Perfection!
There are not enough words to describe how amazing Vee is! We met her at a wedding faire and she was so professional, and had stunning albums showcasing her work. She was so easy to contact and have video calls with. She really listened about what we liked, were comfortable with, and what we were wanting.
She really is a super star! She quickly and respectfully got large families and groups in place to get our images before the ceremony. This allowed us to have some private time taking photos during our cocktail hour, with time for us to enjoy our cocktail hour! During the ceremony she was very respectful and mindful of the guests. She captured the shots without being a distraction or blocking views from guests. Throughout the night she captured incredible shots! I’ve been to a number of weddings where the photographer has a camera in front of all the guests’ faces. This is not Vee. She is discreet on the side taking photos, so everyone is comfortable, and the photos came out to perfection! We received so many compliments! I would book with Vee all over again, without question! She is so talented and has such a great eye for photography! -

Vee was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. She did a friend’s wedding pre-covid and was a natural choice for us. She was communicative pre-event and able to make it to our venue walkthrough, ready with questions. For our wedding, she arrived early and knew exactly what kinds of shots to get. We aren’t typically in front of a camera in everyday life, so she was amazing at directing us and making sure we looked our best. I am so grateful to Vee for the photos and videos that we will cherish for a lifetime. To have such a caring and calming person around during our big day was the cherry on top. (Seriously, my wedding dress zipper got stuck when the ceremony was about to begin and she helped my friends figure it out.) Do yourself a favor and hire Vee, I know I’ll be suggesting her to all my friends getting married in the future! -

She met with us beforehand to answer all of our questions, planned out closely with us our view of our special day, and delivered the most beautiful photos! Vee is the best!
Vee is such a gem of person. We absolutely fell in love with her during our free engagement session and loved the way our photos and short video turned out for our wedding. She always made sure that we felt comfortable and got to know us personally. She is super responsive and really dis a fabulous job capturing our vision. I can't say enough good things about her - highly recommend! -

We love love love Vee! I remember being shy the first time we met her for our engagement pictures because we had never gotten professional pictures done before. But, Vee is so comfortable to work with! She is great at communication and answers our questions promptly. Vee delivers her work as promised and the turnaround time is pretty quick! She recently captured our wedding and I just couldn’t wait to see her work. As soon as I received that email in the middle of the night, I immediately opened it and it was so worth the wait. Vee captured our day so beautifully and I have been sharing our gallery to everyone including our other vendors! Everyone has been complimenting how gorgeous the pictures are! I have been looking at the pictures almost everyday and reliving the day all over again! Thank you so much Vee!! -

Absolutely amazing!
We had Vee do our engagement shoot and wedding- she was great to work with and the photos came out beautiful! We were amazed by the highlight video she put together that captured our big day perfectly. We’ve watched that video so many times while laughing and crying that I’ve lost track! Highly recommend! -

Vanessa (Vee) was amazing at capturing the precious moments throughout the day! From the getting ready, first look, ceremony (before,during, after), and the reception photos. I’m not a natural in front of the camera like my wife but she helped with positioning. She’s very professional and easy to work with. On top of the amazing photos she captured, she made a highlight video that reminded us so much of our day! Definitely would recommend her! Thanks Vee! -

We got married in June 2019, and Vee handled both our engagement pictures and wedding. She did a great job for both shoots! I really appreciated her preparation and thoughtfulness prior to the event. Additionally, Vee was very observant and patient, which resulted in some great candid shots of everyone.
Lastly, the picture quality is great! I love her aesthetic! All pictures were bright, clear, and was not over edited.
We are so happy that we have these great pictures to remember our special day. They are currently going viral within the family! -

I found Vee through one of my co-workers, and I am so glad that I asked her. Vee was absolutely amazing! My husband and I did both engagement and wedding photos with her, and they turned out beautiful. Vee made us feel comfortable, as we had never taken professional pictures before. She is professional and sweet. She got us our photographs back very quickly. All of the photos are wonderful and Vee captured all the best memories of the day. My bridal party was very impressed with her as well during photos. We will recommend her to everyone! -

Annalyn Sent on 09/10/2018It is apparent when a professional is working to clock in, clock out and get their paycheck versus when they are truly doing something they love to do. Vee is a consummate professional who is flexible, friendly, has a passion and talent for what she does. She did both our engagement and our wedding, and all of our pictures turned out fantastic and has an uncanny ability to make even the most camera-shy people incredibly comfortable as she captures what has become two of the best days of our lives.
Vee isn’t the most expensive photographer out there, but that doesn’t mean she’s not one of, if not the best in the business as far as quality goes. As a musician, I’ve gigged plenty of weddings and have seen very expensive photographers unable to deliver the service and quality that she does, for 3x or more the price. She’s excellent at communication, catering to your needs and getting the shots that you want, keeps you comfortable while balancing both allowing for flexibility and keeping to the schedule of your special day. The photographer tends to double as a mini coordinator for most weddings, and Vee has that part of her game dialed in as well.
Every shot from both our engagement shoot and our wedding were absolutely stunning, and we couldn’t believe the amount of pictures we had received and the sheer professional look and character every shot possessed. Her style is very classic with a photojournalistic approach; every picture seems and can capture a moment, emotion, and tells a story. Pictures are not overly edited, and avoids the pitfall of falling into trendy pictures. Her pictures are vibrant with color and have the ability to withstand a lifetime, making her work incredibly timeless.
We hired Vee as our photographer and loved her. If you’re looking for a professional photographer with the experience, know how, talent and most importantly the love and passion for what they do, there is not a better photographer out there than Vee. -

Mabel Sent on 08/11/2018Book her before you're too late! That's the first thing I need to say. :D Besides that, I am so grateful to have met and worked with Vanessa for my wedding.
First of all, her communication via email was always quick, informative, and professional. Just how I like it! The whole booking process was painless and well-organized. I really appreciated how she was thoughtful of my needs. You could always tell she had the bride and groom's interest and happiness in mind.
We booked her for our engagement shoot and wedding and I'm so glad we did! It gave us a chance to get to know each other before the big day. During the engagement shoot, I was able to observe how committed she was to her craft. She scouted the place beforehand to find the right spots and coached with our posing the entire time. That was very helpful! Little did I know that this was only a small glimpse into her work ethic.
She went above and beyond during our wedding day. Vanessa arrived early carrying all her gear. She wasted no time at all and started taking pictures. I was pretty anxious that day, but it was a comfort to know that she was there capturing all the great memories with my family. I never once doubted her capabilities. During the reception, my mom was actually looking for her to make sure she ate! My bridesmaids told me that they almost had to force her to sit and take a break. The day was a blur for me, but I do remember admiring how dedicated she was to getting beautiful shots. My husband and I loved the private time we had taking pictures together. It was probably one of the more memorable moments of the day for me, and I'm glad I shared it with someone that understood that.
In the end, all the pictures turned out amazing! I'll share some of my favorites. She also did a video montage for us that exceeded all my expectations. To any brides out there pulling out their hair looking for a photographer, please look no further. You'll be lucky to have Vanessa take care of you!

Veronica Sent on 03/26/2018I’m a bride to be from Houston and found Vanessa via Facebook because I was going to SF for a work conference and thought it would be a great idea to do a photo shoot with my fiancé. I had reached out to various other photographers however they were crazy super expensive and didn’t offer much for the price. Thankfully I came across Photography by Vee who was within my budget and had great photos in her portfolio. Working with her felt like a breeze. She communicated with me along the way and provided direction the day of the shoot. Happy to have found a Texan native in San Francisco to have taken our pictures.

Amit Sent on 10/11/2017Vanessa is excellent, look no further for a photographer who offers great quality snaps for a good budget. She stuck by her agreement and didn't accept parking fee reimbursement, but I went ahead and paid her extra, because she was that good. She is down to earth and it feels as if she is a friend who is helping you get the best snaps possible, I would love to hire her again in the future whenever we need great photos. We contacted/reviewed over a dozen photographers, she is the best.
