If you’re thinking about hiring a photo booth vendor for any DMV event, definitely book Photo In A Box now!! I hired them for my September 2024 wedding, specifically the enclosed photo booth, and it was a huge hit at my event! They have so many fun props, the digital and printed photos are fantastic quality, and the photo booth itself is well-maintained and super clean!
Mike is fantastic and made the entire process so easy! From initial booking up to the event day, Mike was extremely communicative, helpful and professional throughout the whole process. He was there on the event day as an attendant and helped guests whenever needed, kept the props clean & organized, and ensured guests got their photocopies. Photo in a Box is an amazing vendor and I highly recommend them!! -

We used Photo in a Box for our wedding in May 2024. From the get-go, communication with Photo In a Box was easy and professional. When I mentioned my desire for a simple white background, Mike said it was no problem and he was happy to add it to his inventory. Mike also did a fantastic job matching the aesthetic of the photo strip design to the description/samples I had sent him, since we had wanted it to go well with the rest of our signage. We absolutely loved having the guest book of photo booth strips - it has been so fun to go back and look at all the pictures! Overall fantastic experience, we cannot recommend enough. -

This photo booth was so much fun, and Mike was wonderful to work with! It helped even the more shy guests open up and be a little silly, and really brightened the atmosphere at our reception. Mike did a great job on the photo strip designs and they made fantastic souvanirs for people to take home. -

One of the best vendor decisions we made!
For months, my husband and I agonized over whether to get a photo booth for our wedding. We knew that our guests wanted it, but all the options we found seemed expensive and lackluster. We were honestly at the point of just giving up—until we finally found Photo in a Box!
Photo in a Box gave us EVERYTHING we were looking for and more. First, they had a booth option that could print actual, physical photo strips, which we knew that our guests really wanted. Second, they could personalize and design your photo strip to your liking, which meant that the final product actually looked nice, rather than like something produced by Microsoft Word clip art. They also did not insist on including their company’s logo on the photo strip, which inevitably looks intrusive and tacky. Third, their prop chest was EXCELLENT and well-stocked—the props and costumes were things that our guests were actually excited about using, rather than just cheap and generic signs and sunglasses. Finally, we were pleased to discover that the photo booth images were surprisingly flattering and high quality! In fact, while we were waiting for our professional photography images to come out, my husband and I shared one of the photo booth shots with some friends and family and they were all shocked to learn that it came from the booth camera.
The process of working with Photo in the Box was also so easy and stress-free. Mike was incredibly responsive and communicative over email and answered every question I had (even when they were dumb). He provided us a link to the online gallery with all of our guests’ photos, photo strips, GIFs, boomerangs, and video messages literally one day after the wedding. But what we appreciated most was how much Photo in a Box provides you as their client without nickel and diming you for every extra feature. For example, even though we just booked the standard package, Photo in a Box provided us with magnetic sleeves that guests could put their photo strips in/use to stick on their fridges; a leather-cover guestbook as a keepsake for us (the booth would print out two copies of the photo strip: one for the guest to take home and one to put in the guestbook); and a variety of pens that guests could use to write messages in the guestbook. Mike also completely took care of set-up and break-down, and was on-site during the entirety of our rental time to hype people up for the booth and show them all the different features. Finally, though we didn’t end up using this option, Photo in a Box allows you to shut down the booth for an hour during dinner time without charging you for extra rental time (as long as you provide a vendor meal for the photo booth attendant)—that way, you can maximize your photo booth rental time for when guests will be most likely to use it.
I truly cannot say enough good things about Photo in a Box! Despite the fact that we almost didn’t hire them, they ended up being one of the best vendor choices we made for our day (and all our guests wholeheartedly agree!). I’d recommend them in a heartbeat! -

Mike was so accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process. I booked his photo booth services before I had the final walk through of the venue and knew how much space we had available. He laid out all of the photo booth options (there are multiple ones to choose from) and a few weeks before I was able to make a decision on which one would work best. Mike was extremely responsive throughout the process. On the day of the wedding Mike and his partner were incredible! My guests had a blast and at the end of the night he put together a book of all the photo-booth print outs with notes from my guests. I walked away with such a lovely book of memories and immediately had digital and print copies of everything. If you're thinking about having a photo booth at your wedding you should 100% hire Photo in a Box!! -

We loved working with Photo in a Box! We had to postpone our 2021 wedding and they were very accommodating! Mike was so helpful in designing our photo strip and explaining the options to use. Wow!! We are exploding with positive things to say about Mike & Photo In A Box! Mike stuck with us for three years as we navigated postponements and scheduling changes. He was constantly responsive, professional, flexible, and personable! He worked with us to create a custom photostrip template, was incredibly generous with his time/down time - allowing us to have the photobooth running during cocktail hour/down for dinner/then back up again for the reception, and sent us a replacement photobook within days of the wedding after the one created at the event had water damage. The props were more than the typical couple of glasses and silly hats. And we didn't even realize he had been having guests craft a guest book with their photos in real time! 10/10 service all around and so much fun. Thank you Mike! -

We had Photo In A Box at our April 2022 wedding and it was a huge hit! Admittedly, I was on the fence about having a photo booth but I am so glad we did! We were able to customize the backdrop and photo strip design. The photo booth was used throughout the entire night. They brought fun props and the two staff members working our event we’re friendly and helpful. After guests used the photo booth they were given two copies of their photo strips, one to take home and one to add to our guest book. Guests were also able to text and email digital copies of the pictures. We received the digital copies of the photo booth pictures a few hours after our event and have the guest book displayed on our coffee table. We loved looking through all the photos and messages from our friends and family, our wedding band even used the photo booth!! -

The photo booth was a very cool addition to our wedding. We were able to get tons of group shots as there wasn't a small box everyone had to climb into. There was a friendly attendant helping us the whole time, and printing photos for guests. It was a great activity for the guests! It was one of the best things we did in planning our wedding was having a photo booth. It is one of the things my guests CONTINUE to talk about! It is such a great way to remember the night! Photo In a Box were AWESOME! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! -

Best Photo Booth Vendor we have seen and hired in the DC region! Mike was amazing throughout the whole night. No problems what so ever, the admin team in the office were fantastic in contacting me to confirm last minute details. Quality of pictures was excellent. Easiest decision, best value for your party
Easiest part of planning my wife's 40th birthday party was working with Mike. He created a great custom 2x6 strip for everyone. Everyone commented how easy and fun it was to use the photo booth and the props. The best part, was that he reminded everyone to leave a video message and while they did that, he was already created the momento photo book where they could then write a message to the guest of honor. When the party was over, I was cleaning up and Mike handed me a thumb drive with all the pics and videos, he handed me a bounded photo book with all the comments and by the time I got home, there was an email waiting for me with a login and password to check out the pics and videos online. When we "recovered from our tiredness" the next day, we all sat on the couch and laughed at the videos, which got sillier and sillier as the night went on. If you are still reading this, just stop...call Mike and make the easiest decision of the many you still have left to make. Sit back and enjoy your event! -

Photo in a Box was such an incredible and easy team to work with! From day one, we were involved in the creation of our photo strips and photo booth experience. The booth itself was extremely modern, and the props were awesome! They even let us use some of our own props. After the wedding, the photo booth attendant put together a photo album with photo strips of all of our guests, featuring hand written messages! It was an awesome conversation piece to pass around the day after, and brought a smile to everyone's face. They even gave us a thumb drive, and a link to digital copies of all the photo booth pictures. Thanks Photo in a Box for making our day amazing!! -

Photo in a Box was fantastic and we cannot recommend them enough! Will was great answering all of our (many, many) questions leading up to the wedding and he even let me design my own background for the photo strip. When we didn’t know if the weather would cooperate, he offered to be flexible about when and where to set up the booth.
The enclosed booth was a huge hit at the wedding! Will was extremely helpful to all the guests and wonderfully friendly: My guests were all raving about him. At the end of the night he assembled all the photo-strips in a back fabric binder for us and a few days later we got the link to all our high resolution digital files (the strips, individual photos AND the mini movie clips we didn’t even realize were included. An absolute professional! -

He immediately responded and was excellent with working with me during my 16 months of planning. I kept him up to date throughout the months and he was always very responsive to any question or concern that I may had (and I had several). I was so excited to work with them! The day of my wedding, they showed up on time and the representative was awesome! His energy and enthusiasm made the guest keep running back for more pictures! They were a huge hit at my wedding! I got a copy of everyones photos with signatures in an album. I also received a CD and online gallery of all the pictures and videos. I would definitely recommend Photo In A Box! -

Justin Sent on 10/13/2014Photo In A Box was simply a pleasure to work with, throughout the whole process. Mike the owner helped me get a great price on the services we wanted, so the value was very high. He also designed several mockups for the layout of our photo strips, refining the design until we found one that was perfect over several weeks.
Then the day-of, the setup was seamless, the booth itself was very high-quality, and so were the pictures it took.
The assistant, Will, who assisted with the booth was charming, friendly, and helpful, and all of our guests loved the photobooth. He then took all of the pictures and arranged them in a memories book for us - far preferable to other places I've seen that make the guests put them in themselves. He did a great job with the layout and composition of that book.
The day after the event itself, we were sent a password-protected online gallery containing high-res versions of all of the wedding photobooth pictures. These all looked great and our friends on Facebook loved looking through them again. They also sent along a cd with all of the pictures in high res to our house.
Overall, super great value for all that was provided, and they couldn't have done a better job. Thanks, guys -
