I found Amanda on The Knot website. I started following her work on Facebook and Instagram and absolutely fell in love with her work. She captures such beautiful, romantic moments and our pictures literally made me cry (and these were just the preview pics). She directs you every step of the way so you know exactly what to do and don’t feel like an idiot standing around. She is precise and whipped thru all 917,927 pictures we wanted very efficiently and beautifully. Our family is like herding cats and she did an outstanding job getting us done with pictures. Her energy level is always at a constant 100% and keeps your guests and bridal party upbeat and ready to strike a pose. We couldn’t be more thrilled with Amanda or her amazing eye. She truly captured what I had envisioned. You won’t go wrong with her. -

Talk about energy, MK was the hype before walking down the aisle! My husband is definitely not a fan of pictures, and it takes a lot for him to take a picture, let alone smile for the camera, but let me tell you, there is a picture (several pictures) of him smiling! MK provided several sneak peek pictures THE DAY AFTER our wedding, it was a nice little surprise to be able to post those on social media announcing our wedding? 10 out of 10 would definitely hire MK again! -

Amanda (Mkay) has fantastic skills and energy. Her 2-photographer package was a great value, she was timely, and had a lot of experience shooting at our venue. We didn't have a DJ or emcee at our small wedding, but Mkay stepped up to get our guests excited for events like our grand entrance, grand exit, and dancing. And the way she captured the beautiful evening light at our outdoor venue was perfect. She provided us some "teasers" for social media the following day, and then gave us the whole set of edited photos within the scheduled timeframe. Would definitely hire her again! She's professional, quick to return emails, and composes beautiful photos. Thanks Mkay! -

Mkay was absolutely killer on our wedding day!! Leading up to our day she was so responsive getting back to me in just minutes, and even included a helpful tips sheet I gave to my bridal party!
Everything went so smooth and I had no worries that our memories were being captured. She was so energetic and flexible even when our parents wanted more family photos lol. I loved every picture we received back and I won't hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family if they need a photographer.

Beyond Perfect!
Hiring Amanda was the best wedding decision I made! She was great at communicating, and really knew what she was doing! She made my wedding day all the more special! Above and beyond
Mkay is AMAZING. Not only did she take beautiful engagement pictures, but her creativity is astounding. On the way to our site, she spotted a little sunflower patch off the road and once we finished at the site we selected, she took the extra time to drive there and take more pictures of us. And personally, those ended up being my favorite pictures! We love her artistic eye and pure talent! -

Best Shoot Ever!
Mkay is a phenomenal photographer! I found her work on Instagram (photos_by_mkay). I knew I had to book her for my fall couple photos and my bridal shoot. She has always been punctual on our shoot days. Very patient and kind. She’s a sweet woman with an eye for locations, poses, and always gets the perfect shot. She is timely when sending the edited photos back. I’m always amazed by the photos she has captured. Wow! Personally: I've hired Amanda several times to capture my family, Christmas card, maternity, newborn, etc. Every time I cry tears of joy. Her photos are perfect, and I've never looked so good as when Amanda captures me ;)
Professionally -- as a wedding pro: Amanda is at the top of my list for wedding photography referrals for a few reasons. She makes my brides feel comfortable, is fun, and helps them pose and she gets great creative shots where the couple actually looks happy and not staged. Second, her full galleries -- I can't emphasize enough how rare it is to get a full gallery from your wedding day where you love 90% of the photos. Sure, 10% are going to be great, but you are paying for all of them and every time my clients comment on how amazing the entire gallery is from the tiny details to the family portraits and then the creative fun shots. My reputation is on the line for all the vendors I refer and I only refer the very best --- and that includes Amanda, Photos by Mkay. -
