was and still am positively livid. It is not mandatory for the bride and groom to give a speech and forcing two individuals with horrible anxiety to speak in front of a room of people is just cruel.
Every interaction I had with him over the course of planning and the day of the wedding left a bitter taste in my mouth. What was the point of the final walk-through where we went over all the details of the reception if he wasn't going to listen to our requests at all?
Patrick is also the owner of Shenandoah Mill, the venue out of which he does most of his work. The venue itself is gorgeous and I highly recommend it. However, if they offer you the "full service" package. Don't purchase it. It includes DJ, florist, photographer, and venue. And none of that is worth the money they're asking for it and Patrick will make you miserable. Learn from us and book a DJ that won't screw you over.
