Best pizza party ever!

We worked with Pizzeria Moto for our rehearsal dinner in June 2025 and highly recommend them! The booking process was smooth, and everything was communicated clearly and professionally. On the big day, Jay and his team arrived early to fire up the oven and set up a welcoming spread. They provided great customer service and kept the buffet line stocked with fresh pies throughout the evening. The pizza was delicious, with good variety and excellent sides. The prices were extremely reasonable given the quality of the food and the level of personalized service. Jay was flexible and worked within our venue requirements to make the night run smoothly, continuing even when it started pouring rain. We truly appreciate the extra effort and hope to have them again for our next special event!

Welcome Dinner Brick Oven Style

We had a fantastic experience with the Pizza Moto onsite brick oven pizza catering! We were organizing a Welcome Dinner for the Night before my daughter's wedding. To make things a bit more budget friendly we decided to host the event at our accomodations. Not being from the area we were lucky enough to find Jay! The team arrived early to set up the oven and prepare the serving area, ensuring everything was ready to go on time. The pizzas were absolutely delicious and a big hit with all our guests — the White Pie, Italian Sprout, and Sophia were standout favorites. Guests appreciated the variety and quality, and the leftovers didn’t go to waste — they were just as tasty the next day. Thank you for the smooth setup and warm hospitality!

Jay catered out event at our home, and the experience was amazing! He was very flexible and easy to work with (even throwing together a custom pizza on the fly to accommodate one of the children at the party in addition to offering to customize any menu items/make signature ones) and the food was INCREDIBLE. Our guests raved about it all night! Pricing is also very fair, and included the pizzas, a salad, and we opted to add on non-alcoholic beverages for an additional fee. I can’t recommend Pizzeria Moto enough— we’d gladly hire them for another event again!

Perfect for rehearsal dinner!!!

Jay and his team are awesome! They were very professional and friendly - they set up early enough so there was plenty of time for them to get things going. The food was absolutely amazing, I still have people that attended our rehearsal dinner telling me that they absolutely loved the appetizers and pizza. Would highly recommend!

The Highlight of Our End of Season Party

We had Jay/Pizzeria Moto out to cater and end of season party for a baseball team. It was the highlight of party and a great way to show appreciation to everyone who helped pull our season off and honor our graduating players. Jay arrived on time... made some truly awesome pies... and then cleaned up/rolled out and left everything in better shape then when he found it.

Can't wait to have him/pizzeria moto out to our next special event (wedding, grad/christmas/birthday/anniversary party or just for the heck of it).

Amazing pizza and people!

Jay catered a birthday celebration for is and the za was a huge hit! Made from scratch and cooked on site in a super cool mobile woodfired oven. Jay is also very attentive, funny and def loves what he does. His personal touches are what make Pizzeria Moto's catering the best!!

Delicious Pizza!

We hired Pizzeria Moto to cater our wedding welcome dinner and working with them was such a pleasure! They clearly planned ahead and arrived early, which we really appreciated considering our event was in a rural area with the potential to get lost on backroads. Tyler is also easy going and made the event so much less stressful. We had zero concerns with our guests getting fed and Pizzeria Moto had a great rhythm getting the pizzas out of the oven. We were not able to try the pizza beforehand which we knew was a risk, but we have absolutely no regrets. The pizza was SO delicious and we will definitely be watching their Instagram for any public events they may have where we can get another slice. Even our guests from New Jersey were impressed with how delicious everything was!

Best Wedding Dinner Choice Ever!

Our guests are still raving about the pizza that we served at our wedding, and many of them were jealous that they hadn't thought of doing something similar at theirs. Not only was Pizzeria MOTO a fantastic selection for the quality of the food, but their brick pizza oven and set up make a great backdrop for photographs. Not only were Tyler and his team great to work with the day of the wedding, they were also able to keep smiles on their faces as they prepared the appetizers and pizzas in the rain given the near hurricane conditions. They were extremely flexible the week in the runup to the wedding, when it looked like we might have to reschedule due to the storm (thankfully, we didn't have to, but we were grateful for their flexibility and creativity in figuring a way to make it work). Tyler was very responsive throughout our planning process, and even came through, finding a gluten free AND vegan crust option for several guests who had sensitivities to both. If you're even toying with the idea of serving pizza at your wedding, don't hesitate. The pies were actually still piping hot when guests got their food, which I've never experienced in a buffet service at a wedding before. And trust me, your guests will thank you!

Pizzeria Moto catered our recent wedding and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about them! They were so very easy to book and contact leading up to the day, on the day they were able to set up and start service with minimal input (which was so nice with how many other things we had going on!) and all of our guests LOVED the food! Seriously, people were stopping us all night to say how good it was. Plus, they just kept making food until our guests were full! Even though we're coming up on our one year anniversary, I had to write a review of PM because I still think about the food. Pizzeria Moto served our 130 guests for our October wedding, and did an incredible job. There was plenty of pizza for everyone, and they were kind enough to work around our dietary restrictions (which included a few gluten free guests [myself included] and a dairy free groom). Given our restrictions, friends thought we were crazy, but Tyler and Jay supplied as many gluten free crusts as needed, and put together a garlic pizza for my husband. The fresh green salad was a nice complement to the pizza, and the appetizers (wood fired asparagus, marinated olives, bruschetta, sausage stuffed mushrooms, etc.) were a hit! I only wish we had asked someone to save some appetizers for us, as we didn't make it to the cocktail hour to enjoy them ourselves. Our guests loved watching Pizzeria Moto work during the cocktail hour, and they displayed everything really tastefully. One guest even said it was just like the pizza they had on a recent trip to Italy. Our parents were concerned about the informal nature of pizza, but everyone agreed it was fabulous. Best of all, the price was much more affordable than the other options we were looking at, while not compromising quality. We recommend PM to all of our friends!

We used pizzeria moto for our rehearsal dinner. They were great to work with and willing to go all the way to Luray, VA for our rehearsal dinner. Tyler was very accommodating and professional and the wood-fired pizza oven was fun. The pizza was delicious and a hit with our guests. We recommend the white pizza!

We had a very laid back wedding and reception at a barn on park land. The site didn't have a full kitchen so when we were looking for caterers we loved the idea of Pizzeria MOTO being able to cook all the food fresh on site. We also loved the idea of having something different than most other weddings. And who doesn't love pizza?! The food was great. Everyone loved the appetizers and pizza. We made sure one of our friends brought us a plate of the apps before our pics so that we wouldn't miss out on them! We also felt like the price was very reasonable. Given the quality of the food, Pizzeria MOTO is a great value. Jay was very easy to work with and always responsive.

If you are tired of the traditional over-done feel of weddings or rehearsal dinners, Pizzeria MOTO is a great choice. We held our rehearsal dinner in a funky space in Culpeper and the pizza truck set up right outside. We were looking for food that was fresh, earthy and delicious. They hit all three and on top of it were a pleasure to work with. I would use them again for any event indoors or out.

Man, where to even start. From our first tasting to our wedding day itself, working with Jay was nothing short of a pleasure.

The food was incredible. The apps and sides were great, and of course the pizza was beyond awesome. Whenever the topic of our wedding comes up, the excellence of the food is without failure the first thing our guests recall.

Beyond that, the service we got from Jay and his staff was a game changer. Leading up to the event, working with Jay was simple, clear, and concise. I never had a hard time getting a hold of him (be it via phone, text, or email) and every time we spoke I came away at ease and with all of my questions clearly answered.

I remember worrying about a lot of things the day of my wedding, but the food was emphatically NOT one of them. The whole day Jay's team was on top of things, making sure my wife and I got served and that the guests ate their fill. And then there were smaller, more personal touches that nobody saw other than my wife and me, but personal touches that showed an attention to detail that blew away all of our expectations and meant a great deal to us. I expected good food from my caterer; what I didn't expect was a level of personal and professional service that months later still recalls the warmth and happiness of that day in miniature.

Not only was this the best pizza I've ever had, it was far-and-away the best customer service I've ever received. My recommendation that you use Jay and Pizzeria Moto to cater your wedding could not be any higher.

Jay and his crew at Pizzeria Moto went above and beyond for our wedding this past May to make it such a special experience!

Jay was very communicative and on top of all our contract work and menu items. The pizza and appetizers prepared by Pizzeria Moto for the wedding were DELICIOUS! The Pizzeria Moto staff were very receptive to our ideas and extremely professional throughout the process. Everyone LOVED having fresh pizza and wood-fired appetizers at our wedding. I still crave the bruschetta and Rosa pizza :).

Jay was also starting Wild Hare Cider at the time and previewed some of the tasty ciders at our wedding, such a hit! We highly recommend purchasing some of the Wild Hare Ciders as well for your event (or visiting the cidery in Bluemont Virginia)!

When looking for a caterer for our wedding, we wanted something innovative and different. We wanted something other than the traditional beef and chicken wedding menu. Pizzeria MOTO provided a unique menu that fit our rustic wedding venue and exceeded our expectations. Not only was Jay extremely easy to work with, he delivered excellent service, and he adapted to weather conditions that ended up not being so favorable for our reception which was originally planned outdoors. Jay’s work ethics translated to not only the quality of the food but to our guest’s enjoyment. We highly recommend Pizzeria Moto as a caterer. We had Jay provide the food for our rehearsal dinner, and he exceeded our expectations. We were looking for a caterer who could provide food in a laid-back setting, but we didn’t want to sacrifice food quality by having food delivered from a caterer or take out. Pizzeria moto was recommended to us, and our experience with him was perfect before and during our event. We had a delicious salad, wood-fired olives, and italian-style pizza cooked right on site - everyone loved the food and the experience of seeing the food prepared right before them. You could tell the food was fresh and quality because you could tell in the taste. The pizza crust was incredible and they had a terrific list of menu options to chose from that made our decision difficult, but we were very happy in the end nonetheless. During the initial meetings, Jay let the food and his style speak for itself - I never felt a sense of salesmanship, and he was more than accommodating as our numbers changed and as we coordinated menus closer to the day of the event. I was initially concerned that the open ended-ness of the style in which he served food as long as people were eating would mean that guests may still be hungry if he quit too soon - but it was the opposite. Jay kept serving great food until all had made several trips, and he cooked and packed more pizza to go. The food was fresh and delicious, the setup was clean and pretty, and Jay and his assistant were friendly, professional, and arrived at the site early to set up. I am happy to recommend Pizzeria Moto to anyone looking for a unique, delicious, and fun catering experience, especially if you will incorporate him into your wedding. Choosing Jay will be a choice that will make your life easier and your guests happy.

Jay catered for our wedding. The food was amazing. Jay was a pleasure to work with and made the day simple and enjoyable. People will always remember the food you had at your wedding. We used Jay and his team for our outdoor wedding reception in Leesburg, VA this fall and were more than happy with the way things turned out! While we initially had concerns about Pizzeria Moto being able to feed 200+ people in an hours time, Jay and his team were able to pull it off with no issues. The food was GREAT and our guests were very satisfied. We chose three pies, a few sides and several appetizers to offer our guests. The asparagus was a hit and a perfect pairing for a wedding reception. While we were not able to try everything we offered our guests the day of the wedding, the tasting that we had with Jay was nothing less than spectacular. Jay was very flexible and willing to work with us in the planning process. We had a family member with serious food allergies, Jay and his team were able to make a separate pie just for him. This meant a lot to us as the hosts. Pizzeria Moto was very professional and were on site hours prior to the reception to make sure things were ready to go. Such a fun and unique way to feed your guests, not to mention a great price.

My husband and I were so pleased with Jay and his team at Pizzeria Moto! We had a barn reception and the food and set up was perfect for our rustic theme. From our first interaction with Jay he was very accommodating, willing to work with us to get the right menu for our budget. The food is delicious and very high quality! Pizzeria Moto was the exclamation point on our wedding. Our guests enjoyed having the fresh pizzas and we're still hearing from folks who thought having the pizza oven at the location was truly a unique addition to the day. Jason and his team are wonderful to work with and were exceptionally patient working with the site and day of requirements, in addition to working with another caterer who provided additional snacks. Pizzeria Moto was just what we were looking for with our Rehearsal Dinner - something more casual, to provide folks a good time to unwind, catch up, and enjoy great food with friends and family. It really worked out better than we could have imagined, as we had some delays with the prior events, but Jason and his team were very flexible to accommodate. The food was fantastic, and everyone raved it was some of the best pizza they have had in a long time - which says a lot given that most folks were from NY.

Despite the things that went wrong on my wedding day, Jay and his crew were very flexible and understanding. Our venue forced us to make so many last changes because their management did not communicate amongst each other. Jay had to set up further away from the building, which caused a domino effect of other problems with the table layout, buffet setup, etc. Jay still managed to create the perfect set up, provided the food on time, and my guests were raving about the pizza. I did not get a chance to try the appetizers, but I did get to try the pizza and it was truly delicious! Jay's experience in this industry shows and my guests have been inquiring about using him for their future events.

How do I even explain how awesome these guys are?? Obviously five stars all around. They're professional, kind and offer a product that is not just incredibly fun and impressive to guests but so so so delicious. Truly quality food.

We hired Jay and his team for our rehearsal dinner, which was around 80 people. They arrived early and were ready right when we needed to eat. The set-up was beautiful, but low key, which totally fit our rehearsal dinner. We received so many compliments on the food...the fresh, distinct flavors...no one could get enough. And when I had about 10 extra people come at the last minute, Jay and his team handled the extras with grace and ease.

We are so grateful for the pizzeria MOTO team and would recommend them to anyone, especially for an outdoor rehearsal dinner or a low-key wedding.

The food for the wedding was absolutely wonderful. All of the guests loved the appetizers and were raving about the bacon wrapped dates. Also, the pizzas were all amazing as usual! We loved the general feel of the meal. Our guests enjoyed the casual atmosphere and had fun trying the different types of pizza. It worked really well to set the pizzas out on the cake stands and let folks help themselves to different flavors - they all really enjoyed getting to try everything. Thank you for everything. We couldn't have asked for a better celebration and you and the team were a big part of that!

Pizzeria moto did an excellent job at our wedding. Food was fresh, hot and prompt. Couldn't have asked for better food at our wedding. If you're looking for the untraditional approach to reception food pizzeria moto is the way to do it. It was unique, fun and most importantly the food was delicious.

These guys are so awesome!! Delicious wood-fired pizza and even though I wasn't done with my wedding pictures in time to get any appetizers, I heard from several wedding guests that they were amazing (bruschetta, bacon wrapped dates). We had an outdoor wedding, under a tent. Jay and his team were punctual, set up their station, prepped all the food upon arrival and even rolled with the punches when it started to downpour in the middle of the reception. The pizza was soooo good and Jay keeps them coming as long as your guests are hungry. So reasonably priced, especially compared to any alternative catering service. But, c'mon... pizza?! It's something that everyone loved and adds a touch or fun/casual/uniqueness that could not be matched. Thank you, Jay! You made my wedding day so special.

Jay and his team truly helped to make our wedding wonderful. The food was fantastic—one guest almost kissed my Dad because he was so happy not to have to eat the same old catered wedding food. Listen ladies, this is not your typical reception. This is fresh, new, a show for your guests. Not stuffy but oh so classy. Delicious food and tempting appetizers. The salads were fresh and beautiful. Jay is flexible and makes sure you are stress free. But this is not like a sit down caterer, who sets up and cleans up. They are there for the show, satisfies, then cleans their mess and is out! Be ready to rent out servers/clean up staff. Totally economical in my case. People were amazed, and awed by the delicious yet casual elegance. But let me warn you. I did not try a bit of my food at the event. Never got a chance to go potty, or sit much less chew. I had sampled the food ahead, and according to my guests, this was something only a top notch ristorante could pull off. Thank you jay and friends! I hope to run into one of you events again soon. I love that ROSA, but I'm dying to try the one with the Brussel sprouts. Xoxo

My husband and I both love pizza and wanted freshly made food for our wedding, so we were incredibly excited when we found Pizzeria Moto. They did not disappoint. I hired Pizzeria MOTO after finding them here on Wedding Wire. My guests LOVED the idea of the wood fired pizza oven pulling up to the hotel and cooking the food- many people went outside to take pictures. The food was fantastic, the staff was phenomenal and my guests could not stop raving about it. I would recommend them to anyone looking to try something unique and delicious!

Working with Jason and the Pizzeria Moto team was one of our best wedding decisions. We had initially wanted to get married in Italy (where we have lived and traveled often) but decided it was just too far and too expensive for our family and friends. Our solution? Create a fabulous Italian inspired wedding in the Virginia countryside. Pizzeria Moto made delicious antipasti and pizzas that our guests are still talking about, three months later. The food was fresh and flavorful and presented beautifully. The Pizzeria Moto team showed up on time, set up without issue, were friendly and helpful to our guests and really made our wedding memorable. The guests enjoyed watching the woodfired ovens in action right outside the barn and what is better than pizza right out of the oven? We had such fun meeting with Jason prior to the wedding for our tasting, too. We watched as he made pizzas and appetizers and had a great time chatting and tasting all the delicious food. I cannot say enough good things about Pizzeria Moto and will definitely be looking to enjoy their pizzas again in the near future!

Pizzeria MOTO was PERFECT for our vineyard wedding near the Shenandoah Mountains! We had four different pizza selections, and several delicious sides/appetizers ... the food is high quality, fresh, and delicious, and added an additional unique/fun element to our wedding. People were raving about the pizza and asparagus side dish, and my dad (father-of-the bride) told me he ate 12 slices of pizza it was so good! :) Furthermore, Jay was wonderful to work with from the beginning, and everything worked like clockwork the day of the wedding. We highly recommend Pizzeria MOTO for any event!

O.M.G. I don't even know where to begin! Jay & his crew were unbelievable! I found Pizzeria Moto online, as I was planning my VA wedding from NC. I spoke with Jay on the phone and immediately booked him because he made me feel completely comfortable even though I had never tried his pizza. He offered to have myself and a couple friends come out to a vineyard where they were catering, hooked us up with a couple pizzas on him, and took the time to talk to me about my wedding. I had booked Jay over a year in advance, and unfortunately by the time my wedding rolled around one of the pizzas we were most interested in was no longer on his menu. Jay explained that it was a very labor intensive pizza and that's why it was hard to do for larger events, but even after expalining that he still went ahead and allowed me to add it to my menu because it had been our top pick. I had the venue owner from hell but Jay was so great with him. We had about 1/2 of our wedding guests gush about how much they loved the pizza and how original of an idea it was. Don't bore your guests with stuffy food - go with Pizzeria Moto and wow them!

Pizzeria Moto served our rehearsal dinner at Briar Patch this past March and our guests raved about the pizza and appetizers. One of our guests, who lives in NYC and isn't shy about critiquing food, made it a point to tell us that he was so delighted (and surprised) to enjoy excellent pies in the Virginia countryside. Indeed, they were excellent pies. Magnum, P.I. was our favorite. There were barely any leftovers because the pizza and appetizers were such a hit. Jay was wonderfully accommodating because our guests came hungry a little earlier than we expected. We also appreciated that Jay and his staff were so good to the kids in our party who were, I imagine, fascinated by the mobile wood oven and their whole process. He gave the kids cardboard pizza rounds and from that point on, the kids let us know that Jay and the staff of Pizzeria Moto were the coolest! We would highly recommend Pizzeria Moto and if we ever have another chance to host a party, we will be calling Jay. Thank you, Jay and Pizzeria Moto!!

I highly recommend Jay Clement and Pizzeria Moto for any event that you are planning. Brick Oven Pizza provided a unique flare for our pre Wedding Welcome Dinner. From my first contact, Jay was responsive, attentive and professional. He listened to my vision of our event and provided a contract, menu and pricing schedule; clearly outlining cost per person/ deposit and final payment. On the day of the event, Jay was prompt and efficient in set up. The food preparation was professionally, and served timely as outlined in our contract. The food was fresh and delicious with a wide variety of appetizers and pizza selections that met a wide variety of tastes. Our family will be talking about Pizzeria Moto for many years to come.

We really enjoyed working with Jay and Pizzeria Moto. He was accommodating, responsive, and went out of his way to be helpful--we were looking for a local band to play at our wedding and his recommendation was who we ended up hiring! He was also able to provide a terrific bartender.

The pizza and appetizers were excellent and our guests loved the experience of having a wood-fired oven on site.

You really couldn't hope for better results than Pizzeria Moto. They are highly professional, efficient, alot of fun, and provide the highest quality gourmet pizza you've ever had. The appetizers were fantastic, and they kept the food coming for a 120-person guest reception with no delay whatsoever. Jay is extremely accommodating and very easy to work with. How do you feed over 250 people at a wedding reception and have fun too? Pizzeria Moto managed to figure it out. Jay and his crew catered my wedding reception and provided about 6 different appetizers; 4 different gourmet pizzas and a salad. They worked hard all night long while the rest of us partied and ate lots of great food. Our favorite appetizers were the wood fired olives; the white bean crostinis and the stuffed dates. Everyone is still talking about the event and mostly about how wonderful the food was. Jay met with me a few weeks before the big event and we walked through all the details. He had such wonderful ideas and suggestions that made everything flow so effortless. Of course they did all the work. We just kept on eating. The quality was wonderful and they did a great job from start to finish and the clean up was amazing. Check out their pictures....we are the ones tossing the dough. The staff was very friendly, easy to work with and very professional. We recommend them for any size event. Thanks Jay, you helped to make our day extra wonderful.

We hired Pizzeria MOTO to cater our rehearsal dinner. Sometime after we signed the contract, we had to change the venue of the rehearsal dinner. The company worked with us and we were able to easily change the venue and have a great setup for our pizza. We selected three gourmet pizzas to be served at the dinner. All three were delicious and the guests loved them all. We had told some guests before-hand that we were serving pizza for the rehearsal dinner. Some seemed a little politely skeptical. All the guests were blown away, however, by the concept and the quality of the food. The staff was very professional, courteous, and attentive to our needs. I would definitely use Pizzeria MOTO again and would recommend it to any of my friends for their events.

We were delighted with Pizzeria MOTO which provided the meal at our rehearsal dinner hosted at a local vineyard. I live out of state, so we made all arrangements via phone and email; despite not having tasted their pizza or met them in person, Jay and his team were superb, provided a great meal, and contributed to the overall success of our party. Our guests raved about the pizza and salad, as well as the unique opportunity to have the wood fired oven on-site. Jay did a recon of the location in advance to ensure there would be no glitches and there were not! They were courteous, professional and enthusiastic in serving us. Additionally, I appreciated that they supplied "green" paper goods and did a complete clean-up at the end. From the perspective of the parents of the groom, it was a no-worry evening thanks to the fine work by Jay and the Pizzeria MOTO team. I would use them again.

When my husband and I were planning our wedding we knew we wanted something personal and fun. We were having a small party of about 70-80 people and we wanted something delicious that would convey our personalities - not stuffy! We knew we didn't want the boring chicken, fish or beef choice. We looked at quite a few catering places but nothing even came close to our final choice....Pizzeria Moto!! With Jay and his superior staff we got EXACTLY what we were hoping for within our budget and more!! We easily served 70 people and no one left hungry! The guests loved the wood fired pizza and the amazing salads and appetizers! And the service was excellent! The kids loved watching the pizza truck pull up and then watching them make the pizza's right there! My guests loved it and i heard great comments like "how hip and trendy", "that would be such a great idea for a graduation or birthday", "the food is soooooooooo good!!" I could go on and on about Jay and his crew! Can't wait for another celebration so we can use them again!

Weddings are a whirlwind. And you never realise just what all the stress is about, until you are in your own whirlwind.

This is where vendors like Jay from Pizzeria Moto come to your rescue. Calm, organised, patient... and most importantly, providing great food.

Wood fired pizza is one of my favourite things in the world. After discussions with Jay, I then had to (very easily) convince my fiance that it would be a great choice for our rustic barn venue to have a pizza oven on-site cooking our choice of pizzas for our reception.

We were not wrong! The food was incredible! I had so many compliments on how good the food was, and how cool we were to have pizza at our wedding! Wood fired is not like getting pizza hut or anything like that. The taste is different, it's classy without being stuffy, and most of all, it tasted and smelled delicious.

Jay used fresh local ingredients as much as possible, and was even willing and able to help me out with my vegan/ gluten free friends by using vegan cheese, and specific dough alongside the dough they generally use. This was a big deal to me, as it wasn't easy finding a caterer who was so easygoing about it, and I certainly wasn't going to invite friends with food allergies and intolerances, and then tell them to bring their own food.

Everything went smoothly, the appetisers were a hit (especially the wood fired olives) and even a last minute appetiser addition suggestion from Jay, based on a recent wedding party of a similar size, was carried through without a hitch.

I can't recommend them enough - and this experience has made me even more certain about building my own pizza oven in my back yard!

We found Pizzeria MOTO completely by chance, and we are so glad we did! Pizzeria MOTO is a mobile pizza oven that comes to your location to make pizzas fresh on-site for your event. We used them for our rehearsal dinner, and they were fantastic! The came early to make sure all the details were squared away, served dinner exactly on time, the food was totally tasty and fantastic, and the professional service of the team was great. MOTO went the extra mile by leaving plates and cutlery with us so we could use it to serve birthday cake for my father-in-law. We also loved that Pizzeria MOTO did not automatically include a gratuity in their price, which meant that we could offer it based on the quality of their service - which we cheerfully and happily sent them after the event. Having Pizzeria MOTO cater our rehearsal dinner meant we had great food and great service in a low-key environment, which was perfect for us. we highly recommend them for your event!

Pizzeria Moto was the perfect fit for our wedding celebration. We did want not to offer our guests the traditional wedding meal but rather something unique. The quality of Moto's food was wonderfully fresh and delicious so much so that our only non pizza loving guest couldn't help but go back for more after the first bite. Jay and his crew were extremely easy to work with, personable and professional. If you are looking for a non traditional wedding feast that offers rustic elegance Pizzeria Moto is a sure bet. Jay was a real pleasure to deal with. We hired him blind from Connecticut for a rehearsal dinner of over 100 people and hoped it would all work out! It did and exceeded our expectations. He was easy to reach, fulfilled our requests, arrived on time, and stayed late. The pizzas were delicious and the appetizers were wonderful. The fire roasted dates are a knockout. Jay and Pizzeria Moto provided excellent service. Because of our venue, we had to have a second caterer to provide tables, etc. Pizzeria Moto was responsible for providing the pizza and salad and running the pizzas to the buffets. Jay and his team did a great job of setting up in a timely fashion and the quantities were prefect.

Jay went above and beyond to make our day go off without a hitch. He was the first vendor we decided on and we are so happy it was able to work.

We have received so many compliments on the pizza itself. It was delicious and perfect for our wedding.

I found Pizzerria Moto surfing the internet all the way in Cincinnati. The wedding was in VA and I couldnt have been more pleased. Very professional, organized and accomodating caterer. We used MotoPizza for our rehearsal dinner. They were absolutely fantastic. From start finish, they took care of everything (worry free)! They were early, had ample food, and served until the crowd was happily full (we had 45ish). The food was amazing, for which we are still getting compliments to this day! Tip - highly HIGHLY recommend the bacon wrapped dates and the goat cheese pizza!

PIzzeria Moto catered our rehearsal dinner in Harpers Ferry and the entire experience was wonderful. We did a tasting with Jason a few months before where we were able to sample different appetizers, salad and pizzas. It was just my husband and I with him so we were able to spend some time talking with him - very friendly, personable and laid back which was exactly what we were looking for. The actual event went very smoothly. Jason and his crew were very flexible when we needed to change our venue location at the last minute due to weather. They set up a nice white tent over the wood-fire stove/serving area - the set-up and the crew looked very professional. The food definitely comes out in waves so not everyone eats at the same time but it worked well for our set-up and style. The food was wonderful - definitely recommend the bacon wrapped dates & this pizza is amazing! Jason was very easy to communicate with via email while we were planning. Overall, was maybe a bit more than we had intended to spend on our rehearsal but I have no complaints about the service or food. A wonderful choice is you're looking for an outside, low-key meal. Everyone loved them!

Pizzeria Moto catered our rehearsal dinner. We had to change plans last minute due to rain, moving to another site, and Jay was super flexible and laid back throughout it all. They adjusted, did what they need to do, and still served some very delicious pizzas without a hiccup. A really great company to work with. They were very easy, calm, and responsive during what can be a somewhat stressful time.

Jason and his team produced a great rehearsal dinner spread. The appetizers were great and everyone loved the pizza. We wanted a causal inviting atmosphere and food to match. We acheived that goal thanks to Pizzeria MOTO

We were planning an outdoor wedding. (About 50 people)
I wanted my wedding to be low key, but classy in a comfortable way. I had originally spoken with a farm-to-table caterer who was not as responsive as I needed, especially as I was planning a Virginia wedding from Colorado. I found Pizzeria Moto when I decided to look for other options. I was excited from the moment I received a quick response from the owner and read the reviews. Originally, we were going to make our own appetizers, NO REASON to do that, because Jay's appetizers were perfect additions to the salad and pizza. The entire meal was perfect. The communication was excellent; the food was fresh and plentiful. All of the guests (young and older) were pleased and complementary and loved the unique idea. We fully endorse this business!

Pros:
FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! Hands down some of the best pizza.
Jay was flexible when we wanted to change up a few items!

Cons:
We paid for 100 guests, we had 88 show at our wedding and there still was not enough food. Totally embarrassing and unacceptable. What would have happened if all guests showed? The appetizers went extremely fast - I had family members tell me later on that they never even had a chance to taste one. I was very upset! Pretty pricey for not having enough to feed everyone.

We never had a follow up with him - didn't care to see how we thought it went, if we enjoyed it - etc..

Jay was a pleasure in the beginning of our planning! At our first tasting we were impressed with the flavors. We were confused as to why he did not offer us a taste of all the items we would be serving at our wedding. When we asked for a second tasting to try only the items we did not try yet, he refused. We worked with him and decided to trust the taste for the additional items if he would work with us and change the menu up a bit. He did. However, because of this confirtation, he was very stand off ish at the wedding. I went over to him to give him a hug and it was one of the most awkward parts of my night.

Terrible experience

We hired this vendor for a private event and paid the requested deposit promptly. Two days before the event, we were suddenly asked to pay the full remaining balance plus full gratuity—before any services had been rendered. The explanation given was that he had been “burned” by previous clients, which frankly isn’t a professional or transparent way to do business. If full prepayment—including tip—is required, that should be clearly stated upfront, not sprung on clients days before an event.

When we raised questions about these last-minute terms—while juggling other commitments—the vendor abruptly canceled on us and refused to refund our deposit. He claimed we never returned the signed contract, even though communication had been ongoing for weeks.

Between the disorganized billing, poor communication, and last-minute cancellation, we left this experience feeling taken advantage of and deeply disappointed. We would not recommend this vendor based on our experience and lack of trust in his practices.
