Nothing short of AMAZING
Scott and Monique are both INCREDIBLE to work with! Tahoe was a destination wedding for us and from the moment I spoke with Scott on the phone I immediately felt at ease with his personality. We met up with his wife, Monique, in Truckee on our way up to Tahoe to see some of their albums/ work and she equally made us feel at ease and boy was she knowledgeable!! After meeting them both and seeing their quality of work, there was NO WAY we could go with anyone else- NO ONE else even compared!! They knew/worked the Tahoe land, lighting and captured candids like nothing we had ever seen before. Scott and Monique not only were our wedding photographers but were also more of our wedding planners than our actual hired wedding planner. They both showed up and worked nothing short of MAGIC on our wedding day!
Scott and Monique made my husband and I feel so comfortable and organized before and day of the wedding- which was not an easy task considering we were “out of towners” and usually uncomfortable with being the center of attention. They both have an AMAZING eye and skill for photography that cannot be matched. They both were a dream to work with- always there to capture the best shot. We were so ahead of schedule on our photos, a nearly impossible feat for a bridal party of 11, that I got to enjoy time, champagne and the best of conversations with my closest of friends before I walked down the isle. Anytime I turned around Monique was there to photograph me and my guests- which I greatly appreciated. The same goes for Scott and photographing the groom and groomsmen. They both have their own unique eye for photography and their collaboration makes for the best, creative and unique pictures. Both of them are a must on your wedding day!!
The price for both of them may seem steep when budgeting for your wedding. But trust me it is worth every penny! Their work is unmatched!! And you want unmatched pictures/documentation on one of the most/if not the most important day of your life! I told myself we would save by not buying an album- we loved the pictures so much we ended up purchasing 3 albums! Most beautiful albums I have EVER seen!! Couldn’t even resist if I wanted to!
My husband, myself, my family, bridal party and wedding guests couldn’t and still can’t stop bragging about how amazing of a duo Monique and Scott were pre, post and day of our wedding. Aside from their gorgeous, original pictures, they are extremely organized, helpful, resourceful and personable!
I can’t sing Scott and Monique’s praises enough. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. The quote, “you get what you pay for” has never rang more true as it did with them. They are truly masters of their craft, capturing ALL the moments that flashed by on what seemed to be the fastest yet most memorable day of our lives. Thank you, Monique and Scott, for EVERYTHING you did to make a little girl’s dream of a magical wedding come true!

Ashley Sent on 06/14/2011I began with a list of about 10 photographers, after searching through hundreds of portfolios waiting for something inspiring I discovered Photography By Monique. I recognized a photo that I had fallen in love with, it was in a book at my wedding venue when we had first visited. It was by chance that I found this amazingly talented couple.
Scott & Monique are rarities...deciding between their work was a difficult choice. After heavy consideration and viewing their subtle differences in style my husband and I decided confidently on Scott Sady. It was one of those moments, talking to Scott for the first time that we just knew we'd made the perfect decision, we completely clicked. From every conversation Scott seemed genuinely excited about our event, about all of our ideas and the theme.
Speaking with both Scott and Monique was a pleasure, effortless. Any email or phone call was returned promptly and with the utmost consideration, the whole process - coming from a gal who despises paperwork - was simple and straight forward, actually inspiring and got our wheels turning. We chose a 6 hour timeline and Scott patiently went over the entire plan for that day with us numerous times so that everything was confidently in place.
The day of, we had a sudden change in weather. Scott arrived even earlier than he had mentioned to scout the property, which was a wonderful surprise. The reported partly cloudy and 60's day went to rainy, down-pour, then snow - Scott wasn't phased, he was inspired, he just went with it and created something incredible.
To see your photographer excited is a ridiculously great feeling! He didn't capture moments he captured emotions, he captured who we are at the core, on film. He captured our parents and friends at their greatest moments, it's unbelieveable that he was able to capture what they mean to us in our hearts through an image. Our family is astonished with his talent, we're speechless. Scott is an artist, he has that innate ability to predict exactly when he needs to press the shutter... we could not be more impressed or utterly amazed by his work.
We don't just have pictures of our unforgetable day, we have a roadmap of every emotion we felt along that journey. Our unpredictably snowy day is now our story, as coined by Scott himself. We recieved everything we didn't even know we needed - completely unexpected and everything better than we ever could have imagined.
Thank you Scott, words are not enough, you are incredible!

Monique was amazing. Her pictures were wonderful, she captured everything via a great photojournalism lens, and did a great job of blending in so as to not interrupt the festivities. Both my father-in-law and cousin are professional photographers and were extremely impressed with her work. Highly recommend! -

Monique and Scott gave us the best engagement and wedding photos we could've asked for. From a freezing January engagement shoot (formalwear on snowshoes in the snow on Donner Summit) to the most professional, creative and thoughtful photography on our wedding day, they were amazing to work with! They handled everything from our photo booth to our wedding albums, and we were thrilled with the experience and photo results. Their attention to detail, lighting, and ability to make us relax and laugh made our wedding even more perfect. We couldn't recommend them more. -

We got married at Gar Woods in Carnelian Bay and found Monique's work online and fell in love right away. We didn't even interview other photographers, just spoke with her and got her booked right away. She and her team truly know how to capture the beauty of the nature and also the people. We did our engagement shoot and were floored then and then just recently got our wedding day photos back and somehow were floored all over again. Just when you think it can't get any better...it does! I can't wait to get these photos printed and up on our walls. Will definitely be using them again for family photoshoots in the future. Thank you Monique & Scott - you are truly amazing and everything a bride & groom can ask for. -
Rachel Sent on 05/02/2018We loved working with Monique! She is amazing, so professional, and she took the most beautiful photos. She photographed our wedding in March at the Corner Barn in Graeagle, in the snow! What we loved most is that the photos she captured were mostly candid and perfectly in the moment, which is exactly what we wanted. She really is a photojournalist and captured the day’s journey and the absolute joy of the day. We’ve received many many compliments from friends and family, especially from the blog post Monique put on her website of our wedding.
I loved how direct she was. I told her “I am not good at getting pictures taken of me, so please direct me however you want.” She did a great job and was incredibly patient. Monique even helped with timing. She suggested when we should get in our dresses, how to hold the flowers, and she worked with the DJ to make sure he knew where we were before he moved forward on our wedding day timeline. We didn’t have an official wedding coordinator, but Monique helped keep us on task and on schedule throughout the day. She made sure to capture those magical snowy moments and twilight shots that we really wanted.
She made an amazing and thoughtful blog post, gave us 250 hard copies - storytelling of the day - a flash drive with all of our photos, and a link of all the pictures to send to family and friends. Initially, I was a bit nervous about the price, but it was so worth it. We could not have been happier with the moments she captured. I know we will look back at these 50 years from now completely content, with big smiles on our faces.
We absolutely recommend Photography by Monique with the highest regard!!

Monique is incredible!!! Beyond amazing!!! She took photos of our wedding last fall at Mt. Rose Ski Resort, and every photo turned out beautifully. We keep going back to look at photos from our day and are surprised to see how she captured candid moments that we would have otherwise forgotten. From the expansive landscape views, to intimate photos of the ceremony, to energy-filled shots from the reception, she somehow recorded it all. Many thanks, Monique, for making our day so special! -

He was responsive and courteous leading up to the event, and spent a lot of time with me going over the details and making sure that he was fully prepared. On the day of the proposal, it was pouring rain but he showed up in a rain coat and handled it extremely well. I'm really happy with our experience and highly recommend this studio. -

Scott was originally our photography for a 2020 wedding in Lake Tahoe and because of the pandemic we had to postpone once and cancel a second time and finally settled on the RItz in Half Moon Bay. We asked Scott if he would still be the photograper and he agreed. We couldn't be happier with the result. He is professional, fun and very creative. The pictures were amazing, amazing, amazing!! We would highly recommend Scott for your wedding or any event needs. -

We chose to work with Monique and Scott because we loved their story telling approach to photography and video and because they were very familiar with our unique venue - it was the best choice! They are so friendly and very professional. It was extremely comfortable having them around the entire day and I barely even noticed them hard at work capturing every single moment of our day. Our photos and video were delivered quickly and are gorgeous. Monique and Scott were very responsive to our questions and helpful at outlining a timeline for the day. -
