Where to start?! On the most important day of your life you want someone to make you feel comfortable and like a million bucks and let me tell you that is exactly what Grace did. From the first consultation with her I knew she was going to be amazing. She lived up to those expectations and total exceeded them. She was so relaxed and casual while being so professional. She took a look around our venue prior to try and scope out some spaces for us. It was a breeze working and communicating with her and she was so quick to answer any questions I had. She made it simply seamless from the planning to implementation. My family is huge and so she had to corral a lot of people which she was excellent about and so friendly. The kids loved her and she made everyone feel so comfortable. She made me feel so beautiful and gave me some coaching on how to make it look more natural! The day of was so dreamy and she blended right into the crowd that I had no idea she was taking pictures but then I got them. OMG were they absolutely stunning. Like the photos were absolutely beautiful and so nicely done. I wanted the more candid feel for the photos and Grace totally nailed it. She captured so many moments that I was able to relive them while browsing the photos. The laughs and smiles she was able to capture was fantastic. The sneak peek was wonderful and totally knocked it out of the park. Then came the full collection and absolutely blown away and difficult to chose just one of my favorites! I highly recommend using Grace for your special day, you won’t regret it! -

Grace is really amazing! She is super professional but also easy-going to put us at ease on our wedding day and made pictures actually a fun, intimate experience. She was very communicative and helpful leading up to the day. She was easily my favorite vendor to work with. The pictures turned out magical. -

From start to finish, Grace was a calming, warm presence - the whole time we worked with her I felt like we were in excellent hands. She gently directed us without being "posed" or pushy. No notes.
Like any engaged person, I felt some anxiety about photos since that's the thing that you get to actually "keep" after your big day. When I tell you, not only do we look like freaking movie stars in all Grace's photos, she PERFECTLY captured the EMOTION of the moment. If you didn't know better, you would think our wedding pictures were a People Magazine Exclusive or something.
Just as valuable as the photos themselves was Grace's kind attitude and willingness to work with us on what we needed. It ended up raining on our courthouse day and she not only rolled with it, but got INCREDIBLE photos to boot!
Long story short: HIRE GRACE! -

Grace Kathryn Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From our phone consult, her communication style was funny, laidback, and honest, which immediately put us at ease. The quality of her work was amazing - they captured all the fun and special moments of our day in a way that was both creative and helpful. She was incredibly flexible, accommodating our wedding only being a week away, and providing a quick turnaround on our photos so we could relive the day. If you have seen Friends, I am like Chandler when taking photos, but Grace made an easy process, haha. We would highly recommend Grace Kathryn Photography to any couple looking for a talented, personable photographer who will make your wedding day that much more enjoyable. -

Grace Kathryn was amazing . We came from out of town for an elopement and from the moment we selected her we were in constant communication about our vision. She even helped with providing suggested local vendors. We met with her the week of the ceremony and walked the the wedding she shared her professional opinion and it really helped. The pictures tuned out wonderfully . I couldn’t ask for more. -

Grace is an amazing photographer! She photographed our wedding and we absolutely LOVE the results! All of our friends and family complimented the photos she did. I can’t say enough good things about Grace and her team!!We hired grace for our wedding this past April in Thousand Oaks. Grace is based in Santa Barbara and I live in LA but she was always so accommodating and kind and would meet us half way whenever we needed to have in-person meetings. She responds to emails quickly and is a pleasure to work with. Other than that her work is BEYOND!! My husband and I are obsessed with our wedding photos and if it wasn’t weird I would print them all out and use them as wall paper for my bedroom because each and every one of them is incredible. They are bright and vibrant and everyone looks good! On the day of the wedding her team arrived on time and made the best use of the time we had them for. They got so many detail shots of the venue and our cocktail hour that I saw things in the pictures that I missed in real life on the day of the wedding. A photographer is one of the most important vendors you will hire - don’t make the mistake of not hiring Grace! -

Best Decision Ever
The most important detail of our wedding to my, now, husband and I were the photos. Therefore we researched quite extensively and we are beyond grateful for the art Grace created in our engagement and wedding photos. She is knowledgeable, makes you feel very comfortable, and is extremely talented. Honestly I am short on words because her photos speak for themselves. I would say they have a romantic and artistic feel to them. Many of our loved ones have commented that she catches personal moments well and that her art is something you might see in a magazine. -

Grace was amazing on our wedding day! We had a really small wedding, but I was still overwhelmed on the day trying to get everything ready. Grace showed up and took charge, got things organized, staked our our spot at the Santa Barbara courthouse, and took the most gorgeous photos. My husband and I love them so much, and I cannot thank Grace enough for everything she did for us that day. She’s more than a photographer— she helped me relax! And that’s huge :) -

We had a small elopement (just my husband and 18 month old daughter) in Santa Barbara - so I was a bit nervous having strangers join in on our celebrations that day. Grace was so relaxed throughout - she was a pleasure to hang out with. So happy to have her as our official witness!
We could not be happier with our photos. Grace was so patient and sweet with our daughter - as we had to be a bit "go with the flow" with a toddler on board. Grace took such beautiful pictures of our family. I was so impressed with her ability to frame her photos and capture these special moments. She was able to suggest poses without making things feel forced or artificial. She also took some amazing pictures of the Four Seasons and Santa Barbara courthouse - which really helped us to remember the feel of the whole day. Our friends and family have been equally impressed with our photos, and consistently comment on how "stunning" they are.
Communication with Grace was amazing throughout the process. I just can't thank her enough for what she does - her photos created lifelong special memories for our family. -

We traveled from Sweden to elope in the S.B. Courthouse so arranging everything from abroad was an ease with Grace and we felt really informed during the whole process. Most importantly, the pictures turned out stunning and she guided us through the Santa Barbara Courthouse, making us feel super special. -

She blended well into the background so that you didn't feel or see a flash in your face on the day of, and the photos are breathtaking and full of emotions. She was also quick with sneak peak photos, which was awesome since you don't realize how much you'll want to see the photos once the day is over.
