Danieka is an amazing photographer to say the least! We had her for our engagement shoot and wedding, and our photos were absolutely stunning! The pictures she did for wedding turned out so incredible, that she was able to capture everyone smiling and having a great time. Danieka was also a great resource when it came putting us in touch with the right people, when it came to wedding vendors. I highly recommend Danieka (Picturist Photography) if you ever need a photographer, because she truly a master photographer!

Amazing Photographer
Danieka was such a pleasure to work with! Very professional, warm and kind. I knew we were in good hands as soon as we met! She gave us direction with a gentle hand that was so invaluable to us inexperienced posers! She was so helpful with setting the timeline of the day and helping keep us on schedule. Truly an invaluable asset to our wedding! I love every single photo! She has a great eye for getting the best backdrops and lighting. We got plenty of amazing staged portraits and candid style photos. Photography was very important to me when planning my wedding and I am so happy they turned out even better than I expected! Danieka is an amazing wedding photographer and she did a wonderful job for our engagement shoot and for our wedding. We have hundreds of beautiful, candid photos capturing every moment of our wedding, including unique shots that truly wowed us and our guests. In addition, she is very approachable and did a great job making my wife and I all feel comfortable as neither of us had done professional photos before.
Finally, Danieka went above and beyond by sharing a wedding day of timeline with a suggested sequence of events and timing that helped us run ahead of schedule on our wedding day.

Simply the best
Danieka was incredible. From day 1, she was so excited for us and really listened to what we wanted. When we did our site visit with her, she was a great partner in brainstorming what shots we wanted where. Day-of she was such a joy - she was so happy for us, helped us get centered and calm before the ceremony, and was totally stealth-mode throughout the whole night - I didn't even notice her during the ceremony! Amazing! Danieka took our engagement and wedding photos. She was so kind and professional that we felt so comfortable with her. She has an amazing and unique eye for photography. She truly captured beautiful moments of our wedding to look back on and relive over and over again. -

From New York, we planned our intimate wedding in California. We had our closest friends and family join us for our very own fairy tale wedding in the woods, and Danieka captured every single moment of it so beautifully.
I found her through simple searches while planning, as I am not from the area. I loved her work and contacted her immediately. We set up a zoom call to meet (being 3,000 miles away), and she has been a true professional from the start. My husband and are not the “pose for photos” type (we are so awkward).. yet capturing the moments was extremely important to me- especially with our whole family being together. Danieka made it so easy. She directed us perfectly, yet also allowed everything to magically flow. She has a great passion for what she does and an extreme eye for detail. She was also so patient (believe me… getting ready was an ordeal).
Receiving our photos felt just as good as our special day. She promised to tell a story and to me, it’s the best story ever told… We couldn’t be happier. -

Amazing!!!
Our wedding was perfectly photographed and every moment captured beautifully. When we got the photos back my wife and I were blown away and taken back to our special day. Danieka was phenomenal, made the whole process so fun and enjoyable, and, honestly, was hardly noticeable in the best way. We could not have asked for a better photographer!! -

More than we could ever imagine!
Where to begin with Danieka! From the very beginning she was so easy to work with and so communicative. My now husband and I had never had professional photos taken and needed lots of guidance, she made us look so amazing and comfortable in front of the camera. from the natural posing to the perfect locations and lighting , she nailed it. She is so dedicated to her couples and we had the best time shooting our engagement photos and even more fun the day of the wedding. Danieka exceeded our expectations on our wedding day, she was somehow everywhere at once and captured all the moments we asked for and then some. She told me what to bring and she did the rest, from photos of my dress and all the little details of the day. We were overjoyed opening the album with family and recalling all the funny and candid moments, exactly what we wanted to feel. I would recommend Danieka to any engaged couple, she will guide you through the photography process and come up with creative ways to capture your special moments. She is so talented and kind and so easy to work with. Planning a wedding during these times can be really stressful but if all vendors were like Danieka it would be a breeze. Thank you again for everything, we will cherish these photos forever. -

Wow! WOW! WOW!!!!
From our very first call, I KNEW Danieka was the photographer for us. She was flexible -- and in an age of COVID and crazy planning, I can't stress ENOUGH how important flexibility and empathy has been -- and really focused on what WE wanted. She has this incredible thread of creativity, sending me sample photos and inspirations of shots that were unique and not like the standard "cheesy wedding pose photos" you see all over Pinterest. Unlike other photographers we talked to, Danieka was more concerned about our style, our goals and what we wanted...so that she could bring ideas that would make every moment OURS. While others just sent us previous portfolios...Danieka was sending us examples of sets and set ups from editorial spreads along with examples of other amazing moments she had created with other couples.
I am a bit of an organizer, and poor Danieka got spreadsheet upon spreadsheet of photos, requests and detail. She was just lovely...all smiles and laughter as I just kept color coding tabs. Poor Danieka! LOL!!!
On the day, she was in all the spots to capture all THE moments. We ended up getting "married" on Zoom on the original date we had picked that, thanks to Covid, swerved our plans sideways. So instead of a wedding ceremony...we just pretended it took our guests MONTHS to drive to the reception. She was there, without question or hesitation, rescheduled and ready to roll...with an eye for every moment of joy and celebration.
I can't say enough about Danieka other than this...you WILL NOT REGRET having Danieka be part of your day. She isn't just there to snap photos that look like everyone else's wedding album. She is there to capture YOU and all the joy, laughter and special moments that will happen between you and your friends and loved ones.Picturist Photography's reply:

Danieka has a great eye for candid moments. She won't tell you how to stand or which way to look, but she will capture the emotion of the event. In addition to taking wonderful photos, she is a kind and accommodating person. She drove about an hour away to a place she'd never been for our engagement shoot, even going before to scout out some good spots. She listens to requests very well, and got all our "must have" photos for the wedding, along with a bunch of really great guest photos from the reception! -

We could not be happier with our experience with Danieka of Picturist for our June 2019 wedding in Mill Valley!! From our first interaction with Danieka through receiving our full set of wedding pics after our big day, each interaction was prompt, professional and left us feeling confident with our decision to choose Picturist, and grateful to work with such a skilled and kind wedding photographer. Most importantly, our wedding photos are STUNNING. And so are our engagement pictures!
When we were shopping for wedding photographers, Danieka’s beautiful portfolio caught our eye. We reached out and she sent us details of the photo packages she offered, and thankfully, some fell within our budget. I was grateful that we didn’t need to beg for pricing like we did with some of the other photographers. As we searched further, wanting to be sure that we were choosing the absolute best photographer we could afford, I found that we were comparing each other photographer’s portfolio with Danieka’s. That's how we knew we wanted to work with her. After a brief phone meeting, we felt comfortable and were ready to commit. We are SO glad we did.
We met Danieka in person for the first time for our engagement photo shoot at Sutro Baths in SF. Her energy was warm and kind and made us feel very comfortable, and the pictures she took were beautiful. On our wedding day, she took gorgeous, etherial photos, but her presence was unobstrusive--she was right there getting allll the great shots, but her presence was so subtle that we hardly even noticed she was there - the mark of a true professional!
As we got busier and more stressed as our wedding date neared, Danieka checked in with us several times. We appreciated her reaching out to us, and not having to need to chase her down (like we unfortunately had to do with our DJ) as we scrambled to get everything aligned. She showed up early to our engagement shoot and on our wedding day, and responded promptly to all of our e-mails and texts.
We recommend Danieka and her company Picturist Photography with absolutely no hesitation. Danieka is an absolute pleasure to work with, and most importantly, her work is gorgeous!! We are SO grateful we chose Picturist Photography!! -

She was spectacular!
Danieka was phenomenal. She went above and beyond, showed up bright and early, was creative and resourceful, knew exactly when I was ready to take photos and took subtle cues to when I was over it. The venue pictures were spectacular, as well as all of the wedding party photos, everyone was happy with their pictures. She followed my schedule seamlessly including obtaining venue shots, getting ready photos, wedding party photos, first-look session, wedding, reception, and more. She helped to guide me through the day and calm my nerves. Everyone was impressed with her talent and attitude. I cannot recommend her enough, and would love to hire her again for other family events! -
