Absolutely Amazing
Not being a traditional bride who had dreamt about her wedding forever, I did not know what to look for in a wedding photographer. Jen was professional. patient and kind with all of my (truly outrageous) number of questions. She calmed our nerves and guided me through the process. I not only found a photographer to capture my wedding with care but made a life long friend. Jen genuinely adores love and capturing those special moments. As true romantic who will not judge your choices if they are not the traditional sparkling white dress, Jen will take care to capture the moments of your wedding as you envision it. She also managed to make my very introverted spouse comfortable in front of the camera! -

Jen took pictures at our belated wedding reception, and they turned out to be amazing. We were in a dark speakeasy and it was crowded and dimly lit, so the conditions weren't great for photography. But she did an excellent job. We asked for a mix of formal pics and casual shots where our friends didn't know she was taking their pictures. Everything turned out great and we couldn't be happier. -

Jen was absolutely amazing! She captured the perfect shots and listened when I explained what I wanted. I have received so many compliments on how well the pictures came out and she was so fast too! She even wore her Star Trek dress for our Star Trek wedding. I highly recommend her. -

A unique and fun experience
Jen is someone I have known for years now, and I can honestly say she is one of the best. Her personality is everything!! She is very unique in what she does, not only as a vendor photographer but as a client. She was so much fun to work with!! I was privileged to capture her vow renewal, and it was SO much fun!! I'm a professional event planner - been in the industry over a decade now - and have worked with my fair share of photographers, both good and poor. I HIGHLY recommend Jen at Pink Light Images (also has Weirdo Weddings as a sister company). You cannot beat the quality of her work and enthusiasm of her persona, especially for the amazing value (she really should charge more).
I have worked with her on several things but I'm writing this review on behalf of a specific event we recently did together. It was a benefit event, theme was Bridgerton and it was a prom style event for a husband with an incureable disease to throw for his wife and their closest friends. He wanted to have memories and great photos for them to look back on after he passes. Several vendors came on board to make this an amazing night for this more than deserving couple. Jen's photos are the gift that will keep on giving for the community that surrounds this gentleman. Jen's positiveness and passion comes through in all of her photos - and you will enjoy working with her as much as you enjoy looking at the photos after the event. -

Jen is UHMAZING! She helped us last-minute with our tiny park elopement and brought the best energy with her. She has the most fun, easygoing, enthusiastic attitude, and a great eye for beautiful shots. We felt perfectly comfortable being our happy goofy selves in our pictures. 🙂 -

Absolutely The Best

She was able to capture the amazing moments of my son's Halloween Wedding, from the rehearsal shenanigans, the beautiful ceremony, to the wonderful reception. She was absolutely amazing. Jen was the absolute best! She was there for everything, even calming my pre-ceremonial jitters! She was so responsive and positive. She had a handle on how everything was going to happen and when for my Scarborough Faire wedding. She was able to walk me through it flawlessly. Her photos were amazing and captured exactly what we were feeling in the moment. She got so many silly ones of my nephew too, picking his nose next to the flower girls, that’s a framer for sure!! It’s amazing how much she was able to capture in such a short amount of time, it’s almost as if she were omnipresent. Thank you, Jen for catching these wonderful lifelong memories! OMG I am absolutely in love with JEN!!!! She made me feel very comfortable. I was nervous because everyone doesn't always know how to shoot plus sized women at their best but this chic was great!!! She had so many ideas and they came came out stunning. The very first picture I showed my husband he broke down in tears and that's the greatest response I could ask for! Perfect balance - Capturing the moments + Artistic vision
Jen photographed our super-intimate, kind-of-weird elopement. It was just us (bride & groom), her and our officiant. We had an off-beat setting in the woods by a lake. So with Jen as our only onlooker, we got to know her pretty well pretty quick. And I can tell you not only is Jen a dyed-in-the-wool artist with an eye for composition, color, ambiance etc - she is also just a kind, fun, enthusiastic person. The positive energy she brought to our tiny ceremony was priceless for us. She listened, honored our ideas for photo settings & props, and came up with many more on the spot. She captured so many beautiful details & moments. She is also a true professional with great communication before, during and after the ceremony. If you want artistic photos, emotional photos, perfect candid moments - pick Jen. If you are worried about another photographer balking at your ideas or your wedding theme - PICK Jen! If you want a great value and professionalism, and someone who loves what they do - PICK JEN! -

My husband and I were quite excited to get married at Scarborough Renaissance Festival. But most of the photographers were interviewed were a lot less keen on the idea. Then we met Jen of Pink Light Images, and oh my goddess am I glad we did. She wasn't just "willing" to shoot a Renaissance wedding. She may have actually been more excited about it than we were. And boy does it ever SHOW. My wedding pictures look like something out of a fairy tale, and 10 years later I’m still showing them off at every available opportunity. Jen has an incredible artistic eye, one that translated into magazine worthy photos (No, for real– they were in Unique Bride Magazine). Not only that, but taking the pictures was an absolute joy. Her photojournalistic style meant that I got to actually ENJOY my wedding day instead of stopping to strike awkward poses for extended periods of time. And Jen’s bubbly personality made it that much better– she even wore a costume!
I cannot recommend Pink Light Images enough– especially if you too are having the kind of wedding that makes lesser photographers raise an eyebrow. -

My husband and I decided to get married on February 29th literally one week before Leap Day. We found Jen through the Offbeat Bride website and contacted her, fingers crossed, that she would be willing to photograph our wedding on such crazy short notice. To our great fortune, she was available, even at the eleventh hour, to document our intimate ceremony and then take photos with our families at several beautiful spots near the courthouse. Jen was a joy to work with, VERY accommodating, and great at communication. She was a powerful, enthusiastic, and affirming presence at the wedding, and did not feel out of place at all in our intimate setting. We hope to work with her again, and we're looking forward to seeing our final pictures--we know they'll be great! -

I had already seen the results that Pink Light Images created for two different friends, so when it was time for my daughter's wedding, there was no question in my mind who I would suggest. Jen communicated well with my daughter, showed up early at the wedding venue to make sure that she could get the best lighting and worked with my daughter, her (new) husband's family, and our family to make sure everyone got the shots that they wanted. She didn't let the bad weather keep her from getting beautiful shots and even went above and beyond by going out into the wet streets to get some shots during breaks in the weather. She even provided us with a collection of pictures before the weekend was even over so that we could show off some of the pictures. Everyone who sees them has remarked that the pictures don't look like every other wedding that they have seen. They are truly special! I couldn't be more pleased! -

Jen is very creative and talented artist as well as highly professional and reliable. Our family contracted her three times within past two years. And each time Jen surprised us with the excellent quality product. She is very talented and able to capture and transpose special atmosphere to the pictures. Also, Jen invested significant amount of time to gather information about our wedding ceremony, requirements, do and donts to make sure that my husband and I are completely satisfied and had the best possible experience. Perfect in Every Way
Pink Light Images was wonderful to work with. Jen and I had numerous conversations about what we wanted captured on the day, the vision for the wedding theme, and also who all of the family/bridal party are. During the wedding, she caught all of the important moments, even the impromptu moments that we continue to treasure. The moments that were truly special to us that may have seemed small to an onlooker. Yet Jen caught the moments and we will have those pictures for life. Beyond that the pictures were absolutely gorgeous! I continue to pour over each picture months later and am still so amazed at how each picture is an art piece in and of itself. Not to mention, she perfectly captured our Doctor Who theme and all of the tiny details that we had included in our wedding.
We had also elected to have the Rehearsal Dinner photographed. It was a board/card game theme. The laughter, the conversation and even the competitiveness, is captured in each picture. It was a wonderful start to the joining of 2 families and we will have those moments to treasure always.

Joanna Sent on 10/27/2017Oh my goodness. My husband and I are so fortunate to have come across Jen and Pink Light Images! We immediately felt comfortable with her when we all met; she is so fun, cheerful, and professional at the same time. She stayed in touch with us, walking us through ideas and details while being very receptive to the things that are important to us.
Then came a hitch--she found out that she was expecting, and her due date was the day before our wedding! Can I tell you that she went above and beyond to make sure that we weren't left in the lurch! She brought in a partner, introduced us, and went over everything that would both help us and ensure her and her baby's health. She ended up delivering a few weeks early, and, while her partner shot most of the big stuff, Jen STILL rode the two hours to our location and took a lot of photos herself. She is DEDICATED.
We had a fantastic time and felt really comfortable with her. Her style fuses traditional poses, funky attitude, and awesome candids that really capture the spirit of the couple and the guests, and her work is the highest quality (I'm a former photography major, so I'm VERY picky about it!). Long story short, she comes through like a rock star, and you will not be disappointed.
*She also worked on some individual portraits for me, unrelated to the wedding, and they look fantastic. -

Katie Sent on 10/27/2017I am extremely late writing my review. Jen photographed my wedding last May at Scarborough Renaissance Fair. She was wonderful! Before the wedding, she was always quick to answer my questions via email and to handle all arrangements. On the day of the wedding, she came early and dressed for the fair! Since she had experience photographing at Scarborough, she was helpful with last minute changes and knowledgeable about good photo sites at the fair. During the ceremony, she took lots of photos, but was never intrusive or a distraction. I would absolutely recommend her.

Sherry Sent on 06/20/2013I was thrilled to have Jen and her hubby shoot my wedding. I am also a wedding photographer so I think it means a lot that I choose her specifically. Jen has an eye like noone I've ever seen. I knew that she would be able to capture my special day in her own unique, artistic way. Not only that, but Jen walked through all the crazy happenings of my day with the most calmest of natures. I felt really safe with her by my side. Getting married can be very nerve-wracking so I know that having someone there with me that understood the importance of what I was doing as well as being able to translate it in an artistic way was a NECESSITY. Jen really cares about her clients and she goes out of her way to serve them. I will ALWAYS have fond memories of my day because of my great experience and beautiful images that Jen captured.
