Mauricio was our photographer for our “wedding pictures” after we eloped. His work speaks for itself, but I can promise you that if you chose him you will not regret it! If you don't believe me, just skip right to pictures and know we only told him we wanted to be in the forest.
Now for the details: Words cannot describe the incredible experience we had with Mauricio and his team. Lets start with the fact that we weren’t even in the country (Costa Rica) through ALL of the planning process; which makes things infinitely harder. Mauricio kept in constant communication with us and was very timely in his responses. He was professional from the moment we found his website and he was willing to work with whatever we were throwing at him: we wanted a wedding photoshoot in a literal forest and that is what he delivered and more! He had the foresight to to look into to look into the conditions of where we wanted to take the pictures and offered suggestions which proved invaluable (we would’ve gotten soaked if we didn’t take his advice!).
Mauricio is also willing to go the extra mile in ever aspect of your shoot; we were in a very remote location, at a very early start time in the middle of the forest! He handled everything with the utmost professionalism and with the best energy and a huge smile on his face! I also asked for a few pictures early so I could gift them to my grandmother and he sent them within the hour!!!!!
Mauricio is the type of person to listen to your vision and make that a reality in a way that you didn’t think was possible. We are very awkward people by nature, but Mauricio immediately put us at ease and guided us through all the poses with patience and understanding. He even gave us a crash course in posing before we started which was extremely helpful. Not only is he a professional, but he makes you feel like you are too! We felt like models in a photoshoot, which is saying a lot from people who usually only take selfies. He is also fully bilingual which was great since I speak Spanish but my husband only speaks English. I didn’t need to translate at all which took some of the workload off me!
Mauricio and his team hiked approx 2 km in the forest to make our vision a reality and we could not be more grateful!!!!!!! I could’ve never imagined the pure MAGIC that resulted from his technique and eye for composition. This is not someone who relies on filters or edits; he fully understands what needs to be done to obtain the pictures of your dreams!
In short, Mauricio is the photographer you have been looking for. He will surpass your every expectation and you will make unforgettable memories!!!!!

Mauricio was our wedding photographer and we could not have chosen a better photographer. Not only were the photos beautiful, they were exactly what we wanted. Mauricio takes the time to know you and your partner, he takes time to understand your relationship and dynamic and meets with you prior to the wedding to really know the small details that will make your pictures unique and wonderful. My husband did not want posed pictures, he wanted to not even see the photographer and Mauricio listened to that. He was a ninja and obtained candid pictures that are amazing. On the other hand, I asked him to get pictures of my grandma and my 15 year old maltese as they are very important to me and wanted to have wonderful pictures of both. He delivered exactly that. Mauricio is not only an excellent photographer but an incredible human being. Although we worked with him only for our wedding, it felt like we had been friends for years. His personality and how he treats you makes you feel like you are good friends, making the process all the better. I would get married again, just to have him as our photographer. -

Amazing memories, it was everything we dreamed!
Our wedding was the long awaited culmination of a love story that involved us living in different countries. We are both on our second marriage so we were very sure of what we wanted for the wedding. Mauricio was the first vendor we booked, I had been scouting for months for photographers so the minute we got engaged I knew who I wanted, our wedding was a year and a half away but I would not risk him not being available so we made the call even before we had the venue. Since day one Mauricio welcomed us with a smile and genuine interest in knowing who we are and what we both liked, he wanted to understand our story and our personalities in order to be able to cathch those little moments that may go unnoticed to everybody else but were special to us. He and his team were always professional, kind and joyful throughout the event, he understood the moods, the pace and would be alert to get those fantastic shots only his eyes and mind could see at the time. We LOVED our photos, this was a big deal for us because we wanted elegant but full of feeling, we wanted to feel the joy and the love, we wanted to feel the laughs and we wanted something we could hang in our Family room as the center photo of many more that will come in future trips and birthdays and graduations. Mauricio gave us everything we hoped and dreamed of, I cant recommend him enough, nobody that choses him will ever regret it. Thank you Mauricio and Team, we are in love of your view of our love. -

Desde nuestro compromiso definimos que queríamos tener los mejores recuerdos de nuestra boda. Cuando empezamos la búsqueda de nuestro fotógrafo recibimos la recomendación de Mau y al ver su trabajo supimos que él era el indicado.
Desde la primera conversación que tuvimos con él, nos sorprendió bastante su manera de trabajar y el interés en conocernos como pareja para plasmar nuestra esencia en su trabajo, creemos que esto marca una diferencia sobre todo en esos momentos de planeación que a veces se vuelve un poco caótica. Pudimos notar su dedicación y amor en lo que hace y esto se ve reflejado en cada foto. En definitiva, podemos recomendarlo a ojos cerrados y estamos seguro de que nadie va a salir decepcionado. Al momento de recibir nuestras fotos quedamos impresionados con el resultado porque superó nuestras expectativas, es increíble la magia que hace con su cámara. Desde niña siempre soñé con el día en que me iba a casar, era fue un sueño para mí. Cuando me di cuenta de lo importante que eran las fotos de la boda ya que iban a ser mi único recuerdo a lo largo de los años empecé mi búsqueda de fotógrafo para nuestro día especial. Cuando vi el perfil de Mau y su trabajo en Instagram supe que él era el elegido para retratar todos los momentos que iban a pasar en nuestro gran día, y así fue.
Que belleza de fotos, están increíbles. El día de la boda pasa tan rápido que no pude notar muchos detalles … fue hasta que vi las fotos que me logré percatar de todos los detalles que había capturado Mau y su equipo. Lograron retratar perfectamente el amor que hay entre nuestros familiares, la relación con mis hermanos y mi tía mamá. Mau nos instruyó sobre la importancia de la sesión de esposos y woooowwww las fotos son espectaculares. El acompañamiento que da Mau a través de reuniones virtuales nos ayudó a priorizar qué cosas eran más significativas para nosotros en ese día, y con eso llegamos al getting ready, no sabíamos lo importante que es ese momento hasta que ya lo estábamos viviéndolo y saber que Mau y su equipo estaban pendientes de tantos detalles fue simplemente asombroso.
En resumen: gettin ready, nuestra ceremonia religiosa, fiesta, invitados, carnaval, todo quedó retratado para la eternidad con fotos de alta calidad y lo más importante llenas de amor y con un trabajo impecable de parte de PhotobyMau. Solo podemos decir Gracias !!!! -

Highly recommend Mauricio Ureña, incredible experience
We found Mauricio from seeing his photography of other weddings at our venue, and we knew instantly that he had to be our wedding photographer. His style is completely unique - it was vibrant, artistic, dramatic, happy and emotional. His style is able to capture moments perfectly, and his photos are able to not only capture our feelings in that moment, but also our movement. He gave prompts that made us laugh and cry in the most genuine way, and we couldn't feel more comfortable working with him. Mauricio also took the time to have two long calls with us before the wedding to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. This really helped him show our personalities and our relationship on camera.
We hired Photos by Mauricio and his team for nine hours on our wedding day and were absolutely blown away by the experience. They arrived early, moved carefully and efficiently through the different shoots, and got tons of photos while working within the wedding timeline. The team did a great job of directing everyone for the portraits and showed an incredible ability to bring out the emotions in everyone they were photographing. Once the reception started Mauricio and his team were capturing everything. They got incredible action photos of not only everyone dancing but also the emotions in the room. The photos turned out beautifully and perfectly memorialized the joy of the night.
Mauricio is a true artist. He was a key component in making our wedding as special as it was. He was able to get us a preview of his work after just 2 short days, and the pictures were breathtaking. We can't wait to see the rest. We can't imagine working with any other photographer and couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Mauricio.

Seriously. Stop looking for anyone else. He and his team are the absolute best you will find. Thoughtful, extremely creative, and attentive to your specific style and comfortability. It was like having your biggest day photographed by a close family member. Mauricio is a very talented photographer who captures every moments of your special day in the most beautiful day.
We live in USA and wanted to have an elopement wedding in Costa Rica. We didn’t know anybody there. I found Mauricio in instagram and loved his photography. Everything We Could Have Asked For
Mauricio and his team are incredible. My husband and I got married in San Jose, Costa Rica this past October and the photography was very important to me. I feel very blessed to have found Mauricio. La decisión de tener al mejor fotógrafo de bodas la tomamos incluso desde antes de planear la boda, Zianne desde hace un par de años en el programa de tv 7 Estrellas donde entrevistaron a Mauricio tras recibir el premio "The best of the best Wedding 2020" desde ese día Zianne dijo él será el fotógrafo de mi boda y así fue, cuando nos comprometimos y pusimos fecha no teníamos pensado ni el lugar de la ceremonia, pero ya estábamos en contacto con Mauricio y para nuestra mala suerte la fecha que teníamos pensado hacer la boda, él no tenía disponibilidad y eran 8 meses de antelación que le hicimos la consulta, ahí nos dimos cuenta de lo importante que es planear la boda con más de un año de anticipación y tomamos la decisión de cambiar de fecha y la pasamos para un año y un mes después y ahí si tuvimos la bendición que para esa fecha Mauricio y su equipo si tuvieran disponibilidad. Nos emocionamos aún más con la primer conversación que tuvimos con Mauricio porque hablamos vía telefónica y se interesó no solo en el trabajo, sino se dió a la tarea de conocernos para saber nuestros intereses y así ayunarnos y ampliarnos el panorama de lo que son las fotografías de la boda, ya que la boda con todos sus detalles y tiempo de planeación se reduce a un día y las fotografías serán el recuerdo que nos quedará para toda la vida y a partir de ahí no nos quedó la menor duda que Mauricio se encargaría de las fotografías de nuestra boda, porque con él la comunicación es excelente, súper ordenado y claro en todos los aspectos que dan una seguridad hasta en las cosas que uno no contempla y esa tranquilidad de saber que uno cuenta con una persona responsable para el papel más importante, el responsable de generar los recuerdos que nos quedarán para toda la vida, esa tranquilidad vale oro y con una calidad y un profesionalismo increíble. My now husband and I hired Mauricio for our wedding at Zephyr Palace on July 30, 2022.
Mauricio was one of the best investments and decisions that we made for our big day. From start to finish he was consistent and attentive with accommodating and creative ways to submit deposits internationally to hearing our vision and incorporating his own into our pictures.
His technical side with his ability to relate to the photography subjects shows his undeniable skill level. When we met prior to the wedding, he coached us on how to pose and move together to get the perfect shots. This is important when you do not know how to be in front of a camera on such a critical day of memories.
Every team member of his was clearly talented and both my husband and our guests were impressed with the photography gear they traveled with. I’ve been to plenty of weddings but I’ve never seen, nor did I expect, the special touches with lighting and communication that surrounded us.
To speak to his character, Mauricio is so fair, honest, and caring. You can feel that you are not just another client to him and it is clear that he loves his job. He stayed in touch with me after the ceremony to make sure our experience in Costa Rica was amazing. When your photographer checks to see if you arrived safe home in the states, you know you are working with an amazing soul.
Mauricio’s gorgeous bold images are not on accident. He is educated and continues to push his limits to be the best. If you select him I promise you are making one of the best decisions for whatever event you have planned.

Working with Mauricio was such a pleasure!
When we did our wedding at Hotel Villa Caletas, the venue recommended Mauricio, and we are so glad they did so. Mauricio impressed us many times during the entire wedding process, from the planning beforehand, the day of the wedding, and the editing process afterwards.
Before the wedding, Mauricio had multiple zoom meetings with us, where he took a lot of time to get to know us and what we wanted from his services. Some of the questions he asked us during the initial interview were very deep and thought provoking, which was impressive. The nights before the wedding he made sure to zoom with us again and go over all the details and schedule of the wedding day so we would be on the same page. He really helped take a lot of that stress off our shoulders.
The day of the wedding, Mauricio and his team were nothing but spectacular. There were so many different aspects of the wedding that the team got great photos of. They really captured the preparation with the wedding party, individual portraits of bridesmaids and groomsmen, family photos, the ceremony (of course), speeches, the dinner, and the wild afterparty. The photos were so candid and well captured that we could actually hear the volume through the photos.
One aspect of Mauricio's skill as a photographer on the wedding day which really stood out was his ability to improvise. The wedding did not go exactly as planned: bridal party preparation took longer than expected, certain locations which we had planned for photos had to be moved, but every time something changed, Mauricio and his team adapted and got it done without coming off as stressed or stressing us.
After the wedding, Mauricio was very communicative about the editing process and timelines to get us our photos. He was able to send us a few key photos very soon after the wedding which was nice to have as an appetizer. After a few months he delivered the photos to us and we were SO happy with his work! We're not professional photographers so we can't speak to the composition, but there was a healthy blend of dramatic, artistic photos as well as natural, candid photos. Every single one of our friends and family who we have shown the photos too have said over and over again what an amazing photographer he was and how they looked like vogue shoots.
Mauricio and his team were beyond impressive, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. We feel so absolutely lucky to have been able to work with him, and have our wedding captured in these memories so beautifully. -

Imposible estar más agradecidos con Mau. No solo demostró ser un excelentísimo fotógrafo y que sus videos son únicos de una calidad inigualable, sino que el cómo persona es único, súper especial. Siempre nos hizo sentir cómodos a pesar de que incluso les dijimos nuestras preocupaciones y temores, aún así siempre nos dio una excelente atención, el trabajo repito es único. Nuestra experiencia con Mauricio fue increíble. Desde el inicio, hasta el final.
Vi en Instagram las fotografías de boda de una amiga y desde ahí me enamoré de su trabajo. Le mostré su sitio Web a mi esposo y todas las fotografías nos parecieron muy profesionales e inspiradoras, mostraban la esencia del momento vivido… lo que nosotros deseábamos para nuestra boda.
Tuvimos la suerte que al contactarlo nos dijera que sí tenía disponibilidad en la fecha requerida y desde ahí inició una respetuosa y linda relación cliente-proveedor. Desde un inicio Mauricio nos dio la confianza para abrir nuestro corazón y contarle nuestra experiencia de vida, lo que consideramos fue capturado en cada una de las fotografías de nuestra boda. They get to know you as a couple prior to the wedding, guide you on the decisions that you need to make, and help you plan out the itinerary of the wedding. Mauricio was the photographer at my sister's wedding, and after seeing how he worked I knew right there me and my fiancée wanted him to be our wedding photographer as well.
We were actually very pleased with the engagement and wedding photos we hired with him, because he helped us feel very comfortable all the time and we enjoyed both experiences very much. Getting our wedding photos with Mauricio was an even better experience than we expected and final result was breathtaking. -

Impecable Service & Team
First let me say a million thank you’s would never be enough. Mauricio and the team work is beyond amazing. We had to reschedule our wedding 3 times unfortunately due to the global pandemic (initial date 8/23/20, final reschedule date 4/25/2021). Looking back at our photos it was absolutely worth it. Prior to hiring Mauricio and the team the initial plan was to fly photographers out. Unfortunately one of the previous photographers caught covid and wasn’t able to travel due to some long lasting effects of covid. When we found Mauricio and the team it was honestly a blessing in disguise. We married at Villa Caletas, “Zephyr Palace” and the entire day and week was a dream. If you’re planning a destination wedding go local with vendors.This is coming from a bride whose initial plan was to fly a bulk of the vendors out. The entire team knew the property, were able to make photo shot recommendations (based on previously working at the property) and knew the timing of the sunset. Understanding the sunset time is VITAL and some traveling photographers will not know this unless you’re a local from Costa Rica. During our initial phone consultation Mauricio was very pleasant, thorough and detailed in answering our questions. During that consultation we spoke about some important shots that I wanted to get, editing concerns (we’re African American and wanted someone who knew how to edit various skin tones) and a surprise I had planned. Mauricio reassured he and the team would take good care of us. Also made professional suggestions to assure I get the shots that were important to us. The insight and recommendations were spot on the wedding day (trust your photographer). He also reassured me that though I planned the entire wedding (we did hire a day of planner) our wedding was going to go great due to the vendors selected. As a bride this was reassuring, especially when you’ve done a bulk of the planning. I can not stress enough in my review, one of the BEST decisions made was trusting Mauricio and the team. On the day of the wedding the team arrived earlier than expected to assure they were set up and ready to go on time. Throughout the day the team was attentive, took their time to perfect the shots and went through the day with ease. Mauricio and the team were sure to capture those important details we spoke about during our consultation perfectly. Looking at our photos and album you could see the story unfold. I’m still in awe that me and my husband met at a shrimp stand and married at a beautiful palace in Costa Rica. One thing I would like to suggest to future couples is to add the day after shoot and for brides another professional makeup application. Even if you have to make adjustments in other areas. DO IT! Though I loved taking photos on the wedding day, the day after shoot was intimate and alot more focused on getting those wow shots. During the wedding day you’re moving on a timeline and full of nerves vs the day after it’s more of a calm setting and little more lead way with time. The entire team is passionate about their work and it shows in the photos. After the wedding is over, the only thing you can take with you aside from memories are photos and videos. I can not stress enough about hiring the right team. You want a team that’s passionate about capturing your story, detailed and great at editing the moments for your big day. A personal thank you to Mauricio. My husband's asthma flared the night of the wedding and the day after the shoot my husband wasn’t 100% himself. Not only was the team patient when we had to take a break, but looking at the photos you honestly could not tell. Mauricio genuinely cared to checkin on us after the shoot to make sure my husband was okay after finding out we took my husband to the local hospital. Below are some photos from our wedding. To be honest there were so many amazing shots which made it hard to just share a few. We recently found out we’re expecting our first child next spring and hope we’re able to travel back to Costa Rica to do a maternity shoot with the team. Thank you all again for making our day everlasting and memorable. -

No podemos explicar en palabras lo increíble que fue la experiencia con Mau y su equipo, la verdad es todo lo que uno puede soñar y más. Al tomar la decisión de contratar un fotógrafo sabíamos que no podíamos dejarlo en manos de cualquiera, necesitábamos al mejor, vimos el anuncio en el periódico y ahí inicio la experiencia, hicimos totalmente “ Click “ desde ese día.
El conocernos de previo, el poder tener una sesión de compromiso, poder conversar de que era lo realmente importante para nosotros hizo que en ese día tan especial se capturarán los momentos más auténticos, genuinos y con una calidad increíble. Momentos que tienen un significado por motivos personales, muy muy importante y que permitieron que personas muy valiosas pudieran disfrutar. Momentos que se van a atesorar para siempre.
Mau y su equipo simplemente armonizan perfecto con el resto de equipos en la planificación de una boda, son más que un fotógrafo, son amigos. Dan una confianza, cercanía, tienen mucha creatividad y dedicación. Todo se refleja en las fotos, aunque tuvimos que esperar un poco, esa espera valió muchísimo la pena.
Mau lo que haces es arte! De verdad capturar emociones genuinas, cada foto puede sentirse , las emociones están a flor de piel. Le hace total honor a su profesión, es un ser Maravilloso, Artista y Único.
Simplemente gracias nuevamente por hacer e inmortalizar nuestro día soñado, momentos que atesoraremos por siempre. -

Desde la primer reunion que tuvimos con Mau para coordinar las fotos de nuestra boda supimos que era el indicado. Todos los detalles que tuvo con nosotros hicieron la diferencia para que las fotografias fueran justo lo que esperabamos. Se tomo el tiempo de escucharnos y conocernos detenidamente incluso antes de nuestra boda. Ademas de asesorarnos para crear un ambitente natural y sin la tension que usualmente uno que no es fotografiado a ese nivel siempre tiene. El resultado final habla por si solo, son fotografias magicas y no solo porque fueran de un dia tan especial sino porque revelan la pasion que tiene Mau por lo que hace. Mi esposo y yo estamos enamorados de todas y cada una de las fotografias, sin duda valia la pena tener al mejor a nuestro lado en este dia para que nos ayudara a guardar los recuerdos mas lindos para siempre. -

It all started with our engagement session. At first, we immediately noticed Mau's genuine interest in finding out who we are, what drives us, etc. Building this rapport was crucial since having a good relationship helps a lot in getting the best results. During the sessions themselves, he was very accomodating and easy-going but still super professional. This translated into both enjoying the moments thoroughly and a set of awesome photographs (which of course include Sally, our beloved Westie!).
Before the wedding itself, we had a very useful sync session, where he gave us tips to get the best photos possible. Also, he scouted the locations a couple days prior, which was crucial as he found out some of them weren't as neat as expected. This played to our favor in the end... keep reading :)
Finally, the day came and Mau and his team were on-site in a timely fashion. We had our theme set of photographs (we're both Star Wars fans so it was a blast!) and then on to the ceremony, all the critical moments were captured in detail.
Once that was over we had a surprise waiting for us (remember the location which wasn't up to snuff?)... well, we got access to the hotel's golf course instead! It truly seemed like it was out of a movie -- we rode golf carts (in full wedding attire of course) with Mau following us, taking picture and documenting it all. He then proceeded to take absolutely breath-taking, phenomenal pictures on the greens... Mau's composition, technique and on-the-go location finding are second-to-none. Honestly, these are some of our best photographs... ever! And of our family members and friends agree 100%.
The night came and during the dinner and other activies Mau and team were fully engaged, making sure that everyone was part of the pictures. We also had a brief session, just the two of us, where he did a very neat lens trick under a huge chandelier... it ended up being one of the best photos. Finally, the ceremony ended and we parted ways with a heartfelt hug and a big thank you for all the excellent and hard work.
Overall, he has both: photograper skills (good eye, technique, gear, crew) _and_ he's an amazing human being (well-mannered, keeps thing fun while still being productive, empathethic, etc.). We believe he's a master at his craft and recommend his without any reservations whatsoever. Do we plan to contact him again in the future for more photographs? Absolutely.

I would like to share the amazing experience we had working with Mauricio and his team. In 2019 we started to planning our wedding that was supposed to be on July 2020. In Costa Rica Unfortunately we had to reschedule it 2 times due to COVID-19 restrictions. Mau was always there supporting us until the days of our wedding finally came. I feel so blessed that Mau was part of my wedding team. Always committed to his job and an amazing creativity. The pictures came out AMAZING. They are definitely a magazine pictures. Tomar la decisión de quien va ser la persona que va capturar momentos tan increíbles como lo es la boda,defintivamente es una decisión muy difícil, actualmente existe muchísima competencia en el mercado de fotografía, muchos tienen precios o paquetes muy económicos pero lamentablemente la calidad no es la más linda o al menos no era la que nosotros añorábamos, haber escogido a Mauricio como fotógrafo de nuestra boda, fue una de las mejores decisiones que pudimos haber tomado, desde el día uno que lo contactamos su profesionalidad destacó del resto de los candidatos, cada una de las fotos que nos entregó tienen detalles especiales, que nos transportan a los mejores momentos vividos en ese gran día.
La calidad de equipo con la que cuenta Mauricio es impresionante, los controles que implementa para mitigar posibles riesgos de pérdida de fotografía y por el compromiso de seguridad para transportar los recuerdos tan valiosos qué hay en una boda, nos dejaron impactados y eso hace una gran diferencia.
Otra fortaleza que nos impulsó a escogerlo fue la calidad de la página web con la que cuenta Mauricio, sumamente profesional y nos logró mostrar material que ya él había tomado en otras bodas y eso terminó de convencernos el maravilloso trabajo que ejecutaba. Adicional leímos los reviews que las personas le hacían y nos generó mucha tranquilidad y confianza.
Posterior a la boda los invitados, quedaron impactados con la calidad de equipo con la que contaban y el desenvolvimiento del mismo en todo momento de la boda desde la iglesia hasta la recepción.
Definitivamente lo recomendamos a ojos cerrados y estoy segura que si lo contratan van a quedar más que satisfechos del trabajo que les va entregar. -

La experiencia con Mauricio fue increíble, lo recomendamos para cualquier ocasión a ojos cerrados. Es el mejor en su trabajo y hace que toda la experiencia sea muy bonita. Quedamos asombrados con el resultado, las fotos parecen de revista. Nosotros estábamos un poco inseguros con respecto a cómo elegir al fotógrafo para nuestra boda ya que no somos mucho de fotos y no sabíamos mucho al respecto. Nuestra wedding planner nos recomendó a Mauricio y nos animamos ya que vimos su trabajo y nos gustó mucho. El trabajo que hace Mau es increíble, tanto que parece magia, y es que las fotos de Mau son mágicas, cuentan una historia, retratan el sentimiento del evento en su esencia. Nosotros como pareja, nunca habíamos hecho una sesión fotográfica, mucho menos sabemos cómo posar o comportarnos frente a una cámara si no es para un típico selfie (y a veces ni así), pero Mau con su profesionalismo, creatividad y paciencia se encargó de dirigirnos con pasión y amor, y los resultados fueron espectaculares y hablan por si mismos. Incluso se salió del típico rol de fotógrafo, haciendo esfuerzos extra para que una simple foto dejara de ser simple y retratara tanto nuestro sentimiento como su pasión por lo que hace.
Después de haber visto las fotos de la sesión de compromiso, nos gustaron tanto que para la boda sentíamos demasiada confianza en su trabajo y tranquilidad de que las fotos iban a quedar bien y que todos los momentos iban a quedar capturados, y así fue, quedaron increíbles!
Definitivamente el trabajo de Mau es de tan buena calidad que de ahora en adelante y si Dios lo permite, será nuestro fotógrafo para lo que venga! 100% recomendado!

Picking the photographer for one of the most special days of your life is a daunting task: not only he wil be part of your special day but, he will need to capture all those moments and emotions. Simply, a work of art!!
Before our wedding we had seen Mauricio's work in his webpage. Outstanding sceneries and amazing images capturing the truly significant moments. So we decided to hire him for our engagement and wedding photos. He and his crew took care of every single detail. Our engagement shootout was in La Fortuna, near Arenal Volcano and they drove all the way there, for like 75 kms and we had the most amazing shootout at the bottom if the volcano. For the wedding, Mauricio and his crew were also awesome. Meanwhile he and two more of his photographers stayed with me during my preparation at the hotel and took some great pictures with my friends, the rest of them managed to capture everything at the gazebo, guests, groom and details before the ceremony. At the reception we had the most amazing photobooth and they captured every memorable moment.
We couldn't be more satisfied with the results, he ended up giving us around 1.000 photos (not all of them edited as per our request) in a beautiful personalized flash drive. His service was exceptional, prompt, friendly, flawless. Mauricio and his crew, not only made us feel comfortable at the shootouts but became our friends from the moment on. They are truly nice people and the best thing is they enjoy their work so much, that they put all their love making your memorable moments a truly work of art. -

We had one of the most wonderful experiences with Mauricio or "Mau" as we call him. With his warmth, personality, creativity and quality of service, he was the perfect photographer for us; it definitely aligned with our personality as a couple. As part of our photography plan, we had two sessions with Mau; our engagement session and our wedding session and both were spectacular.
Ability/Skills: Mau is really skilled in his art, he truly captured the essence of our relationship. My husband and I have a really happy and quirky sense of humor and he was able to capture each moment specifically at the right time. The technology and tools used are best in class, which allowed Mau to capture some outstanding photos in some challenging situations.

Value: From our experience, Mau's services are fantastically priced and are by far the best if we consider quality vs cost. His webpage and social media feed portrays some of the best photographs in the market and it is only a little depiction of what he is capable of doing.
Anecdote: It was amazing how we presented small details of our relationship to Mau and he was able to bring them to life during the photography sessions. As an example, we showed Mau a love commitment letter my husband and I wrote at the beginning of our relationship and months later during our wedding day he suggested bringing that memory back; the essence of the photo he took was amazing. Mau truly has a caring spirit within him and from the moment we met him we have considered him a really good friend.

La experiencia fue increíble, desde la sesión de fotos de compromiso hasta la boda. Realmente estábamos un poquito nerviosos porque habíamos visto otras sesiones en las que se debe fingir mucho y no queríamos eso, pero con Mau fue otro nivel porque era todo muy natural; solo fuimos nosotros y capturó nuestros momentos de forma perfecta. Nuestra experiencia con Mauricio y su equipo ha sido maravillosa; desde sesiones en familia, compromiso y matrimonio.
Durante las diferentes sesiones ha sido paciente, atento a los detalles y preocupado porque todos los deseos de sus clientes se vean plasmados en el resultado final. Las reuniones, disposición en ver el lugar de la sesión de forma previa al evento hace una diferencia ya que logra una visión de los mejores lugares y elementos que harán fotografías que dejan sin aliento.
Una parte importante es que Mauricio siempre se está actualizando en las técnicas y equipos más novedosos. Pero no solo esto aporta en su trabajo de calidad sino el equipo humano que tiene junto a él, ya que todos son pacientes, graciosos y detallistas lo cual hace de la sesión fotográfica un rato agradable.
Definitivamente Mau y su equipo le dan significado a la frase "recordar es volver a vivir" ya que se siente la emoción de ese día en cada una de las fotografías.
