The best advice I could give any bride is to get a videographer (experienced in live-streaming) for your wedding ceremony. When we started planning our wedding in “pre-COVID” times, the need for a videographer wasn’t even on our radar. Looking back, it was by far the best, most meaningful, investment we could have made. As a bride planning a wedding in the midst of the pandemic, with so many uncertainties, I cannot emphasize enough the peace of mind that working with Jim, a trusted and professional, videographer and live-streamer, gave us. There were so many tears shed as many loved ones had to decline, and yet, being able to say each time with absolute surety: "it's okay, you'll still get to see me walking down the aisle live, you'll get to see everything like you were right there with us" not only gave me peace of mind, but also put so many others at peace that they could still (virtually) share in our special day. Leading up to the big day, given the ever changing restrictions, safety protocols and individuals’ comfort levels, there were so many times I’d ask myself, “Is anyone going to even see me walk down the aisle?!” but as fate would have it, and all thanks to Jim’s streaming capabilities, I truly believe that more people tuned in than we had on the original guest list! I also can't highlight enough the clarity of the video picture and audio. Everyone that watched couldn't get over how clear the imaging and audio was, making them all really feel like they were right there with us. When friends sent us screenshots from their TVs letting us know that they had joined in, I kid you not, the pictures were frame-worthy they were so clear! After the wedding, Jim sent us a downloadable copy of our ceremony video, and I can’t emphasize enough how much we have cherished getting to relive these special moments. We honestly cannot thank Jim enough for his professionalism, responsiveness, high quality services, added special touches and most importantly, the peace of mind that working with him gave us.

Amazing Experience with Jim!
We had our wedding ceremony this past weekend with only our immediate family, best man, and maid of honor in attendance. Although we were sad not to have our 400 guests attend the ceremony live, Jim was able to help us so that they could all attend virtually! Jim was such a pleasure to work with. Leading up to the wedding, he was so accommodating of the requests I had for the livestream website (adding a chat function, adding a PDF of the wedding with both English and Vietnamese translations of the ceremony). Our guests had told us the sound and video quality of the livestream was amazing - they could hear and see almost everything. The price was extremely affordable and reasonable. I would highly recommend working with Jim!

Jim was so great from start to finish. You barely knew he is there filming. He captured all the highlights of the day. And our short "music" video was amazing. He was much more affordable than others. I would highly recommend him.

Amazing work
We did not know where to start to look for a videographer. We wanted someone local. I saw Jim's name and reached out. He was quick to respond. Since it was during covid, we met over the phone or zoom. We were impressed and hired him. We filled out what we wanted on his website and let him know what to expect as far as family, cake cutting, first dance, etc. The day of the wedding, Jim appeared and even though we knew he was there, he was so unobtrusive, that we kind of forgot he really was there. He even had a drone, which gave us some spectacular footage. Because he was pretty much out of our sight, we hoped he caught it all(he did). First, we got the highlight reel and it was so great and just the perfect length to send to friends and family. We then got the 2 hour video and it is perfect. We will all enjoy this for years to come. We have no hesitation in recommending Jim. His work is amazing!

On the fence about a videographer? Hire Jim! You won't regret it!
If you are on the fence about getting a videographer, I know exactly how you feel! I was the exact same way, and could not imagine spending more money on something that did not feel essential to our wedding. However, we got our video last night, and I turned to my husband smiling, and said "That was seriously the best money we ever spent." And trust me, I was incredibly budget conscious throughout our entire wedding. I laughed, I cried, and I loved seeing guests interact that I did not notice on the day of the wedding. It's so fun to see! Jim was an absolute professional and quite possibly the easiest of our vendors to work with. He answered all of his emails in an incredibly quick amount of time, and we received our wedding trailer and full video quicker than I anticipated. My number one concern was whether or not our videographer would be in the way. Let me tell you now that I hardly knew Jim was there. I can't believe the shots he was able to get without me even seeing him. I researched a ton of other videographers, and Jim was definitely the most reasonably priced that I saw. I cannot recommend him enough. Seriously, if you are on the fence about having a videographer, just do it and hire Jim!

Highly recommend this team! Highly highly recommend!
Jim and his wife did an amazing job video taping our event! We had a morning South Indian ceremony and an evening reception. They both took such good care and dedication to making sure all of the important aspects of ceremony and reception were captured. No part of their work affected the event for us or others. The trailer video came very quickly and was perfectly composed for the memorable parts. The long and longer versions of the video included all of the crucial parts that especially our families who couldn't be part of the event enjoyed. Highly recommend them especially for Indian events!

Hiring Jim was one of the best decisions of my life
My fiancee (wife!) and I were planning a small, backyard COVID-free wedding in less than a month and we were trying to find some way to include our loved ones who wouldn't be able to be there in person. We were so lucky to have found Jim on Google! We hired him to livestream our wedding. He was responsive, professional, very reasonably priced, and made our wedding perfect.
Everyone loved the livestream! It was such a great investment and allowed us to include everyone we wanted to be a part of our special day. Even people who weren't able to see the ceremony live can watch the replay that is still up! We were able to give our guests an experience of being at the wedding and Jim captured beautiful and sweet and funny moments that we will have forever. It was amazing that he didn't need to rely on our WIFI and that all of his equipment ran on batteries. It wasn't just that he was unobtrusive, but he even helped enhance the experience for everyone. Our in-person guests were excited to get texts from people in real-time saying that they were on TV!!
Jim is a really nice guy, seemed to care about the success of my wedding, and went above and beyond to make the day amazing. Hiring him was definitely one of the best decisions of my life and I highly recommend you hire him as well!

Jim is so wonderful to work with! My husband and I had booked Jim to film our wedding at the last minute, scheduled for March 2020. As you may have guessed, we had to cancel, and Jim was very responsive, accommodating, and helpful as we tried to find a new time to hold our celebration. When we finally picked a date over two years later, unfortunately Jim was not available but he was so wonderful about it. He answered my many emails about prospective dates and was prepared to film our celebration whenever we held it. I highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for a videographer!

Jim was absolutely amazing. We had a small backyard wedding in August of 2020. He offered to live stream our event for family members who could not be there due to COVID. He also worked with us at our bigger wedding in May of 2021. We just got our video back and he did an amazing job putting our 2 separate events into one seamless video that is so special to us. We hired Jim for our wedding on 12/20/20 and He was great. He was very professional and very helpful. He captured every detail of the ceremony and the reception. Even though I had contracted him for a specific time, he ended showing up earlier after I had found out that my fiance was going to get her make-up done earlier than planned.

Jim is THE videographer you need to work with!!
Jim was absolutely a pleasure to work with. I found Jim about 2 years ago (yikes!) when I was initially planning my November 2020 wedding. I was looking for a videographer that would make a timeless video for me and husband to look back on years to come. I didn't want this super dramatic and exaggerated video, I wanted someone to capture the true emotions and fun of the day in video form, and Jim did just that! When my wedding got postponed due to Covid, he was extremely flexible & offered us a special on our mini ceremony that we held this year. His pricing isn't even close to those in his field, but his work was even better in my opinion! He was super flexible and responsive to any concerns I had when it came to videoing our wedding with our elderly grandparents. Jim listened to my crazy request of wearing 2 masks during the ceremony to make sure my Nana was safe. Not only did he do that, but he made sure to keep his distance, and he brought a formal mask too to cover his other masks! He went above and beyond to capture the exact moments that we wanted captured. He was so kind and attentive, but yet we didn't even notice he was there capturing those moments. My family hates being recorded, so having someone who wasn't in our faces, but also somehow, captured moments like he was, was extremely important to us. You know the video is amazing when I was already in tears after the first 30 seconds. I am bursting at the seems wanting to share my video with everyone. I HIGHLY recommend Jim and can't say enough positive things about his work, his ability to relax those he is videoing, and his professionalism. I can't wait to work with him again next year!

Our best desicion!
Working with Jim was a breath of fresh air. Having to change our wedding from 150 people to 50 people was discouraging, my husband and I did not want to move our wedding date, so we thought the next best thing to do would be to live stream the ceremony for those who could not attend. From the first phone call with Jim, all the way through the wedding was a great experience. The live stream worked beautifully and was very easy for people to access. Jim also created a 40-minute video of our wedding and reception along with a 5-minute overview of our whole day. We love both videos so much!

Jim was so amazing to work with. He is so accommodating in so many ways! We were on a tight budget and weren’t sure how much we could afford for a videographer. Our contract was not for that long, and we were concerned, because as Jewish couple with a jewish wedding there are events before the ceremony that we wanted to have recorded. In our first conversation, Jim said to us, the pre-ceremony religious events, for example the Tisch, Hachnasat Kallah, and Ketubah signing, Jim said that he considered part of the ceremony. He included those pieces for no extra fee. Furthermore, we are an international couple. Arielle is from France, while Jonathan is from the US. Hence, before the pandemic, our plan was that a week or so after our ceremony we would go to France to do a French party with Arielle’s family. Because of the time difference we were worried that her family wouldn’t be able to see the ceremony live, so we asked if he could get us a copy of the ceremony in less than a week that we could show in France. That too, he graciously accommodated, and in fact sent us an edited copy of the ceremony three days after our wedding!
So far we only have the ceremony back ( it has been less than a week after all :). It was fabulous, perfectly shot, edited and make us cry all over again.
Jim was so incredible, kind, and dedicated, he made sure to say bye before he left and we couldn’t be happier with choosing, and sticking with him. THANKS YOU SO MUCH JIM!

It took some convincing, but 2 months before our wedding my husband and I decided to get a videographer. We decided to go with Pirate Lane Video and I am so glad we did! Their pricing was great for the quality of the video. They were very quick to give us a teaser trailer, and the full length video came out so good, I cried....a lot. I highly recommend them!

I just wanted to share how amazing it was working with Jim from Pirates Lane. My husband and I got married at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in June 2017. I just felt like from beginning to end he was so professional and attentive to my needs and what I wanted to be included in my wedding video. At my wedding Jim had his own drone to take ariel shots of the barn which was amazing, he chose the most perfect music for my wedding video, and was so discrete at our wedding...you barely noticed he was there. It truly was an amazing experience and watching my wedding video still makes me cry. The highlight video was amazing, it was so perfect and included literally every moment that meant the world to me. During the planning process, he helped us figure out what kind of products we wanted, what kind of style we liked, and listened to our needs for the day. He was quick with communication too! Your search is over! I could not have been happier with Jim and Pirates Lane Video and would HIGHLY recommend him. He truly blew away all of my expectations, and here's why:
When we finally decided to get a videographer for our wedding after the age old debate "to get one? or to not get one?", I admittedly aimed at trying to find the cheapest vendor possible, because all I really had wanted was video capture of our ceremony and our speeches (we weren't big into getting a super high production quality videographer, which based on my research, would cost us many thousands of dollars). During my search, I came across Jim and Pirates Lane Video. When I requested a quote, they were very reasonable and EXTREMELY flexible with creating a package that would best meet my specific needs. While I imagined I wouldn't be getting the most high-quality footage, purely based on my comparison shopping and assumptions due to how reasonable the quote was - I could not have been more wrong.
When Jim delivered us our video - he absolutely blew us away. The quality was as good, if not even better than the "high-baller videographers" we had come across in our initial search. It was breathtaking. He captured all of the perfect moments, had orchestrated the best music that perfectly aligned with stills on screen - it was simply incredible. Not to mention, Jim was the absolute BEST to work with. I never noticed him once at our wedding - he wasn't in our faces like videographers had been at other weddings we'd been too, yet the footage he captured made it seem like he was RIGHT there in the action. Based on the video, it looked like he had cameras going from a hundred different angles - yet I never saw one. He was so respectful, and so polite. After dealing with many vendors who took some time to get back to us, he was extremely responsive, and always positive and accommodating. After not wanting a videographer in the first place - he ended up being our absolute favorite vendor!
