Our wedding photos were truly incredible and I cried happy tears looking through our final gallery as we relived every special moment over again. We could not have chosen a more perfect photographer and we cannot recommend Photography Du Jour enough — run, do not walk, to book her services! Shauna is amazing!
Shauna photographed my best friend’s wedding and I was thrilled she was available for our wedding date. From our first virtual meeting, she helped us think through our timeline, offered helpful suggestions for creating special moments for just us as a couple, and strategizing how to effortlessly include our big blended family + friends.
We were fortunate to work with her for both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding day — both in Washington, DC.
Shauna and her staff are consummate professionals. Shauna was incredibly kind, helpful, and generous with both her expertise and time with our family and other vendors we worked with to make our wedding a success.
On our wedding day, Shauna was a calming presence, seamlessly capturing every special moment without being intrusive. The photos are absolutely stunning — each image tells a story and perfectly encapsulates the joy and love of that day. She even went the extra mile to take a few personal videos for my parents, since we weren’t in a position to hire a videographer.

The best wedding photographer
One of the smartest decisions we made when planning our wedding was hiring Shauna at Photography Du Jour. From our first phone call, to our big day, Shauna was just absolutely incredible paying close attention to our needs and interests but also really getting to know us as a couple. She is a genius when it comes to photography having such an eye for making her couples looks stunning on their wedding day. She made me as a bride feel so beautiful while taking the pictures and of course in the pictures themselves. She cared about our friends and family remaining so kind and remembering to include everyone creating beautiful life long memories. During our rehearsal dinner and wedding this past November, Shauna also took the time to take exceptional candid photos as well as photos of the scenery, decor, and so much more to really capture how our weekend felt through all the senses. I think I have gone through our wedding photos at least once a week since they were shared - cannot say enough good things about Photography Du Jour!
Shauna and the Photography Du Jour team were incredible to work with. From our engagement photos to our wedding day, Shauna made us feel comfortable in front of the camera (not an easy feat!)
What impressed us most was Shauna's ability to arrive at our wedding venue (a family home) for only the second time, and perfectly capture our day. Shauna and her team took care to make sure meaningful spaces were photographed, while finding opportunities to use the space in ways we hadn't thought about. Her artistic eye is spectacular and the photos reflect the elegant but welcoming feeling we wanted for our wedding day.
Would not hesitate working with such a kind and talented team! -

Shauna was so sweet and nice. I just got married this past July and all the photos came out beautiful. From the detailed photos, to the candid, and everything else. Shauna was helpful in every way, even for non-photography related issues. Even helped out with my veil. Everything ran smoothly. She was the first photographer I spoke to and ended up booking her right away.
I highly recommend Shauna. -

Shauna turned all the photo sessions into amazing little moments during the day
I cannot begin to describe how amazing Shauna was during our wedding day. She knew exactly what I wanted from our first conversation months ago and made it all come to life. The variety of photos we got back took my breath away, I LOVE THEM ALL! She also styled me, fixed my hair, my dress, every little detail she caught and captured the most perfect moments. My husband and I got married this past October and had the pleasure of both Crystal and Blake photographing our wedding. I was initially drawn to the classic yet modern elements in their portfolios and knew they would capture photos that would be timeless. I did my initial meeting with Shauna and she exceeded my expectations with how thorough and thoughtful she was with everything. She brought up things for our wedding day I hadn’t even thought of and all of her recommendations helped the day go so smoothly. My husband and I are both active duty military and we took advantage of the free mini engagement shoot with Crystal. Neither of us had a lot of experience with professional photography but she made the experience so enjoyable and really made us excited for taking photos the day of our wedding. The day of the wedding Crystal and Blake were really great keeping us on schedule while still allowing the day to flow organically. They worked really well together and their stylistic differences gave us an amazing portfolio of both candid and posed shots. We are so grateful we had the whole team at Photography Du Jour play a part of our wedding day. The pictures turned out absolutely incredible and I can’t recommend them enough! -

Photography Du Jour was PERFECT! 10/10
I wish I could give 10 stars for Photography Du Jour! Shauna and her team were absolutely AMAZING at our September wedding. I first saw her at my friends wedding a few years ago and fell in love with their photos and how she captured their day. Shauna truly went above and beyond, recreated the most ideal timeline for sunset/evening photos, kept us at ease, all while making us laugh so we'd enjoy the day even more. Magazine worthy gallery!!
We could not have chosen a better photographer to capture our wedding day. We booked Shauna 3 years ago. When covid postponed our wedding 3 times, Shauna was so flexible, understanding and caring. We cannot thank Shauna enough for capturing some magazine worthy photos, as well as all the fun little moments in between. My husband and I are usually so awkward at taking pictures together but Shauna made us feel so comfortable, while also being on top of coordinating our family/group photos. -

Shauna took photos for our engagement, rehearsal dinner, and wedding and hiring her was the best decision we could have made! Taking photos isn't typically my husband's favorite thing but Shauna made it fun, short, and still captured every single moment and more than we could have ever wished for. Where do I even start? Shauna goes above and beyond… holding an umbrella for you to protect you from rain, directing the chaos that can come with family photos, adding a bobby pin or two to your hair because you’ve been dancing too hard, and making us feel so comfortable and relaxed in our photos with the right direction we needed. Our guests and family also said so many wonderful things about Shauna and how she tried to capture so many photos for them. I can’t recommend Shauna enough! She was a joy to work with and be around. Our engagement photos were beautiful and I know our wedding photos will be too.

Absolutely perfect
I usually don’t leave reviews but I was so blown away by Photography du Jour that I created a Wedding Wire account just so I could leave a review of Shauna. I eloped during Covid and missed out on great wedding pics. So when my dress finally came I knew I wanted to find the perfect vendor to capture what we missed. Shauna was that perfect vendor form start to finish! She set up a call with me to talk through exactly what I wanted (we even talked about my dress style and how to best shoot it). I wanted to shoot on the National Mall during peak bloom at the cherry blossoms , which is notoriously busy and stressful (but so pretty). Shauna was experienced, professional, and helped us plan the perfect shoot. During the shoot, she kept my dress and hair looking perfect even though it was 40 degrees out and SUPER windy. We make it to over 5 different spots in really short time (she was so fast!) and she had the best eye for what would look excellent in photos (locations, angles and photos). She helped us with posing so that we felt natural and looking our best, and overall just made the process so comfortable. She got sneak peaks back to us that same night and we were stunned at how beautiful the shots were taken and edited. It was a dream. Cannot recommend her highly enough!!! -

I can’t say enough amazing things about Shauna! First, her pictures are STUNNING. She captured the moments perfectly, and had amazing ideas for great spots, and the candids were great. But most importantly, she is a wonderful person to work with & makes you feel soooo comfortable. She went above and beyond as our photographer. We got married during COVID, and she put us in contact with previous brides who held their wedding to answer any concerns we had, but she remained flexible and understanding if we decided to move it. The day of the wedding, she made both me and my now husband sooo at ease during pictures. I can’t say enough, just book Shauna now, you won’t regret it! -

Shauna was highly recommended by close friends who hired her for their wedding, and my husband and I are so happy we took their advice. Shauna was everything we could hope for in a wedding photographer and wedding vendor. She was an absolute delight to work with, very responsive and flexible and just so incredibly nice! Neither my husband or I are terribly comfortable being photographed, and she made the whole process so easy and fun -- despite the FREEZING cold weather. She thought of everything and took advantage of what was thrown at us -- in particular, the WIND, capturing some of our favorite photos with my veil flowing beautifully! Above all, our images are STUNNING. She captures all the photos you would want to remember your wedding day, but then she takes it a step further by capturing really unique and beautiful shots. We would highly recommend Photography DuJour and hope to hire Shauna again in the future! -

Shauna captured our wedding perfectly
I could not have been more happy with selecting Shauna as the photographer at my wedding. She is incredibly talented at her craft, capturing the most intimate, authentic and beautiful moments, all the while ensuring that you look beautiful in your photos! She is also such a bright and lovely presence who went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was beautiful. Shauna and her assistant were a sheer pleasure to work with; their positivity radiated and immediately put everyone at ease and to actually enjoy being photographed (an oftentimes daunting experience)! Shauna listened to my inspiration for the wedding and delivered to perfection. She captured the most beautiful moments on camera, conveying the love and joy of our celebration. She was also extremely creative, orchestrating gorgeous shots that we would have never thought to put together. Shauna and her assistant even went so far as to IRON my wedding veil when they saw that it was wrinkled, and to instruct staff at our wedding venue to remove an obstacle that was blocking the aisle. To say that Shauna and her assistant went above and beyond would be a significant understatement. I absolutely adore Shauna and could not be more pleased with my experience. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!! -

Shauna deserves a million star review! My husband and I are typically kinda awkward in our couple photos but Shauna pulled something out of us to create incredible memories for us. We did not have very many demands, and in turn, Shauna could let her creative freedom go wild. I felt like she was excited and loving everything which made us that much more comfortable in front of the camera. She gave great direction on poses and what to do. She scouted out all the areas she wanted to explore and we hit them all. Not only is her work amazing, Shauna was a great human to be around and share our day with. I still find myself staring at all the images and it helps me remember the day after it being such a blur. -

Best Decision!
Shauna is such a talented photographer and a genuinely wonderful person! My husband and I are extremely awkward in front of the camera but Shauna and her assistant made us feel so comfortable and kept us laughing the entire time. I’ve never felt so confident before, which made our engagement and wedding photos amazing! Our wedding was even published in The Knot Magazine! Shauna goes above and beyond her duties and cares so much for her couples. She not only took amazing photos, but helped me all day, she even picked the earrings I wore! I honestly feel like she’s a family friend now. Photos are so important for a special occasion like this, so stop reading reviews and book Shauna! -

We were on a quick timeline taking pictures in the church after our ceremony, and she was able to get our families organized and take some amazing photos that our families will cherish forever. I would hire Shauna again and again and recommend her to anyone. You don't get a do-over for your wedding day--so do yourself a favor and go with a real pro!

I was looking for a photographer who knew the venue well and would take amazing shots without needing much direction from me, and Shauna fot the bill.
